Poor quality of food. Lack of staff to actually provide good service. Very inconvenient when you are trying to have a quick bite before work or during your lunch. Never again. I would rather spend my money on Gail's. To add to this, since the change in ownership, the quality of the food has noticeably declined. The baked goods no longer have the same level of care and craftsmanship that made them stand out under the previous owner. The croissants, in particular, lack the rich, buttery taste they once had and now have an artificial flavour. When I raised my concerns in person, the explanation I received felt dismissive rather than reassuring. While technical details like layering matter, the most important thing is the overall taste and quality. That being said, the two staff members working there are absolutely lovely and provide great service, but they seem to be understaffed. I truly hope the new owner takes customer feedback seriously and makes improvements, as this bakery has the potential to regain its former excellence.

I used to love this place ! I was served an old croissant this morning… absolutely gutted! I came back to ask it it was done this morning and they said yes. It’s not true, I’m French and taken as a fool, so sad 🥲 it was elastic, cold at 8am and not tasty

This was the go to bakery in London and for my wife’s birthday I ordered a four person fraisier and quiche for our party. Happy to pay the premium price for what we knew were going to be quality products. How wrong I was today. Dry sponge and undisolved gelatin and strawberries that tasted stale in the fraisier. Add to that so much salt in the quiche we couldn’t get through it. Unless there are drastic changes for the better sadly I can’t see how the business can keep its customers. I for one will not be returning.

I had a Mille feuille. It was acceptable but the puff pastry was only crispy but not buttery or flakey. The custard was a bit too sweet for my liking and lacked the vanilla and eggy flavour.

Certainly the best croissants and pastries I ever found in UK by far… you can taste the subtle butter, and it’s proper flakey and crunchy, fresh and not stale like you find them everywhere else… it’s just a great shame there is no sit down space, I’d be in every morning… on the other hand, it’s probably for the best, at my age I cannot afford to put on weight!

The quality and taste of the cakes are always great. But a couple of days ago I had an unpleasant incident - I ordered two pieces of cake and the girl who sold it took the cakes out for me with her bare hands without gloves or a special device. I don't want to eat cakes after someone else has touched them with their fingers. I asked for a replacement, she put on gloves, that is, she had them. People, we survived a pandemic, why should I teach hygiene to a person working with food? Unanswered question

Like many other loyal customers, I have been buying my baked goods from Saint Anne's for years. In London, it's almost impossible to find places with the soul and craftsmanship of bakeries in France or in Eastern European countries, and this bakery has always stood out for the consistently high quality of its products. It was clear that its former owners put their heart and soul into this place. A month ago, I was unpleasantly surprised when I bought a croissant for the same high price and could not tell the difference between the pastry from Sainsbury's... A completely dry and thin croissant, instead of butter - a tangible smell of margarine, yet the price is just as high. Please don't let down the good reputation of this place and stop saving on butter and products, and if not - please go by another non-French name. I sincerely hope that the new management of this otherwise excellent bakery will hear my and many other reviews.

As a regular, I can confirm the patisserie is running strong with excellent flavours, ingredients as always - the first bite feels like getting a small hug. The butter, the flakiness of the melt-in-the-mouth pastry, just gorgeous!

As most French people in London who know about this gem, I was slightly worried to find out that they had changed staff/ownership; indeed all of a sudden, the best french bakery in London (and my haven for comforting pastries and baguettes) was at risk of becoming some fancy overpriced french inspired blurb...might as well move back to France at that point, right?! Haha! Well, DON'T!! There's no need! The new owners and staff are absolutely fabulous and all ingredients are the same: the pastries and vienoiseries and baguettes are still as exceptional as they ever were (i.e. better than some of the best bakeries and boulangeries in France) and the service is impeccable! I am so glad that Patisserie st Anne is still here and so grateful to its new owners for having kept it just as wonderful! In a nutshell, if you haven't already, you must go there as soon as you can! NB: Only challenge is still the same as ever though: how are you supposed to choose? Everything is excellent! Lastly, to all those who say that it's less good since the change of ownership, I would say that change is always something that we -as humans- struggle with and tend to reject...so give them a bit of time! It is true that I also noticed a slight adaptation/adjustment period in the first week or so BUT they've managed to completely match the quality and service now, so give them a chance, they deserve it and we deserve those delicious pastries and bread ! Well done! PS: the galette des rois might even be better than it was before and the fève I had was adorable, you MUST try it before the end of Jan...(After that, if you still need your frangipane fix, there's always their unreal pain au chocolat aux amandes, which is to die for all year round!).

More than anything they were patient across the entire processes while we were choosing the flavours and the design. I used to be a regular here, especially for their croissants that were simply outstanding, like nowhere else I could find in London. Sadly, the quality of their baked products has recently dropped remarkably: just by looking at them you can tell they're made with cheap ingredients and methods. And your palate will confirm that. What a big shame to lose what used to be Hammersmith's little gem.

Sad day for what used to be a lovely french boulangerie/patisserie that we loved to visit. Their entire menu has changed and is not so french nor good anymore. Rosette became prosciutto, cornichons became cheap Tesco pickles burger gherkins, camembert replaced with brie. The sandwiches that we used to love are now barely average. Pastries didn’t look so sharp either. I am afraid this is going to be another “whatever” London place now where there is no focus on quality and just counting on foot traffic.

Wow. Walked in and instantly noticed the drop in quality of the products just visually. Everything seems to have dropped to Gails or Paul quality (as others have said). The staples are no longer as outstanding as they used to be - both in quality of ingredient used and method of preparation. Used to travel out of my way, past some pretty good bakeries to get here.

I happened to check the bakery’s website just after ordering and saw one of the flavours had gluten in it (this wasn’t mentioned on UberEats), so I quickly called and asked for it to be switched out for another flavour, as my friend has a gluten intolerance. When the order arrived, the sticker sealing the box had been ripped open and messily taped back together with scotch tape. I bought a baguette too: the Trop was OK with nice cream on an ordinary bun, with a sugar nibs coating the top that reminded me of my childhood. Impossible to eat without a creamy coating on fingers and mouth. But the baguette was not baked through! Surely a french bakery can achieve one that is both cooked in the centre and crusty on the outside? Otherwise I may as well buy at Sainsbury and throw away the centre as usual. I would not return.

Hands down the best bakery in London. The croissant are to die for. The bread is fresh and authentically French and if you arrive early enough you can buy it while it is still warm. The cakes and the freshly prepared sandwiches are amazing too. Please keep on doing what you are doing.

An incredible French bakery in Hammersmith. They import butter from France and bake things in house. The cakes were delicious and we will be back to try their amazing looking crossaint.

I have huge adoration for Patisserie Saint Anne, or as I like to call it, Patisserie Saint Scran. With almond pastries that are simply unbeatable in London, this is undoubtedly one of the capital's finest, most authentic bakeries.

No better place in the area for a pain au chocolat. I also like the filled baguettes (a little hidden on the chalk menu toward the ceiling behind the counter. A jambon-beurre is a favourite pick me up after playing basketball in Ravenscourt Park. I’d also recommend the chausson aux pommes and - ask if they were baked that day and if the answer is oui, buy - the canelés.

Superb bakery where i recommend the pepitte. A brioche with chocolate. Beware they are sold out very quickly so get there early or order in advance and collect.

One of the few places in London you can be invisible, but not in a good way. Decent pastries and delicious bread, but so many of the staff are beyond rude. Stood in line with one other customer this morning (four staff behind the counter) but waited 10 minutes to be served. If avoiding eye contact were an Olympic sport, these lot would excel.

Excellent Patisserie in West London, no need to go to France to enjoy great food. All of their products are fantastic. The staff is friendly and bilingual English / French. I am a regular customer. Easy to access from the tube station.

The food is really top notch but so are the prices. The owner is lovely but there is a distinct lack of customer service when she isnt there. Sometimes it feels like you're a bit of an inconvenience.

My partner and I have been loyal customers of Patisserie St Anne for quite some time now, often traveling an hour each way to enjoy the delightful treats your bakery has to offer. Our monthly visits have become a cherished tradition, as we appreciate the quality and craftsmanship that sets this establishment apart. However, our last visit on Saturday left us with a sour taste, figuratively and quite literally. Among the assortment of items we purchased was an apricot tart, which unfortunately had turned. Understanding the nature of perishable goods, my partner, who is a professional baker, thought it best to bring this to the attention of the management during our next visit. Today, I had the opportunity to speak with one of the directors about the issue. To our surprise, the conversation turned into a lengthy interrogation rather than a discussion aimed at resolution. Despite our loyalty and the inconvenience of the situation, the director mentioned that nothing could be done since no one had complained about the tart last week. Furthermore, she explained that offering a gesture of goodwill was out of the question as the tart should have been returned, despite the fact that I lived an hour away. This response was disheartening, especially considering the consistent patronage of my family and friends who also frequent the bakery. It is disappointing that, in this one instance where a problem arose, the customer service provided was poor and unsatisfactory. We understand the challenges of running a business, but we believe that addressing customer concerns with empathy and finding amicable solutions should be a priority. As customers, we hope that our feedback will be taken into consideration for the improvement of customer service standards at Patisserie St Anne. We believe that a commitment to resolving issues promptly and with a customer-centric approach will only enhance the reputation of your esteemed bakery.

Beautiful spot and lovely looking restaurant, went for early dinner before theatre. It was for my friends birthday. We ordered cheese soufflé for starter it arrived looking good but was frozen in the middle, we returned and the 2nd one arrived brown and hard on the outside and still frozen in the middle ! The pork main arrived and was in fact a piece of gammon, the sauce was greasy and the potato was served upside down the cabbage was good though ! Our waiter Nick was lovely though ! The staff were setting up for the evening and moving tables and chairs around making a huge amount of noise ! Causing someone to walk out ! It was very uncomfortable rather than relaxing ! I hope this was just a one off as the setting is beautiful!!! Not the best experience!

Very average service, and the restaurant was almost empty—more staff than customers. The food was okay, but I found a meat string in my dish, which was off-putting. Despite this, there was no acknowledgment, no discount offered, and I was still charged a service fee. The manager lacked basic manners, and the overall experience was disappointing. I chose not to make a scene as my wife begged me not to , but I definitely wouldn’t return. Such a shame especially as we are both locals.
