This place is absolutely perfect. Stunning cafe venue, sometimes with relaxing live music during the day. I live quite far away but I sometimes make it across on a Friday afternoon for the free jazz. There is nothing better than having a lovely coffee and cake, listening to some gorgeous saxophone and piano. The food is always wonderful. Check out their Facebook because they do some exciting special events, which I will get to one day!! Well done for keeping this old church open and creating something so beautiful. Keep up the good work!

Found this quite by accident whilst looking for somewhere to eat that Fish and Chips was not top of the menu. We ordered quiche and salad, with a side order of chips. What can I say - the food was beautiful. Everything we had was all homemade and beautifully presented and generous to boot. Also there was a jazz band playing which made it really special. Would strongly recommend trying the place out - you wont be disappointed. Thanks to all the staff, who were friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful little gem of a cafe. We found this place hidden away on our last day. Went in for a quick snack before heading home. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. A great range of delicious cakes too. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The girl on the till (young with dark hair, a little alternative) was especially welcoming and helpful. Beautifully decorated and lovely relaxing atmosphere. I believe they also have live music and events, from posters being displayed which would just add to the wonderful atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, we will be returning.

Literally a thirty second walk from our holiday cottage. Tasty food and friendly staff. The chapel makes for a lovely setting. Our food was slightly delayed through no fault of the cafe and they offered us free drinks. Very considerate. Would highly recommend and we will be visiting again.

Loved it here. A converted church which means it is nice and airy and you are not, and do not feel, cramped in like a lot of places in Whitby. The building has kept its original features and has a lovely feel to it. There is also seating outside if you are lucky enough to land on a sunny day. And the food too is very tasty and well priced. Definitely worth a visit or two and we will be returning.

Stopped for lunch whilst on holiday. My granddaughter had fallen and hurt her finger and the staff were very kind giving her a plaster and making her feel better. The food was fresh and tasty. Lovely jacket potato, my daughter enjoyed her salmon and broccoli quiche, my grandson said his bacon sandwich was good and myself and my husband had lovely scones. Prices are reasonable and the building is lovely. We will definitely be back next time we are in Whitby.

A hidden Gem. Called in for a quiet coffee, we ended up with a perfectly cooked bacon bun, and a well presented cheese and ham toastie. The staff were polite and cheerful. The chapel has been tastefully turned into a coffee, food and live music venue. Well done.

We sat down and waited for hot food for over 40 minutes. I complained and said we could not wait any longer as our car park allowance would expire. The tall girl with dark hair and glasses who appeared to be the supervisor was extremely rude and bad mannered. The manager appeared on the scene and said we could have a refund. I took the refund only because of the nasty attitude of the supervisor. She seriously needs to go on a course on how to talk to customers. I handed the small refund to a local charity shop. It was not about the refund, but you do expect politeness inside a church. Watch out for this woman and leave a review maybe she will then get some training thank you

Found this lovely cafe/restaurant up from the harbour in Whitby. Beautiful surroundings inside what was a church. Still many original features. Had tasty toasted sandwiches with side salad, coleslaw and crisps and a delicious dressing. Friendly staff. Worth the walk up the hill.

What a gem! The menu is simple, interesting and well considered. We had the daal stew which was delicious.;We were spoilt for choice with other offerings on the menu so will definitely go back. They make their own bread, scones and croissant too. Very friendly for humans and furry friends, I highly recommend.
