We had the Classic Grand Diner for lunch, and all dishes were excellent. A really great plant-based fine dining experience.

The chef is excellent in making perfect sauces. My favorite is the pasta with mushrooms sauce and the pear martini. I’m a strong supporter of cruelty free restaurants and products. They do it so well and deliver a msg that quality doesn’t compromise when you insist on value. PS. The kelp carvier is excellent too. I can’t tell it’s vegan!!

We decided to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday and we were not disappointed. We were shown to a private dinning room - albeit this may be the norm in the restaurant - so we’re able to enjoy our conversation unlike in many restaurants these days where the noise is excessive. We had the Christmas tasting menu with two glasses of wine (or non alcoholic equivalent). The menu was inventive and showed off the skills of the chefs - clever cooking, without trying to simulate a meat menu (not a faux burger in sight!). The service was also excellent with the servers demonstrating their knowledge of each dish - just as it should be at this level of cooking. It is without doubt the best vegan meal we have had so far (and we have tried lots of vegan food since our daughter turned vegan several years ago). Undoubtedly fine dining, and listed in the Michelin guide, albeit not yet starred. Nevertheless on our experience the 1 star cannot be far away…..

I’m not one to indulge in degustations, but this was incredible and I highly recommend it. My fiancé wanted to try this lovely place and wow, I was blown away! Lots of admiration and respect for what Gauthier does. It’s amazing that all of this is vegan, thank you for the delicious meal, warm ambiance and lovely service.

Intimate with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, just the swap of repetitive muzac for something else could improve it. The petit menu wasn't available on our visit, but the ten course offered lots of different flavours, which made the occasion more special. My thanks to the entire restaurant team, for handling two food intolerances well.

Delicious, innovative vegan food. It felt like everything was made of, and exalted, vegetables, and yet the sea celeriac and the black pudding main were extremely reminiscent of the meat-based version while having a distinct identity. Overall a lovely evening with a warm and homely atmosphere.

Booked this meal with a lot of expectation for my 40th birthday and was the most unpleasant meal I haver had. This evening was a big fiasco: I book a table for 19:30pm, arriving at 19:27 at the door, very disappointed as there were literally a cue to enter. I tried to see what was happening and there was only one staff member collecting all those peoples jackets and take them to the tables. After 10m we were seated and the waiter came and said sorry for the waiting but they were rotating seating times - this is a poor excuse. If they know this can happened they job is literally manage that situation: ie. accept less bookings at the same time; have a gap between rotation. We started the meal with an amuse bouche but we still did not had water or wine - I want to mention that we had chosen the wine pairing, so straight away we did miss one wine. After that the waiter came and asked what we wanted to drink, I remind them about the wine pairing and that I would like some water as well. They served us with the water first and them bring the 1st wine - Ive learn the one to be served for the 1st 3 dishes - Pairing wine isn't an exact science but that should be a wine per dish. The food start to arrive and one after the other was blend, flavourless, no textures and many ingredients been used repeatedly over and over.We had 3 times apple/pear pure. Quinoa used in 2 dishes, the same type of herbs all over again. No protein at all - The tofu dish had literally 2 small pieces the size of a finger tip. I burned myself in the bread that they called brioche - the only hot food we had all night. No exploration of sources of protein, seitan, beans, etc. The huge gap between dishes-we literally had finished each one in less than 1 minutes and waited more than 5 for the next one. The tasting menu had 10 dishes with 4 dishes resembling the sea and only one "meat" flavours. This meant as well that we had to drink white wine all night except for one dish. As the dessert came I was wishing for a more elaborate congratulation, a plate with a Happy birthday wright with chocolate, not even mention my name, no candle; was the end of a very disapointing evening. To finish must say that toilets are a disgrace - No individual leaf toilet paper makes you look around for the roll - there was roll paper all over like a pub in the case it runs out for you to reach out and use it. In the washing area paper all over the floors, no cloth towels. Restaurant music was terrible, toilets music amazing - How is it you have 2 different types of music in the same space? Me and my wife are both chefs and vegans for 5 years now and we cook better and more flavour meals at home. Very bad experience.

I had Le Petit Dîner during the winter time, the service was flawless and out of the 6 courses, the only one I did not enjoy was the main course, which was very heavy. Unfortunately the "Fois Gras" as not good at all, so we ended up not eating the main course at all. The staff was incredible.

Amazing food, lovely service. Loved that you have to ring the bell to come in, feels like you're being welcomed into someone's home (a rich someone no less). Lovely eclectic art. Clean and nicely decorated bathrooms. Food was just excellent. Loved it all and you'll definitely leave full and satisfied which isn't always the case with fine dining. The autumn menu was warming, rich in flavour, and very diverse in texture. Great combinations and definitely some new experiences! Would recommend

Our first time back at Gaultier for a vegan meal ( we are not vegan) and it was delicious. The innovative dishes and deep umami flavours were truly impressive. Compliments to the chefs and we will be back ! Highly recommended 👏👏👏

Amazing food and service - I’m not vegan but went with my son ,who is, for his birthday. The place is beautiful and would be a lovely place for a romantic meal. The food is outstanding - I think chefs must have to work extra hard to make vegan food this good. They can’t rely on ingredients like seafood etc. They only do a tasting menu and there were several highlights for us. The sea celeriac is fantastic ( and I thought I didn’t like celeriac!) the wild mushrooms in a pepper sauce were my sons favourite but really it was all delicious. They do a vegan croissant type bread in one of the courses that was the best croissant I’ve ever had. The one taste I didn’t like was the horseradish ice in one of the courses but my son liked it. The star of the show was the final dessert of pear puree chocolate sponge etc in a sphere that you crack open - wow. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. It’s not cheap - Michelin star places never are- but you are genuinely paying for amazing tastes from hugely talented chefs. Thank you for a memorable and wonderful meal

We came in for the Christmas lunch during our trip and it was the greatest meal we’ve ever had. Every dish was perfect. I’m glad to have tried the tasting menu, it was wonderful from start to finish. I’m so glad there is a vegan restaurant that offers this kind of experience. We will always remember it.

Everything was wonderful. I was expecting something good, but this exceeded my expectations. Creative. Innovative. Fun. Delicious. Intelligent. I appreciate that the dishes were not just vegan versions of traditional food. The “grand dîner” was a perfect way to spend a night out in London.

I’m going to award 5 stars because I think it must have taken a lot of courage for Gauthier to go vegan and give up what was likely quite a comfortable income stream from his earlier non-veg cuisine which had a large loyal following. However, as a life long vegetarian, I was a bit disappointed with the tasting menu in the sense that it was still attempting to dress vegetables up as meat. There was faux scallops, faux black pudding, faux gras, faux this faux that etc, which I personally found irritating. I’m vegetarian because (among other reasons) I love the taste of vegetables. And the thing with vegetables is that there are infinitely many of them and they come in all possible textures, tastes and flavours you could dream of. At the hands of a taltented chef (which Gauthier clearly is) they could be elevated to great heights. There is a whole world of possibilities. Travel to Asia or Africa or Souh America and you come across vegetables you havent heard of, untouched by the western palate. There is a huge opportunity here for a chef to explore this area, and really celebrate this inexplored variety- the chance to be a culinary Columbus. So its somewhat disappointing that all we get is how they can be made to look and taste like meat. Why not celebrate veggies for what they are? Ok now that the constructive criticism is out of the way, the meal was perfectly decent. Everything tasted good, the service was attentive, the waiter was excellent with his wine recommendations. The wait staff at the door could have been a little warmer and friendlier, but on the whole it was a good experience. I would certainly recommend a visit or two.

Really outstanding. My partner said it's his best ever meal. On the autumn menu the dessert bombe is possibly the best dessert I've ever eaten. Looking forward to the next season's menu!

Amazing food - I’m not vegan but was there with my son who is. The extremely talented chefs work really hard to make a plant based menu this good - it’s innovative exciting and above all delicious . The staff were knowledgeable and charming and we felt very welcome.

The courses were varied and creatively conceived. In total, there mat have been too many, so perhaps 1 fewer might leave guests sated but not feeling overly full.

Everything was as expected and more! Each dish was a delight. I will be back

This is our second visit to this restaurant, both on our anniversary. We are going to make it an annual tradition! It is the most beautiful restaurant that has a homely and personal feel. The food was just exquisite and the wine accompaniments were perfect. Every part of the experience at gauthier was excellent, from the moment you are greeted when you arrive to the moment you leave. The waiting staff go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and every person working there was super friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for another 5 star experience Gauthier! Xx

Great food, had the non alcoholic pairing which I wasn't keen on so will opt for alcohol next time. As usual it's very difficult to hear the serving staff when explaining each dish - we personally don't think it's necessary to explain every time prior to eating, they don't do this anywhere else and I just want to eat lol ! Aside from that will always be going back, staff are friendly and professional.

Few places have perfected the vegan fine dining experience, and tonight’s meal at Gauthier felt like it hit the mark better than most. Truffle pasta was the highlight, and the pear chocolate dessert was a close second!

The food and service are impeccable here, the vegan caviar and ‘faux gras’ are truly lovely. The only downside is not to the restaurants detriment, just being in the area means you will have city people talking loudly about money, business and misery so favourably, which spoils any mood.

We had a fantastic experience: not only was the food incredible (the squash was out of this world), but the staff's descriptions introduced the dishes beautifully. The atmosphere was extremely pleasant and so were the non alcoholic pairings. Highly recommended.

It’s amazing to find a restaurant doing a vegan tasting menu so I was very excited to go for my birthday in a group of 8 Some of the courses were delicious others not so. Overall for a 10 course tasting menu the courses were too big. So most people couldn’t eat the last course at all. Very little ambience in the restaurant but made awful by the staff moving tables and stacking chairs high right next to us ready for cleaning, I assume, but that happened before we were even given our last course. I wouldn’t go back unfortunately.

Very extravagant Grand Diner with delicious morsels of food. The 3 waiters were a bit chaotic, I'd rather have just one. All 3 spoke in whispers so despite asking them to all speak up several times. The room is like sitting in someone's living room, which was a bit odd. The acoustics in the room are so bad my wife and I felt like we were shouting at each other. Watch out for the service charge, at 15% on a meal for 2 ours was £50!

Food was AMAZING! But service not so much. I got a cocktail that had no taste. When I requested to exchange it. The waiter was arguing with me. Always incredible food. No one does vegan food as impressive - beautifully presented, unusual but balanced flavours, wonderful staff. Update. The restaurant let me know that my mums walking stick has now been found and offered to send it to her express.
