Laduree in City of London, Westminster

Walked in today (March 20) for a box of Eugénie I bought as a gift — received a warm welcome by a bubbly lady (who was fantastic throughout), was educated a ton, and left the shop with a wonderfully packaged product.

Truly awful service. Went into the shop today, no one behind the counter and had to call out for service. A lady appeared at the bottom of the stair and said some would come and help. 10 minutes I waited for someone to serve me, when the gentleman appeared he didn't even apologies for the wait! To be honest his demeanor was like he was doing me a favour.

OK but could be more customer friendly. Pls make some efforts.

Not sure how this place has good reviews. The Macarons are the worst and the most expensive I’ve had. I got 8 different flavours, all 8 were dry. Two had bits in them from whatever filling they were which I had to pick out my mouth. You are paying for the name and packaging, certainly not the quality. If you want nice Macarons, buy off of someone on Etsy, do not give this company your money.

Laduree has always been a great place to get fresh, perfectly-made French Macarons. It’s makes for a nice gift, or a tasty treat when treating yourself to something delicious. The location at Royal Exchange makes this store very convenient when you’re walking around the City of London. But they also have one near Green Park if you are near the shopping district.

What's not to like? Soft creamy macarons with just the right amount of crispness... My favourite is chocolate and pistachio.

Lovely place, very quiet even on Thursday evening. Sweet and very helpful stuff. Loved the cakes ( trued two this time ) green time was very mild and nice too. Def worth paying a visit.

The macarons here are second to none; the texture is spot on and the flavours well balanced. Expensive but worth it.

Beautiful place and the pastries are just the best. So tasty you would eat everyday ! I highly recommend La Durée if you want to experience a bit of France. I don’t remember the name of the pastries but I suggest you to try the ones with raspberries and rose ! It goes so well together. They also have a nice range of teas (the vanilla one is the best). I will go back for sure !

It’s just magical from the moment you walk in! The most beautifully coloured selection of glorious macarons. Any fan will be in heaven here. Flavours of the month are always exciting too, with February’s cottony candy being out of this world! Can’t recommend enough!

Awful customer service. Went in on Tuesday around 7 pm, woman behind the counter was extremely lacking in customer service. The sign clearly says that you are able to choose between a square box and a rectangular box. Without even asking me the woman pulls out a rectangular box. I ask her if we do not have a choice between boxes. She doesn't seem to understand at first (typical eastern european) and then rudely says the square box does not come with paper inside and did i want a box with no paper inside! How about that. Just like that. At no point did she have a smile on her face. The only reason i went through with the purchase was because they were a gift for a friend i was meeting afterwards and i had no choice but to tolerate her standoffish attitude. In any other circumstance i would have walked out. I expect better from Laduree's staff. This has never happened previously. Maybe with brexit they will have to use polite English staff, not uneducated, rude and awful staff from god knows where.

Great little cosy place with quite a reasonable variety of french cakes, ice creams, chocolates, ciffee, variety of teas etc. A few 5, sitting small tables. Lots of other thins like perfume bottles, classy gifts etc. Worth a visit .

Visité esta sucursal el lunes pasado por la mañana (15 de octubre 18) después de un viaje al banco. Como cliente por primera vez de Laduree, estaba realmente emocionado porque escuché críticas entusiastas sobre sus macarons. Cuando entré en la tienda, el empleado estaba atendiendo a otro cliente y esperé pacientemente mi turno. Realmente me encantó el interior de la tienda, elegante y acogedor, así que tomé algunas fotos mientras esperaba que el empleado estuviera disponible para tomar mi pedido. Tomé un desayuno pesado y decidí pedir solo 2 macarons. La empleada puso los ojos en blanco cuando supo que solo estaba pidiendo 2 macarons. Me sentí en silencio juzgado por hacer un pedido tan pequeño. Cuando realizaba el pago, tenía una tarjeta de crédito basada en la firma en lugar de una tarjeta de crédito sin contacto, así que sabía que tenía que firmar en el recibo para autorizar el pago. Entonces, cuando se imprimió el recibo de la máquina de transacciones, lo arranqué de inmediato y me preparé para firmarlo (como hice con cualquier otro comerciante) y el empleado de repente se puso muy nervioso. Me miró con tono acusador y preguntó en voz alta por qué rasgué el recibo, llamando la atención de otros clientes en la tienda. Me sorprendió su reacción exagerada, así que no reaccioné por un momento y ella comenzó a repetir muy lentamente "¿POR QUÉ TEARSE? ¿TENES QUE FIRMARLO SABE?" Como si no pudiera entender inglés. . . . Cuando obviamente acabo de hacer el pedido en inglés. -. En este punto, estaba un poco molesto y solo replicé "Necesito rasgarlo para firmarlo. No puedes esperar que firme mientras el recibo / recibo de la transacción está colgando de una máquina". Ella volvió a poner los ojos en blanco. Y no se molestó en disculparse por su mala actitud. A drop of Paris in London. Delicious and dainty macarons in a variety of flavours with adorable gift boxes available. I have not yet tried a flavour I don't like, they're all amazing. In the summer there is an option of ice-cream or tea and coffee all year. This shop is very small so there are only 4 or 5 2 seater tables inside, it is very quaint and cosy.

Cosy little café with the most beautiful macaroons. Salted caramel is a firm favourite but always love to try their Limited Edition. The cakes and pastries are little pieces of art.

I have been a regular consumer of Laduree Macarons! I couldn't endorse them enough.I fell in love with Macarons ever since I tasted my first Laduree macaron. I have recently also started having tea at their place and I love their Ceylon Tea - very refreshing!My favourite macaron flavours are rose, pistachio, coffee!

Came here to buy presents to take back home. Got there about 5 minutes before closing but the lady who helped us was very friendly, patient and helpful. I asked her to put ribbons on the individual boxes and she did it beautifully. She even gave me extra bags to put the boxes in. Thank you! Appreciate the great service!

Situated in a beautiful building, Ladurée is a gem for the best macarons in London. The interior is a fashionable, elegant look, with a Parisian charm. The macarons are divine --they have seasonal flavours you do not want to miss out on. I personally recommend the pistachio and green tea flavours. They tasted delectable and I cannot wait to return again. 💖

Excellent customer service and delicious patisseries. What more can you ask for! The macaroons are just right and aren't sickly sweet. It is very difficult to choose a favourite as they are all very yummy but I love the rose petal flavoured macaroons the most.

More than just Macaroons - whilst best known for their Macaroons I would suggest visiting for a decent range of very tasty pastries, with some interesting flavours; more importantly they have a selection of must have cakes. These vary throughout the season and are literally divine. Also not to be missed are some of the most exquisite biscuits. Finally they have added a delightful seating area to have a quiet tea, cake and chat in an informal setting.

Todo parece muy lujoso, pero todo el mundo era muy amable y no una mente que estábamos allí por más de una hora charlando con una tarta y bebida cada uno.Amplia variedad de tés y selección fabulosa de pastelería de calidad. El macaron puede ser la especialidad de Ladurée, pero diría que la tarta de vainilla es la mejor opción, totalmente delicioso, ligero y lleno de sabor, el cielo. Y gran parte sie.El pistacho nuestra época también era excelente. Altamente recomendado para esas ocasiones especiales cuando usted desea consentirse.

Value isn't the best when compared to a proper Parisian pastry shop. Macaroons are pretty good. Overall it seemed to be more show than delivery.

Особенно, когда ты приехал из России, где такое лакомство не продают (хотя слышала, что в Москве открывается первый магазин в январе 2016 года).Уютный магазин, милая продавщица за кассой, она действительно была очень мила и я подарила ей русскую шоколадку. Она была тронута!)

Best macaroon in London. I've even done the taste test in Paris between Ladurée and Piere Hermé and these guys are just my favourite! They are my guilty pleasure when I'm near Bank station. I'm a sucker for the raspberry or chocolate ones!

Visited this quirky little French restaurant yesterday, lovely experience, we sat outside on the upstairs balcony for tea and macaroons, yummy. It was very peaceful and relaxing, staff were helpful and tea was served from lovely cups. A little bit pricey but well worth it. Next time we will go for lunch.

Yum yum yum - gorgeous macaroons. Such beautiful colours, exquisite tastes and subtle colours. And the gold leaf lined packaging. As a present - guaranteed to get you out of trouble with the other half.

The Macarons here are incredible. The Rose Lychee amazing, purchase as many as you can afford. You're looking at £1.80 per macaron. Two or three will easily cost the same as a slice of cake in a local coffee shop, but these things are a delight and will keep you going all afternoon. So soft and fresh. Such strong flavours. Shame they don't have a lounge like the one in Paris. #bestinlondon

I've found it a bit hit and miss in terms of the variety of cakes which, albeit very good quality, can vary from day to day so they might not always have the one I want.

This is a smaller Ladurée opposite the Royal Exchange, very convenient when you are in this part of the city. Ladurée's macarons are not as good as Pierre Hermé's, but they are still delicious. I have tried two of the new season flavours: pomme verte and guimauve. They were very good, but my favourites remain Fleur d'Oranger, Pétale de Rose, and Pistachio. I also love their pretty gift packaging in pistachio green boxes and bags.

yes its a tourist trap, but the macaroons are wonderful and its an experience. I just love it and so do the family.

For years I though macaroons (and cupcakes) were highly overrated. Then one afternoon on the way back from work I happen to notice this shop in Cornhill that seems to stand out - lovely colours and the oh-so-delicate look. Walked in, tried a salted caramel macaron - and I'm converted. This is now my favourite treat, and my favourite dessert shop in the city. I've since tried macarons at various other cake shops/ patisseries in London - but nowhere else comes even close. Shame there's no such place that can change my mind about cupcakes :-) Hint: Their Othello tea is lovely too (and I know my tea).

This place is a total dichotomy: On one hand they have some of the best macarons going and on the other hand utterly inappropriate service. You will see below I have rated the food and place as 5 stars but the service and value as 1 star. Sorry guys I know you are trying to recreate a patisserie vibe from France, but the problem is that this is London and certain personality basics are required. Pierre Herme does a much better job with lovely staff who will walk you through the assortment of treats and even organise samples so you can try before you buy. Careful guys careful...
