Sad day for what used to be a lovely french boulangerie/patisserie that we loved to visit. Their entire menu has changed and is not so french nor good anymore. Rosette became prosciutto, cornichons became cheap Tesco pickles burger gherkins, camembert replaced with brie. The sandwiches that we used to love are now barely average. Pastries didn’t look so sharp either. I am afraid this is going to be another “whatever” London place now where there is no focus on quality and just counting on foot traffic.

Came here to write a review as I had such a shock when I ate my usual chausson aux pommes today. Having seen the other reviews, it now makes sense due to this supposed change of ownership. As a french person, I am outraged!! pastries have taken a nosedive in quality. RIP patisserie st anne :(

Great patisserie, but... they have recently changed their croissant and pain au chocolat recipe. Still fairly good, but £3.50 is too much given that they're now no better than Waitrose ones.

Wow. Walked in and instantly noticed the drop in quality of the products just visually. Everything seems to have dropped to Gails or Paul quality (as others have said). The staples are no longer as outstanding as they used to be - both in quality of ingredient used and method of preparation. Used to travel out of my way, past some pretty good bakeries to get here. Now I see no reason to at all. Sad, but all good things must come to an end I guess.

I have been a customer since this amazing bakery opened . It has changed ownership recently and frankly I want to thank the new owners for keeping my bread as amazing as it used to be under previous ownership . I would also like to celebrate the fact that the croissants and pains of chocolat in my french opinion have been improved ... Aurevoir the greasy overcooked and welcome to a tasty alternative . All of you give those new owners time to adapt (not easy) and keep the community fed with good quality produce (Who want to shop in Gail ? ) Keep the good work new owners , see you next Saturday as usual ... Been going to this Patisserie for years thought the owners were taking a long holiday. The reason there were queues for the delicious croissants, pastries and bread was the quality. The croissant alone were worth travelling for but now the same poor quality as Gail’s etc. Such a shame but I wish the retired owners a long and happy retirement and Thank you for your delicious pastries for so long.

Even the simple apple turnover is not as nice and of course now they make cinnamon bun like everywhere else.

Inténtalo y no te irás decepcionado. I ordered macarons on UberEats to give as a gift to a friend (I requested gift wrapping in the notes). I happened to check the bakery’s website just after ordering and saw one of the flavours had gluten in it (this wasn’t mentioned on UberEats), so I quickly called and asked for it to be switched out for another flavour, as my friend has a gluten intolerance. When the order arrived, the sticker sealing the box had been ripped open and messily taped back together with scotch tape. The state of the package was not appropriate to give as a gift and this also raised food safety concerns. Very disappointing.

I bought a baguette too: the Trop was OK with nice cream on an ordinary bun, with a sugar nibs coating the top that reminded me of my childhood. Impossible to eat without a creamy coating on fingers and mouth. But the baguette was not baked through! Surely a french bakery can achieve one that is both cooked in the centre and crusty on the outside? Otherwise I may as well buy at Sainsbury and throw away the centre as usual. I would not return.

My partner and I have been loyal customers of Patisserie St Anne for quite some time now, often traveling an hour each way to enjoy the delightful treats your bakery has to offer. Our monthly visits have become a cherished tradition, as we appreciate the quality and craftsmanship that sets this establishment apart. However, our last visit on Saturday left us with a sour taste, figuratively and quite literally. Among the assortment of items we purchased was an apricot tart, which unfortunately had turned. Understanding the nature of perishable goods, my partner, who is a professional baker, thought it best to bring this to the attention of the management during our next visit. Today, I had the opportunity to speak with one of the directors about the issue. To our surprise, the conversation turned into a lengthy interrogation rather than a discussion aimed at resolution. Despite our loyalty and the inconvenience of the situation, the director mentioned that nothing could be done since no one had complained about the tart last week. Furthermore, she explained that offering a gesture of goodwill was out of the question as the tart should have been returned, despite the fact that I lived an hour away. This response was disheartening, especially considering the consistent patronage of my family and friends who also frequent the bakery. It is disappointing that, in this one instance where a problem arose, the customer service provided was poor and unsatisfactory. We understand the challenges of running a business, but we believe that addressing customer concerns with empathy and finding amicable solutions should be a priority. As customers, we hope that our feedback will be taken into consideration for the improvement of customer service standards at Patisserie St Anne. We believe that a commitment to resolving issues promptly and with a customer-centric approach will only enhance the reputation of your esteemed bakery.

Just came back from France and I missed the bread so much I tried this one out. The baguettes here are on par or better than the ones I had in France! Cute little bakery - definitely authentic! They speak French too

My favourite French pattiserie in London. Worth travelling just for their amazing almond croissants alone but their cakes, pastries, quiches are all equally delicious. Their baguette, baked fresh throughout the day is the most authentic I have found outside of France, especially if you are lucky enough to pick one up when it’s fresh out the oven. Highly recommended is also the Automne cake which comprises of layers of hazelnut and chocolate mousse and chewy pistachio cake…

came here today, food was absolutely lovely as I got a pistolet but it was somewhat burnt, apart from that it was great. I got a pain un chocolat and as a big fan of these, these were also great however wished there was more of the rich chocolate and 3.30 is quite a bit expensive as I paid the same for the bread
