White Hart Inn in Scarborough

Just called in for a couple of drinks on our way through. Very friendly staff and regulars, made us feel welcome. Nice pub.

The White Hart is everything a small country pub should be. Warm, welcoming ,immaculately clean and decorated with care . Can't recommend it highly enough.

This is a lovely little country pub, with and warm and friendly atmosphere. In a time of countless identi-kit bars and chain pubs, was nice to see a pub at the heart of the community with individual character.

This is a great country pub, very welcoming at all times of year. The owners are particularly nice and are really friendly when we've been. I particularly like the interior decor. It creates a very comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a few drinks with friends and family.

The 00s modernist interior design ruins the atmosphere with almost scalpel-like efficiency. From the outside you expect thick carpets, wooden beams, roaring fire and cosy bench seating, then when you get in you sit on leather restaurant seats in a bland environment. There is a nice community feel with folk singing some nights as well, and the place looks beautiful from the outside, but in my opinion the owners need to do some research and have a think about what draws people to a country pub, and sort the interior out.

Great hosts excellent beer, locals are passionate about their pub and support it well.
