No54 Lounge Bar Bistro in Scarborough

Nice little place for a coffee, but quite a few judgemental eyes pointing our way from both customers and staff as we had a couple of rowdy, excited kids with us, which ruined the atmosphere for us and made our decision to eat elsewhere easier.

Nice food and nice venue, would have given 5 stars but when we walked in sat down at a table 3 young staff behind the counter never acknowledged us, had to retrieve a menu off them got told they would be over in a min for the order never came had to go back up to the counter ,, so all in all good cafe with nice food just service needs a little attention hopefully on my next visit I can give 5 stars

I had full English and my wife had toasted teacake. Excellent quality, couldn't fault it. Great atmosphere and very pleasant staff.

Found this on the off chance when we were looking for somewhere to have breakfast. It's quite small, but we managed to get a table with no problems. Lovely breakfast, all freshly cooked.

Really nice cafe, love how they go all out for halloween! Lovely cocktails and had a 10/10 bacon sandwich.

Just popped in for a tea and coffee. The tea was OK, the coffee had no flavour at all and my wife couldn't finish it. The staff were pleasant though.

Only popped in for a drink so cannot comment on the quality of the food but the drinks were lovely and very reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere, well worth popping in for a drink. Highly recommended.

The coffee was lovely, smooth and strong. The atmosphere and decor is great! So different and quirky, a hidden gem.

Discovered this little gem while on holiday for a week and will definitely make it one of our happy places :-) amazing decor (we were there in December so all very christmassy) we have 2 dogs so sat outside but were soon ushered inside by the lovely girls who work there who told us to bring them in and get warm thank you NO54 xx

Great little place. Good selection of food and snacks. Staff were great. Really relaxed atmosphere while we were there.

A lovely quirky bistro. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxing (we went on a weekday early evening).The food was very good. My husband had the cheeseburger, which he said was one of the best he'd had (must have been good as we went back the next night and he ordered the same again). I had the halloumi kebab, nice generous portions of halloumi, red pepper and onion, served with coleslaw, green salad, tomatoes, red onion and red peppers, delicious. Plenty of beverages to choose from, hot and cold, alcoholic and non alcoholic and a delicious selection of cakes. Would highly recommend.

So disappointed, ordered drinks and food. The food took so long we had to order more drinks and the food was burnt on the outside and raw inside. Staff apologised but did not suggest replacing it, an email to No54 bistro was ignored - I hope we were just unlucky!

We loved this bar. Nice central location, cool interiors and laid back atmosphere, from breakfasts ( small English a delight) , ice cool frappes mid afternoon and evening cocktails. Excellent quality fare and friendly service

Excellent customer service and Dog Friendly.

Popped in for a cuppa and a little rest and recuperation a little after 6pm on a Saturday. We sat at the back of the establishment on the wing back chairs, which were very comfortable. Our drinks were brought to us, which we were very grateful for after an afternoon of gift shopping. Most of the coffee shops and café's had already closed and all other pubs were very busy and noisy, but although there was music playing in the background and there were some other patrons in this establishment, it more than suited our needs, as my daughter has invisible disabilities and needs time out from busy/noisy environments to recharge her 'spoons'

Lovely watering hole we've found, pleasant staff, not too loud, a bit off the beaten track at the quieter end of Whitby, but make the effort for reasonable priced drinks, nice ambience and good decor.

Lovely caramel cookie dough dessert but the latte was watery and the flat white was more like a frothy cappuccino. We were only in the area for an hour and chose this place, which meant we had to do without enjoying a proper cup of coffee. Decent if you're not really into coffee, for sure. Quite similar to Greggs around the corner. If you're going to get a drink wrong though, don't make it the Flat White as it's so obvious. Perhaps it's from a machine. Sorry to be harsh but a good coffee is expected from places that look upmarket and we'll designed like this place.

Great little street bar this. V.Good cocktail menu. Staff were friendly and helpful. Seemed senisble on price. Small out door seating as well. Good location easy to get on foot. Would definately recommend.

Ordered a capachino but asked for hot milk with it had to pay 30pence extra.....? Disgusting!!!

Always call in to no54 bistro bar when in whitby we were the first people to try there breakfast only had the normal but they due a small and a large me and my wife fort it was a very beautiful breakfast and would recommend it

A new place to eat and drink in Whitby well worth a visit, the only downside for me was I'm a beer drinker and only had bottle, but they did have 2 larger on draft and hopefully in the future they may get a draft beer, I will definitely call again.

Me and my husband came to Whitby for the day and found NO54 as we were walking through so decided to go for lunch there. The bar itself is really cute, the food and services was great and I had the best iced coffee there! Definitely try the Biscoff iced coffee if you go - so good.

Great for a relaxing coffee or drink

I was put offa bit when I first entered the cafe as the gentleman had his back to me making drinks but never acknowledged me.Eventually he finished and apologised for the wait. I decided to treat myself to afternoon tea and it was amazing more than enough for two so finished taking some with me for later. I would definitely call again next time I am in Whitby

This is the best cafe in Whitby, I cannot stress how kind and nice and helpful the staff are. Me and my brother usually, because of our tattoos, mine on face, get either watched or made to feel so uncomfortable we leave, but here we were welcomed, had a lot of banter with the staff and were made to feel at home. They are basically awesome. They are not the cheapest but they are definitely the best. Oh and I will miss you beautiful till I come back, smiles.

Coldest Moretti in Whitby! Fab, friendly staff and the owners are so accommodating. Lots of great advice about the area. Amazing homemade cakes and they plan to do food soon. Highly recommended!

Lovely coffee shop, very nice staff and good menu. Luxury hot chocolate is really good. I would recommend that you give the place a try.
