Great place to go for a relaxed independant cafe. Great selection of good quality food all homemade and homemade bread too.

As a chef with 30 years of high-end catering experience, I've got to give it to this establishment, the food and the service is top notch. Even though the chefs are young, they show pure skill in the kitchen. I truly can not give enough applause for the food that is served within the facility. All food is made fresh, and the portions are very generous, and the chefs are fantastic at experimenting with flavours, which makes this place one to visit. As for the service staff, you can't ask for a friendlier bunch that are willing to above and beyond. All in all, this is most definitely a facility you need to visit. It doesn't matter if your Bob, the builder, or someone's granny, get your backside in there pronto. Rating scale: 10/10

Absolutely amazing little cafe, came in here this lunchtime and had an absolutely fantastic daal and homemade bread. Would really strongly recommend to anyone in Scarborough!

Delicious food, great flavours, lots of attention to detail.

Called in NSK earlier this year in March and loved it then, said we would be back next time in Scarborough, called in today for a bite to eat. This is a little gem of a place from service to the quality of food and drink even a bowl of water for our puppy Mabel. A great team works here with such a friendly outlook and a positive attitude in what they are doing. Please give them a visit as small independent businesses need us to keep them going. You won’t regret it.

We visited for breakfast, it was all cooked to order, the staff were really friendly and the food was excellent. We had our baby in a pram, and whilst there are only a few tables downstairs, there was space for the pram. I love that you can see into the clean and busy kitchen, it’s a shame we were too full from breakfast to try one of the delicious looking scones!

We enjoyed an delicious breakfast here. I would recommend this place to my best friends. Quality of ingredients is top notch. Cooking is perfect. Service is fast friendly and efficient. I wouldn't change a thing. Just sorry I didn't take photos.

Scarborough is fast becoming the coastal gourmet capital of Yorkshire. Okay, you might have to kiss a lot of frogs there but any inconvenience is well rewarded when you stumble upon a Prince. NSK is such a prince. I confess that the dish I particularly enjoy routinely prevents me from exploring the entire menu but I will try harder to do just that, promise! There is a north African and Mediterranean fusion going on here. The haloumi salad is simply sublime, IMHO and, more importantly, it's consistent. Good value, good coffee great staff. Thank you! Update June '24 10 stars. They just get better and better: Carefully selected menu of top quality food that is consistently at a high standard; and in my book that is worth a great deal.

Fantastic food, we went for breakfast on our visit to Scarborough. Pictured is the belly pork and the sausage on sourdough. Absolute top quality. I also had the avocado on sourdough with salsa that was lovely. Flat White was perfect, great quality and strong. Service was great, nice and friendly waitress, attentive despite it being very busy. Small delay on food but understandable considering how busy it was. Price was ok and excellent value for money, we've payed more money for this quality of food in bigger cities.

We visited the North Street Kitchen, on a day out in Scarborough. The food is amazing! The service was fantastic, our waitress was lovely, and very friendly and accommodating. My husband and son in law had the full English breakfast and my daughter and I had the mushroom and cheese toasted sandwich. It was incredible, tasty homemade food. I have recommended the North Street Kitchen to family and friends. We'll definitely be visiting again-hopefully very soon.

What an absolute hidden gem North Street Kitchen is. From the minute I arrived to the minute I left, the service was first class. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The latte was probably the smoothest one I’ve ever had and the food was out of this world. Next time I’m in Scarborough I’ll definitely be returning and trying another one of their exquisite dishes!

Whilst the staff were lovely the time we waited for drinks was far too long given there was only 3 customers in the cafe. That being said the drinks were lovely and the sour dough toast was beautiful

Visited this place again today for lunch/brunch and again we were pleased with everything; service, food, toilets, dog friendlyness. We will be back.

I attended yesterday for the Italian Little Plates evening and let me tell you my friends, I was astounded. Absolutely STUPENDOUS. Pork Belly to start, well cooked well seasoned, crunchy yet still that beautiful moistness to the pork. Absolutely divine little coriander dressing. Followed by the Aubergine Parmigiana, which was sensational. Gorgeous aubergine with a wonderful think and rich ragu, broken up by a fantastically refreshing slice of Mozzarella. I didn’t think those two dishes could be beaten. But then out came the Brasato Donuts, 3 Peroni battered chunks of Ox cheek which had been cooked for 24 hours in a bath of red wine. In 38 & 1/2 years, this dish was up there with the best I’ve ever eaten. The batter was crisp and refreshing, the ox cheek fell to pieces in your mouth and the bourgignonesqe sauce was rich and to die for. I could have eaten 3 more. A superb evening with a talented group of people. I sincerely hope more of these evenings occur. Love, Big Pierre

As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. The service was perfect throughout and the food spot on. This place is a little different from the average cafe, aiming for a more contemporary feel, which they certainly achieve.

Food, quality and services was exceptional. Staff were friendly and responsive. The atmosphere was lovely.

Found this place by chance. It was busy but they found us a table with a warm welcome. Service was prompt and friendly and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. NSK, veggie NSK, and Avo Rojo. Can't fault this place, highly recommended

I had a good feeling about this place while walking past and the toastie menu tempted me in. I wasn't disappointed, we ordered lovely coffees followed by three of the toasties from the menu which we shared, all of us vanquished them all, no complaints and the service, as always, makes the experience a five-star. It put me in such a good mood, my wife and I ordered a gin and tonic at lunchtime!! Also delicious

Went a few weeks ago while in Scarborough for the day. Only had a light snack of toast with tea and a coffee, but the bread was delicious. It has a nice sit-in atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely visit again.

We popped in as we walked past and thought it looked “nice” …. That was an understatement… it was excellent. Lovely friendly service, cracking coffee and the best Reubens I’ve had for years.

Make sure you have your lunch here if you are in Scarborough. We had a Portobello mushroom toastie and the salmon sandwich and both were outstanding Washed down with a nice beer, could not have been better And the service is prompt and very, very friendly

Away from home on a wet Wednesday in Scarborough and we found this place. What a gem! Modern imaginative menu with the best wine choices i've seen per glass. Pork belly salad and the Halloumi salad were fantastic and the service too. Well done to the team and we look forward to our next visit to the town.

We popped in over a rainy lunchtime and so glad we did! We couldn’t fault the service, staff were attentive but not over the top. The food was amazing; the most difficult part was picking what we were going to eat. The coffee was amazing, lovely and strong. We couldn’t fault the food and would highly recommend the cheese scones.

Myself and my partner have visited north street kitchen twice now and my partner has visited a third time on his own and all I can report back saying is WOW! Greeted with a smile, and the smell of freshly baked bread was beautiful. We have had off of the menu the breakfast and a sandwich which was cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was great, and the service even better! No complaints from us and we will most certainly be back to try more of the freshly cooked food that the chefs provide. Keep up the great work boys!

Great food, friendly service, nice place overall. Dog friendly, BUT... I didn't want to be the first who gave less than 5 stars, but the tables and floor were filthy - covered in food crumbs and stains. Didn't want to use my fork once I had put it on the table and our dog needed constant supervision because the floor buffet was too tempting. We'd love to go back for the food but can't cope with how filthy it was.

Honestly one of the best Brunch spots I have ever been too. The staff are friendly, polite and very welcoming. The food menu is diverse and has a wide range to cater for everyone. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun - perfect for our Sunday morning visit in the Scarborough sunshine. We ordered the eggs with bacon and the bacon and brie toasty; both were absolutely perfect and the attention to detail on the portions was impressive. We don’t normally do many trip advisor reviews but the service, food and staff were all so top drawer we had no option but to spend time leaving one. We travelled from afar to visit here and really look forward to coming back. Good luck to the new small business and to anyone thinking of popping in, do - you won’t be disappointed!

We had breakfast at NSK today and it absolutely blew us away. The service, atmosphere and food are out of this world. It even has a lovely seating area upstairs that more than doubles the capacity so even though it looked busy through the window there was plenty of space!

Can’t fault the food and coffee - BUT if I was pressed to find any issues they would be with the environment. I love the open kitchen, but the acoustics, mirrors and lack of space for people to move around make it quite an uncomfortable place to be in. I think if the table sizes were reduced, rearrangement of furniture, the outdoor seating area expanded in the summer and noise dampening/better speakers were fitted, that could go some way to remedying this. Not a massive deal though. Fantastic restaurant, everyone should go. I’ll recommend to everyone.

Myself, a friend and my son visited this new cafe in Scarborough last week and what can I say.. The coffee was amazing and unlike anything I have tried in town before. The service was absolutely fantastic and efficient and the food was exceptionally good considering the price and quality. Will definitely be back, Keep up the good work 😁

This place is just what Scarborough needs. We ate here today, Turkish eggs (like a Shakahuka) with toasted sour dough (the best bread we’ve eaten in a long time) and sourdough topped with devilled avocado, poached eggs and lots of other scrummy things. Friendly service on arrival and clearly a superb chef who cooked food to order in front of you. The food is sensational; if you don’t want spicy there’s lots of other choices including a lovely sounding rarebit and cakes and scones. Make no mistake though, this isn’t your average cafe offering boring sandwiches and cakes, it is a carefully thought out fresh menu that we loved and great value too! We’ll be back ….. (If you put the business on Trip Advisor we’ll review you there too, it’s that good!)

What a beautiful place, seating downstairs and up, lovely place to watch the world go by. Coffee is very good and the hot chocolate is devine!! The CLUB is absolutely gorgeous, I had mine with halloumi and it was cooked really well on beautiful bread. Staff were polite and friendly. Highly recommended this place. Will definitely be back.

Amazing place for brunch/lunch, will be our new regular spot! The coffee is lovely, food is fantastic - I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and it was delicious, and my partner had the NSK breakfast - both great quality, perfect portions and at very reasonable prices. Staff are so friendly and accommodating, the venue is really relaxing and cosy, and they’re dog friendly. Great work guys, we will be back!
