Palm Court Brasserie is a true gem! The French onion soup is absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and topped with perfectly melted Gruyère. The Beef Bourguignon is outstanding, with tender beef, a deep, hearty sauce, and creamy mashed potatoes. From the moment you step in, the welcome at the door is warm and inviting. The staff is incredibly attentive, ensuring fast service while being knowledgeable about allergies and dietary needs. Highly recommended for an authentic French dining experience in London!

Very convenient for a pre-theatre meal and it has a cheap lunchtime and pre-theatre menu for this purpose. The staff are charming. The greasy soup arrived without accompanying bread and the bœuf bourguignon was an abortion, the watery potato purée had black sour bits in it, the wine was indifferent - definitely not French cuisine, more a bad school lunch, 1960’s style. And we were handed a bill double the correct price with our items plus those of the adjacent table added to it. An old, old trick, and so boring. But the staff were absolutely delightful, the place is convenient, the ambience lovely, and the prices modest. However, I won’t go back again unless it improves the food.

Attending with 3 children, my wife and in-laws on a busy Saturday. We were treated like royalty the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant. The service was next to none and the food was AMAZING! The kids loved their food and my mother in law (who is very hard to please with food) absolutely loved her meal. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The general manager and his staff were great thank you so much looking after us

In convent garden a delicious restaurant, we ordered the steak, a good bottle of wine. Good service, good atmosphere.

The food was ok, i guess it may not have been for my specific taste as it could have done with more flavour. In regards to service, we were welcomed in a warming manor and Denby G was very attentive, professional and friendly. I do not usually tip but her service today felt genuine and lovely and so a tip just for her was well deserved :-)

Fabulous dining experience with exceptional service provided by Victoria. Highly recommend the Duck Breast, Steak Frites and our starters, French Onion soup, baked brie. Ended it all with a delightful chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream.

It's one of those restaurants where the waiters and waitresses purposely move out of the way for you. Thoughtful, attentive and perfect service. The food was brilliant, the wine was delicious and the decor was stunning. I even got a dessert AND signed card front everyone because it was my birthday. Amazing and highly recommended

The mutton is delicious, the atmosphere and service are very good, even though I didn't make a reservation, I got a seat and was satisfied.

The tuna tartare was literally the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life, the tuna melted in my mouth! Was such a cute vibe - every table had their own candle :) and very attentive service

Food was good, chicken was dry but seasoning helped, thankfully. Rosé was very nice. Service was unpleasant; the waiter didn't put my friend's drink on my tab, like I had asked, but billed me for everything, grabbed the bill and went to change it, without apologizing. Then the second my friend finished paying, he snatched the machine out of her hand. Then even before I had time to tap my card, he grabbed it out of my hand and tapped it. Wow. My first time in London and not impressed with a restaurant who got good reviews. (Just to say, we were always polite with him so he had no reason to behave like this)

Walks in from the theatre, at 540,thought the theatre deal for 2 courses for £20 looked decent... It was, only small disappointment was I was expecting a £70 ish bill as we had a bottle of wine and the bill came in at £88....,in very faint print there is a surcharge for the beef bourginon and 12.5 % on drinks and food... So I feel about a tenner off the pace... But a nice meal, decent food but a little sharp on the sums

Amazing service - even though the restaurant was crowded, service was impeccable and extremely prompt! The staff were all so friendly and it was really thoughtful of the team to prepare a small birthday surprise for my friend too. We enjoyed our steak frites, the desserts & the overall atmosphere very much. :)

The food is okay and served at a blistering pace, doubtless to shift people through and bring in the next paying customers as quickly as possible. It must be more of a canteen process in the kitchen, rather than meals being cooked freshly to order, and the menu supports that model. Good for ladling from a large pan or slicing from a baking tray. To me, the fish did not look freshly cooked and plated. I must say, I think it's very discourteous of restaurants these days to give every customer a time by which they must vacate their table. It's of no odds how busy the restaurant is, no diner should be made to feel so unvalued, as though a timer is set from the moment they're seated. Rather cheap and horribly rude. The seating is all crammed in to maximise covers, I felt as though I was eating on an aeroplane with my elbows squashed to my sides as I tried to eat. To fit the theme, my creme brulee was rushed, the egg scrambled, and at that point I felt very thankful I didn't have bigger things to worry about. I would have forgiven any of this apart from telling every table when they had to bugger off. That, above anything else, is unforgiveable.

We had an impromptu lunch in this lovely French restaurant in Covent Garden. The food, wine and service were top notch. I hope to eat here again next time I'm in London.

Very friendly, courteous and attentive service. The right recommendations and they don't just offer the most expensive dishes. However, the onion soup was a disappointment, as it seemed diluted with water. On the other hand, the following dishes stand out and are very delicious: Sourdough bread with black olives. The chateaubriand steak in very good finish and with a very good garnish of French fries. Like Crème Brûlée, with an excellent flavor and very good consistency. The caramelized top is just right, without having burnt flavor notes.

We visited this restaurant on New Year's Eve with a set menu where we could choose a starter, main course, and dessert. The atmosphere was very festive and pleasant, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous. A special thanks to the staff, who were very attentive and kind. The dishes were served quickly, and we truly appreciated their efforts. It was also a lovely surprise to receive champagne from the restaurant before the New Year's countdown so we could share that moment with them. Thank you!

Objectively, a very nice restaurant with good and friendly service. The cuisine is tasty but without any accent. The spritz tasted more like sweetened water than a drink. Nice place but I expected a little more.

Absolutely lovely. I’ve been coming here for beef bourginoin for a decade and it never dissapoints. The Brie in filo was lovely to start, if a little on the small side. And the service was great - our waiter Davide was lovely and welcoming. Really recommend!

Absolutely Delicious with amazing wine snd excellent service.

We went without a reservation and they treated us very well. At Christmas they are mega full but they made room for us. The food was very delicious although the presentation is more normal. We had limited time at the table but enough to eat quietly.

Very busy (full) but could easily hear ourselves chatting as acoustics very good. Food was delicious, service friendly and efficient, good value and a lively, buzzing atmosphere. We had made a reservation and arrived a little earlier. We were first greeted by an employee who said she wasn't allowed to do anything with customers who just came in in a rather unfriendly tone. We were helped soon afterwards. We were able to come earlier, but he would need the table again after an hour. We received our food quickly and it was of good quality.

Been coming here for years, it’s a popular brasserie in the heart of soho that is consistently good. Well priced and a very nice atmosphere too.

Very good steaks but half chicken was quite dry. Service was ok but quite annoyed that we were told to depart as quickly as we could at the end of our meal after spending £450. Also 7 of us got squashed on a table for 6 , there was too many tables and and so noisy we couldn't hear each ither. Overall average meal.

This place is a scam. Poor quality food and unprofessional service

The food was wonderful and a great selection too, and the staff couldn't have been more thoughtful and attentive, really made a birthday meal special - thank you! Hope to come again when we next get to visit London.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, staff were warm and welcome and we chose to sit outside the restaurant as the atmosphere was just lovely. Food was absolutely delicious as we only had the main course 😋 was enough. Would highly recommend 👌

Lovely venue. Staff are amazing and excellent level of attentiveness. Food is very good. Look forward to returning. The Baked Brie start was to die for. I could have eaten that for starters, main and dessert.

I visited Palm Court on a Saturday evening, having been invited by friends. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing for several reasons. First, the noise level was overwhelming—if you're looking for a place to enjoy a conversation without shouting, this isn’t it. The food quality was mediocre, if not below average. I ordered the caramelised onion tart, which clearly had been reheated in a microwave—it arrived far too quickly and the pastry had that characteristic soft, soggy consistency. A friend ordered the salmon rillette, which, surprisingly for a "French" brasserie, wasn’t served with bread. They had to order sourdough bread separately for nearly £5. My main course, a fish dish, was lukewarm and tasted very average. Dessert was equally underwhelming—a tart with frangipane where the base was too thick, and the almond flavour in the frangipane was barely detectable. Other issues added to the discomfort: the table was too small to comfortably accommodate the tableware and dishes, and some aspects of the service fell short. While our own waiter was friendly and responsive, another waiter knocked my jacket off the chair, stepped on it and didn’t even notice. On the positive side, our waiter did their best, but overall, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. I’m glad I didn’t have to pay for it. Wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for authentic French brasserie vibes or good food.

The French onion soup starter was among the best I have had. The steak frites at £15 Tuesday special was tasty and value for money but to be honest, I would have been disappointed had I paid the full price of £28.

The theatre set menu is full of tasty, well portioned dishes. The candlelit lighting and decorations are a nice touch. My reason for knocking off a star is the lack of space between tables.

I had a wonderful experience at Palm Court, the food was delicious and really fresh. Not to mention, the service received from all staff members was top quality & everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

Good food, reasonably priced if you can get an offer, quite crowded however. I would recommend better spacing for the chairs...I unfortunately had a larger chap sitting behind me who kept pushing his chair into me also didn't leave much circulation space for the poor waiters. Otherwise a good 4.5/5* Would go again!

It is good location at the Covent Garden... Was told to have our dinner in 60mins... Mean we can only stay in restaurant for one hour.. It is a bit rush and the staffs seem too pushy to get the order and clear the table... Not very enjoyable experience overall.

Superb food and service on a Friday evening.

Great food great service. Walk-in customers are allowed only 1 hour slot. I would go there with a reservation which has a 2 hours slot. Food are delicious but those mussels are the smallest ones I have even seen. Onion soup is also great with many cheese filled.

I chose this French restaurant for its attractive menu, which, although not large, has got various dishes for all tastes. I opted for Chateaubriand with baked new potatoes and green salad. The sauce on the salad was delicious, and the portion of beef was enough for two people and perfectly cooked. Reservation required.

As per usual excellent dinner tonight. Very nice Maitre'd and waitress. Found us a nice table despite impromptu decisiin to eat out with no reservation. Coq au Vin and special Venison Stroganoff were excellent. C'est tres bon.

Never had a bad meal here - that was the quote from a colleague who was in our group for lunch last week. And yes our respective meals were spot on, professional and efficient service, great atmosphere - and given it was September we decided to book for our December / Christmas gathering - so we will be back.

Super welcoming, manager Davi is a great sweetheart. Speaks Portuguese, serves everyone with great passion and makes a difference Excellent food, good wines and great dessert. Great value for money.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and great food.

Traditional french cuisine, food was good tried their veal, steak fillet and chicken paillard (a little dry). Unfortunately our dinner experience was ruined at the end, my mum’s bag was stolen which was hanging from her chair. Also a mouse ran under our table we were sitting in the alfresco dining area.

Quite a cavernous, busy place which would feel claustrophobic if full. Service fine. Food a mixed bag - snails starter was horrible for £11...dry and tasteless. Duck breast and beef mains more successful. Overall: not bad but not great either.

The welcome given to us by the head of the room was very warm. The menu offers French specialties but not only that. So, I was able to try a fish and chips which was plentiful and very good! The fries are served very hot. The cheesecake for dessert is good. Be careful, the room is extremely noisy, with a deafening echo!

Post Theatre dinner at the Palm Court. Great place to go before or after the theatre. Suggest you book as it is very popular. I can thoroughly recommend the Beef Borginoin. Prices are very reasonable for the area.

Went here with a friend. The seafood linguine was fabulous, with a little kick. Pear frangipani was delicious. Waiting staff were attentive. Would recommend.

We came here last minute for my friends 18th birthday. As we came on a sunday, sunday roast was also on the menu and was amazing! the staff were all so kind and considerate! when i told the waiter that it was my friends 18th, he came out with a creme brûlée and card from the whole team! It was such a lovely experience and will definitely be coming back.

A magical lunch. Our waiter, Riaz, was wonderful: so friendly and made such helpful suggestions on wine and food. A real asset to the establishment! Food exceptionally good. A truly memorable lunch. Highly recommended to all visiting Covent Garden.

It was a lovely place to eat. Large variety of food. My husband loves fish which made me choose the restaurant as i felt there was a good variety of fishy dishes. The steak was cooked to perfection. Service waa great. Will be returning when next in the area. Very close to the theatre too- where we watches the lion king performance.

Was very surprised with how good the vegan option was! Decided to order Chickpea Ratatouille and it was delicious. Mash as a side was also very nice. Generally enjoyed the food and being there. One thing that I noticed that could be improved was communication between the waiters as at some point we had double checks if everything was fine and if we want anything else. It's of course okay to ask but we thought it was quite a lot!

Lovely staff the young Italian girl served us, this was on a Saturday a couple of weeks back, food is delicious, lovely vibe and attentive service, absolutely flawless 🙌🙌

From a food point of view, everything was pretty good. The boeuf bourguignon had mushrooms and potatoes, but any carrots and onions had been reduced to sauce. The honey and goat cheese salad was disappointing. The French bread (an extra 5 GBP) was low quality (weird, with Chez Paul almost across the street!). The Pear Franjipane desert tart was also pretty good but not great. The service was super fast, but not friendly. All in all, an okay meal was had.

Cosy, reasonably priced for being in the middle of Covent Garden. The vibe is a very particular type of classic brasserie. I wouldn't want to be here every day, but it's always somewhere I'm delighted to take friends and dates.

We were a party of 11 with kids and without booking and they had no problem getting us in. They quickly made up a place for us. Waiters and staff all friendly and attentive. The food was better than expected. The kids menu has 4 choices which could do with expanding a bit but they were all happy with their food. A good range of drinks. The restaurant is decorated nicely. They have air conditioning

The perfect hidden gem. Had the steak frites and Kimberly was the sweetest most helpful waitress ever!!! She made us feel so special and was just awesome.

Nice place to go for dinner around Covent Garden. French-insipired, lovely cuisine and friendly staff. The interior is slightly dark, but that's part of the mood I guess.
