Great food and great service. The knowledge of the staff regarding the menu and the drinks is noteworthy. The variety of food, it's quality and the great service made our son's birthday celebration a wonderful experience. Thank you! The best meeting we've ever tasted too!!

Food quality is ok but the service is terrible. 40 minutes to tell you they don’t want to bring you more bread. They forgot to give us some food

We had a lovely evening as a 4 here, the waitresses are super friendly and helpful. They even let us go off menu! The food is really tasty, although I would say the inside food is a bit better than the barbecued food outside. Great wine choices too!

We have been there on the 6th of may 2023. Not really cheap, but good wines. At the end after a nice stay a very unpolite and rude lady behind the bar. Booked an outdoor table for 4 ( on a Tue evening). Specified in the booking I am pregnant. They had only a high table with high chairs available which I obviously declined as I cannot climb on a chair at 40 weeks pregnant. They rudely said there was no other option available although there were plenty of other tables, simply in need of some minor rearrangement. The restaurant was not busy. They said the only option was indoors, I explained I am tryIng to avoid risk of covid given the late stage in pregnancy and they totally didn’t care. I chose an indoors table next to the only large open window and they looked very irritated that we were not the allocated table in a corner away from the windows. They made zero effort to make us feel welcome and they appeared irritated that I was pregnant and asking for some (very minor) adjustments. Food was overall good but it took ages for orders to be taken, food to be served, bill to be provided. All waiters look moody and unhappy. An issue with the management, perhaps, we wondered? The venue has potential but for the ridiculously high prices there is an expectation of competent and friendly service (£210 for 4 people, I was not drinking, we shared 3 tiny starters, had a main each and shared 2 desserts). Not one smile, thank you,sorry or welcome from any of the staff. We all left feeling like we had been a bother to them. 3 stars for the food, but zero o less for the service.

OK, but just OK. Five of us went for dinner. The food generally was fine, if slightly on the expensive side for what it was, but would be better if it wasn’t lukewarm at best, or in one case, cold. But what disappointed was the wine list, or rather trying to navigate it. We couldn’t understand why it was uniformly so expensive, with hardly a bottle under £50, and most considerably more. I know a great deal about wine, but still asked the sommelier (if he was one) for a recommendation for a straightforward full bodied Chardonnay, only to be told that “we don’t do those sort of wines”, and to be pointed to a bottle costing well over £80. We didn’t take his advice. Frankly, given what he said I probably know at least as much about wine as him. The Chardonnay I did choose (one of the cheapest) was full bodied as I suspected it would be, and was very good. And so it should be at £61 a bottle. And then at the end of the meal we asked for 3 coffees (no choice was available - only filter coffee), and when they arrived the waitress announced “sorry there’s no milk - is that OK.” Answer - no, it’s not. No milk in an East London restaurant on a Friday night? Perhaps that best sums up a restaurant that clearly thinks it’s too cool for school.

The food and drink was excellent! Absolutely delicious and really interesting recipes and ideas. A lot of thought clearly goes into the menus and setting. The staff were wonderful. They didn't hover but they were right there if you needed them. Super friendly, helpful and welcoming. One of us is vulnerable to covid and they took great care to place us where we felt safe and we were extremely grateful for that. We would definitely go back.

We ate dinner here on a Sunday night, around 8p, after having cocktails in the area. We made a booking, but there were plenty of walk-in tables both inside and outside. We had a great meal! The menu featured either a set option of 2-3 courses or a la carte and was very affordable, especially for the quality. We shared some yummy olives, a really good pasta, and a simple salad. Lots of tempting options on the menu Sager + Wilde is known for their wines, and the list featured a nice selection from around the world, with a few surprises. Very cool vibe, too. The restaurant is built into the railway arch, giving the interior a unique character and rustic charm. Service was excellent. Would happily return!

Mysigt ställe precis i närheten av vårt hotell. Liten meny men väldigt god mat och gott vin till det. Servitörerna var verkligen så goa. Det som var ett litet minus var för hög musik.

Amazing menu. Delicious small plates with a great combination of flavours. The fennel salad and burrata were amazing. I also really enjoyed the pasta with beef cheek ragu. The staff really looked after us. Great to be able to dine outside.

I booked a table here for my sister’s 21st birthday. We arrived at 8pm and were seated. However, it was so noisy that we couldn’t hear each other speak and could barely concentrate long enough to read the menu. Had to leave with pounding headaches to find somewhere quieter and more pleasant - would definitely recommend the Japanese place a few doors down!!!

Stunning wine list, and a surprising cosy restaurant given the utilitarian setting. The set menu before 6.30pm is pretty impossible to beat for quality and value. Go for porchetta, probably the best pork I’ve ever eaten. Will most definitely be coming back.

Waiters were lovely and food was delicious, but the main portions were laughably small, we had to keep on ordering more food! I spend over 100 quid and left the restaurant hungry and exhausted… The background music was too upbeat and loud… we asked one of the waiters to turn it down just a little bit, but he said they couldn’t turn it down because it won’t be heard in some corners of the restaurant! The speakers were all around, so it was really stressful to have a conversation. Overall I am glad I tried this restaurant, but feel that the stressful ambiance and the price for what I got is a bit disproportionate...

My husband and I spent a lovely evening here for our wedding anniversary.We had a 3 course meal at a very reasonable price. A service charge is included in the bill. We had Foccaccia and olive bread with olive oil to dip.Taggliatelli in a garlic...

Had a lovely romantic atmosphere, and staff were nice. Had focaccia which was delicious then the sage burnt butter Parmesan tagliatelle (also delicious). Couple of issues: all food came out ultra quick; pasta bowl was a little small.

This wine bar is really a shame for central London. Staff no idea about their wine. Even the short and simple by glass list (10 wines for white, rose, red combined), the staff have no idea what style the wine is like, which region it is from (I asked where about in California for one wine, it took good 10 min for someone to tell me Sonoma), grape, ageing condition. It is a place for hackney people but no other londoners.

Wine list and ambiance great!!! Burrata was out of this world, with a good pinch of salt and black pepper. SHAME about the pasta and service though... felt rushed when it wasn’t busy and had booked.

Loved the food and wine and tg good weather meant we ate outdoors. A little park across the restaurant meant the kids could play safely.

The food here is excellent and matches the prices but the service is incredibly slow with no apology. The restaurant is basically understaffed for these prices.

I attended a wedding reception here and was surprised how good the staff is at making you feel welcome. The food selection was great, with a surprising number of good wines to choose from. Not easy to park, however, they are just around the corner from bethnal green tube.

This is not a cheap place to eat at, which is fine but the service really needs to match this. We would have really appreciated having the bottle decanted at the table, especially as my friends had never seen it being done. Secondly, it's always a good idea to ask before the staff tastes the wine (we're paying for the bottle and additionally, you're already asking us to see if the wine is corked). The food was average. We weren't asked how the meat should be cooked (rare, medium or well-cooked). The side of potatoes was below average with no seasoning on it.Suffice it to say, we won't be coming back. Prices are just too high for the below par service and prices.

Went for dinner here last night with the missus. We started off with a couple of cocktails, a spritz and a whisky milkshake concoction. Sounds out there but it was truly delicious. Food was great, service ok. We'll definately be going back.

Nos recibieron con las palabras: "no se puede tener una reserva para 4. 45 pm ya que no comenzamos a servir comida hasta las 5. 00 pm '. Habíamos reservado la mesa a través del sitio web Sager y Wilde y teníamos confirmación. Sin embargo, nos acomodaron y tuvimos un par de entrantes seguidos por la pasta y el vino por 10. Las porciones iniciales eran pequeñas, pero la comida (arancini y espárragos) era deliciosa. La pasta no era tan agradable pero aún así agradable. La casa blanca que lo acompañaba era agradable, PERO se advirtió que todos los precios de las copas de vino citados se refieren a medidas de 125 ml. Así que decidimos en cambio comprar una botella de casa roja. Esto fue decepcionante y el resto de la lista de vinos es caro. El tiramasu y sorbete para los postres también estaban bien. Dropped in on Wednesday evening and got a table straight away, although it was busy. Fabulous arancini and olives to start, then two pasta dishes. The latter looked quite small, but were packed with flavour (LOVED the spicy 'nduja!). Good wine list too. Would definitely return, though might ask for a table closer to wall or window, as it was quite loud in the middle of the room. Service was OK, but it took us quite a long time to attract anyone's attention to let us pay.

Hands down, one of my favorite restaurants in London. Perfect for date night, group of friends, or families. Every item on the menu is always superb and the staff is incredibly friendly. The wine list is exceptional - better than most wine shops and restaurants. This location has a beautiful private room on the top deck that’s perfectly fits a large group. The main area is always vibrant and bustling. Whenever someone asks me about my favorite spot in London, hands down it’s Sager + Wilde.

Tuve venado ragu con tagliatelle, mi esposa tenía cerdo con verduras. Ambos sentíamos que eran la mejor comida que habíamos tenido durante mucho tiempo. Luego delicioso tiramisú y helado para postres.

My new love at the first sight in Bethnal Green. Large place with indoor and outdoor seating, and a bar. Very good food with Mediterranean touch. Huge wine list, many available by the glass. And last but not least, incredible cocktails. Burnt Milk, with caramel, mezcal, clarified milk and spices, is one of the best drinks I've ever had (and - though it's probably nothing to boast about... - I've had many). We tried most of their cocktail menu and absolutely everything was perfectly balanced and seriously delicious. Also, their happy hour offer is a real steal: for £10 you get a bowl of pasta (the one with 'nduja and mascarpone is to die for) and a small but perfect Negroni (or a glass of house wine). This may be the best deal in London. It feels almost wrong to let everyone know about it on TA ;)

Honestly great food, great wine, and AMAZING service in a chill setting. The sommelier really new her stuff and helped us select exactly the wine we wanted. The staff were super friendly and engaged and you felt they had a sense of pride working there. Would love to go back again.

We arrived here for a 9:30 reservation and were told that most of the items on the menu weren't available - sold out. I couldn't find anything that appealed to me. The manager came to us and said the restaurant had a load of lobsters for a pasta special the next evening, and offered to prepare the dish for us if we wanted. We did and it was good - not great, but very good. The gesture itself was extraordinary and we appreciated it very much. Also, that mezcal drink I ordered was delicious. It's a very hip place on a block of restaurant-bars under an old railroad trestle. Worth a visit.

Location, service and wines are excellent!

Where do I start, we were told that we only had a two hour time slot, we were ok with that, we wanted steak more than anything so we ordered, and were told the only steaks they do were to share, problem I like well done my friend wanted medium, the waitress said they couldn't do anything about that so we said cut it in half cook one half medium the other half well done after a long drawn out debate she checked with the chef and agreed. Fine, then we were told that because I wanted well done it would take us over our two hour time slot, another debate. Steaks arrive, very nice, side dishes very good. But the waitress kept clearing our table before we were finished. Asked for the bill, took off the service charge, as the service was pretty poor, and was going to leave a tip in cash instead. Because I took the service charge off the bill the waitress started questioning me about it, I couldn't believe it. So if you go here prepare for the service to be poor, the food good, and the prices maybe a bit expensive for what you get. The meal was good but was let down by the service.

I went here for brunch and was pleased with the choice for veggies, with an interesting range of dishes. It's quite a nice atmosphere - quite open and light. The service was a bit slow at times but overall it was great and one of the best brunch places I have come across in the area.

Wir waren am Abend da mit 4 Personen. Man muss/sollte resevieren. Die Einrichtung ist einfach aber geschmackvoll. Die angebotenen Speise, vor allem die Pasta Gerichte sind wirklich gut. die Weine sind ok und das Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt.

L'endroit semble sympathique à priori mais les petits détails font qu'au final, l'impression globale est désagréable. La musique est trop forte et on s'est installés sur le bord du petit chemin où nous pouvions observer la colonie de rats dans le chantier en face. La serveuse était maussade et la nourriture platte. Le merlu et le 'ragu' de lapin étaient si peu généreux qu'on a pu appliquer le dicton de mon arrière-grand-mère : "toujours partir de table avec une place pour le dessert". / At first look this place appeared pleasant, but small details made the overall experience negative. The music was too loud so we sat near the street, where we could observe the rat colony in the construction site across the row. The waitress was sullen and the food tasteless. The servings of hake and the rabbit ragu were so mean we could apply my (proper-British-lady) great-grandmother's saying that "one must always leave the table with room for more".

Un grupo de familiares y amigos, almorcé aquí para celebrar el cumpleaños de mi hermano 40 th. El lugar es un lugar muy agradable, con un ambiente agradable. La selección de vinos era genial y mi featherblade de carne fue magnífico (como opciones de comida de todos los demás). Sin duda recomiendo y volveremos en el futuro.

Rabbit Ragu was made with fresh pasta, with exquisitely tender rabbit, which seemed to have been “pulled”. Other ingredients of fresh peas and Parmesan cheese just put the dish together well. Service was quick and friendly. Another great East London eatery. Check it out.

Fantásticos cócteles en la zona, en verdad increíble. Sólo tuvimos un arranque pero que era deliciosa y una gran porción. Excelente ubicación aunque justo al lado de la carretera por la que sientes que estás en un pequeño jardín. Algunos más bares al lado demasiado, así que es perfecto para salir por la noche. Mi pareja y yo fuimos allí para nuestra noche de dos semanales fecha. El lugar estaba muy lleno y cuando nos sentamos y preguntamos cómo la camarera era, ella dijo: "Yo soy increíble" y la indicación de que debe ser un buen lugar para trabajar.

Exelente para um dia de sol, boa seleção de vinhos e uma comida muito saborosa, mas o atendimento é péssimo.

Took the place over for a dinner with hospitality professionals and these guys smashed it! Changed the table floor plan for us, pre-dinner drinks were on point and their homemade pine soda went really well with the Chivas Scotch . Loads of great antipasto to start followed by amazing mains. Service was super friendly and speedy and we will be going back as a group and privately.

Top spot in London for wine. Great ambience, superb wine list and amazing food. Go there as often as possible. :-)

Io ed il mio fidanzato alloggiavamo in bethnal green, abbiamo sentito parlare di questo locale ed abbiamo deciso di provarlo. Siamo stati accolti molto gentilmente e subito ci hanno fatto accomodare, lo staff ci ha fatto sentire a casa ed è stato sempre attento ai nostri bisogni e pronto a consigliarci.

We live just across the road from here and that makes us incredibly happy because we have a place that serves food that makes you say "wow" and drinks that make you say "more".

All in all we really enjoyed our visit. We popped in without a reservation but they found us a seat without a problem. Food was INCREDIBLE and the wine we had (pax hermit) was delicious and well priced. The service was a bit hot and cold, our waitress was lovely, only slight criticism is the service template seemed a bit rigid and added to the wait sometimes, we asked the manager to see the wine list after we finished our meal as we fancied a sweet wine, the menus were probably 2m behind us and he stood at the bar waiting for our waitress to be free rather than turning around. Seemed a bit strange but only a minor gripe. Would definitely return next time we are in London.

We just randomly found this place as we exit the underground station. It was under a bridge, had a small pot still in front and we said, this must be interesting. We had no idea that this was not a place you go for food but rather a place you go for wine and has some food. The food was amazing and the quantity was a lot, we could not finish everything. The waiter was very friendly and even if we stayed way after everyone else left no one complained or asked us to leave. What made this place even better was its impressive wine list. Mostly wines from every part of France but there was a fair share of wonderful wines from all around the world, Austria, Italy, U.S.... it wouldn't be a surprise if we had also seen a Cypriot wine in there. Definitely worth a visit !

Mi amigo y yo comimos allí la última noche. Fue un paseo. Me gustaría tratar mi amigo quería como ella tenía un mal momento y me opté por Sager + Wilde como he oído cosas buenas. Para ser justos, el personal era encantador y no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros. Pedimos un par de cócteles sin alcohol, que eran realmente buenos. Las opciones de menú, aunque eran recortado la lista de vinos era bastante considerable. Ninguno de nosotros estábamos hambrientos, así que nos saltamos un entrante, optando por el plato de carne y verduras compartir asados. A 34 libras, y más por el lado, esperaba algo sabroso y un poco especial. En su lugar, nos sirvieron varios cortes de carne tibia unseasoned que eran grasas. Incluso entonces, era imposible para cortar, y cuando logré pinza a través de una porción, era realmente desagradable, y yo a la izquierda más. Los greens de acompañamiento eran, de nuevo, bastante frío y unseasoned. Met een gezelschap van 3 personen uitermate goed gegeten. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen een fijne tafel bij het raam. De menukaart was erg beperkt maar gelukkig voor ons voor ieder wat wils. Ik kan me ook voorstellen dat als je een moeilijke eter bent hier misschien niet zal slagen. Let hier dus op.

My husband and I took advantage of the pasta deal recently. The value is terrific, the pasta is delicious and the staff are nice.

Nice location and food was really good. It is quiet loud in the restaurant but nice atmosphere. Table and benches good quality but no real chairs with leanings. So you would expect more modest prices. But the price for food is much to high even the quality was good. Especially the starters were much to expensive 3 pounds for some bread with olive oil...

The service was weird and bizarre, the deal we had come to get was not available, the portions were small though the food was good. Bloody Marys were fantastic (thank god) and the beer was so bad we left it untouched.<br /><br />Nice location though.

Went for brunch. Food was high quality and delicious, but the coffee menu could be expended beyond an espresso or plunger. Despite all the good write ups online there was only us and one other table between 11-12pm so the cafe buzz was not there at all. Seems more like a lunch, dinner or drinks place.

Lovely ambience, food was beautiful and the server Alexis was so friendly and helpful. Very relaxing place with superb cheese! <br />If you like gnocchi it&#039;s the perfect place! +++++

Me organizaron una fiesta sorpresa de cumpleaños para mi novia aquí, todo fue fantástico de principio a fin. El personal era maravilloso; desde la organización impecable de SJ y Megan, los camareros atentos y amables en la noche. La comida fue fenomenal y todo el mundo en la fiesta (20 de ellos! ) fue unánime en esta vista. Teníamos el menú Compartir grupo - un montón de comida y una gran relación calidad-precio. Tres campos de brillante por 29 libras por cabeza. El ambiente es genial, la lista de vinos impresionante y a un precio razonable. Realmente no me puedo quejar de este lugar. No faults. The food was perfect, the service professional and not intrusive. The atmosphere and general vibe is great and I love the decor, especially the bar. <br />Great for a date or special occasion. The wine list is insane and has some great bottles on their. <br /><br />Still can&#039;t get over the food, it was delicious, so so good. It&#039;s not the cheapest of places but also not going to stretch you too much. <br /><br />Highly recommended

Hemos comido aquí varias veces, y para cócteles por la tarde en otras ocasiones. Sólo una vez tiene el servicio le faltaba atención. . Pero los cócteles son geniales. La comida es estupenda. "Europeo moderno" con énfasis en italiano. Puede trabajar fuera caro, pero el vino es tan bueno que vale la pena. No hacer una oferta temprano y vino la noche de pasta que es fantástico para la gente, pero, realmente deberías probar la auténtica comida y vino. Encantador poder sentarse fuera, y pasar una noche muy relajado sin ser molestado para salir. . . . . . . . . Great food and great service. The decor is wonderful and the location is great. Will definitely visit again.
