The best restaurants serving French food in London

Best brownies ever. They are gooey from inside and crunchy on outside. Perfect flavour and sweetness.

We visited La Mere on a Wednesday evening and had a wonderful time. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the selective menu has all of the French classics you'd hope for. The food and wine menu are both great value for money.

Good for London and handy for the theatre

4 de nosotros vinimos a compartir una botella de vino después de ir a un espectáculo cercano. Hacía tanto ruido en el interior que pedimos sentarnos fuera, después de pedir el vino en el bar. Era su casa blanca y costó £ 38 que es la botella más barata que tienen. Nos ofrecimos a sacar el vino con nosotros y dijeron que no, que alguien lo sacaría. Lo hicieron, después de lo cual lo abrieron y llenaron los cuatro vasos hasta arriba. Debería haber revisado la factura en su momento, por supuesto y tendré más cuidado la próxima vez. No volveré a ir allí.

A lovely experience. David, the founder, served many of the courses with cheerful explanations. Delicious and thoroughly enjoyable evening.

The resturant was cold however the food was nice . Love the chips. The lamb chips where ok

beat bakery and LITERALLY THE BEST COFFEE IN london! also I don’t like coffee that much but this coffee is insanely good. I live 25 mins away by bike and I cycle here just for coffee. Buns are insanely as well, 100/10 recommend visiting.

Came here today for a catch up with friend. The food was amazing all 3 courses. The price was really good for the food we had. Throughly recommend this place. We attended at lunchtime no problem getting a table as it was quiet. Thank you chef and the lovely girl that attended to our every need with food and wine recommendations.

Stopped by for the first time last night, and found a new favourite; great atmosphere, and a refreshingly unique spot in the midst of so many franchises that dominate central London. Our waiter, Dan was excellent too — very friendly and a big part of what made our experience so good. A little piece of France hiding in plain sight.

My first time at Les Associes and I'll happily come back. We had a fantastic experience there: the atmosphere is very cosy, the food is exquisite and the service is great. The owner is very friendly and goes the extra mile to make you enjoy the meal. Unlike many French places in London serving pretentious food that is not even French, this place does fulfil its promise, it's a little gem in Crouch end.

Such a shame - seems to have gone downhill - they don’t bake enough for the demand that starts as soon as they open - think it might be under new ownership - feel for the people working out front as all they do is apologise for shortfalls.

Magnificent experience. Brilliant, classic cooking, with great service and wine. Needs to be kept for special occasions. A true gem!

Mi segunda visita a La Trompette fue para almorzar. Como visité un sábado, había un menú a la carta, del que pude seleccionar tres platos por 65 GBP. Entre semana hay disponible una opción adicional con tres cursos por 45 GBP. 65 GBP por la calidad de los platos es barato, y La Trompette me parece que ofrece la mejor relación calidad-precio en todos los restaurantes con estrellas Michelin, que he visitado en Londres. El pan recién hecho y la mantequilla fueron entregados rápidamente a mi mesa, y mientras navegaba por el menú tomé un buen cóctel del bar. Con la comida me tomé media botella de una pinot gris italiana. El primer plato fue sashimi de salmón con un aderezo de ruibarbo, puntos de crema fresca y nueces de pistacho crujientes. Muy delicioso y un buen comienzo. Mi plato fuerte fue un generoso trozo de bacalao, cocinado a la perfección; esta es una cocina realmente sólida. El postre era una barra de maracuyá con mango y helado de chocolate blanco, refrescante, ligero y dulce. Por último el expreso servido con dos trufas de chocolate. La Trompette ofrece una cocina muy buena y precisa y a precios muy decentes. Muy recomendable.

Consistentemente excelente, y una casa de curry local brillante. Servicio fantástico, buena comida. ¡Los lugareños deben estar allí todo el tiempo!
