Cote Brasserie - Kensington in Kensington and Chelsea

I keep coming back to Cote for a varied menu, quality of food, sensible wine list and value for money. There's something for most tastes and most budgets. You can drop in for a bite or sit down with friends for a proper meal. Everything is well thought out and well executed. I sound like an advertisement at this point but I genuinely think they've earned the praise.

Our third time visiting this place and it’s just incredible every time. I wish I had asked the polish woman’s name who has served us every time, she is excellent. Despite this place being part of a chain, it feels completely like an independent restaurant. Can’t wait for the next time!

We arrived without a booking even though the restaurant was busy the staff were welcoming and helpful managing to fit us in prior to a big party arriving

French food with great value for money!

This is part of a chain, but it feels like an independent restaurant, with knowledgeable, friendly staff, who have tried and are happy to recommend dishes and wines. We had the Tuna Nicoise and Breton Fish Stew, both were excellent. I gave the atmosphere 4-stars because there's nothing exceptional, just people enjoying socializing and eating.

Been meaning to visit this place for a while. Made a last minute decision to visit but didn't have long as we were due to attend a concert in the Royal Albert Hall. Despite being fully booked, they accommodated us, as it was a birthday meal, and seated us outside in the lovely warm evening sunshine. The service and food was absolutely amazing. Its slightly pricey however you get what you pay for and wasn't disappointed. Definitely a place to eat. Thank you to all for accommodating us last minute 🙏

My family and I had an early dinner here and it was one of the best dining experiences we had in London. The food and service from staff were both excellent. We hope to be back to try other dishes on the menu.

I went to the Brasserie in Kensington for my elderly mother and aunt's birthdays. They are usually very light and fussy eaters however, they cleared their plates despite having two courses. This wasn't due to small portions but sheer pleasure. The staff were all really friendly and attentive. We had the pan fried salmon bearnaise with chips, confit of duck a l'orange and pan fried sea bass and for dessert the crème brulle, crepe aux cerise and warm chocolate fondant

Cote is a staple for me every time I’m in London. The menu is very simple and always executed well. Their French toast is amazing, eggs Benedict dishes are delicious, and I recently ate and loved the pork belly sandwich. The dining room is a bit cramped but not too bad, and the staff do a great job.

Great for coeliac (gluten free) and veggies with a dedicated menu for each. Busy so book ahead. Lovely outside tables when the weather is good. Near Uniqlo and the hotel. A 20 minute walk from The Serpentine gallery.

Really enjoyed our visit to Cote Kensington. We arrived for an early meal, so it was fairly quiet but got quite busy later on. It’s in an excellent location, ideal before attending a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Food was fantastic quality, I recommend a visit.

Disappointing food, badly presented. Crammed in a bowl unable to cut. Overcooked pork. chips were pale and dry Charged 6 pounds for still water, when others offered table water .special birthday and felt let down choosing this place after reading reviews.

Since our arrival in London, only 3 days ago, we have been there twice; a warm and caring welcome, quality and delicious dishes, we also appreciated the place. A little nod 😉 to Fifi who we loved. See you soon. We will come back very soon!!

We visited the cafe late on a Saturday morning for a coffee and dessert. The warm almond and pear butter cake was hearty for such a small slice, and the vanilla ice cream created a creamy and cool contrast. Lovely coffee and a cosy place.

Had a birthday breakfast here with champagne. Just your standard breakfast options. Food came out cold. Poached eggs were hard. Expected better. Is it that hard to serve hot food and good runny poached eggs?

A very enjoyable dinner. I had the Breton fish stew - delicious! However, there was no mention of potatoes being a part of this stew but I did find a small amount of potato in mine. In fact, I had asked if there were any vegetables in the stew and they had said no. Other than that a really nice meal. Very helpful, friendly staff.

Everything was fantastic! From start to finish the staff were attentive. We had a party size of 18 for our mums birthday lunch! The staff seated us conveniently at the back of the restaurant, giving us the ambience of the restaurant but also the privacy to dine and celebrate! 1 baby, 3 toddlers and 3 under 10's were a handful but the staff were organised and managed our requirements and timings well. Thanks so much everyone for making it look easy! The only one little niggle I had was the 3 older kids ordered ham and cheese toasties but I think the cheese was a little too strong for them and they didn't eat properly. Except for that we will be back and can't wait to try different things on your menu! A lovely venue and fantastic afternoon relaxing and indulging! Thanks so much Team Cote in Kensington! A very nice dinner with an offer of a glas prosecco (birthday) a fantastic beef fillet with a fantastic service that was always there and responsive. Can only recommend to go there and have a great time.

Great place with amazing food and nice staff! We had baked camembert, french onion soup and calamari for starters, beef bourguignon and tuna nicoise for mains, a cheeseboard and a bottle of wine. Everything was amazing!!! The place is nice and cosy and the staff were nice and helpful with the allergens!

Fabulous. Good food, great service. This particulate location is kind of cosy. It's kind of hidden on a cute small pedistrian street of of High Street Kensington.

Slightly disappointing in terms of their food come on the taste of the main course and the starters ( crab ) were below average, not a good taste.

Jay our waiter was wonderful. He made wine suggestions based on meal orders and offered non alcoholic drinks for the 2 of us doing a dry January.

Nous n’avons évidemment pas gouté tous les plats mais ceux que nous avons pris étaient pas extraordinaires, notamment le burger archi cuit et le steak frites ou le steak est proche de l’abjecte tellement il est trop cuit, trop fin et sans goût particulier. En revanche l’ambiance est agréable, le personnel aimable c’est juste la cuisine qui est décevante.

Tout simplement parfait du service à la cuisine en passant par l'ambiance. Je recommande vivement.

Ordered lamb and very disappointed by the 3 small pieces that were 50pc fat. I then had to order something quick as a replacement. Service was good in that my meal was exchanged and not charged, but ultimately my experience was ruined by waiting for a meal, sending it back and having to choose a quick substitute that I would not have ordered

My server Jay was delightful, knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. I was also personally updated about when my main would be ready. I’ll definitely be back.

As always with Cote - it doesn’t matter which one we visit (Reading, Bath, Norwich, Kensington), the food is always exemplary, the team are always friendly but very professional, and we always have a fabulous time. We were entertaining friends from the US and you made the evening so special but also easy for us to have a great time and catch up. We were the last to leave but at no time did we feel rushed. Lovely restaurant down a quiet side street off bustling High St Kensington. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the menu has plenty of tasty food to choose from, served in decent portions at reasonable prices.

Have always liked cote, and the option here to have several tasty starters appeals to me and my friends dining habits. Also I note that you can get a bottle of wine for £23.00 no bad thing for a nearly central London restaurant. And a very pleasant lunchtime dining experience!

Great service, fine looking restaurant Food however, was mediocre. Burger patty is burnt at the bottom, tasted bitter; creamed spinach had little spinach flavour... Price was fair enough. The place was so noisy at 6pm we had problems hearing each other across the table. I wish we could leave sooner.

We was a walk in just to get a quick breakfast at about 11.30am the place was empty, we was told very rudely apparently "Can't have just any walkin's, all covers are full"

We were the large table of 20 friends on a Saturday night in December literally the worst table to try and serve and all the staff were absolutely phenomenal. They were attentive took care to clarify allergens, made sure everyone had drinks when they needed them. There were no delays in food and it was all delicious. Staff even kindly took a group photo for us. Would highly recommend booking here for group meals it was very easy to communicate with them during the booking process and the service led to a really special night for us.

We had a large group of 22 visiting and are quite boisterous. Team we very patient and helped with all our queries and demands without question. Would come again. Delightful night.

My friend and I had the fixed price/ pre theatre menu here on a Monday night. Restaurant was very busy- we arrived at 6.30 and were seated promptly. We we given the Christmas Menu and the a la carte but had to ask for the Fixed Price menu card. We both went for 3 courses for £20.95 which is good value. My pear salad starter was ok- hardly any pear but quite tasty and my steak frites main was very good- a large thin steak which was nicely cooked. Plum clafoutis for dessert with ice cream was also nice. I had a large glass of rose too which was very palatable. An enjoyable meal overall- good value especially for London.

I went for a set meal Christmas menu lunch on Friday 8th December. There were twenty of us and the restaurant was packed with other customers. The food and service was amazing never known such attentiveness and care. Our drinks were topped up our food was organized correct and on time and hot where it needed to be. I have worked in Kensington for thirty years and I can honestly this is the best Christmas lunch I've ever had and it was very reasonable in price for the area. I spoke with my colleagues and we have all agreed we must go here again.

Even though the restaurant was very crowded on a Saturday night, the staff was so amazingly attentive, efficient and courteous. The food was excellent (onion soup, ribeye and fillet) and was served in a timely manner with staff asking throughout the meal if we needed anything. We will definitely be returning.

Food poisoning from children’s menu!!! Don’t come here. It is a pleasant space and reasonably priced, with an attractive sounding menu - especially for children. But don’t be fooled. We went most recently on Sunday evening in a party of five and two of us got sick from eating the seasonal special sausage on the children’s menu. Both vomiting in the night (the only two who had shared the same sausage). The previous time we had come, the child’s fish goujons were raw inside (young child didn’t realise but didn’t finish his food despite being ravenous, as he said the fish tasted funny, and upon questioning, said it was cold inside… I looked and saw the fish was still translucent and not opaque - anyone who cooks knows it needs to be opaque or else it is raw.) Cote denied, but took the item off the bill, and luckily, illness was averted, which is why we decided to forgive yesterday as we needed somewhere to eat in a hurry. Do not come here. Food poisoning - especially from the children’s menu - is unforgivable.

A lot of very French specialities and a menu that changes regularly

Found whilst looking for a pre Albert Hall event. Nice setting and helpful staff. It's a chain so you will not get startling cuisine, but what came was hot, tasty and well presented. Wine list was adequate and for a restaurant not eye watering in terms of cost. Next time I will go without the time pressure of having to leave so early.

I take my Mum to Cote Kensington every time I visit London (about 4 times a year) as I live abroad Ola, our waitress, greets us with a massive smile & always says how nice it is to see us again. She even remembers our drinks even down to the size & brand. It's these little things that are so important to our experience that makes us come back every time. She has an excellent manner. Our food never fails & I try something new every visit ~ Today I had fillet steak & truffle chips... What's not to like

This was the first night of our weekend in London- & was the best meal, best value & best atmosphere. Excellent food - 4 of us ate, belly pork & chicken dishes. Lovely cocktail to start. Nicely paced, lovely ambience & great staff. The bill was surprisingly less than we thought (we checked it, & everything was on) . Reasonably priced wine. We will definitely recommend & return!

Up to Cote's usual high standards. Only issue was trying to catch a waiter's eye for the bill. (The restaurant wasn't crowded.)

A wonderful Birthday meal here, delicious Côte De Boeuf, wonderful sides and a stunning bottle of Bordeaux. The service was spot on and the staff were wonderful, friendly and very welcoming. We went for breakfast the following morning which was very good indeed. I really couldn’t fault anything and we’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in the area.
