Me and my fellow spandex warrior took a route through this lovely little village and decided to stop for a quick refuel and a coffee, Both coffees where spot on , I had a black americano and my friend had a flat white , little cheeky pastry each too for some extra energy , which where also very nice and hadn’t long come out the oven so nice and toasty ! The staff where engaging and very friendly which was nice, they where busy as it’s only a small cafe but we had some seats and where happy to wait a few minutes for our coffee's which was no problem at all as patience doesn’t cost anything . Will definitely stop here again when we do this route next time ! 👍👍👍

Very slow service not really justified as small amount of covers, charged £3 for a cookie. Not table service, I had to go up and order. Croque monsieur was below average and not properly toasted. I ate half because i was so hungry and now just feel 🤢. Way overpriced and comparable to London prices.

We visited the facility on Saturday morning. Incredibly delicious coffee and pastries. We were very impressed by the confectionery they make, namely macaroons and cakes. They look great and are also very tasty. The staff is friendly and polite. Thanks a lot. Really recommend😍

I really liked the friendly atmosphere in this cafe and was impressed by the quality of the coffee. It seemed to me that this cafe is very popular in Wadhurst, because there were a lot of people. But nevertheless, we received the order on time and enjoyed the food. I ordered the Croque-Monsieur with Ham, Comté cheese, it was incredibly delicious and and my husband ordered a baguette with ham, which he also really liked.

Visited with a friend , lovely staff and great coffee ( I only like one shot in my latte and the girl was happy to make it this way) both of us enjoyed the vibe and will be back again.

This has the potential to be great, but there is a lot of work to do. We booked a table via the App but none of the three staff working on Sunday had access to the App and so there was no table for us. Only the manager who want in had access to the App. It is very small and so there was no where to sit. When a table came free we had to ask three times for it to be cleared. All three staff who were working appeared inexperienced (one told us she had only been there a week), needed training and were visibly over whelmed. We asked about gluten free options and were told there was a gluten free salted caramel brownie which we purchased. However, we were then told that the box didn't say it was gluten free so staff weren't sure. To compensate us they offered us the brownie for free which seemed to show a lack of training on allergies. We left when the very small space filled with smoke as clearly something had been burnt. We asked for the manager to give us a call to discuss our experience so we could provide some feedback, but she has had 5 days to call and hasn't taken the time. We wouldn't recommend a visit until the owners and manager have done a lot more work on service and standards.

This is a quaint little eatery in wadhurst which we have been promising ourselves to try for sometime, but we finally tried today. But have to say we was a little disappointed. There is a real feel of being in a French eatery but that’s as far as it goes. We ordered the Croque Monsieur with an egg, and a oat latte. Bearing in mind the cost for the sandwich was £10 it was very disappointing, The egg was over fried, and there wasn’t any Gruyère cheese, it seemed like it was cooked with cheddar and that was over grilled, the cheese was hard. We asked for some black pepper, and they brought a dish that you could clearly see that someone had already pinched some out of it. Needless to say we didn’t use it, one recommendation we would like to give to the Managment is invest in some salt and pepper pots they really are not that expensive or even loose packs, as it’s not the most hygienic way to serve up pepper, especially since covid. Have to complement them on the coffee, as it was lovely and was impressed they offered the Barrista oat milk. It’s a very small restaurant and it was extremely crowded, 10 people around a table of 4. But the manager asking for the 2 minutes silence was a nice gesture.

We went here on Monday morning for a pastry and hot drink before we caught our train. We were the first ones in the there at 8.15 and were really disappointed to see no pastries on display to be told they had just gone in the oven and would be 20 minutes. So we finally got our pastries at 8.45, seems strange that pastries aren't available for opening. Went to the toilets and they were filthy. Toilet dirty, sides dusty and bin hadn't been emptied. Sat in the window seats to people watch and the area there was dirty too. All over pretty disappointing and a let down to what is normally a lovely cafe.

Took our godson (8) and his younger brother (6) here for lunch yesterday before visiting Bodiam. They both loved the experience and being able to choose what they wanted from the menu. It can get very busy - so just be aware.

We had their French breakfast with omelette, bacon, vine tomatoes, mushrooms and baguette. It was tasty but rather overpriced at £10.95. We also couldn't understand why each omelette had to be made separately so that the meals came out one at a time. The cappuccinos were good but again rather expensive at £3.60. The cakes looked tasty so if we return then it will probably be for coffee and cake.

Heard that this place was opening on a Friday and Saturday evening and serving cocktails - so just had to visit and try, and we were not disappointed. We had two cocktails each before heading off for our dinner reservation but stopped by afterwards and had another couple each - very nice and well worth a visit, we'll certainly be going back there.

Just visited here for the first time and it was very nice. Very helpful and friendly staff and the food was delicious. They are "dog friendly" so you may find customers there with their dogs. We discovered that they have cocktail evenings on Fridays and Saturdays so we'll be going back to try these.

Lovely coffee shop - great that it is open on Sundays too. Service is great, staff are very nice and food is tasty. Coffee does not have a particularly strong flavour, but wouldn’t stop me visiting.

This was probably the best Croque Monsieur I've had. They used good bread and both the mushroom and the ham filling were so tasty. Our cappuccinos had a good rich coffee taste and nice froth and chocolate on top, (which you don't always get with a French cappuccino). We sat on stools looking out of the window and watch the world go by, enjoying some nice background music. At first we weren't sure it was open because the black front door was closed and there wasn't an open sign, but we are glad we tried it. We would recommend this place for lunch, but the croissant looked amazing and they do evening food too, I believe.

This has to be without doubt the most awful place I’ve been in a long time. Firstly, I could not get past the disgusting smell of dusty, dirty carpets and soft furnishings! It was vile and completely overpowering! The whole place stank!! The amuse bouches were hideous. A cucumber sandwich (seriously?), a tartlet which contained something unfathomable and a vol au vent which looked as though it had been sitting out in the warm all afternoon! I think it contained mushrooms but I really couldn’t be sure. The lobster starter was not good. The lobster was chewy and the salad leaves covered in salt. My husband’s scallops tasted fishy……never a good sign! His scallops also came with a vegetable spring roll which he said was completely tasteless! I had the lemon sole for main. The accompanying crab had a strange twang, I couldn’t eat it. The fish was ok, the green beans and celeriac were the best thing on plate. My husband said his steak tasted of liver and so was unable to finish it. I thought it unusual that the waitress wanted us to choose our desserts when we ordered our starters and mains. Very odd, and I’m pleased I declined to do so as after the poor first two courses, I really didn’t want to prolong the agony. I could have done with a coffee but I had no confidence that it would be drinkable so decided not to risk it. We won’t be back!
