We came here just before Christmas having been torn between the 2 highly rated seafood restaurants in Knightsbridge - always looking for value for money, I plumped for one-on-one based on the web booking special offer. What a mistake that was. Having failed to contact anyone at the restaurant despite assurances that I would be called back, we turned up and were really disappointed with a distinctly non seafood based set menu! I should have walked then as they were obviously understaffed and it was not the lunching experience that I had wanted.

Flawless experience: food was beautifully presented and of extraordinary quality; this must be one of the best fish restaurants we have tried for a very long time; the chef is a master of his craft and made some creative choices regarding the ingredients, all of which managed to astound; service was of the highest standard as well, I sometimes go to Michelin starred restaurants, where the service is not nearly as good as this - for once the UK service charge was totally deserved; honorable mention for the varied wine menu as well; interior is a little old-school, but extremely cozy; we spent an amazing night and will certainly return soon!

Altamente recomendado.

Wine (4/5) - limited range, however Chardonnay I ordered was very nice and reasonable price. Finally, staff (5/5) - they were attentive and a staff bravely warned asian couple about their loud voice which had been obviously ruining the ambience. Overall very good.

We were looking to eat at a fish restaurant near to Knightsbridge. This one offered a 5 course tasting menu at 50% discount if ordered on line. It sounded exactly what we wanted and where we wanted. It had excellent reviews and it had a french Chef with a love of Norway. Could this be too good to be true? I honestly did wonder. WE NEED HAVE HAD NO CONCERN IT WAS EXACTLY AS GOOD AS IT SOUNDED. The welcome was warm. The atmosphere was modern, sophisticated minimalism. The food? I cannot go over each small course [7 if you include the amuse bouche and the coffee with petit fours]. Each and every one a beautifully presented explosion of flavours. Just big enough to delight but small enough to not feel over fed at the end.The most memorable was the scallop with fois gras. The staff were delightful. MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE WINE HAS ALWAYS BEEN POUILLY FUISSEE AND THEY HAD A VIEUX VINE EXAMPLE. Bit pricey but my goodness it was for us a perfect treat to go with the food. A wonderful evening of food "theatre" THANK YOU

This is a very special place, from the amuse bouche (a lovely ceviche), to the breads and two kinds of butter (sweet butter and salted seaweed flavored butter), to every other course in the great tasting menu (half-off in booked online) and wine pairings. The chef clearly remains gifted and meticulous--for us, after a 17-year gap, when we first visited this restaurant in late 1999. Every aspect of the food and dining experience was carefully executed. The 5 courses of the tasting menu included multiple fish options, some Japanese-influenced, others Spanish or French tinged. The dessert (a mini English trifle pudding) was thoughtfully superb. Despite the fact that a large group (25+) of Chinese tourists entered halfway through our dinner, there was no diminution in service or food quality, and the noise of the new guests was not excessive (particularly after their tour guide told them in Chinese to quiet down a bit to respect the other patrons--for which we were thankful). Wonderful, attentive wait staff (we counted at least 5 or 6 in a relatively small room with about 15 tables). We came away completely satisfied and highly recommend One O One for a carefully constructed seafood dinner to remember.

Been a little in two minds on this review, food was excellent, although servings were very small, even considering typical haute cuisine portioning. Again, no complaints on the actual food.. brilliant in some ways. Service left a little to be desired given the restaurant was far from busy and attention to the little things that make service noticeable was missing.

One o one is undersold from the outside: at the base of a concrete 1973 post war tower it is otherwise surrounded by the smart crisp buildings of Knightsbridge and just over the road is Hyde park, and it's worth remembering that the view from the windows clearly does not include the tower. The decor reminded me of a ship, with curved wooden surfaces that seemed very fitting for a fish restaurant. However, we didn't notice the decor of views once our courses began to arrive. We had booked the Terre et Mere tasting menu, with my partner and I treating ourselves to the accompanying wine pairings. Each course was full of flavour, each small part prepared exquisitely, we ate slowly trying to savour all the combinations of texture and flavour available with each course. The highlights for us included the second course of scallop and foie gras (yes it's a small portion and for this occasion I'm afraid we put aside our objections to foie gras). The scallop was perfect soft, buttery full of flavour, with the dabs of sauces complimenting rather than overpowering it. Our only criticism was that the grooved plate limited our access to the last drops of sauce and neither of us wanted to be seen wiping our plates with our bread! Our only and very minor criticism of one of the dishes was the bean cassoulet under the cod, very slightly under seasoned and the quantity a little too much for the balance of the dish - however as a whole, balancing that dish with chorizo without overpowering the cod and prawn was impressive in itself. The mains, I took the beef and crab, my partner the sea bass. Both powerfully flavoured, if I had one small criticism it was that the crab packed far more of a flavour punch than expected and the beef lost a little in competing. The desert was an unexpected delight, light fresh tropical fruit, a light crunch to the topping all balanced with a light cream and custard. The desert wine was the star of the selection and we finished our meal smiling. The sommelier was knowledgeable and the overall selection complemented the meal well, though the wine did cost the same as the menu - having enjoyed the early evening 50% discount on the tasting menu. Finally to comment on those that have left reviews about small quantities, this is a five course meal and we'd skipped lunch knowing we were coming here, neither of us have small appetites and we left feeling nicely full, exactly as it should be. How anyone could still be hungry after all five courses is surprising.Thoroughly recommended.

My boyfriend and I visited One-o-One for his birthday. We had the Terre et Mer tasting menu. I had high expectations going here as I had done a fair bit of research before hand. These were exceeded. The service was top notch, they even prepared a board of sweets at the end with a candle and "Happy Birthday" written on it.The food was incredible with the presentation and combination of colours, flavours and textures just superb. We also had some oysters (half shallot and vinegar, half vodka sorbet and caviar) and these were some of the freshest, sweetest oysters we've had.I know some of the critical reviews on TripAdvisor noted that the decor seemed dated, and I can see what they mean, but I felt the retro-feel made the place seem more comfortable and relaxed and did not detract in the slightest from the experience.Altogether flawless. Thank you so much to Chef Pascal Proyart and all the staff at One-O-One for making this dinner memorable for all the right reasons.

Without doubt one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. It is clear that chef Pascal has a great passion for food and delivering the highest quality dishes possible, his ingredients used were fresh and full of flavour and presented with great flair. I'm not usually one to choose fish on a Menu, but the fish I tasted on the tasting menu was incredible and at less than £40 for the tasting menu (5dishes plus L’Amuse-Bouche) it is incredible value for money. Having eaten at Michelin star restaurants previously, there is no doubt Pascal's food is at a Michelin Star Standard. We dined recently with some friends.I cannot fault the service or the food, however they did run out of the wine we were drinking ( we only had two bottles). The restaurant itself I feel is a bit dated, it is part of a hotel and feels very much like an old fashioned hotel restaurant, cold and boring. It could do with an update to improve the ambiance, as there is no atmosphere or interest. With so many good offerings in London, and even though the food was good, I don't think we will return. Much prefer Scotts, with its great vibe.

The nurse and I with offspring were at loose end and obtained a last minute booking on a Saturday night. The front of house sublime, Sean our waiter so efficient in an understated charming way. Probably best knowledge of food for front of house we have experienced for a long time. Three starters amongst best ever with layers of flavour and artistic presentation. The nurse had scallops with duck foie gras. I had a marinated salmon dish with lots else and offspring a crab masterpiece. All exquisite so much so we agreed could have had all three one after the other. My halibut and two fillet steaks ( I know it is a fish restaurant) were utterly divine, wonderful depth of flavour from a chef who clearly loves food. The three desserts were again a feast for eyes and taste buds. More so for me as I was told they would achieve any dish gluten free, which they duly did. Again good cheese choices without being extravagant. We were not rushed and space is good. The wine list is sensible rather than grand with many reasonably priced choices. Coffees good quality. The food absolutely at the level of Le Manoir but half the price. Will not hesitate to go again and highly recommend. So was there anything to make even better - no valet parking, but there is free street parking. Car park under restaurant pricey and rather tight squeeze if big car. The amuse bouche was OK but not at the wonderful level of all else and a similar comment with regard the petit fours of which there were plenty but not that wow of the rest of the meal. I also feel that restaurants at this standard need to be using a coravin for protecting wines by the glass. They could then serve very high quality by the glass. Well done all at one-0-one.

Every course was a special creation of the chef for the evening and was coupled with selected wines. First creation which deserves mention although technically not a course is a special butter with weed made by the chef according to a recipe from Brittany. Then came the entree, salmon and beetroot: very nice. After that, we had a lobster, squid scallop rice-less risotto which was breathtaking. Other signature courses were halibut, abalone and sunshokes as well as venison, foie gras, chestnuts and truffles. Wonderful desserts and friandises ended a glorious evening.

Right, I'll be honest. This review is slightly tainted by the service we received in the Park Tower hotel bar prior to our meal - it would be fair to say there was a bad taste in my mouth before we sat down. My girlfriend and I visited on 8th December as part of a Christmas shopping trip to London. We had been shopping in Kensingtin and to Winter Wonderland prior, started to get a little cold and decided to arrive slightly before our 9pm reservation for a drink in the hotel bar. Upon arriving a perfect charming receptionist told us which way to go and we arrived in a perfectly nice hotel bar (not the restaurant bar). I approached said bar and was ignored while the bar man spent 10 minutes talking to a colleague. Eventually he did decide to serve me. I ordered a bottle of lager (Peroni since thats all i could see in the fridge) and asked to see the wine list - the obviously uninterested bar man advised "we don't have one". "Very well" I replied, trying to maintain politeness, "My girlfriend would like a glass of Rosè, which is it?". This was answered with a sneer and "It's wine, it's French". We drank our drinks and asked for the bill. The cost of a 125ml glass of 'French Rosè' and a 330ml bottle of Peroni was £26.After my irritation had died down, we moved onto the restaurant. It was possibly half full. We stood in the reception area for around the 5 minutes while various staff walked past and ignored us. Eventually someone came and took our coats and said that we could choose our own table. We were asked if we wanted water. (No option of an aperitif was made though if the hotel bar was anything to go by was no great loss) - the water was forgotten, we had to ask for it again. We were offered a wine list. No one actually brought it so we just didn't bother. We were brought the wrong menu (we'd ordered the Christmas menu and were brought the regular menu ) - this was rectified. The shame here is that the food was very good. We had zero complaints in that regard but by the time it arrived we were utterly fed up and left after 2 courses. TO be fair they only charged us for the two courses which they didn't have to do but that might have been due to the slightly murderous look in my eyes. Food came to only about £27 each (roughly the cost of a bottle of lager and a very Bargain Booze glass of French Rosè apparantly) - we both agreed that the food was fine value with the quality offered. For what it's worth, I had risotto made from tapioca, crab and squid as a starter and partridge stuffed with foie gras for main. The missus had salmon three ways and lemon sole. The desserts sounded lovely we'd just lost patience by this point.Alyn Williams at the Westbury was perfectly nice the next day with service to match.

Stayed at the Park Tower Hotel and ate here on the first night. First impressions, the wine list extremely expensive and spelt New Zealand wrong! The restaurant is a throw back to the 1970s with outdated decor and uncomfortable chairs, extra large tables, which takes away the intimacy of a meal for 2. The food was well presented and well cooked. At prices like these I don't expect a crying toddler to be onsite at 9.30pm, and would have thought a time limit on children would be appropriate policy from management to ensure the enjoyment of other guests, and as a parent of 2 I would not have objected to such a policy. Two courses each and a bottle of wine £185, I've been to Michelin star restaurants that are better value.

Visited here after a recommendation of our hotel concierge and it lived up to expectations. It's expensive but well worth visit for that luxury treat. The service is excellent and the food quality superb. I have a problem paying exorbitant prices for reasonable wines but apart from that I would recommend the atmosphere and ambiance. We asked for a good seafood place and this was it.

Was initially worried that it was going to have too much sea food but actually there were a lot of meat dishes included in the mix. staff were so friendly without being too in your face and not pretentious at all. chilled out vibes and great service. It'll always surprise me to see just how deliciously agreable the dining experience is at one-o-one. Over the months i've been coming, the quality of the exquisite food and uniquely friendly service never flutter. When it comes to the cuisine, all senses are welcome to the feast, heavenly refinned and as a seated experience, the wonderful team lead by Mitch, the restaurant supervisor, seem to have nailed high class service with perfection and no pretention. This is the second time I have dined here, and I do feel the quality of the food is underrated. I am surprised it is not harder to get a weekend reservation. We had the tasting menu, which had no weak dishes (apart from perhaps the dessert). The amuse bouche was fresh and full of flavour, interesting because it was so much better than the red mullet tartare we had at Clove Club recently in terms of taste. The tuna tartare was very tasty, and who would have thought truffle matched raw tuna so well, but it did work. It was a really balanced dish. The dish was the best of all though. The scallop and pork belly, such a great combination, and the dish was executed perfectly. It was the highlight of the meal. There was also a cod dish, with a fantastic prawn in the shell which was again just absolutely packed full of flavour, really impressive. Then the beef fillet, lobster and crab. What a combo, and it did not disappoint. The dessert was not the strongest part of the meal, but clearly this is a fish restaurant, and the cooking of all the savoury dishes was flawless.I also had the wine flight which was brilliant from start to finish. The decor feels very 1950s, and it is a lot nicer inside than it looks from the outside. As the restaurant filled, it had a lovely atmosphere. The service was very attentive, and full of endeavour. No complaints at all. This is not a michelin star restaurant (although I must say the food was superior to a fair few star restaurants I have been to), but in the category this restaurant places itself (price wise and food wise) I think it really does show up a lot of the competition.I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys top quality fish and seafood.

Came here before with a friend and it was lovely. Unfortunately not this time. The main was not hot, we weren't offered any sides and realised too late, the Diet Coke was flat, the dessert was not proportionate to size of mains. Despite it being an offer it turned out to very expensive. However the staff were lovely - thank goodness for their u bread basket!

Away with my partner for her birthday. So wanted somewhere in Knightsbridge where we staying to eat which would compliment the luxury weekend I was aiming to give. I found the restaurant online with great reviews and specialising on seafood which is my partners ideal. I couldn't have chosen anywhere better, only a short drive in the hotel car to be dropped outside where the attentive and pleasant staff greeted us, taking our coats and leading us to our table. We took the al a carte menu. The food was impeccable, as you'd expect from a restaurant of this calibre. The waiting staff were very knowledgeable, never seeming phased to answer queries about the dishes. And the sommelier with some fantastic suggestions. The added touch of a bespoke petit four made the end to our meal a real treat. In essence, extremely pleased with the service and exceptional meal, intend to return again soon. Thank you all. D. white

The food is very nice and there is no complains to make regarding that. The originality of some of the pairing within the dishes are also much appreciated. However, 3 hours and a half for 5 courses is very long, too long. Obviously it is also rather annoying to have two out of four dishes being brought, and those being taken back saying that the kitchen messed up, having to wait another half an hour to get the food back. waiters were very nice but their professionalism was not incredible (a 30 pounds reduction for four people out of a note of over 400, is rather awkward, the smallest polite thing to do would have been to offer the Champagne). however the staff definitely was nice and friendly, just slightly inefficient.

Just been back for al a carte lunch at one o one and I absolutely enjoyed every morsel. I hadn't been for some time and I can't really understand how I waited so long for a return visit It is expensive but it is beautifully presented and the dishes are bursting with flavour making this restaurant head and shoulders above many of the Michelin establishments. The surf and turf main course is outstanding, even though I am not usually impressed with meat and fish on the same plate but the beef fillet with the lobster and crab combined with wonderful Asian influenced sauces and purées elevate this dish to blissful heights. Will be going back shortly for another great meal and exceptional service.

We dined here last weekend as two couples. The food is remarkably good! My starter was delightful, scallops and foie gras. My husband had the crab risotto and said it is the best starter he has ever had! The dishes are well put together and executed excellently. Main, I had sea bass and the others had beef which looked beautiful. Just don't over order on your sides, we had so much left over. Service was very good, polite and there whenever you needed something. Only let down is the room itself, just a bit plain and boring but do not let this put you off! One of the best restaurants for fish in London in my opinion.

Had dinner with clients, their wives and my wife. Was expecting great things from write ups I'd seen elsewhere and the quality of the food did not disappointed but if they are going for a Michelin star they need to up the service. My wife had to ask the waiter twice for her water and wine glasses to be refilled and the restaurant wasn't busy. It has the potential to be a very good restaurant and would definitely revisit in the hope that the waiters are a little more attentive.

My wife and I normally eschew the over-priced mediocrity of the hotel main dining room, but after a long and stressful day, decided to stay in for dinner at the One-O-One. This turned out to be the best decision in some time, as the entire experience was superb. We both enjoyed the lobster and crab salad to start, featuring several individual items artfully arranged on the plate, each with its own unique presentation and flavorings. This was followed by the sea bass for two, a specialty of the house. It is prepared in a crust of salt, and then brought table-side for removal of the salt shell, deboning, and serving. The accompanying sauce was perfect. We've never had tastier fish. The dessert list is short, but adequately supports the earlier experience in taste and presentation. The wine list is extensive, and unsurprisingly for this area of London, somewhat light on modestly-priced options. This small quibble was more than offset by the superb service and food.

Visited on a Wednesday evening and was our first visit. The decor is beautiful and we were seated by the window. Service here is truly impeccable and was the case throughout the evening. The bread came with 2 types of butter which were both equally delicious. We went for the 5 course taster menu and wow, truly exceeded expectations. Each course was enough to satisfy the palate without being overbearing or too heavy. It was truly a feast on the eyes and the stomach. But it truly is the level of service that makes this restaurant stand out for me. The ambience is of sophistication and has a quiet tranquility aura which meant you could have a good conversation. Fantastic service started with a warm welcome, shopping and weekend bags dealt with gracefully. The food was just a brilliantly constructed crescendo of taste, texture, flavour and aesthetic presentation. Each course was a delight in itself but they were masterfully constructed to counterpoint each other. My favourite bite was the hake so perfectly crisp on the outside yet succulent inside. The chocolate final course was as it should be just on the right side of being too rich.My daughter had mentioned it was my wife's birthday and so the petit fours with tea and coffee were served on a slate with happy birthday and a candle (one should never enquire about a lady's age). The other diners also seemed to be having a great time, one table near us had a fantastic looking salt baked fish which looked worth coming back for!Price was about £60ph with drinks

The 5 course tasting menu is very innovative, pure delight and definitely worth experiencing. The courses were all good but the scallops, foiegras and wild mushrooms were divine and a surprisingly wonderful tasting medley. The surf and turf of lobster, king crab and beef file was absolutely sublime just when you think such a classic combi cannot possibly surprise you. They did not have a huge wine list but definitely good enough choices and price range to suit. We went for a bottle of Loire Chenin Blanc £34, which paired well with all courses, except dessert, which we ordered a glass of Chilean Semillion. The wine pairing at £39, which one of us had, was the only “nothing to sing about” event. For pairing with such wondrous food, the wine choices seemed a bit sedated and the amount of wine for each course was no more than a large mouthful. I will skip this next time. All in all, this seafood restaurant more than lived up to already high expectations and greatly deserve ranking 13 in Time’s 100 top UK restaurant list. We’ll be back.
