We quickly became regular customers of this delightful restaurant located In Elphicks store in Farnham. The manager and staff are so friendly and helpful, always willing to listen to what the customer wants. The food both sweet and savoury is always very well presented and always very fresh. It’s one of those places where you want to go back and try something else because the choice is so mouthwatering. The standard of coffee is excellent, full of flavour and extra hot if that’s your preference. We have now moved away from Farnham and really miss the food, coffee and friendly team at Heidi’s. We will return whenever we’re in the area.

Visited today with my 7 year old granddaughter for lunch about 2pm. There was very little savoury choice. I had a soggy, thrown together wrap, which had a strange egg mayo filling. My granddaughter had a croque monsieur, which was ok, but heavy going. The member of staff was curt and rather patronising when I asked him about the food on offer. The coffee was unusually bitter and rather unpleasant, unusual for me, as I like strong coffee. As another review said, it was the noisiest cafe I have ever been in! The coffee machine was constantly banged, the crashing of plates and cutlery being cleared into boxes was deafening and we could hardly hear each other talk over the other customers who were raising their own voices to be heard. The food was over priced and the service poor. We will not return, sadly.

My family have visited Heidi ever since it opened inside Elphicks. We have never had cause to complain, and the food is always excellent. Sadly, our visit today was disappointing to say the least. We are both vegetarians, so our choices were limited anyway. The pesto pasta side was undercooked, and hard - and inedible. The Greek salad portion was almost non existent. To be honest, both main dishes were bland. We did speak with one of the waitresses who offered my wife an alternative. The cafe was fairly quiet, although many tables had not been cleared.

There has been a lot of closures since covid took hold thankfully Heidi bakery hasn't been one of them. My last visit was in February and thankfully nothing has changed, same amazing cakes same amazing service from Sandra and her team and same great coffee. A few new additions to the range since I was there last. The chocolate, orange and coconut cake is to die for. If your after a cheap yet well presented cafe that does amazing cakes and delivers consistently great service look no further.

There's a lot of choice for coffee and cake in Farnham but I was in Elphicks and thought I'd get a quick drink from the cafe there. Bright and well displayed cafe, plenty of options. As I was in a hurry I got a coffee to go and a apple muffin (gluten free) both great quality and great service from a very smiley manager, lovely to see. Looked very busy but will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

We were in Farnham and decided to try Elphicks for coffee. It looked really bright, clean and cheerful. The cake display was fabulous and the coffee was tasty and at a good price for Farnham. BUT: Service was far too slow. Who wants to spend the larger part of their coffee break queuing? Another barista would help. There were hardly any free tables and those that were free were not being cleared of dirty crockery. Who wants to juggle a full tray and dirty crockery in order to get somewhere to sit? Somebody dedicated to table clearance would help.

On a recent shopping trip to Farnham, we needed a pit stop and thought we would try this coffee shop in Elphicks Department Store. All of the cakes look amazing and very good value for money. Their food offerings look very tasty and I can't wait to go back and try them. Very easy to place your order and its delivery very quickly, their coffee is the best I have tasted in a very long time and I drink a lot of coffee. The staff are very friendly and like to chat ab out their offerings. I am glad to have found this little gem of a place and can't wait to go back.

I tend to drop in at lunch time or on a shopping trip. If you have not been before, at first sight it looks expensive but this is deceptive, it's just really good. There is an excellent and mostly healthy choice of salads with some good value 'meal deals'. If you fancy something less healthy like cake or a doughnut, it is just as good. The quality of the food is always really fresh and appealing. Service is polite and efficient. Recommended.

We visited Heidi’s last Saturday with 2 grandchildren. It’s our least fav place in Farnham as we have found the staff sour and unhelpful in the past and the queue for food very slow. But I had seen the advert downstairs stating that they did kids meals and I had 2 hungry kids with me so I headed upstairs with a double buggy (the reason I hadn’t gone to our regular fav Gail’s), stood in the long, slow queue only to be faced with an unfriendly face stating they only did kids meals in the holidays. Seriously!? When I asked why advertise it then, I was told the staff have raised that with the owner several times but that he refuses to change it. I asked for a business card or details where I could complain and was told they don’t have that info but to just do a review on trip advisor. Later the staff member came with an email address I could write to. Appalling customer service!! With or without kids I will never support another Heidi’s again!

Today I thought my uncle and I would try this place after seeing great reviews. He is Vegetarian and doesn’t eat eggs, so when I asked if there was anything he could have, I was told that there was nothing. The young man made it clear that there was nothing made without eggs. I then asked what would they provide if someone was allergic to dairy or eggs. The response that I got was that it was just one of those things as they had nothing to offer.I was too horrified by this blasé response and won’t be returning there in the future.

Had a very average lunch at Heidi's today. Unless I was missing something there seemed to be a very limited choice of lunch options. Some very sad looking squares of pizza and other pastry items - most of which seemed to contain mushrooms and cheese. We had the cheese and mushroom croissant which was heated. It was fine but the microwaving meant it was hard at the edges. The £5.95 menu includes a side salad and a drink. We had the rocket, beetroot and sweet potato salad which was as expected but lacking any sort of dressing. When I asked for dressing I was pointed to mayonnaise or salad cream in sachets; a french or balsamic dressing would have made all the difference. The tables were not being cleared or wiped, which I assume is down to lack of staff as the two people I saw were working hard at the counter. Shame, as with a few tweaks this could be great, but could definitely do better.

For just under £6 you can have a savoury .i.e quiche, pizza etc.with a salad and a cup of coffee. This is good value as it is a proper coffee. The savoury is warmed for you but that is a bit academic as by the time you get through to the till it is cold again!! then they had no knives so had to wait even longer.

This is the noisiest cafe I have ever been in, this is third visit & you can't hear yourself think with the noise of the coffee grinder being banged all the time, along with the crockery being collected up & the mixer going on in the kitchen part as well as the banging of metal implements, together with the chatter of everyone else around you & kids screaming all the time. The cafe is lovely but needs some sort of SOUND PROOFING, it echo's too much, can't stand it for many more visits, too much. We noticed a lot of people struggling to conduct a conversation with the person you were with.

I visited for the first time today. The range isn't huge, but for a light lunch whilst shopping it is great. The service was good, the staff friendly and polite and the surroundings modern, bright and clean. I had one of the cakes from the chiller and it was superb, and very good value for the quality. The coffee was excellent also, as was the 'folded up' cheese and spinach baked pizza type thing. The environment felt relaxed and welcoming and it is notable that there was a fair proportion of people eating and having coffee alone, which tells me that if people are comfortable doing that (as I was) then they are getting it right for people shopping alone. I would have given a rating of 5 if I had been greeted as entering by the staff, and if the tables had been wiped cleaner. Overall though, fairly impressed and would definitely return.

Had a meal deal which consisted of a slice of pizza, salad and a drink. The pizza was like rubber, the salad was just rocket leaves and a few slices of tomato and the cold drink they served me was juice from a concentrated carton. To make matters worse, there is no cutlery but wooden knives & forks !! Maybe they can't afford a dishwasher. I sent the pizza back and had a chicken ceasar wrap instead (which had gone soggy). Gave up at that point !! Awful food, unhelpful staff and will not be returning.

Heidi's replaced the (very) old style Elphick's cafe and proved to be a breath of fresh air in many ways. They have achieved the tricky task of balancing modern expectations of lighter fresher foods and more stylish baking whilst still meeting the demand for comforting sticky buns and traditional beverages. This new approach (and I have never had a disappointing visit here) still attracts most of the older stalwarts as well as a younger demograph.

Visited for the 1st time today for lunch, we had a bacon brioche bacon roll and chips the bacon was precooked and heated up in a microwave this was dry and neede sauce to be added to it. We had finished the roll before the chips arrived, not quite what I expected. It would appear that most of e food is precooked and heated up in a microwave, I would have preferred it to be cooked fresh. It seems to be more of a coffee and cake place rather than somewhere you go for lunch.

Whilst the food on display looked good, the tea and coffee was well below standard expected. Although this was the 2nd time visit, the first was just ok. however this time all 3 cappuccinos were very bland (very little coffee) and only just warm. The tea was weak. Had the tea pot not been filled to overflowing say to give 1.3/4 cups it would have been condiserably better. One of our party did have a leamon drizzle cake. Asked what was it like;- "well it filled a hole" It could be that the coffe machine was faulty or the staff member lack of training. A 3rd visit very unlikely.

My wife and I went to Heidi for the second time in as many months today. We both ordered from the £5.99 lunch menu, which for what you get is excellent value - a savoury item, side salad and a hot drink. In a regular soulless Starbucks, you'd be looking closer on £8-9. Plenty of room to park our buggy, and overall a very good experience.

But the cutlery was filthy. My companion went and asked twice for replacement clean cutlery but each time it was equally dirty. The staff didn't seem interested in trying to find any that was any cleaner. The food was fairly tasteless and the pastry soggy from being reheated. This is the second time that we've rendezvoused at Cote prior to visiting Art in Clay and it proves to be a great venue before we set off! We received great, attentive service (even though we weren't informed of everything that was unavailable before ordering) and the pace of delivery fitted well with our commitment to the show. The food was what you would expect from Côte but well served.
