With the skinner street shop being closed we visited the shop on Baxter gate. We were served with a delicious coffee accompanied by a naughty piece of cake. Plenty of choice on the menu and can also buy cakes and other baked goods from the shop at the front of the cafe

Bought lovely fresh cakes from shop / staff very helpful and smiling faces and attentive. However based on that experience we decided to go upstairs to tea room for lunch on a wet miserable day (Tuesday 9th July) a small queue - one couple in front of us - lady (supervisor?) behind the desk asked us if we had booked, my husband said no… She continued to prepare orders, help cashier who was clearly inexperienced at using til and completely ignored us and the couple waiting in front of us. The tearoom was not busy, lots of empty tables … she continued to prepare orders, we continued to wait, not a word to either of us 2 couples waiting to re-assure us she would get us seated! Having waited for over 10 minutes on a quiet day - I looked at my husband and said I was leaving and would find another establishment who I’m sure would welcome us and be happy for us to eat and spend our money with them. Bothams can take pride of your shop and staff but less can be said for how your tea room is managed …. Won’t be going there again !! Did not like her manner or attitude - maybe she needs further training in customer care !

We have eaten at the Hare and Hounds a number of times over the year’s and it never disappoints. The specials board is a must the staff are great and the atmosphere inviting and relaxing. You must go and try.

Escondido en una calle llena de carácter encontramos este café apropiado con una historia linda. Decoración para adaptarse a su ambiente peculiar que establece la escena. Atraídos por las diferentes opciones de menú para el desayuno junto con el... Absolutamente delicioso. Servicio amable. Un gran hallazgo.

Goats cheese tart lovely, and service was good, and generally expensive...... But £4.00 for 2 carrots... I will say no more🤔🙄

I’m sure it was good when it was open. Mid September it appears to be closed.

Comida y servicio increíbles. Anteriormente entró y ambos tenían pollo satay wrap para el almuerzo. Hermosamente presentado sabía maravilloso. Vine esta mañana a desayunar, desayuné burrito con salchicha extra, compañero había ahumado salmón con huevo revuelto. Todo perfecto. Servicio amable y rápido. Volveremos a visitar cuando volvamos

Mi esposa usa un andador. Nunca habíamos estado en la tienda de delicatessen antes, así que no estábamos seguros de cómo proceder. El personal nos ignoró por completo. Era como si no estuviéramos allí, o invisibles. ¡Incluso cuando salimos del Deli, ningún miembro del personal nos ofreció ningún reconocimiento!

Comida de buena calidad a precio justo. Lugar limpio. Muchas sillas. Cálido. El personal está bien y tomando órdenes rápidamente. No hay demora en que salga comida.

Si usted está buscando un buen bap de cerdo con salsa de manzana y relleno este es el lugar para usted. Tuvimos uno en nuestro primer día en Whitby y a la esposa le gustó tanto que consiguió uno unos días después. Así que un regular es £ 4 y grande es £ 4. 50 (en el momento de comprar) y es una de las mejores cosas que tuvimos que comer toda la semana. Así que llega temprano cuando se haya ido.

Fui a Siggy's fish and chips en Whitby Angel Yard Baxtergate, elegí un "pequeño" bacalao con papas fritas, por £ 8. 95, para llevar. Estaba recién hecho mientras esperaba, el personal era agradable y educado, y sabía muy bien. ¡Pero tened en cuenta que, a pesar del precio, el bacalao "pequeño" es muy pequeño!

Nice Hippy Goth vibe and style but the pastries a few weeks out of date and up-sold coffee all the taste of Mellow Birds. A place to show off middle class neck tattoos.

Approaching the window, you will enjoy the most exquisite and flavoursome of all ice creams. I have never tasted such a treat as good as this (and my vampyric palette is limited mostly to A+positive and similar claret beverages), coupled with the most personal and friendly service you will ever receive. Mr Trillo and his wonderful associates welcome all with open arms (especially those of a Gothic and Vampyric disposition). There are a number of locations and vehicles to enjoy the delights of Trillo's ice cream, so fear not, you are never far away from delight. My favourite being when the ice cream Land Rover parks very close to my crypt outside Whitby Abbey. Spectacular views will reward the senses, combined with ice-cream giving you a much needed treat for climbing the 199 steps. Mr Trillo, as always, I thank you for your wonderful service to the townsfolk, visitors and creatures of the night of wonderful Whitby. I shall see you soon...
