20/06/2018: I’m writing this review on behalf of my parents. I booked them in for the 2 steaks and carafe of wine for £39 as a treat for Father’s Day. They went last night and they had a superb meal the best food they’ve had for...
18/06/2018: Four of us ate at The Poet at Matfield to celebrate the end of the school exam season. The spiced duck was delightful, and both the lemon sole and bass dishes were rich, delicate at came with perfect accompanying sauces. Our son isn’t at the...

Seal and Weald, Sevenoaks, >100£
19/06/2018: Authentic Italian in every way. Great ingredients, attentive staff and your favourite classic Italian dishes all washed down with a good wine list.
18/06/2018: Can't fault the quality of food and service - every single time we visit. One of my family's favourite place to eat on special occasions. Can't recommend it highly enough.

The Sushi Maki

Victoria, West Berkshire
16/06/2018: Another great visit quite simply.
15/06/2018: We stopped here for lunch and were most surprised. The restaurant is quite small but with loads of atmosphere. It is spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly. We had the special sushi platter for two which had four different types on and each one was delicious. It looked amazing and well presented and the staff explained each one to us. We had a side of edame beans which is our new favourite snack. It isn't a cheap lunch stop but certainly something different every now and again.

Burger Brothers

St. Peter's and North Laine, Brighton and Hove, <20£
19/06/2018: Top quality burger, best I’ve tried in Brighton. Great set up with friendly staff, this was my second visit in the space of a month. I got their specialty burger again with an extra patty, it was great but preferred it the first time with just one.
19/06/2018: This place definitely lives up to its reputation. I had the plain beef burger with a gluten free bun and without a doubt was the most delicious burger I have ever eaten. The pattie was so full of flavor and the bun was great. Only a few bar seats and got very crowded so be prepared to take away, but so worth a visit!

Shanklin South, Isle of Wight
15/06/2018: My first time at this restaurant. Came here after reading the many positive reviews. Decided to take the specials of the day: carrot and coriander soup and cod fish with pesto mashed potatoes and sides. All the food was very fresh and very tasty. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc by the glass amazing! The service was very professional, friendly, open and at the same time discreet. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere rounded up my visit. Highly recommendable place to dine.
10/06/2018: Visited as a solo diner on my last night in the Isle of Wight. The food was the best I had eaten during my holiday.Service was attentive but not over powering and the decor was tasteful.Although not cheap,it was very good value for money, portion size just right and both plates and food were hot.My pud was the Dark Chocolate Pot with Cherries soaked in Brandy-DIVINE.

Stotesburys Fish And Chips

Newport Central, Isle of Wight
20/06/2018: We are stopping at a local holiday park and found out that the onsite fish and chip shop was closed due to some technical fault.
19/06/2018: My family have been eating fish and chips from this place for years, my grandad is 100 and ate there from a boy! Always good food and the queue on a Friday is testament to this.

St. Bride's Major, The Vale of Glamorgan
15/06/2018: Came to Frolics to celebrate our 30th wedding Anniversary and daughter passing her test. We've never been before but were treated fabulously by the staff. The food was amazing, service was friendly and attentive and We felt prices were extremely good for the quality of food and service. We were even presented with a free bottle of Prosseco to take with us to continue celebrating our special day
07/05/2018: Always a warm welcome from Franco and great service throughout the meal. The food is delicious with a good range of starters, tasty pasta dishes cooked to perfection and lovely desserts (the creme brûlée was amazing). The restaurant is in a beautiful location so a stroll to the beach after a great meal is a must.

The Home Sweet Home

Cholsey and Wallingford South, South Oxfordshire
21/06/2018: Always a warm welcome and tasty food
15/06/2018: We hadn't booked but the very helpful staff managed to find us a table even though it was very busy. Beautiful bar with a lovely feel, we went straight to the table though as we were squeezed in having not booked. The menu was really excellent and far above what you would perhaps expect from a small country pub, I have great joy in saying the menu was not all show - they food was brilliant, we loved everything and left the plates clean!

Kathton House

Sturry South, Canterbury
19/06/2018: Perhaps you would not expect such a sophisticated gastronomic experience in Sturry, a small and relatively unprepossessing village outside Canterbury, but it is well worth the event to make the trip. From the outside it looks like an ordinary house but inside it is an elegant restaurant with first class service and surprisingly sophisticated menu. You can choose from two menus, one more expensive and extensive than the other. I chose the less expensive and my husband and son the more expensive. We all enjoyed our choices. I would suggest this as an ideal venue for a special event, such as a birthday or anniversary, though I have friends who go there regularly.
18/06/2018: Went for lunch beautiful restaurant inside a house very smart cosy romantic Home made rolls warm setting lunch time great fresh food and service excellent Very French

Waterside Inn

Bray, Windsor and Maidenhead, >100£
19/06/2018: Came here to celebrate my birthday.
19/06/2018: The Waterside continues to be a first class three Michelin star restaurant. There is however something intangible missing now that Diego has left. Also food levels continueTo rise to astronomic levels.A meal for 4 persons with a modest wine can be £700!

Cafe Meon

Wickham, Winchester, <20£
21/06/2018: Thank you for an amazing culinary experience, we were high on expectation after reading some of the reviews, and I am glad to say,our expectations we're exceeded. So hard to find an establishment who take such care to balance texture and taste.every part of the visit was 10/10.
18/06/2018: All I can say is it's the best vegan food I've had in a while, not much room so book in advance, go for the kfc chips, cakes were ok too. Quirky venue

Bincho Yakitori

Regency, Brighton and Hove, 45-60£
17/06/2018: Had the fish twice! Pork belly top notch. Loved the staff and interaction. Highly recommend . Can’t wait to go back
14/06/2018: Didn’t visit this place for ages as it didn’t look too inviting from outside and Preston Street isn’t our first call for restaurants. How mistaken we were. Having visited Japan many times, we can say that this is great authentic food at a reasonable cost....

Newport North, Isle of Wight
19/06/2018: Quiet simply the finest restaurant food we've tasted period. Amazing experience friendly and wonderful staff. Will definitely go back for some more. I highly recommen Thompson’s Restaurant in Isle of Wight. If you ever in that part of UK and you enjoy fine dinning Thompson's...
19/06/2018: Cheerfully met by Freddy and Sophie at Thompsons for the set Menu at Saturday Lunch time. We tried the vegetarian main course option, which suitably impressed ! Robert Thompson added to the whole experience with his detailed and interesting observations as to what was being...

Terre a Terre

Regency, Brighton and Hove, >100£
20/06/2018: This is a veggie/vegan restaurant with a difference - amazing combinations of flavours, unusual dish titles. I had Soubise, Soubise followed by Porcini Plumps - both delicious but dont take my word for it - go eat!
19/06/2018: Our first visit, the food was wonderful and the service we got from Mikey superb. We will come again!
