Lovely food. Great service by Ed, we could not have been better served! My first time, could not fault it will be back soon!

Fabulous restaurant from m the moment we walked through the door. Was greeted by Dannii (I’m sure that was her name) and seated where we wanted. Drinks were provided in a blink and the service for thereon was absolutely first class. The food was well prepared and cooked perfectly from starter to dessert, and the spinach was to absolutely die for, where was Cote’s when I was growing up and hated everything green!! Whilst everyone of the staff that attended to us, the ab stand out is Dannii who we think is the manager at the restaurant. All We can say she is an absolute star and m ambassador to the restaurant, and just watching her greet all that came through the door smacks of a real caring by all the staff that they want you to have a great experience. First class.

I haven’t had good experiences in the past but today I had the best time! The breakfast was absolutely amazing and so worth the price! Service was absolutely amazing and staff were so kind and friendly, would definitely return!!

Having been a loyal fan of Cote for over 10 years and more it saddens me when keeping staff levels to a minimum compromises service. A hot summers evening with minimal service reflected on slow unattentive service flawed with mistakes. This was reiterated by the waiter who confirmed they were understaffed due to cost cutting. Every course, every drink there were far to longer a delay and even resulting in drinks being forgotten but being double charged and then having a unfortunate confrontation with the waitress questioning why we queried the bill. Cote has always been that go to classic but introducing Asian, Polynesian and street food dishes questions what direction they are heading in. This is first time in many many years it has disappointed and we will consider alternatives to visit next time.

Good food and delightful, attentive (but not intrusive) service. One of the best 'cotes' we have visited. When I phoned beforehand the manager kindly took time to direct me to the nearest parking; much appreciated.

Everything was very good for flavour but felt a little ‘mean’. Had fish stew which was lovely but a bit low in the dish, seemed like it should have another ladle of liquid. The charcuterie board and the fish stew both came with little slivers of bread. C’mon côte, bread is pretty cheap, a nice chunky piece would look good too. and no butter! Service was good

Met as a family to celebrate Mum's birthday. Communication with Gabby beforehand was superb, nothing was too much bother, and we were met with a warm welcome and great service on the day - all 17 of us! Dishes were pre-ordered and adapted to suit various dietary needs without question and we were served with a smile from everyone. Great service, would highly recommend. Gabby taking a photo of the entire family in the rain topped off our visit nicely and showed her willingness to help. Many thanks to Gabby and her team.

Overall very good but stopped short of excellent. French onion soup was not very rich and definitely a small portion - normal bowl but hardly half full so the cheese hadn’t fully melted. The rib of beef was very nice and cooked med rare as recommended. Good sides included in the price but was still a tad on the expensive side. Sensible wine list and good service.

My wife and I visited recently for a late lunch. We chose from the three course fixed price menu. To start we both had the salmon fish cakes with mustard sauce and a parsley, shallot & caper garnish which were delicious. I had the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the steak frites both served with triple cooked truffle chips. Finally we both had Plum Clafoutis, Plums baked in an almond custard with warm berry coulis & vanilla ice cream, all washed down with a lovely chilled bottle of Rose. The whole experience was lovely made so by our lovely attentive waitress who went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our visit.

We used to come to Tunbridge Wells fairly often but now Lewes is our branch to go. However the manageress recognised us when we were passing in front of the restaurant and invite us for lunch. Was so lovely to remember us and really felt like home. It always seemed that this restaurant is run by a private owner and not part of a chain….

We came for a coffee in the morning and was superb to enjoy the sunshine on the terrace. Staff was so welcoming that my son loved it that much that we went for lunch as well. The manageress recognised us quickly and seemed very happy to see us again. Had a good sense of humour that on leaving old us “see you for dinner”. We wished we have a Cote nearer to us…I think her name was Gabby, a nice welcoming host. Really recommend this place, both breakfast and lunch visits were great.

Having has breakfast regularly at Cote, Tun Wells, since it opened the last few visits have been disappointing. Originally the “complet” breakfast for 2 was available for a little over £20. The same combination has to be bought separately at a cost of over £40. Even allowing for inflation a serious increase. In addition both the quality and quantity of the full breakfast has declined considerably. In addition the coffee seems to be nowhere near as good as it was. The atmosphere and service are still excellent but it is now no longer a venue of choice for breakfast, a real shame.

We went here based on an email offer from Cote, plus I wanted to try the tartiflette. The two course offer wasn't a bad deal, with a specific menu, but plenty of choice. There was also a good wine by the glass selection for us both. The tartiflette was good, not quite as I remember it from my trips to Le MansThe service was good, the food is always good here, so all in all a decent lunch.

Lovely restaurant which was very busy but luckily we had booked. The menu is quite extensive and the food was delicious. I had onion soup which was served hot which really pleased me as so often these days soups are served tepid

This is a nice little find - nothing spectacular but good all the same. Food was presented nicely and my partner enjoyed his food too. The atmosphere was lacking a little as not busy but staff attentive. Would return.

We tend to favor The Ivy Brasserie in TW, but decided to take Lunch at Cote for a change and they lived up to expectations.The Food was excellent.The Smoked Salmon was good but not quite as good as The Ivy, however the Sirloin Steak was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth.It was a fairly busy day, but well managed once advancing from the initial doorway reception.The staff were professional and efficient, if not very friendly, but perhaps the face masks made it seem that way.The occasion deserves a 4.5, but not a 5.0.

Great Sunday brunch - lots of options for differing appetites. Greeted with guidance on how their Covid measures worked as we arrived and offered the choice of sitting indoors or out.Staff were wearing perspex face shields which helps a lot with communication in a busy restaurant.Will happily return!

Finally ventured out for dinner and had to go back to Cote. Nice to know the quality of food, great service and atmosphere is still the same despite having to deal with covid restrictions.The menu is still good French cuisine and everything is cooked well and tasted just as we expected.So glad this restaurant returned, we will be you g back again and again.

The staff did a great job. managing to be friendly through a layer of Perspex. But oddly the lock down has made the vegetarian and vegan menu impossible. So while there are about 8 meat/fish mains, there is nothing for vegans. It doesn't seem too hard to lay on a risotto or something. Anyway a nice evening but please tell the folks at head office that they need to look after all their customers.
