Amazing place! Great menu which caters for variety of intolerances. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Not easily impressed but this place is great.

Tuvimos un gran sábado por la noche en el Esk, un pequeño lugar lleno de bullicio, gran cerveza, música y pizza. Un hermoso hallazgo en un fin de semana en Whitby!

Excelente café, personal amable, consiguió una taza de cachorro para nuestro perro que estaba tan emocionado. La señora que servía era tan amable y hablador. Tengo un pequeño chocolate envuelto con nuestro café, que era un toque encantador

well we found rusty by a lucky chance we'll what can I say the staff are very friendly the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is so warm and .it's a qurkey place and the court yard is very inviting to sit in and dog friendly too.

On entry the waitress/server was very rude. The only vegan option was either a jacket potato and beans, or a vegan cheese sandwich with chutney or pickle. It came with a small salad, and coleslaw which isn't vegan. The waitress remained rude throughout ordering and delivering the food too. The decor and place itself is nice though

Volvimos a nuestro alojamiento esperando que la comida estuviera disponible. Nos sentamos en el jardín y tomamos una copa mientras miramos el menú y esperamos que el servicio de comida comience a las 5 pm. Nos ofrecieron una mesa aunque no habíamos reservado con antelación. El restaurante se llenó rápidamente y es obviamente un restaurante muy popular. Las chicas que servían eran todas amables y profesionales. Nuestra orden fue tomada rápidamente y la comida estaba con nosotros en aproximadamente 20 minutos - recién cocinado y agradable y caliente. Las comidas eran buenas y bien presentadas. Decidimos tener el plato de compartir de postre -era enorme pero logramos terminarlo entre nosotros : ) Fabulosa comida y sin duda recomendaría.

Delicious food and great service.

6 of us pre booked for tea was busy but we were seated no problem some confusion with order when it arrived mush peas were on a different plate and bread was missing tried to catch a member of staff but no joy advised when left and was removed from the bill. Food was good attention to detail was definitely missing not sure if it was our table but staff did not seem to look after us that well which was a shame. As the food was pretty good

Checked opening times on website walked 30 minutes and the place is closed 😡 not happy

Pasamos una tarde muy agradable en este bar buen vino que fue un cambio agradable normalmente la mayoría de los lugares el vino es como el vinagre mi marido tenía un poco de cervezas buen ambiente también tenían deliciosos pasteles y café en oferta, así como la comida que volvimos al día siguiente para un café que era muy bueno agradable personal amable no estaba demasiado ocupado, pero creo que eso se debió a la panadería y cafetería enfrente dar definitivamente volver la próxima vez que estemos en Whitby

Superb food , with excellent, friendly and helpful staff

We first went for a meal here in November and really enjoyed it, so returned for my son’s 18th. Unfortunately it didn’t meet the same standards tonight. The table wasn’t ready as there was a group of people still eating over their allotted time, however it was soon sorted. The starter of calamari was a bit chewy and stuck together. I ordered the seafood pasta which I had eaten before however the sauce was watery and bland. My husband had the lemon sole which is over priced, £35 for a piece of fish mainly bone with one oyster and no accompaniment. We were done in within an hour. Not what we had planned for such a special occasion.
