Whilst this is at the expensive end of dining and popular with certain people. It remains true to its classic heritage and delivers beautiful food with effortless service and the right amount of theatre. Terrific atmosphere, widely spaced tables, talented pianist, I would go back for a special occasion.

Always happy to come back. Just not during the holidays as it's crowded.

Came for the breakfast with a friend, greeted nicely upon arrival & service was fantastic, however there is really nothing special about the breakfast itself, pastries were sadly kind of stale :( & i’m a pastry lover so had high hopes but they were hard, cold & tasteless. Lighting was quite dark across the hotel & lobby given it was 9/10am in July so we couldn’t really get nice pictures, nevertheless it is iconic & i’d recommend to do the once.

We've had many nice stays and meals at the Ritz, but the latest lunch didn't meet expectations. The crab starter was so cold it didn't have much flavour, the Dover Sole had an earthy dark mushroom sauce which would have lent itself better to a meat course, and personally I felt didn't work at all with the fish. Neither did the bitter slice of fennel, which didn't enhance the dish either. The dark chocolate souffle was nice but too rich on it's own, and needed something more than the tiny blob of ice cream that came with it.

It's everything you expect and more. The service is legendary. The price is too, but you get what you pay for in this case, and some. The beef wellington, for two, was perfectly cooked. Crisp on the outside, just enough truffle and the beef was nice and pink. My daughter had a headache and they popped out to the shops to buy her some paracetamol. My wife's 50th birthday. Couldn't have been more appropriate for this celebration. Thank you to the team, both those on service but also those behind the scenes.

This was my second time dining at the Ritz. My experience this time was awful and did not resemble the first time. I went for the 7 course menu with wine pairing. To start, the food was underwhelming. While presentation was pleasant enough, the taste was mediocre. Service felt rushed and waiters simply recited the contents of the dish, all felt very robotic. The wine pairing experience only added to the disappointment. The sommelier was confused about the origin of one of the wines. In terms of entertainment, the live music was nothing special, felt almost like the same song was playing but difference lyrics… I did like the dancing act though. On top of everything, the room was rather cold 🥶 Overall, very disappointing experience.

Everything is just perfect here. Please dress up accordingly.

Afternoon tea had been fully booked during the festive season, so I came to try the Ritz Breakfast. It's like as if you were in an oil painting. The setting really oozes out an aura that you will never find in other restaurants. The service was excellent, staff were rather attentive and caring.

Visiting The Ritz Restaurant was truly a gastronomic celebration. The interior is mesmerizing with its elegance and luxury, perfectly blending classic and sophisticated style. The service is top-notch — the staff is attentive, friendly, and ready to offer excellent recommendations. As for the cuisine, it exceeded all expectations. Every dish is a masterpiece, both in terms of flavor and presentation. I was particularly impressed by the combination of fresh ingredients and the chef's original ideas. The desserts deserve special praise — delicate, refined, and incredibly delicious. This restaurant is perfect for special occasions and moments when you want to feel truly exceptional. I will definitely return!

The photos and Review you see are from a combination of times through the last year and a bit my girlfriend and I have been to the Ritz, for breakfast , lunch , dinner and afternoon tea. This place is truly amazing. I came here originally once just for the experience, and now we come 3 or 4 times a year just because of how fantastic it is here. The decor during each season is truly unmatched and you can notice the detail and work that’s gone into each area of the building. The food, during whatever service- again is delicious. Some of the nicest food I’ve ever eaten. The afternoon tea is fantastic value for money and a very good way to experience the ritz. Dinner is the peak experience here (other than staying the night). It’s truly a special occasion, and “Live At The Ritz” night is something you should try. Getting up to dance in the ritz is certainly an experience. It’s expensive, but in my opinion, worth it. All the staff, are friendly, observant and chatty, which is fantastic- and I often recognise a lot of them now. It comes at no surprise that we will be here again soon. We came for breakfast yesterday (20th December) and once again it was above and beyond expectations. Thank you Ritz!

The Ritz Restaurant and the Ritz in general is a place to take your time and slowly enjoy just sitting. It is all about opulent grandeur, it oozes class and sophistication in its interior design and staff uniforms. We were lucky to see this hotel at Christmas, the decorations are fantastic! You cannot over dress for the Ritz so go for it! All the staff were welcoming, polite and professional. The food was particularly good, and it was presented like art on a plate, and service was lovely, simultaneously serving food to both of us and our servers noticing details throughout the meal. And the pianist was the icing on the cake creating a wonderful sophisticated atmosphere. I must thank the booking team for getting the date I wanted. It was fully booked when trying to book, but they put me on the waiting list. Two weeks later they gave me a booking on my fiancés birthday which was excellent and much appreciated. Thank you.

Afternoon tea at the Ritz. It conjures up all types of images and exceeds them all. The setting fantastic, the staff first rate and then there’s the food. The quality was as good as it gets, the portion sizes generous with seconds available if needed and to top it off, doggie bags available to take home any surplus. There was a bit of a wait to get a booking but it was well well worth it when the day came.

Unbelievable from start to finish. 3 courses of sheer delight, then Crepe Suzettes cooked at the table to finish (just because we could!). I mentioned it was our anniversary meal and received a cake and card (which was a lovely touch). The service was formal and yet friendly and John came over at the end for a selfie. All so amazing and great value for money. We’ll definitely be back for more soon. Thank you guys, a job well done

We had the wonderful pleasure of dining for lunch at the prestigious Ritz in London in November. It was three generations celebrating my mum and they gave us the most memorable and exquisite experience. I was in awe of the wonderful hostesses in their top top uniform and how pleasant and welcoming they were. If you were to celebrate any occasion this would be the place to be. I loved the intricate detail of the ceiling it felt like a Victorian castle, the ambience felt back in time. Our food was amazing and I loved & appreciated how they explained of what was in our dish. I would definitely go back again to try the afternoon high tea. Thank you again Ritz for your splendid hospitality!

A lovely meal with great service, and the acknowledgement of a birthday celebration was highly appreciated. Yes, it's expensive, but the quality of food, the standard of service and a few extras made this a memorable meal. Bread was delicious, as was the first course of pumpkin with black garlic and sage. The smoked potato gnocchi to follow was also good, even if the green beans were a touch undercooked. The sour cherry souffle was an excellent end to the meal. My dining companion said the cheese was the best he'd ever had. The main reason for dropping a star was because of the vegetarian options. I had indicated that we were vegetarian diners when booking and everyone who served us acknowledged this. But one of the amuse-bouche and a sauce for the main course both contained parmesan (which wasn't acknowledged on the menu itself). Parmesan, as I understand, is never vegetarian. Few restaurants seem to acknowledge this, but it's a shame when it's a restaurant operating at this level.

Writing this review on behalf of a friend Mrs J Jones who visited on the 2nd of December with family members for lunch. Surprised to see that the cost had increased from £90 per person in June to £110 which is an increase in excess of 20%. The portions had decreased in size and my friends left the restaurant hungry. The service was as good as ever and the dessert was very nice. Overall it was not good value for money, and has put me off from booking my 80th Birthday celebration.

We made a reservation at The Ritz for a party of seven. When we called to confirm, they said they had cancelled the reservation as we had not responded to their email requesting card details for the deposit. We explained we had not received it – it turned out they spelled our email address wrong! They then said that we could have a private room which we were happy to have. UNTIL they then said that it would be a set menu which couldn’t be deviated from. The set menu was for fish, meat, fish, meat, souffle. Unfortunately one of our party doesn’t eat fish…. and another one doesn’t eat meat! The Ritz claimed that it was too short notice to change the menu! Sorry, a restaurant which must cater for every dietary requirement imaginable couldn’t change a set menu for two people? So we didn't go and went elsewhere (and had a lovely time!). Utter rubbish. The Ritz was always our “go-to” place for special occasions – no longer!

We went for my sister's graduation and I have always wanted to come here. I was blown away - what an amazing experience! We were treated so well by some of the best and most professional staff I've witnessed. We had the epicurean 5 course dinner but it was more like 7/8 courses once amuse-bouche, petits fours and palate cleansers had been taken. Flavour, presentation, technical skill and extreme attention to detail was outstanding and on a par with the very best 3 star Michelin restaurants I've been to over the years. Hands down one of the top three meals I've ever had. Among the Christmas decor and lights this was an event that I will always remember and hope to go back one day to search the tome of wine they had on offer and try some more spectacular food. Ever detail of the meal was spectacular.

Amazing dinner experience at the Michelin-starred Ritz Restaurant in London, UK - absolutely delicious Native Lobster with Smoked Butter and Delica Pumpkin! Fantastic service, ambience, live music and dancing performance. It was heart-warming to see people of all ages dancing! We had a lovely time celebrating our Wedding Anniversary in Dec ~ thank you for your fantastic service, Luca, Alexandro, Arturo and all the staff at the Ritz Restaurant

The service was bellow zero for a such place. Beautiful place, good food but the service is very low. The waiter did not explain properly about the breakfast options, kept our table always dirty: empty glasses and dishes. There is a lack of communication skills. You need to give a proper training or get better people. It is okay to have such service for 3 stars hotel but not for a five stars hotel.

Dine at the Ritz is an amazing experience. The entire place is beautiful, especially at Christmas time. The food is excellent, the quality is extremely high and the service is superb. The staff is extremely professional. The crêpe is delicious and the show to make it was great! Note: check the dress code info on the confirmation email before to go.

Where to start... My husband treated me to such a special experience at The Ritz Restaurant for our 1st wedding anniversary on the 7th October, from start to finish the whole visit was just incredible, the staff are amazing extremely attentive and right on point with everything, the food we had was nothing short of utterly outstanding, topped off by a lovely anniversary cake and card, Thankyou Ritz for making our day so special.

This venue is definitely a must for a 5* dining experience. The place itself is beautiful throughout and the pianist adds to the ambience. The staff and service in the bar and the restaurant were highly Experienced and professional but were also friendly. The menu is mouth watering and the food was just delicious and top class. It was exactly what we expected from an award winning chef. It is more expensive than what one would normally pay for a meal as you would imagine but for a special occasion or just a visit to sample the cocktails, wine and food, I would highly recommend it. I will definitely dine there again in future 👍🍸

Over the top atmosphere looks almost like palace of Versailles inside there. Food was matching the over the top atmosphere and service was exceptional. Get the crepe Suzette. You won’t regret it 😍

Myself and my friend went for dinner last Thursday to celebrate her birthday. We arrived early and wanted to grab a drink but was told the bar was full. We saw some tables by the restaurant and asked if we could have a drink before we sat. The lady at the door went to bar and said we could sit on the tables outside that area so we did. After a few moments we noticed we had not been approached for a drinks order so I got up and asked for the menu which was a bit annoying. None the less the drinks were lovely and snacks a nice touch. We made our way into the restaurant which was stunning. Service was impeccable, from the somilier who started me off with a glass of pink champagne to helping us choose our wines. To the servers who seamlessly delivered our meals and cleared our plates. Amuse bouche was wonderful and well seasoned, followed by this incredible sourdough loaf which was warm! My starter was crab and my friend had pumkin (she is vegetarian and appreciated a separate menu for herself). My main Grouse and hers courgette flowers. The only complaint of the whole meal is she disliked her main saying it was mainly cous cous and lacked anything else. My main was the best piece of game I've ever had and the sauce was incredible. Dessert a chocolate souffle has to have been the best souffle ever and my friend enjoyed her dessert. A wonderful touch with a surprise birthday cake for my friend. Cocktails in the hall again to finish a wonderful meal out. It's not cheap but boy is it worth it. Just maybe a slight tweak at the vegetarian mains is needed?

There are a couple of reviews on this Beautiful Restaurant that are totally out of character to all others. They have been added by reviewers with no other reviews. Don’t be fooled by them. It’s a fabulous classical restaurant steeped in history. The service is the best in London. The food is exceptional. Yes it’s expensive but that’s why it’s all so stylish. It will give you a lifetime memory. If you don’t enjoy this level of service and experience don’t go. For everyone who does this is an experience not to miss.

It's The Ritz! What other review could there be? Of course the food is perfect. You can argue about the taste, some dishes were not to my liking, but that's my personal opinion. The only thing that is perfect is the desserts. The service is top-notch. The waiters are very polite and helpful. Sometimes almost too much. The prices are crazy, sure. But it's the The Ritz.

OMG! How to explain The Ritz. We went to the Summer Ball. It was amazing, everyone was so friendly. The staff were perfect, helpful and charming. The Food was glorious and the other guests were so genuine. Can't wait to go back

It’s a wow experience-from the food, entertainment and service-we’ll be back for sure! We loved each course-all presented as works of art-the appetizer-salad-sea bass-beef Wellington-crepes Suzette-Champagne-Port-entertainment… Staff makes you feel like royalty with an off the charts experience Jazz vocalist we’ve heard him sing at another venue in London and he’s fantastic-combining his talent with the 5pc band and then the performances by the dancing couple…vintage 20-30s era performance Worth every penny as the most expensive meal in London every year! They deserve more than the 12.5% tip and we gave them their due!

Always a pleasure to dine at The Ritz!

Brought my 91 year old mother here for lunch to celebrate her Birthday. I had booked the set lunch menu. The service from before we entered the building was first class. My mother is in a wheelchair and so we require a little more attention than abled body people. As we approached the hotel entrance we were net by the doorman with a smoky and we exchanged a few friendly words as they brought us to the side entrance where they setup the ramp. The waiting staff were very friendly and handled my sense of humour well. The ambience is wonderful, the restaurant for lunch is a lot quieter than the palm court where afternoon tea is served. We opted for the 3 course set menu but it was much than a three course meal, we were served with Amuse Boucheron, warm sour dough bread with salted butter and the following our three course meal we had some further sweet treats with tea and coffee. They also presented my mother with a birthday cake. It was such a wonderful experience that we then retired to the lounge area outside the Rivioli bar where I ordered a vesper martini and we sat and listened to the fantastic pianist. Mother did fall asleep. A Bell boy then assisted us with getting the ramp for the wheelchair. It is not a cheap experience for a boy from the Welsh Valleys but it was totally worth it and we recieved far more than expected on terms of quantity of food and Service. It was nice to have a quick chat with William from Brecon and Lucy who looked after us during the meal. I am looking for another opportunity to go back soon.

I came here with my fiance, ready to have a delicious meal and great experience. The experience was okay. And the food wasn’t good at all. I spent a lot of money here to basically not enjoy my meal. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

It was very great. I choose Ritz to celebrate a very special holiday closing my daughter’s summer camp in London. The place is just royalty! The service is speechless. It seems like people are there to guess what you want! The food was also so nice. The Wellington beef was a very choice. Additionally the music show put you in a movie’s scene. It is a once lifetime experience. Thanks to Ritz staff!
