The Farrier in Scarborough

Very nice place, not the cheapest, but spotless, did notceat but saw the food and portions looked good as did presentation, but for some reason for us it just felt a little flat.

Our third visit to The Farrier restaurant and bar, and they continue to provide good quality food and service! Very friendly and welcoming staff, we will be back soon

Our second wonderful stay at The Farrier this year. Consistency is the key to quality and the team of staff at The Farrier make this possible. Welcoming us back with warmth and friendly hospitality made our wedding anniversary feel very special. The attention to detail in the rooms, and throughout the whole building are incredible. The food is just amazing, fresh local ingredients transformed into beautiful well balanced flavoursome dishes, presented with care and skill. The breakfast choice is superb and cooked to order, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are beautifully appointed, beds huge and comfortable and the housekeeping staff brilliant at making you feel comfortable. Even the quality of the sound system and playlists are excellent throughout the bar and restaurant areas. The Cocktail bar and new veranda are fantastic places to relax and chat over a drink or two. Danni and her team of devoted staff are building an incredible experience and a magical place to stay. Book early!

A beautiful venue, with lovely decor and very comfy! Staff were very solicitous! The iced latte was delicious! I perused the menus and the meals looked delicious, especially the macaroni cheese with truffle oil and Porcini mushrooms! I'll be back!

Outstanding. The attention to detail was such a surprise. We stayed in Warhorse and they had thought of everything. From the pillows, that were lovely (unusual for a hotel now) to the dressing table where you could sit with a light and mirror to comfortably do your make up. Everything in the room was amazing quality, from the fan to the TV and sound bar. Fabulous. There was even a good quality coffee machine and proper milk in the fridge - no UHT here! Then dinner, service, quality and food top notch. I loved it, and I rarely say that. Breakfast was equally good. Unusual for me to say I would go back, but here definitely I will. Thank you!

Our friend booked this as a surprise for my mum's birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience! We were warmly welcomed by a lovely young girl who escorted us to our table, which had a birthday card and a handwritten welcome and happy birthday sign. The decor is wonderful and very unique, with charming small details everywhere. We were served by a team of delightful ladies who ensured my dietary needs were met with great care, especially the lady who frequently checked with the kitchen for me. I greatly appreciated her attention to detail. The sausage and mash was exceptional—perfectly seasoned. Even though we were full, we couldn't resist dessert. The dark chocolate mousse and raspberry sorbet was to die for! Our meal was perfectly complemented by refreshing iced lemon water and two glasses of rose prosecco. Thank you for a wonderful visit. We will definitely be back again!

We celebrated my sisters 50th birthday in The Enclosure private dining room. We cannot rate the experience highly enough! The service, the room, the cocktails, the food was amazing. We would recommend The Farrier as the perfect venue for a celebration and would like to thank ALL the staff for an unforgettable evening. Superb.

Had been in the Filey area visiting friends and having some time to kill I Decided to try the Farrier myself today for a meal at lunchtime. Heard had very good things about this place and it really does live upto All expectations- beautiful throughout and spotless inside - this has got to Be one of the best restaurants in the area by far- superb food and service And they do accommodation as well- sort of place you go for special events All the staff were delightful but credit to Becki who served me - she was lovely Hope I spelt the name correctly 🙏

Visited on Saturday for my partners 60th. Friends booked as lm.not local and they've been before. I rang afterwards to see if it was okay to bring a cake as it was a 60th. Off the back of just that we ended up in a private room, which was excellent as was the food and service. Couldn't fault anything at all. The bill was twice what ld normally pay, but fantastic value for money given how great everything was. Wouldn't hesitate to go there again when next in the area. The only downer was the guy in front of me paying who handed over £61 to pay his £61.94 bill and then told the member of staff she could keep the change. I thought he was joking but he was serious!!! A local tight @rse !!!!

Well what can I say…..this is and was by far the best accommodation we have ever stayed in …..not only was the room exemplary in every detail ; the staff were also exemplary in everything they did. Unfortunately I did not get the name of every member of staff but in particular a huge thank you to our breakfast chef, dinner chefs, all the girls, Becky, Kelly to name a couple (apologies but can’t remember the names of you all! ) but everyone was amazing! Rooms were just perfect with everything thought about. We cannot praise this place any higher. We did not plan on eating in the restaurant every evening but we did as the food was wonderful. Do not change anything Dani you are running a perfect “ship” with the most wonderful team! We will be back without a doubt

Just been here whilst on holiday at anchor bay holiday village . Everything was excellent from the staff to the food and the cocktail bar . Even welcomed our little dog .

Booked well in advance for my birthday knowing how quickly they get booked. Had the whole upstairs room which catered for about 40 of us. Ambience, food, service, all impeccable. I also call in solo walking my dogs, on days off and have lunch with friends wherever possible. Never fails to disappoint whatever the occasion.

Following mum and dad's small famlly wedding, we were booked into the Farriers for our evening meal! They sat us in the Enclosure, which we had all to ourselves! It was perfect! The surroundings and outdoor seating area were fantastic with the cosy fire pits!! The meal we had was amazing! The staff couldn't do enough for us! I was lucky enough to celebrate my 50th birthday at the Farrier, upon arrival we went upstairs for a drink. Which was a lovely start. We then got taken to our table to find that they had given us the private room which was a lovely touch. The food was all really nice, great service and great atmosphere I would highly recommend the place.

We haven't stayed here, just eaten in the restaurant. We had lunch for the first time last year and an evening meal last Saturday for my Stepson's 18th Birthday. The staff went above and beyond for us. The food was great both times and the service fabulous. We would highly recommend eating here, it's a real treat.

Such a beautiful place. Exceptional quality in every respect. Our room exceeded expectations with such attention to detail. Great food, great service, friendly hard working owner and staff. Looking forward to our next visit.

We were only here for breakfast, but even then we would have expected much more from a restaurant with this reputation. The service was poor, only friendly to the hotel guests and when we ordered only two dishes from the menu, one of them was incorrectly noted. The warm breakfast was also mediocre, most things were bought half-finished and only fried, almost nothing was “homemade” and the taste was only mediocre. At least the food will certainly be better for lunch or dinner here, but this breakfast experience was poor, for the first time for us after several weeks of eating out on holiday in England. With this service we wouldn't come back at lunchtime or in the evening. The price including drinks and cereal, fruit and sweets from the buffet was fair.

Fabulous B & B, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, rooms furnished to five star, breakfast and evening meals first class, this is my UK holiday my happy place, highly recommend

Farriers five stars once again friendly staff. Food was amazing. Very warm and welcoming massive selection of different drinks and what I like best is a small menu not overpowering.

Lovely pub with beautiful interior. Smart but comfortable and absolutely immaculate. Lunch was delicious, would definitely go back. It was a miserable day but in Summer I would think the outside terrace would be great.

We watched 4 in a Bed ( TV Program ) and saw how The Farrier wine the award for best B@B We called in for a coffee and had a look at the menu ( we were hooked ) the staff were 5*+ the quality of food was 5*+ and the building was also 5*+ We can truly say we will be returning when we come back up to North Yorkshire in November. I’ve ran a Motorcycle Training Scheme in Sheffield for over 4 decades with over 400 5* reviews and so I recognise the importance of looking after customers. The Farrier deserves all the praise. Had a fab lunch here. Atmosphere is lovely and considered. Staff super friendly and attentive. We had the truffle mac and cheese and the fish finger sandwich. Would recommend 10/10. Delicious alcohol cocktails available. A lovely outdoors balcony available - would be lovely in a sunny day. Dog friendly section available in the restaurant as well as a room in the B&B.

Enjoyed a lovely meal this evening. Delicious food and excellent service. We had steak which was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

What a lovely find, the dinner was superb, especially the rolled pork, and the wine pairing choices were lovely. The family really enjoyed the experience. Good service too.

Bit of a sad visit really as it was for light refreshments after a funeral service. Everyone was looked after really well with tea and coffee supplied. A waitress was always popping to make sure everyone was okay. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely with very little left. It was a lovely venue to say goodbye to a lovely lady x

Went for an evening meal there last night for a change. The place is beautifully set out with great decor. The food was fantastic, all 3 courses. Just wish the lamb fat was crispy on the chops but otherwise gorgeous. Staff where nice and friendly, Abigal very helpful. Beer and cocktails very good. Nothing was o er priced at all. I would highly recommend and we will be definitely be visiting again.

Have been to the Farrier twice now and both times the meal was amazing, the staff were friendly and very accommodating and the ambience was very welcoming.

This place is a gem. We went for a birthday celebration dinner and stayed the night in the old stables bedroom which is stunning. Every comfort is there with quirky, yet tasteful, furnishings and a horse riding theme which is never carried too far. It’s also huge so felt like our own apartment. The whole block can be hired as self catering accommodation and it is really well designed. The bar, restaurant and lounge areas are delightful as is the courtyard and the food was delicious and beautifully presented at both dinner and breakfast by efficient, friendly and charming staff. We’re so pleased to have found the Farrier and have booked ahead for a special event next year but we’ll be back before that.

Visited in Aug and had an excellent experience so thought we’d give it a second go in Oct…..bloody brilliant once again!!! I think I said it all in my last review so won’t repeat myself again, but what a diamond place this is and I’d highly recommend to anyone bothering to read this reviews. Once again the staff, food and cleanliness were exceptional…saying that, did notice lots of ‘cobwebs’ around the pictures and fittings this time in public areas!!! HANG FIRE PEOPLE….it is Halloween month and the ‘cobwebs’ were decorations We also had the pleasure of chatting to Mr & Mrs Bushby (Dani’s mum & dad) before and after our evening meal…lovely people and both obviously very proud of Dani and what she’s achieving with this wonderful place…they should also be very proud of themselves for having the vision to invest and help make it what it is. Hats off once again to the chefs, front of house & housekeeping staff….we’ll definitely be returning again in the future. Oh…had a quick tour of the new accommodation before we left this morning. Just when you think the bar couldn’t be raised, they’ve notched it up again, brilliant job (and loved the ‘secret door’!)

We had a two night stay at the Farrier Inn, and wished it could have been for longer. Spotlessly clean and tidy; everything looks fresh and very appealing. We stayed in 'Sea Biscuit', a spacious room complete with two wardrobes (with lights within that automatically come on by movement sensor); and two arm chairs; plus the usual dresser, dressing table, TV and bedside tables. Tea/coffee making facilities were topped up each morning as was the fresh milk (and bottled water)in the room fridge. It was very warm though, and we didn't immediately realise that there was a free standing fan/air cooler, so the first night was spent with the windows wide open- which is not ideal as the church clock (next door) chimes on the hour, every hour! I couldn't see on the website if the room had a hairdryer as it wasn't mentioned on the list of facilities, but it does, so no worries there.The en-suite was, likewise, spotless with a towel rail that was constantly on so that towels dried easily. Lovely toiletries - especially the rhubarb shower gel. The magnifying mirror and spotlights were an added bonus. Everything seemed to have been thought of for their guests' comfort.The menu was varied, food delicious - especially the pudding for two! We have never seen (or eaten) such a large breakfast! Compliments to the chef.Finally, we have to say that we have never stopped anywhere where the staff have been more friendly. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. It was an absolute pleasure to stop at the Farrier.

My hubby and I and 2 jacks visited yesterday 9.10.21 for his birthday. Just love this place food staff and place amazing. We come from manchester cant wait until our next visited on new years day. The staff treat you so special,the food is first class . I cannot reccomend the farrier any higher. 11 out of 10 .

We stayed at the Farrier for 2 days this week.We feel it is probably the best place we have stayed in the UKThe rooms, food and most of all the staff were fantastic and will visit again and recommend to friends.

We booked a table for my family (2 adults and 2 young children).We were on a our holiday and after reading the good reviews I thought we would book a table.The whole experience was fantastic, the staff were really friendly, attentive and approachable. Nothing was to much trouble.The food was amazing I had the steak sandwich and my partner had fish and chips. The portions did defeat us though, we made sure we had enough room for dessert. I really enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend dining here. I’m disappointed that we live so far away that we can’t dine here more often.

I went here for my husbands birthday with our friends. The service literally is 5* plus. We were so well looked after. Then the drinks were exquisite the cocktails wines snd coffees. The food was amazing probably the best food I have eaten in a very long time. We all had a different meal but all 4 were brought out in perfect detail. So fabulous. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves great food great service snd feeling like you mattered. Amazing.

Where to begin ?? We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Such is the obvious popularity of The Farrier they unfortunately only had room for us on the first floor (which there was a lift to, very handy for us because our elderly parents, who dined with us, are in their eighties and have mobility issues). We felt a little isolated upstairs, because it was evident there was a really vibrant feel to the ground floor (with the gentle hum of chatter and the background music giving the area a lovely ambient atmosphere). This was our only minor grumble. The four of us dining had three different mains and four different desserts. Each one cooked to perfection, each one thoroughly enjoyed. The service, matched the food, both were impeccable. We recognised Dani from her "Four in a Bed" triumph and when we pointed this out she brought us two albums, one commemorating her victory on the show and more impressively, the album recording the painstaking transformation The Farrier has undergone since her family purchased the property. Each member of Dani's staff were a credit to her and The Farrier and without a moments hesitation we would return to dine here (to stay would be even better !! The rooms look amazing). All in all a big thank you to Dani and her staff. A wonderful dining experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!

A lovely pub/restaurant, beautiful food, wonderful staff, very dog friendly. We went for a birthday treat, the menu was wonderful, all well and freshly cooked, good wine list, very reasonable prices.

Visited the Farrier with my husband to celebrate my special birthday. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Staff were so welcoming and amazing for the whole evening. We enjoyed great cocktail before our meal and were so impressed with everything to be honest. Our meal was absolutely delicious and we ended our evening with a drink in front of the fire before we left. Thanks so much for to all the staff.

We booked for lunch but probably didn't need to as the holiday season is coming to an end. We had seen their website and the reality is just as impressive. Courteous staff and a beautiful relaxed dining room, everywhere was spotless. The food was delicious. I had gammon steak and my wife cod in prosecco batter - both cooked beautifully and delicious. You'll certainly never leave hungry with these portions. Service was relaxed but attentive with welcoming touches such as a warm roll and butter whilst waiting for the food.

Despite me booking the wrong date, we arrived 4 days early…….the staff at The Farrier were so accommodating and they could fit us in with no trouble at all.We had the perfect night for our 10th Anniversary. The food was exceptional and the staff were so warm and friendly. This is the second time we have been and hope to visit many more.

Second time this month we have been to The Farrier and on both occasions it’s been perfect. Last night, as soon as my wife and I walked in, we were made to feel welcome and special. Perfect service and perfectly cooked steaks. What more do you need…Thank you and will definitely see you soon.

It"s a tough one this because in many ways our visit met expectations. On the plus side - this is an exceptional venue - it is evident no expense has been spared in providing the highest standards and outstanding attention to detail. Service is first class - not intrusive or overbearing - combining efficiency with an informal approach.Food is of a high standard. So why not 5 stars? OK - We are not fans of allowing dogs in Dining Rooms - For the life of us we cannot fathom why dog owners do it NOR can we understand why establishment owners allow it. This was made worse by the fact it was a YAPPING dog which frankly is just not on. Had we known dogs were allowed in the Restaurant we would not have booked it and for this reason we shall not be returning. That is a great shame.

As I said in a previous review we were booked into celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary and as usual both the meal and service was exemplary. From being welcomed at the front desk and shown to our table by a lovely member of staff things just got better, our order was taken and our drinks brought. Within 10 mins our starters arrived we both had the scallops which I must say tasted stunning, all the time the staff kept asking if we required anything, once we had finished our starters we were asked did we require a break or did we want our main courses? We said please bring our mains which I had the sea bass and my wife the steak again both stunning and so tasty. We finished off with a cheese board for two it was beautiful and I'm not a massive cheese fan lol, so to sum up the food beautiful the service so professional and the waiting time perfect, oh and I forgot the cleanliness of the farrier is outstanding well done to the housekeeping team.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and I can honestly say it was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The service is exemplary. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the Old Stables which certainly gave have the “wow factor”. It was the first room I’ve had with two baths and it is beautifully decorated with top quality furnishings and finishing. Real attention to detail which extends to the rest of the establishment. Everywhere is absolutely spotless. Despite having been converted 3 years ago the main building is immaculate and looks like it was converted yesterday! Not a scuff mark in sight which is remarkable for a busy hotel! Testament to the cleaners who are doing a fantastic job. The food was excellent, Breakfast were to a very good standard, black pudding was perfectly cooked. Sunday Roast was very good as was the Monday dinner. Crème brûlée was a delight with a small Eton mess on the side and we also had a lovely cheeseboard. Wines were also excellent and extremely good value for money. We left a jacket and shirt behind and they posted it back to us free of charge, As I said, exemplary service!Overall I cannot recommend it highly enough and I shall definitely be going back!

Had a lovely meal at the Farrier,excellent food and attentive staff. Pre dinner drinks in the cocktail bar upstairs was a nice touch which added to the experience. However another vegetarian option on the menu would be a bonus.Would definately return.

Our table was booked for 6.45pm,we arrived on time.We decided we didn't want a starter so ordered two main courses at about 6.50pm.We then waited and waited and waited!!At about 7.20pm we asked the waitress how long we would have to wait, bearing in mind that we had ordered duck which takes about 20mins (maybe 25mins at a push to cook), she came back to apologise that she had forgotten to place the order with the kitchen!!!!!!I have to give credit to the waitress for admitting her fault but I would have expected the management to acknowledge the problem with a visit to our table to apologise on behalf of the company. To fair to the chef once the meal arrived it was very good but the shambolic service completely ruined a meal that I was really looking forward to.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Every aspect was faultless, cleanliness, welcome, ambience, decor, customer service......truly an experience marvellous breakfast too!Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough.

What a beautiful place. Attention to detail from entrance hall, how the table was laid out and the surroundings first class.Food as good as any I have had anywhere. Asked for an area where we could take our puppy and was expecting to be put in a corner somewhere but actually a really nice part of restaurant Service first class as well.

We’ve been here before when The Farrier first opened and it was nice now it’s really bedded , it’s running like a well oiled machine. The staff are first class, very helpful and attentive with a smile, the menu is delightful, not extensive but plenty to entice any palate. We weren’t disappointed the food is excellent, presentation is to behold. Hand pulled Wold Top Ales compliments a good wine list, definitely will be returning soon.

We had Lunch in here after our visit to The Fairground Collection and loved it, the food is exceptional and the staff are friendly, may one day we will come back for dinner

What a treat,absolutely wonderful place to eat ,drink and sleep ,we stayed in the new old stable ,this is the best room we have ever stayed in .Attention to detail in the workmanship to the decor and the cleanliness of this room. A good menu that changes regularly. The quality of food, presentation and service are excellent, and staff are friendly and efficient. Allow plenty of time to dine, you are not hurried and meals are prepared to order.

The Farrier knows its niche exactly. Some diners were wearing jeans, but I did not feel over-dressed in my lounge suit. The dishes were so well presented that it seemed a shame to destroy the food by eating it. These people take hum-drum ingredients and transform them into world-class cuisine. That takes a special kind of genius. The service was friendly without being over-familiar. It was an evening of magic. Would I go back? In an instant. In fact, I would sell a battalion of grandmothers to do so. Interestingly, the prices charged here are almost identical to those of Cafe Fish in Scarborough which is an embarrassment to the people of God’s own county. The good news is that professional and highly-focussed places like the Farrier show that Britain’s hospitality industry has a great post-lock future.

Stayed in Seabiscuit for a couple of nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and work together as a wonderfully warm team. The venue is beautifully clean, luxuriously and the layout well thought out.The food, wow, the food is sublime without exception, and our evening meal was the best I have eaten on several continents. I would not hesitate to recommend to all who appreciate the highest quality.

We sat outside in the sunshine. The food was excellent we both had blue cheese steak sandwich and shared a bowl chips. The staff are so welcoming and friendly.

I'm pretty sure we sat next to no-connoisseur last night, their fillet steak looked amazing, and I'm pretty sure the Mr said it was the best steak he'd ever had!!!The food we had was outstanding and service very attentive and friendly. We had scallops with pork belly, smoked chicken for starters and for mains sea trout and pork belly, the food was just so tasty and flavorful, plentiful and beautifuly presented. I'm wishing I'd booked for more than one night, so I'm hoping for a cancellation this week so we can visit again before we go home

We booked a table for 2, in the dog friendly dining room, for every evening of our stay in Cayton. When we first walked by, we did wonder if it would be a bit too ‘posh’ for a relaxed dining experience. However, we have been made so welcome, the food is outstanding, the service is exceptionally friendly and there is a lovely atmosphere. The decor is stunning and really well thought out with quirky, horse inspired furnishings. We couldn’t ask for more, and we are only half way through our week!

Everyone there could not praise you enough and all commented that the food was delicious. The table was set splendidly and the location of he room upstairs was ideal for our family to celebrate. Somewhere I had wanted to visit but never got around to! Then one afternoon watch 4 in a bed and I needed to visit! It did not disappoint, everything was fantastic . We had and evening meal which was just delicious, we both had the steak and I can honestly say was one of the best I have had in a long time.. service was wonderful and attentive but not over kill. I liked that. We did have a starter, main and pudding but struggled!! But need to taste something off each menu. We stayed over as it was our 10th anniversary and it did not disappoint. Small touches like the welcome board and petals, toiletries in the bathroom just made it. The added bonus of a fan was great. I personally liked the hair straightener mat! Any girl knows we always struggle when putting straighteners down!! We will certainly visit again and would recommend this place to anyone who is passing. The attention to detail throughout the whole place is fantastic. My only criticism is the husband felt because the pictures of 4 were not aligned it messed with his balance Overall this is not to be missed!Dani the manager was present in the morning which is often unusual in places we have stayed before and clearly dedicated to ensuring this business is maintaining its standards and thriving. The staff were fantastic and should be proud of the service they deliver

We were lunchtime diners at this restaurant which we spotted as we travelled through Cayton. There was good car parking. The outside seating was excellent. The service was good.We both had the cod and chips which turned out to be a very good choice especially for hearty eaters.Service was top notch and we will return to this fine restaurant next time we are in the area.

Came here for a lunch and it was quite busy, which is a good sign. The inside is lovely decorated with lovely seating and it felt luxurious from the cutlery and napkins , even the nice touches in the toilets with a horses mouth bit toilet roll holder, lol, love it. The food was very good, one of us had fish finger sandwich which was great, I had beef and cheese sandwich which was warm , tasty yes but for me I’d like more cheese on it. It became a little dry as there was not much butter on the toast either. Salad would be lovely with a dressing too (IMO) . Hence why I only gave it four stars (which is still good) . Would come again definitely, and would recommend.

My wife and I have just eaten our evening meal here for the first time since New Years Eve before lockdown and I must say I think things may have improved a little on the five star visit last time.The whole experience from the warm and friendly welcome through the stunningly tasty starter main and blissfully sublime sharing desert was absolutely five star all the way.Please Dani don’t stop doing what you’re doing at the Farrier, we want to keep returning for years to come!

Whilst I am sure many of the clientele of this establishment will disagree with this review I have to say I was very disappointed with the food. It didn't get off to a very good start when my husband was given the evening meal menu instead of the lunch menu it as only when he had perused it and made his choice that the issue came to light. 2 of our party choice the gammon and the other 2 the fish and chips. The chips were undercooked, the batter on the fish was very greasy and although crisp on the outside was very soggy inside. Needless the say we left more of the fish and chips than we ate. All these issues could have clearly been avoided. We voiced our opinion to the staff on collection of the plates and the comment was "we will let the chef know". I would have thought it more prudent to let the manager know.

WOW! I just love it here! It's been on my list to visit for so long, yet life takes over! Then suddenly I make it twice in 1 week!Best thing is that my 2 gorgeous dogs are allowed too!Every part of this place is gorgeous! On a sunny day you will love the outside eating area, the dining area's are all gorgeous, so too the cocktail bar. The staff are so nice, they go out of there way to help and are so courteous and happy at work, although I am not surprised as the owners are truly gorgeous!So we visited for coktails and chips on Saturday late afternoon as a family and had a lovely time, then today chilled morning with a friend tucking in to a delicious breakfast before a lovely walk at Cayton Bay! I've yet to visit for dinner, (when we can get in) and also to try the amazing ice cream on offer!The rooms look fantastic and all I can say is that you will not be disappointed! Standards are very high and the food quality is gorgeous!Unique find close to one of the nicest beaches Scarborough has to offer! Ideal for a couples night out, friends, girls night and well behaved dogs!Thank you Danni and the team, we will see you VERY soon! X

A very warm welcome on arrival, menus explained and asked if any allergies within the group. Plenty of time given to make choices, food produced in good time and expertly delivered by the waiting team. Food quality was excellent. Bar choices were equally excellent and satisfying.Prices reflect the excellent quality and service provided.Congratulations to the team still operating in difficult times and providing an excellent service.

What a gem of a find. As a family of 9 celebrating a special big birthday, we were treated like royalty when we dined at The Farrier. From yummycocktails in the bar on arrival, delicious dining (not easy when accommodating a nut allergy, a dairy free, a gluten free & a vegan!) and deserts that are truly a work of art, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Dani and the team welcome you with open arms & take care of you every need. Thanks again for making such a memorable day, can’t wait to return.

The best venue in the whole United Kingdom, lovely staff, fantastic food and the most incredible cocktails!!!We come here about 3 times a year as my Father in Law has a caravan at Cayton Bay Holiday Park. This venue is absolutely stunning. You will not find a nicer pub in the UK. Everything about this place is class. The food, the staff, the glassware… You get my point. Thank you to Julie who makes the best creamy cocktails in the land! On this occasion after 4 cocktails and 2 large wines (!), I accidentally didn’t leave enough cash on the table (I thought I had!) for my bill. The team handled this beautifully and even offered me to view their CCTV (there is no need for that at this venue at all). Both my apologies and thanks to The Farrier team. My partner and I had another brilliant time. We will see you all soon for another beautiful meal and amazing cocktails!

We booked the restaurant well in advance to ensure we got a table. On arrival we spoken to a lovely lady who showed us to our table of 4, the table was really nicely presented and we loved the attention to detail. The staff were very attentive and friendly, there was a superb drinks menu and we were spoilt for choice what to have food-wise. Loved the magnetic menu's holders so much we're actually sourcing them for our own place. We had olives, the pigeon ( cooked to perfection ) seabream and lamb, our children had the pasta which they both thoroughly enjoyed. Desserts were delicious and once again stunning presentation. We will certainly be back when in the area such a great place and very tastefully decorated from top to bottom. A must try it for yourself!

WOW!! What an amazing place this is?!My wife and I visited here last week and was blown away by such a nice place. We have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world and this is right up there with them. We had starters, mains and desserts. 1 beer, 2 cocktails, 1 bottle of red wine and 3 glasses of rosé Champaign and was only £160. The sampan was delightful and the steak was cooked to perfection. The staff were all very polite and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. So much so I left them a nice tip. If you’re looking for somewhere just that little bit extra from your holiday to Cayton bay then go here. Kids and family’s are very welcome and even walkers with their dog.There’s a great size outdoor seating area with heaters. When we are in the area we will be calling again. Be sure to book well in advance.

Without doubt the best hotel we’ve stayed at. Beautiful place with the most friendliest of staff. We stayed in Black Beauty room and it was so comfortable and welcoming. The bed was a four poster and very large. The en-suite complete with large shower was fantastic. Breakfast next morning was very filling, we both had the full English and it was cooked to perfection.The owner, Dani, went the extra mile too by picking us up from Scarborough after we’d been to a concert. Amazing hospitality, we can’t recommend this place enough! We’ll be back!

Called in whilst passing and managed to fit us in for lunch. Lovely welcome. Service was fantastic. Great ambiance and menu. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Great singers performing too which was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend.

We stumbled across this beauty in 2020 ( after a lengthy lockdown) we called in for lunch, the food was delicious the roast beef sandwich just melted in the mouth!! My husband quickly book a nights stay for my 40th Birthday, unfortunately lockdown prevented our stay, we rebooked for April for our wedding anniversary again another lockdown. We finally make it for bank holiday weekend, travelling 2.5hours from home and we were not disappointed!!Drinks in the cocktail lounge was so chilled and relaxing, the staff are amazing!! Polite, attentive and professional an absolute credit to the team. Evening meal pate followed by roast lamb was beyond my expectations, I’m not sure how to put it to words other than ‘out of this world’.We stayed in the warhorse room again everything was perfect and more!! Breakfast top quality ingredients plenty to eat and just insanely delicious.We loved it so much that I booked again for my husband 40th in December. A lengthy drive but worth every mile!!Well done to Team Farrier!!

Visited with my wife and daughters (10 and 12) for a meal on the last night of our hols. Food, service and drinks were all excellent. Really hope to visit again next time we are in North Yorks.

Excellent customer care, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room, named The War Horse was beautiful, high quality furnishings, spacious with a large en-suite with a bath and walking shower.Dinner in the restaurant was very good. Would definitely stay here again

We stayed overnight in the new dog friendly accommodation, as you would expect of The Farrier it is fabulous The decor is lovely with amazing attention to detail and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Given its location on the Main Street it was also very quiet.Our evening meal was delicious as was breakfast.We look forward to staying again soon and have no hesitation in recommending The Farrier.Wishing Dani and her team continued success
