The best restaurants serving British food in South East

We eat here as a six about every three months, and this time we were possibly even more impressed than before. It was a Valentines-themed meal and I found it delightful.

I recently ordered a special cake for my mother-in law's 90th Birthday celebration, and it was delicious. She chose a Black Forest Gateau and we all agreed it was the best we've ever tasted. Even though I left it a bit late to order, Claudio and the team went out of their way to ensure the cake was ready when we needed it. I would definitely recommend Sweet Passion and will be returning very soon.

Brilliant find! Simone very welcoming and looked after us so well. The food is great with lots of choice and a different twist on the ploughman’s - delicious carved ham you will have to go to try it! Passion fruit cheesecake a must too and all reasonably priced. The decor and seating areas really nice and a friendly atmosphere where clearly locals visit frequently but new guests made welcome. Dog friendly pub and our Labrador keen to return as treats for them too! Thank you Simone We will be back!

We had a delicious lunch today. Spoilt for choice from the extensive menu. Nicely presented by Emily, who has created a lovely atmosphere at her Deli. Definitely recommend it.

Debbie and the team provided platters for our wake at a nearby pub to celebrate my mums life. She was so friendly and helpful, understanding our order perfectly and giving us the perfect selection of baguettes, even taking them to the pub so we didn’t have to worry about the logistics of getting it there on a difficult day. Thank you so much Debbie. I would highly recommend this company and everyone loved the selection.

Lovely afternoon tea, homemade cakes, fresh sandwiches and lovely atmosphere, would highly recommend this to anyone.

I am a regular visitor of this little gem. I love everything they sell! Their cakes are gorgeous, they offer a delicious selection of healthy colourful salads, the coffee is decent and their toastiest are to die for! So happy to have this so close to me. Staff are always very friendly too.

What a fabulous find this place is. Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and the food is exceptional. And I really do mean exceptional. The pies are actually made on premises and are packed to the brim with meat. None of your puff pastry lids floating on a sea of gravy here. The chateaubriand, cooked to perfection, was the best I've had anywhere. The vegetables were delicious. Stayed in the Desert Orchid room which has a large, very comfortable bed. The pictures tell you everything you need.(Recommended). We'll be coming back again soon, for sure.

Fabulous service and food at Avenue 141 Christmas lunch today. Food was hot and tasty, the students were polite and helpful. Congratulations to the staff for an exceptional meal.

Love this place so much…. We visited Kiosk last November on a visit to Lyme and were very impressed by the quality of the food, friendliness of the staff and the stunning location. We returned for a weekend away with friends this November and convinced them that this was the best place to get breakfast in Lyme.. they weren’t disappointed.. the breakfast bagels were first class , we had lots of delicious choices and we were pleased to be able to have the gluten free option as well. Thank you so much… we will definitely return on our next visit to Lyme!

My favourite cafe in East Sussex. Best cafe, best coffee and cakes and friendly staff always welcoming. My Honey dog is always welcome.
