Lovely lunch today with our grandchildren who are under 5. Staff were very friendly and helpful getting a highchair and suitable table for the 5 of us. Lovely sandwiches and cake and a lovely menu. I was even able to have some lovely gluten free sandwiches and cake. We asked for different sandwiches than offered on the menu for my grandson in picnic bag. They were happy to provide Tuna for him. Very busy which proves it's a popular café. Definitely going to come again when we are in Whitby

We went to the cafe for lunch. We had visited before and knew they did delicious sandwiches and cakes and we were not disappointed. I had a goats cheese, beetroot and chilli jam roll and it was absolutely yummy and it came served with a few crisps and delicious coleslaw. The tiffin I had to follow was very moreish too.

On arrival we were given a very friendly welcome and explanation of the various items on the menu. The venue was exceptionally clean and tidy and had a tea room charm about it with lots of various cakes on display. The cheese scone with cheese spread and chutney was delicious as was the large tea cake with butter and jam. The coffee was excellent. The prices very reasonable.

Stop in and have a welcoming break. Prices were very reasonable and the food (at least the scone with strawberries and cream) mouthwatering. That combined with a fresh pot of tea served with a smile. Possibly need a larger room as the word has got around and the place was full. Thank you ladies.

We popped in for a snack whilst visiting the Museum(that's well worth a visit too). There's a good varied menu, soups etc. We had cheese scones with cream cheese + chutney which were delicious + just something a little bit different. Talking of different, the Bogglehob cake is a must! Again, it's something a bit different, fruity with a hint of spice, absolutely mouth watering, served warm with butter. My tea was made with loose tea and not tea bags, an added bonus. The cafe is spotlessly clean with an Alice in Wonderand theme and the 2 ladies serving are lovely + friendly.

This is downstairs in the new part of the museum. Clean, bright and nicely decorated with an Alice In wonderland theme and the tea and coffee is good. They do basic lunch-type food and they also have some very nice cakes. The prices are reasonable too. Well worth a visit and if you're in the museum anyway even more so as you can go here, have a break and then carry on looking around.

Called for a coffee and cake after going round the museum and art gallery. Cafetiere of coffee with hot milk, fruit cake and cheese and a Strawberry & cream scone went down very well. Really friendly and welcoming! Hope to go back.

I now regularly use this “mad hatter themed” tearoom. Whether combining with a visit to the museum or not it’s well worth trying. If your a visitor to Whitby and only wanting the tea room entrance is free you do not have to pay the £5 museum entry fee. The choice of home made Fayre offered by Pippa and her friendly and welcoming team makes for lovely light lunches and of course for a good tea room delightful home made cakes and scones. On my last visit 12/12/2018 I had the crimbo cake served just as it should be with Wensleydale cheese. As a nice touch there are some lovely “Alice” themed gifts for sale unique and reasonably priced. For Alice fans this tea room is a Whitby must visit!!!!

The staff were very proud of working there. Food was home made with whatever was in season and generally from their allotment. I enjoyed an excellent pumpkin soup followed by sticky toffee pudding. The food was all beautifully presented too. prices were reasonable. The platters could have the usual bread rolls swapped for gluten free ones and they also serve gluten free cakes.

Ate lunch here last week and was not disappointed , we had the Soup of the Day - Beetroot which was absolutely delicious. A lovely cup of soup in dainty china cups and a great selection of cakes , not just the usual bog standard selection but some really unique choices. The lady who served us was friendly and helpful. The museum is a great place to visit and lunch here an absolute must for the perfect outing.

So glad we made a visit here while in Pannet Park as the cakes were so delicious as were the scones. The decor and the feel of the place were from the Mad Hatters Tea Party, and lovely little nik naps were displayed which you could purchase. Also Alice In Wonderland themed birthday cards were on display to purchase. Very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

After looking through the museum we were presently surprised to come across an Alice in Wonderland themed tea room hiding underneath. The amazing staff, hot chocolate in jugs and cakes to die for, make this the best tea and cake shop in Whitby.

By the time we had walked up "that bloody hill", we were in dire need of refreshments. The tearoom is quite small but set out with displays of beautiful china. The toasted tea cake came with jam. Mine was cherry, to which I have an allergic reaction, and the staff could not have been more helpful and found me some delicious strawberry jam instead. It is a relaxing place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea. Quite old fashioned and all the more enjoyable for that.

We fell across this lovely café/tea room within the Pannet Park museum and we were really pleased we did. The ladies serving are lovely and engaging and the cakes are to die for (keep up the good work ladies). We felt so at home we visited again a couple of days later. The décor is bright and the room itself is spotless. We will be visiting again next time in Whitby.

This is a lovely place to eat. Everything is home made, even the chutney ,which was amazing. I would recommend the cheese scones and the really wonderful hazelnut meringues, full of hazelnut cream and hazelnuts sprinkled on top. The service was very good and it made you feel special. You do need to get a ticket from the museum to walk through to the tea room without paying to enter the museum, it is really worth a visit.

We visited the museum on Friday morning and while there visited the tea rooms.homemade scones with homemade jam were a delight .a generous pot of coffee and tea.staff were very helpful and friendly.we will definitely be back.the only thing I would say negative would be its a little on the small side for the number of tables.

Nice little recently opened tea rooms in the museum building (free entry to the tea rooms) with fresh ground coffees, tasty cakes and snacks and kids meals-in-a-bag,away from the hustle of the busy cafes in the more tourist frequented areas. The park and kids play area is also great and the art gallery and museum are good too ,if that's your thing !

My wife and I visited after seeing a sign scribbled on a chalk board during the day. It's an innovative little pop-up based in the vaults under Scarborough Market Hall, where there are craft and vintage shops by day. Manned by owner Paul who is very knowledgeable and chatty, we were treated to some superbly kept wines in a quietly informal atmosphere. It's a far cry from the hoi-polloi and bustle of Scarborough drinking holes, and one which must be prized. Top work, we'll be back.

Very nice place, not the cheapest, but spotless, did notceat but saw the food and portions looked good as did presentation, but for some reason for us it just felt a little flat.
