Beautiful café with lots of vegan options. I had a peanut butter pretzel cupcake and an iced chai latte which were both amazing and reasonably priced. It can get a bit humid in the back seating area with all the plants though.

Top notch place. Quite inexpensive and amazing service. Food is extremely fresh and tasty. you will be coming back to this place.

Have been coming here for years and always satisfied with the service and quality of the products offered. Would highly recommend! It’s very cosy and both the cooked food and the pastries and cakes are great. Would especially recommend the basque cheesecake!

Ordered garden breakfast and a soft drink. On plus it was served super fast and sourdough bread was great. On the other hand, most of the ingredients on the plate were cold so I assume those might be prepared beforehand and assembled once ordered, a bit disappointing experience for this price. Nice interior, but might feel a bit cramped and overwhelming, if you prefer open spaces.

Wow. This is a beautiful venue and they've covered it with plants which, personal opinion, makes it even better. The staff are lovely and the food was amazing. I had the pancakes because I fancied it, thinking it would be a simple pancake stack but they were perfectly fluffy and had the perfect mix of crispy exterior and fluffy interior. I was looking at the other dishes brought out to diners and each one was a work of art. If you're debating going; just go.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Garden Cafe for the past two years, and it used to be one of my favorite places in Brighton. I would often come here and never had any issues until today’s experience left me feeling extremely disappointed. During today’s visit, my 10-month-old baby accidentally kicked the table, causing everything on it to fall. Unfortunately, one plate, two cups, and a pot of tea were broken. Accidents happen, especially with small children, but I was shocked when the owner charged me £25 for the damage. While I understand that broken items have a cost, I would have expected a bit more understanding, especially given how frequently I’ve supported this place over the years. As a business owner myself, I believe there’s value in maintaining good relationships with loyal customers, and this incident has left a sour taste. Because of how the situation was handled, I will not be returning to Garden Cafe. It’s sad to say goodbye to a place I once loved, but today’s experience changed that for me.

Thought I’d try this place after the reviews, experience was ok, nothing special. You have to get up to the till to order. The iced lattes we ordered were average. The beer wasn’t cold enough, would be nice if the glasses were chilled. It’s a nice atmosphere with lots of plants around

One of the most beautiful cafes I’ve ever been to! I’ve always walked past this place but never been in and I regret not visiting sooner! There’s a cute garden section at the back of the main cafe and more seating in their guesthouse section next door with sofas. Staff are so friendly and helpful (and were VERY patient when we were being indecisive). We ordered the salmon sandwich to share as we weren’t too hungry and they were huge and so filling. Very generous with the sandwich fillings and beautifully presented too. There’s also lots of fresh daily quiches and cakes to choose from the counter. I’d definitely recommend popping in here for a light lunch and I’ll be back to try drinks and the brunch!

This is my third time coming to the cafe and every time I’m here I just don’t want to leave. The atmosphere is amazing. The food is delicious. I had the salmon and halloumi on avocado and it was divine. The coffee cake is to die for. Whenever you’re in Brighton get down there. Shout out to the Esin and Riley for their amazing service

Small green oasis with good coffee and a large selection of delicious cakes, also great for vegans. The many plants create a relaxing atmosphere in the middle of busy Brighton. Very nice staff.

Needed to make a slight change of plan and ended up in front of this little gem of a cafe. Started with a coffee and a baby feed and ended up with a full on brunch. Pancakes and poached eggs were amazing and such a tranquil yet buzzing environment with lovely and friendly staff. Too notch!

I went here for breakfast and had avocado in toast and a decaf cappuccino. Both were delicious. The avo toast was different to how I normally have it, and I loved that. It was nice that they were doing something a bit different. I love the organic garden feel of the place with so many plants hanging above you. I would highly recommend and would go again.

Such a lovely cafe - really delicious food/cakes and a great aesthetic too. Highly recommend trying the quiches. And one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had (from someone who makes a lot at home!) Very friendly service too. Love this place 🌱

Beautiful cafe serving delicious food. Despite visiting on a busy Sunday lunchtime, staff were attentive and friendly- helping us find a table and offering recommendations from the menu. Our food came quickly- it was delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. We stayed on for coffee- perfect flat white and amazing cakes... spoiled for choice. Will absolutely be making return visits.

The venue is beautifully decorated but the staff were frosty and the beverages were average at best. Didn’t make for a great experience. First time in a while I haven’t bothered to finish my drink.

Great atmosphere, healthy food and lovely coffee

This is such a lovely cafe. They sell plants and the interior is super cosy with plants all round and hanging from the ceiling. There are plenty of seats and they have lots of lovely desserts on offer. I tried a victoria sponge cake last time I visited and it was tasty and this time I tried a butternut quiche but it wasn't amazing, quite dry.

It’s a really relaxing place where you can recharge your batteries with all the vegetation. There is a wide choice of dishes, and also dessert. The products are really good quality, and the staff are helpful and friendly.

Beautiful cafe with lovely staff, all their rooms are very well decorated fitting to their name with plants hanging from ceilings. The food was nice and well presented, only with that they offered some vegan butter for the toast.

Good environment. They have a variety of cakes to choose. I ordered the lime + pistachio and is way too sweet for me. The cake was very moist. Quite an expensive cake.

Service was great, food came incredibly quickly but nearly £10 for a sandwich with nothing with it is ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong it was very nice but silly pricing. Also it’s very cramped you’re virtually shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you. The coffee was okay nothing super special but the cakes were not good. Very dry and the tiramisu was absolutely covered in cocoa powder. It was pretty much inedible.

Beautiful place so much nature relaxes you

Coffee’s were ok but nothing special, ordered a dirty chai and a discoff latte, could not taste the difference between them, looked nicer than they tasted. Also ordered a slice of lemon cake which they forgot we ordered and we had to ask them where it was after already finishing the coffees. Limited seating available so ended up on the side of the street where there were lots of drunk people. Staff seemed like they were in another world as we couldn’t get any of their attention for ages, and when they did speak it was very hard to understand them.

Best cafe in Brighton for sure! I’m a big fan of Burnt Pistachio (be careful, love at first bite) and Green Matcha Latte. Also atmosphere is AMAZING!

Lovely cafe!! We had some brunch menu, coffee and a cake, wonderful experience! The best coffee I've ever had and the cake was amazing too. The food is great, with loads of healthy options, and even looking beautiful! The staffs are always very welcoming, great atmosphere with lovely plants and decorations, highly recommend👏👏

Visited specifically for the basque cake, but it was a disappointment. The cake is too dry and doesn’t have much flavor. The pistachio one has rich pistachio flavor, but can’t rlly taste any cheese in it. Paying almost £6 for this isn’t worth it.

Stunning place, great atmosphere. Had a butternut squash quiche was delicious, if a bit cold in the middle. The bathrooms really let the place down - filthy when I visited and not particularly secure.

Had the salmon and fried egg sandwich plus the avocado toast with scrambled eggs. Service was swift! And the food was delicious! An excellent food place with beautiful ambience! Definitely one of the better cafes in Brighton.

This is my favorite Brighton cafe!! The quality is really good and the taste is so deep and delicious that it can't be compared to a franchise cafe!! The store and hotel are very pretty and I really recommend it!! In particular, barista Esin and barista Lucy make the coffee beautifully!! Really 5 stars in every way!!

Lovely cafe. The vibe is perfect and highly recommended if you are up to catch up with a friend kind of things. Food was ok but the portion size is not aligned with the price range. If I pay 20£ for a brunch, I expect to go out feeling overwhelmingly full. It seems I am not the first review complaining about food portions so perhaps you can pass this on to your kitchen! Photo looks like a lot of food but it was mostly leaves, very little egg and only 2 bread slices very slim.

Eye catching place that drew us in, our dining experience matched the wonder of the botanical atmosphere. Flavoursome soup and mouth watering quiche at reasonable prices and excellent friendly service. Great selection of melt in the mouth gf cakes too, wish we had this place in our town

10/10 FAVOURITE CAFE IN BRIGHTON! I travel a lot and been to a lot of coffee shops in the area but this has to be one of my favourite cafes ever with the most exceptional coffee and cake selection! Esin and Lucy being the sweetest and most politest baristas ever!! always greeting me with such welcoming and positive energy every time no matter the time of day and always giving 100% exceptional service every time without fail. I bring all my friends and family here and they too are impressed with how catering Esin and Lucy are!!! so if you are looking for a fantastic place for a coffee & a sweet treat in Brighton this is definitely a spot I recommend ! xxx

Fantastic breakfast. We had garden breakfast and it tasted great and was freshly prepared. Highly recommended. The cappuccino was also good in taste.

Food is great, fast and tasty, but mullet girl on the till is such a vibe killer - unbelievably grumpy and unhelpful - I was left in shock.....if you're that unhappy perhaps don't work with the public?

Gorgeous smoothies and cake. Staff were lovely and cafe had a lovely atmosphere! Laptop free zone on weekend which was a lovely touch.

The service was terrible. She could not have cared less. I ordered for takeaway and wish I had checked the food prior. The feta and tomato quiche was delicious as was the salad BUT OMG the salad was about the size of half an apple and I paid £3.50 for it.

the salmon quiche was SO GOOD (7.50£) i highly recommend. flavourful and perfect with a squeeze of lemon. the entire decor and vibe of this place is amazing, perfect for a nice brunch with friends or even a solo date.

THE most delicious cakes in Brighton and dare I say top three in Brighton and London? The coffee is pretty decent too, lovely atmosphere, shame about the very uncomfortable seats, I've tried different tables and even the mezzanine, but other than that this place is a gem, and staff are ever so helpful and friendly too!

Had the loveliest time at garden cafe. Cakes were to die for and the staff were just incredible! The beautiful young lady with the mullet was especially helpful and is a credit to the team. We will definitely be back soon

The BEST coffee and vibes in Brighton. Myself and my partner regularly visit this cafe for coffee and cake, and sometimes breakfast! The baristas here take so much care to make every coffee delicious. The cakes are all phenomenal, all locally baked fresh according to one of the staff who served us. I'd highly recommend visiting here! There are also plenty of vegan and vegetarian options!

Gorgeous cafe. Filled with plants and feels very calming. The sweet treat choices are excellent, with lots of gluten free options which is very rare. As someone who is gluten intolerant this was much appreciated. Service was quick and the staff member was informative about the options.

The most beautiful little space with fabulous cakes. They do one of the best Earl Grey teas in Brighton! The atmosphere is incredibly calm and peaceful and the staff are so attentive and jolly.

Ordered two pieces of cakes with my other half alongside with two shots of expresso coffees. The cakes we ordered was made to perfection the size of the portion of cakes are almost perfect there are a wide selection of cakes to choose from we was so full that we took some home for takeaway :) In regards to pricing i think this place is cheaper than most places in brighton for what you get really. Staff are really friendly and helpful which i think is important when you go to a restaurant or cafe you will find that here Definitely recommend this place if you want brunch or a coffee date here its the one!

This is a great little place for a light bite, coffee or cake. The most impressive plant themed decor works really well with the furniture. My photo really doesn't do it justice. We only had coffee & cake but they were rather nice. The staff were as pleasant as the surroundings making it an excellent experience. Well worth checking out.

Woman who served me initially was great and friendly. However, one of the workers at the counter grabbed the cash machine away from me, whilst paying, assuming I wasn’t going to tip, when in reality I was going to because the deserts and coffee actually tasted really nice. Definite attitude problems, but the cake and initial service was an over all plus!

Great food and coffee, fairly small menu but they’re good at what they do which is preferred over a massive menu where everything is average. All veggie, except salmon. We had the Garden Breakfast (+ Halloumi) and Scrambled Egg on Toast. The plate looks lovely with some edible flowers. Atmosphere rated a 4/5 purely because it gets busy and is a fairly little place. If I had any feedback it would be that my plate was slightly small for the amount of food which made it tricky to eat at first, but I can live with that 😋

Healthy food and healthy vibes for a healthy life. Love this place, the plants are cute, the service is quick and the variety of food is great. Great for a weekend brunch, work lunch or a cute date. Do recommend.
