Goldstone Cafe in Brighton and Hove

An absolutely excellent chinese restaurant. Really good attentive service with some of the best quality chinese food we have had. Salt and Chilli squid, Prawn toast and Aromatic duck were all exceptional and probably the best I've had.

The food is excellent - especially the prawn toast. The service is excellent and so friendly- can’t recommend enough. We haven’t had any disappointing dishes at all - great restaurant

The food is top class from this family run restaraunt. Singapore noodles are my favourite and have just the right amount of spice. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, tasty Chinese food.

The best Chinese we’ve had for a long time all freshly made not greasy at all the salt and pepper soft shell crab is lovely and you won’t get a better prawn toast anywhere else full of flavour we will be returning for sure!

Absolutely amazing food here!! We like to eat in .. food is so fresh and tasty and the owners are so very friendly and really looked after us .. prices are very reasonable too.. this is our favourite Chinese restaurant in Hove .. will be returning soon

We are regular customers and think it’s the best Chinese food in town. We always get a very friendly welcome and great service from Danny and his family. Nothing is too much trouble. We were extremely happy to see that Danny is now doing a takeaway service aswell for those nights you want to stay home. We highly recommend this restaurant and will continue to visit as often as possible

We eat here regularly - breakfast on Saturdays and Chinese in the evening. All the food is excellent. Danny is great and it’s very good value for money. You should definitely try it out. It’s well worth a visit. If you go you are sure to go back!

My second time here. Took along a few guests who haven’t experienced this Chinese tapas and they loved it just as much as I did the first time. The salt and chilli squid was as good as ever and I’ve never had prawn toast like it before where all the prawns are packed into the bread! Had great conversations with other diners too who loved their experience

We had heard how good this restaurant is and decided to try it out. I cannot rate this place highly enough. Danny the owner is a lovely guy, Brighton born and knows everyone ! It’s only a small place but very comfortable, clean and tidy. The food was delicious. We ordered prawn toast as a starter and when it came could not believe our eyes. It was the thickest prawn toast I have ever had and was SUPERB. The rest of our meal was just as delicious. Would 100% recommend this restaurant and they also do take-aways too. I believe it’s a cafe style during the day and restaurant in the evening. Try it out - you won’t be disappointed.

I have deliveries and eat in often always high standard of food and service. Staff are friendly and polite and make you feel very welcome. True service with a smile

My hubby and myself had a marvellous dinner here last night. We started with the shared Dim Sum mix - plenty to go around and absolutely delicious! I then had chicken sweet and sour balls, my husband duck and we both had Singapore noodles. Danny and his wife were lovely, gracious restaurant hosts and we both found the food wonderful. We will definitely be back :) Thank you :)

Great food and a nice change to have Chinese food for lunch, also just had a revamp and is now providing a takeaway/ delivery service, I'll definitely be trying this soon..

My friend has been raving about this restaurant and we booked a table for 2 on a Saturday night. I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious with good portion sizes served by attentive staff. We had a wonderful evening and got to meet Danny the owner and felt like old friends by the time we left. The food is very reasonably priced and we ordered way too much food so came home with doggy bags. You will not be disappointed visiting the Goldstone cafe I can’t wait for my next visit and to bring my family here for some more great Chinese Food.

I popped in here one evening as I was in the area, really just wanting a drink to cool down, and ended up having the best dim sum I have ever had. I cannot recommend goldstone cafe’s Chinese offerings highly enough. The staff are delightful and very attentive. Will definitely be going again!

Finally, incredible Chinese food in Hove. Didn’t realise it was owned by Danny (of Danny’s Portland Road) and no doubt this place will get a huge following. Can’t recommend enough

Just come back from an evening meal at the goldstone cafe. Owned by Danny, formerly of Danny's on Portland rd. Excellent meal. The crispy duck is full of flavour and is delicious. The staff ate friendly and welcoming. Can thoroughly recommend going there. It is a cafe during the day also excellent food. Then Wed -Sat eve until 9 30 he serves chinese tapas . Go there at any time of day . You wont regret it👍

Excellent food. Loved the salt and chilli ribs. Nice selection of wines. Good service always happy to help. If you’re not sure what to have the owner (Danny) is more than happy to help you decide

This is the first time we have been here.wow where do I start amazing polite staff .the food is some of the best chinese I've ever eaten . We wasn't rushed in there either like some chinese places .desserts were lovely too. Nice choice of chinese dishes too choose from .and it was very reasonably priced .Will definitely be back soon to have another meal there .

We weren’t quite sure what to expect from a cafe which also sells Chinese food and to say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement! The food was delicious and fresh a nice varied menu and some traditional larger dishes as well , the cafe is fully licensed so the chilled white wine was a nice extra to an already lovely meal. Definitely recommend
