Le Petit Citron in Hammersmith and Fulham

Tuvimos un gran tiempo aquí el sábado por la noche. Café francés muy concurrido con algunos platos muy buenos. Me gustó especialmente el filete de onglet con fritas. Las croquetas de pescado eran un muy buen entrante. La carta de vinos tiene botellas que son asequibles. Gin cocktail delicioso. Me llamó especialmente la atención lo bueno que fue el servicio. Una cálida bienvenida y una buena explicación de la comida que se ofrece. Llegó a unas 80 libras por cabeza para cuatro personas. Pero eso fue por poco menos de tres platos cada uno con una ronda de cócteles y dos botellas de vino. Así que sacamos el máximo. Podrías gastar un poco menos aquí si quieres. Deseando lo mejor a los dueños. Ciertamente están haciendo un esfuerzo.

Qué joyita es este restaurante. El servicio era atento y la comida era sublime. La única dificultad era tener que elegir entre los postres. Las opciones vegetarianas son limitadas, pero he encontrado que eso es bastante cierto para muchos restaurantes franceses. El guiso basquaise estaba delicioso y muy lleno. Lo recomendaría a fondo.

What a great little restaurant! Took my aunt, husband and two teenage children for lunch midweek in the holidays. The restaurant was busy but not packed, really lovely atmosphere. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable without being the type to refill your glass every time you take a sip - my pet peeve. The food is classic French bistro style, lots of daily specials too, and a decent wine list along with cocktails, mocktails and champagne. Will definitely be back!

Very good experience. The place is very beautiful with typically French objects found to complete the decoration. Very good cuisine. The servers are very attentive and ask if there are any allergies... Only downside: the place is a little out of the center of London.

We ordered the daily special (lamb with vegetables), and honestly, it was shockingly small. Two thin slices of carrot, 3 halves of baby potatoes, barely any lamb, and a couple of green beans. That’s not a main! £25 per plate for that? Completely unreasonable. For £64 including service, we left hungry and disappointed. I had high hopes for this place, but it felt like a rip-off. At that price, you expect a proper meal — not a mini portion dressed up as a dish.

I enjoyed the food and the waiting staff were charming and helpful, but why, when the place was almost empty, were 2 of the 4 other diners seated each side of us so we had no space or privacy and had to speak loudly to hear each other? But most disconcerting was staff starting to sweep the floor around our table 45 minutes before closing time. Really found that unnecessary and unacceptable.

Hemos visitado dos veces ahora y ha sido excelente en ambas ocasiones. El servicio es alegre y a buen ritmo; la carta de vinos cubre todo lo que necesita y cada curso da en el acto. Puede ser difícil encontrar un lugar francés como este, donde es amigable y a un precio a este nivel, pero tienen un buen equilibrio aquí.

An excellent meal, delicious food, delicious wine, lovely staff.

Food and service was fantastic!

Had a very nice lunch, the food was delicious, perfectly cooked to order, portion size appropriate, and sides were great. The service was excellent, the team maintained our table requirements without interruption or fuss, backed off from asking questions when we were talking etc, this is often forgotten these days, but this is how a good dining experience should be. The restaurant is beautiful, very French feeling. Nice music in the background. It met my expectations and more. 5 stars is reserved for a Michelin experience, but this really wasn't that far off it.

Had a great meal here before heading to the Apollo.

Food was a 4.5* tbf, but I had to round down because the portions were on the smaller side, though that is a niggle and my wife and I both went for the chicken and mushrooms and it was delicious. Service recently has been even more engaging and helpful than in the past, and I've never had a complaint in that department. The beautiful weather and the neighbourhood finally waking up to this local gem more decisively, meant that it was near-full when we were there and the added buzz made the evening complete.

Lovely place with a nice atmosphere and lovely staff. Went for my mother-in-laws birthday and she throughly enjoyed it.

What an experiance. Staff, food, ambiance, everything was just wonderful. We cannot wait to visit again, when back in London.

Large 20 ppl booking. A huge thank you to the team at Le Petit Citron! From booking to the day of the event, everything was seamless and stress-free. The service was excellent—nothing was ever a problem. The food was delicious, and the whole event was incredibly well-organized. They truly played a big part in making the day a success!

6 of us came for dinner on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was nearly full and there was a a nice atmosphere. the food was excellent and the service perfect. We will definitely return.

The vegetables were cooked at just the right temperature, the overall seasoning was just right, the meat was tender, the ingredients were fresh, and the potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service is very good and the environment is also good. Recommended!

The food here was absolutely wonderful! As a vegetarian there weren't many options but the quality was amazing! The créme brullée was a particular highlight for me! And I was pleasantly surprised by the beetroot soup, which was lovely. Thank you Le Petit Citron for a delightful evening.

Great food and service. I went on a quiet Saturday lunchtime and it was exactly what wew needed.

Splendid, friendly and accessible little French Bistro. Always a lovely welcome and always good food. £100 a head but that included 3 bottles of good wine between 5 people.

It was a great experience, and it was authentic French cuisine! The starters are traditional french classic. And the menu a little more elaborate, but showing classic slow cooked duck and having amazing plat du jour. We went with the waiter's recommendation for one of them, and we were not disappointed! I think this restaurant is perfect for a special date, or a good family dinner. It made me miss home cooking in France..

This is a great place, with delicious food and is the definition of a neighbourhood gem. Particuylarly worth trying are the fish soup and the burger, which is the best you can get in west London

The sea bass was quite good but the Jerusalem artichoke purée sadly had very little flavour. The petit citron dessert was very good.

After visiting the place before and had a good experience so decided to come back and was a real let down. The only part that was good was the dish I had before and my partner ordered the brandade de mureau. The rest of the meal was underwhelming, lacking in depth of flavour . I ordered the coq au vin and was the worst I've ever had. No much flavour and very watery. Gave a feedback to the waiter and the manager never bothered to come over to speak with us. Unfortunately the place has everything to be great but deeply disappointed tonight!!!!

This is such a quaint little local gem and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try it. Three friends and I chose this cosy venue not to celebrate Valentine’s Day ;-) and it was the perfect choice. The atmosphere was charming with tasteful French touches and even a Gallic joke with the door to the restrooms signposted “Toulouse”. We had a very attentive and engaged waiter who took time to consider questions about the menu and to offer sensible suggestions. The menu offered a number of tempting options and we were all delighted with our choices. We shared three desserts to finish as there were so many fabulous options. All in all, a great choice for our gathering and I hope to be back very soon!

Lovely restaurant with great food. Staff are friendly and helpful. My partner and I had the Coq Au Vin and the Winter Ratatouille which were delicious. Very comfortable environment from start to finish, we look forward to visiting again in the future to try difference dishes.

Amazing little restaurant, very cosy and romantic. Came for Valentines and was really impressed. Service was great and prices very good. Food was amazing, very tasty and good portion size. Will come again for sure

Although the location was a bit far away as I live in East London, the food was so amazing! We ordered the duck leg and grilled pork. They both surprised us!

Fantastic food and really friendly staff. Our visit here was a delight. The waiter, by chance, overheard it was my birthday and presented a card together with a candle surprise for dessert - a touch of class! Would definitely recommend :)

What can I say? The service was simply the best I’ve ever had and the food was totally delicious! Really didn’t want to leave because the atmosphere was so welcoming and comfortable. Have already recommended Le petit citron to quite a few people this weekend! We will be back..

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience on my recent visit with my wife. We were visiting London and don’t have anything close to a Bistro where we live. We got a table by the window which was a great people watching opportunity. All of the waitstaff were extremely friendly and the steak frites was VERY good (I could not stop eating the fries even though they gave me way too many). Highly recommend for many reasons.

I really liked Le Petit Citron, I had always walked past it and wondered what it was like. Attentive staff and really helpful when I had a glitch with the reservation. Food was good, although to be honest, I had the soupe de poisson which was a bit underwhelming (despite the welcome dash of Pastis) but other than that, really nice restaurant I will definitely go again.

Wonderful dinner while visiting London. I enjoyed the prix fixe including a delicious cream of onion soup, minute steak with duck fat potatoes, and pot de chocolate. All were perfectly portioned, rich and delicious. My husband had the steak frites with an enormous basket of fries neither of us could stop eating. Atmosphere is of a quaint neighborhood bistro with very attentive staff. Will look forward to a return visit!

Romantic French escape! The romantic dinner whose cozy, intimate atmosphere made us feel like we were in Provence. Rich, authentic flavors from the escargots to the perfectly crispy duck confit. Service was warm and attentive. A true French bistro experience in the heart of London. Merci et à bientôt!

I love this little neighbourhood place - always great food, great wine and a lovely atmosphere

We had not been to Le Petit Citron for a while, but when we went on 1st Feb to celebrate a special anniversary for me & my wife, all 4 of us loved it as the food, service & ambience were all excellent. Our daughter & her husband were with us, who loved it all also.

We walked in early Saturday evening, the restaurant had just opened and we were the first customers. The food and service were excellent and we were so pleased that we had stumbled across this place. We will definitely be back

My family and I ate here for dinner and loved every moment of it! Timely and kind service, delicious food, and great environment. Butcher’s Cut (steak) was less seasoned than I was anticipating and am used to; however, perhaps that’s normal for this cuisine, so no big deal!

El almuerzo perfecto. Al llegar en un aguacero me senté en un lugar cálido y seco. El premio Fixe de menú de tres platos de £ 30 es el almuerzo perfecto. El ambiente se siente auténtico, música de fondo francesa, jarras Ricard, manteles de cuadros rojos y blancos, etc. Si tuve una rencilla, y es menor, a pesar de todos los pequeños toques para parecer franca, no hay pan en la mesa. El bar de carretera más malo de Francia ofrece pan y el cargo por servicio automático debe garantizar que aquí. Sin embargo, es un punto menor, es un muy buen almuerzo

Le Petit Citron is a wonderful restaurant in my neighbourhood, and my fiancé and I love eating there when we want a meal that is both comforting and elegant. The atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant are gorgeous, and make a wonderful location for celebrating a special event. One immediately feels transported to a Parisian bistro. And the food at Le Petit Citron is absolutely delightful. I have coeliac disease (I cannot eat gluten), but both the kitchen and front house teams are very knowledgeable about coeliac, have numerous authentic French dishes on their menu that are gluten free, and even have a separate fryer that is used for gluten-free ingredients only. Menu items I have tried include two varieties of socca crisps (made of chickpea flour) with mushroom and walnut paté, the steak frites, duck fat popcorn, confit duck and their signature dessert Le Petit Citron which happens to be gluten free with meringue and a dreamy sweet-sour lemon cream. The service team are lovely and knowledgeable, and I can only recommend you visit this restaurant.

Nuestra primera visita ya que recientemente nos hemos trasladado a la zona. Hemos pasado un número de veces y decidimos reservar para un sábado por la noche. El restaurante estaba muy ocupado, pero el servicio y la comida eran fantásticos. Probamos los caracoles / entrantes y la red y puedo decir honestamente que la comida es fantástica. Una experiencia francesa perfecta en un maravilloso bistró romántico. Definitivamente, este será uno de nuestros nuevos lugares para ir. Gracias por una gran noche.

We had a delicious lunch at Le Petit Citron in December with good service and the staff were very friendly.

I visited with my friend on 11 January. The service was outstanding as we were looked after from start to finish. The staff clearly love working at the restaurant and welcoming customers. The food was very good. There was a variety of options. The minute steak was delicious as it was cooked to perfection. There were many nice but naughty dessert options. I live within a 10 minutes walk of the restaurant and will definitely be returning!

Fabulous food and a lovely ambience, highly recommended.

My friend and I went on New Year's Eve at 8 pm. The service was good but the food very poor. We both started with the scallops that were fine but then we both chose the sea bas. It was awful a piece of fish cooked ok but was sitting on a watery plate of potatoes mousseline with a couple of bits or slivers of fennel. It was very watery did not look good nor did it taste good. Actually, it was unpleasant. The pudding was a chocolate something, very delicious, with a compote of fruit and an orange or satsuma water-ice bombe. That must have been frozen for weeks and could not even be cut by a knife, when it melted a bit it was delicious. Our 3 course meal with a bottle of wine came to £190.00 too much for what we received. I should have complained at the time but did not want to spoil New Years Eve for us or the other customers. I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my wonderful experience at Le Petit Citron. We were truly impressed by the exceptional service provided by our waitress, Gianna. She is an incredible host—warm, attentive, and so thoughtful. We dined with our toddler, and anyone with young children knows that can sometimes be a challenge. Gianna went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, taking great care of not just us but our little one as well. Her kindness and attentiveness truly made our evening special. The food was equally impressive—delicious, generous portions, and a menu that caters to all ages. The atmosphere is charming and cozy, perfect for a relaxing meal. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. If you’re in the area, Le Petit Citron is a must-visit. We will definitely be back!

Good French restaurant in London, good food, quiet atmosphere and good prices, nothing cheap, but it is London.

It is a friendly and welcoming bistro, the service is friendly and professional. Everything we have tried, and almost the entire menu has been delicious. It's our favorite place in the neighborhood. Thanks to all the staff!

Service was amazing. Food was nothing less. I'm my view they have hit the right balance of good food, wine, service and atmosphere. Romantic or casual it does both well and classy 😉 def will be back...ps photos little blurry, had a few more 🍷

We had a stupendous family lunch at Le Petit Citron yesterday, ten of us in all. The table was most welcoming as we all arrived with the pre-ordered wine , large carafes of iced water with large sprigs of mint and Christmas crackers already on the table. Lovely hot baguette came while we settled in and waited for our starters. There was a wide selection from the very reasonably priced Christmas menu - and my terrine de campagne, Confit de Canard with delicious vegetables and the most excellent gratin dauphinois, and caramel and date sponge to die for could not have been bettered. The rest of my family all enjoyed their choices too. I can not recommend the food more highly and we were all beautifully and attentively taken care of. We will be back soon and urge anyone to take advantage of the Christmas menu in the next few days and enjoy this little corner of Provence in Hammersmith.

Brilliant food, amazing service

I came here for my team's Christmas lunch and while the food was excellent that's not waht made this place as great as it is. That goes down to the staff. Workign wit Emily to get this lunch sorted, getting orders in, changing things last minute (sorry!) were a breeze. On the day the whole team were attentive, friendly, and just lovely to engage with. Any place can offer a great food but it's the warmth of the weclome, the feeling relaxed and at home, and the abundance of just being friendly that makes this a joyous experience rather than 'just' a meal. Definitely recommend (and I'll be back!)

Just really great, unpretentious French cuisine!

Made a lovely effort for my birthday, including a birthday card and stamping the table with a stamp reading “joyeux anniversaire”. This was really different and special. The ambience of the restaurant was sincere and authentic. Onglet Butchers Cut steak with a sardine and caper sauce, rosemary frites and stunning side salad Tenderstem broccoli w aioli and lemon Their signature dessert named after the restaurant

Nice meal, pleasant evening, may well come back at some point. Bit too dear I thought for a brasserie-style meal however.

I loved the food, not a single crumb was left. I think this speaks for itself.
