Tea Rooms at Stained Glass Centre in Scarborough

We booked a table on line and it worked perfectly. Free parking, the atmosphere was nice, lovely location, relaxing, nice breakfast, hot coffee, clean tables, chairs and cutlery, clean toilets, friendly staff. Nice gift shop. We will definately be back.

Have been several times her for tea/coffee's, sometimes with snacks and lunches. Nearly always fairly busy and had to wait a short while to be seated at a table. Been when fine, but cooler, and seated outside in a covered area with heaters, making it very comfortable out of season. that is how popular it is all seasons.

Had a lovely time staff go out of their way to help you food is absolutely perfect plus have good selection of gluten free and browsing the glass ware in the shop brilliant

This lovely tea room is next to the Stained Glass workshop in Killerby Lane, Cayton, near Filey. It has a very good selection of home made cakes etc.

Lovely little shop with an amazing cafe (fantastic cakes mmm) visited a few times and would definitely go back. Well worth a visit if your in the area Another visit and another great experience 👍 this time I went for the machiatto and a cheese scone . Could not decide if the scone was made while we waited as it was that fresh and warm it tasted like it was fresh out of the oven

An Aladdins cave full of extraordinary stained glassware, from lampshades, ornamental pieces, jewellery & much more, all created to a very high standard. There is also an excellent tearoom/cafe on the premises, where I think it may be wise to book ahead on a weekend. First class!

Lovely place. All dresses for Christmas 🎄 busy too which shows how good it is Booked to go here for festive afternoon tea & could not fault it & the staff were excellent too. Highly reccommend.

We went there for breakfast in the Cafe. Absolutely delicious. And all the stained glass stuff in the shop looked nice too.

We thought we would be able to see the process but wee disappointed and the person on the till in the shop wouldn't even acknowledge me so we looked at the lovely glass work and came away .

Excellent little find whilst in the area and searching for somewhere to eat. Lovely clean, well furnished medium sized café tearooms adjoining a stained glass retail outlet. We visited about 11.45am on Sunday and it was very busy, clearly without a booking you’d be lucky to get a table much after this time and obviously very popular with locals. We enjoyed sandwiches and coffee for a light lunch. I had coronation chicken my wife had a toasted had a cheese sandwich. These came with plentiful side salad and a portion of coleslaw and was en excellent portion of food in total, well presented and tasty. The young staff were efficient and polite. The cafe does have outside tables some with cover and we did see dog owners in this area but not in the restaurant area. A very well maintained garden which is clearly somebody’s love and joy and this would be a lovely place to eat on warmer weather days. All In all a very good experience and would visit again if in the area and would definitely recommend to other visitors to the area or locals.

Sollte man gesehen haben. Sehr schöne und filigrane Handwerksarbeit. Zum Teil sehr preiswert, aber es kann auch schnell teuer werden. Aber es ist schon sehr verlockend. Nicht zu verachten ist das angeschlossene Café. Köstliche Kuchen, guter Kaffee und das was ich an warmen Speisen gesehen habe, sah verdammt lecker aus

Went for breakfast. Very dog friendly and even cooked a sausage for my pooch! Staff were lovely and the glassware was beautiful. We brought more away than we took. We will definitely return .

Great little find the shop is excellent and the food is lovely, will definitely visit again when on the east coast.

We called in on passing. We were only stopping for a cuppa but the menu caught our eye and we ordered 2 breakfasts, tweaked to our liking with no issues. I can honestly say that this was the tastiest breakfast ever. Every item cooked perfectly and every mouthful was delicious. It was savoured not rushed. Upon leaving we purchased some cheese scones. Unfortunately they were dry and quite tasteless. But I can definitely recommend the breakfast.

Beautiful place, easy to find, well signposted. Fabulous gardens. Shop goods were lovely & well priced. Food was overpriced, husband said his cake was disappointing, ditto my scone, which was very dry. Put off by lots of flies around in the cafe. Wouldn't go back.

Tearooms in a beautiful setting, we sat out in the garden, in the sunshine under an umbrella offering some welcome shade, eating quiche & delicious cake, drinking tea, then had a wander around the shop looking at the wonderful stained glass creations, we bought some unusual glass earrings at an affordable price, it was a lovely afternoon treat, we will go back again

Hidden gem. We had our kids playing the futgolf whilst we enjoyed a lovely meal. It was packed, but very fast service. Beautiful little spot with a glass shop attached. Deffo will go again.

Did the Hankerchief Tea Light course this afternoon followed by an Afternoon Tea. Very very highly recommended. The course was fun, informative and a great couple of hours with some lovely ladies and excellent host / teacher Emma. The Afternoon Tea was lovely - best scones around (and I’ve tried most!) If you have an afternoon spare ….. You can’t go wrong with a visit to the Glass Stained Centre. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a super time.

Popular cafe and some nice stained glass - well worth a look

Love this place. We stayed B&B some 20 years ago and had the best breakfast ever. We revisited recently for lunch and, unbelievably, it has improved even more! The food was excellent. The staff were friendly. And the stained glass shop was fabulous. They even made our dog welcome. We certainly won't be leaving it another 20 years before we visit again.

Nice shop selling glass items and gifts including jewelry. Had coffee in the cafe and a walk around the lovely garden.

Went for afternoon tea with friends. Enjoyed 2 hours of laughter.

Stight change from the last time I was on there, in that they have extended the eatery. A change of staff who were efficient but could have been a little more friendlier and need to smile a bit more. No repartee. Descent coffee though.

Lovely little workshop, gallery, shop, and cafe. Shows how stained glass is constructed into ornaments as well as useful objects, mirrors,lampshades, firesurrounds, etc. A small shop then sells the items from coasters to chandeliers, from diffusers to Xmas baubles. Well worth a visit, but it is only small. The cafe does some very satisfying meals and sandwiches at very reasonable prices. Seating is indoors cafe style or out in the garden at large wooden tables under parasols. The centre also does residential stays where you can make your own glassware,have it fired, and take home with you. Again, only small but fascinating.

If you love stained glass this is the place for you.

This place is a nice chilled area to eat and relax. Train came past very close whilst we were there but not an issue just slightly loud for a few seconds. Great products on the shelves too.

Fantastic afternoon tea and very good value for money! Excellent gluten free options, with egg, tuna and ham sandwiches. Well worth the visit id you're looking for gift, at reasonable prices.

Just been here for lunch had a soup & a roll was delicious lovely surroundings staff friendly prices ok I would recommend this place for the quality of the food doesn’t seem as much to buy in their shop as they used to be got parked easily but filled up as we were leaving will visit again

Beautiful garden, lovely good, plenty of space and parking. The stained glass shop is worth a visit too, if you like knick knacks and stained glass mirrors, lamps etc... It was gloriously sunny when we visited on our way to Scarborough...

An absolute treat to visit this place. The cafe is first class with plenty of delicious choices to suit every taste. The gardens are immaculate and if you require a gift, you have the added pleasure of browsing the gorgeous pieces for sale.

Service was ok, however.. 2 major issues. Firstly we were served mouldy bread with our starters! Secondly Scones were served still frozen! Maybe we were just really unlucky… but the fact this happened in one visit really worries me!

Visited tea rooms after a workshop class. We had afternoon which is one of the best I’ve ever had! Everything was home made and delicious. Will be visiting Staff are totally amazing

This place is an hidden gem, worth taking a look ,not your usual tea room ,but the Afternoon tea is exquisite

Nice food. Seating very low. Very noisy due to the low ceiling. Very slow service. We waited 1/2 hr to be asked if we wanted a dessert. Out dirty plates didn't get cleared away. We didn't even get asked if we wanted anything else?¡. So the four of us left feeling let down. We then drove to a nearby supermarket to buy some cake for dessert. It Is a Very busy place. We have been before and enjoyed it but this time the service let them down.

First, Do book as this place is very popular and with good reason. The food and drinks are super, the cakes and scones in particular and the service is excellent. We've visited on several occasions and have never been disappointed with what we've had, but when it's full, and there's no tables available, then you'll regret not having booked in advance. Superb to sit outside in the garden when the weather allows.

Very busy when I visited the cafe, of course it's very popular but staff kept leaving the door open (chilly day) as they took out various orders through the French doors! (Close to our table)

Brilliant food here, milkshakes are best in the area in my opinion. Cake and fab sandwiches with great garden.

Today my family (still shielding from covid) and I visited the centre for a coaster making session. The team were very understanding of our situation and did everything they could to make our experience as comfortable and as safe as possible. We really appreciate the efforts of all the staff, and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thank you all so much!

First time we have been. Definitely going to visit again. They were very busy and fitted just the two of us in the cafe. Will phone and book a table next time.

It was recommended to me and we went for afternoon tea. It was easy to find and there was a large car park. The shop and tea room are beautiful and there is a very picturesque garden. Although they were really busy the service was still very prompt. The standard afternoon tea was very generous, 3 different sandwiches , 2 types of quiche, scone with clotted cream and lovely jam, cookies, a large piece of cake each and tea. They even offered us more tea. The downside was that they didn't offer us a choice of cake or quiche. The price was very reasonable too and we intend to go again.

It's a lovely little place for coffee, lite meals, great cakes and of course a browse around the stained glass shop.
