We were looking for a hearty breakfast to set us up for our epic walk to Robin Hood's Bay and back. After a walk around the area and realising that some of the coffee shops we had googled didn't open till 10am ...we asked a local woman where she'd recommend. Without hesitation she said the Coliseum and directed us to it. Tucked away from the street we enter the Coliseum Centre. Serving breakfast to regulars, the menu is varied and it is spotlessly clean. My husband devoured the full english...perfectly cooked and delicious. I have scrambled eggs on brown toast and it is gorgeous. We love our coffee and the americanos are full flavoured. The staff are so attentive and friendly. We will definitely go back again.

We spotted the cafe at the end of our 8 mile walk and couldn’t be treated with a lovelier welcome and warm atmosphere. We had a yummy scone with jam and cream, sautéed mushrooms on toast and a delicious chicken and pesto sandwich. Couldn't have asked for better, would definitely recommend!!

Visited on a miserably wet Sunday but was cheered up tremendously by a pot of beautifully fresh prawns and a crayfish, salad and lemon mayo sandwich which was made while I waited. Plenty of fresh filling in lovely soft brown bread. Cost a little of £7 for both. Made my day and will definitely visit again ☺️

When I got a job at the ice cream parlour across the road I thought I’d try it out the prices are extremely reasonable and the food is delicious and the cook is a really nice person and very chatty as he is cooking your food it was definately a good experience and I bow for there for my lunch everyday 10/10 for everything

I visited this lovely little tea room with my grandson and was very impressed with the food and service. There was a great selection of cakes; I had the lemon cake which was delicious, and my grandson had the children's lunch bag. There were plenty of tables both inside and out. The tea was served in a proper china cup with teapot. Everywhere was clean. The service was wonderful. I would highly recommend a visit.

We came across Whitby Eat n Treats by accident - our usual place we use on a day visit was closed. We didn’t know WEaT was there. The staff were welcoming and polite. The surroundings were fresh, and the menu was extensive. We each chose a full breakfast (served all day), which were excellent and very reasonably priced. The service was good. The cafe is accessible to wheelchairs, and has a bathroom on the ground floor. We were very impressed and look forward to returning again. We could thoroughly recommend Whitby EatsnTreats - and certainly the full breakfast!

We don't live in Whitby and have learned that you must book a table a couple of weeks before you come or you might not get in. We have enjoyed two lovely meals here - lovely service, great chef. The confit duck starter tonight was fab. It is a small, intimate restaurant so never buzzing but we like it.
