New Forest's Finest Fish & Chips in New Forest

We (two couples) visited this wonderful gem at lunchtime on 27th August. Our friends live in the area and had visited this fish and chip shop before and had highly recommended the quality of the food. All four of us ordered fish and chips and we all agreed that the quality of the meals was first class together with the service that we received. The proprietor, who performs the cooking, was very pleasant, amenable and friendly. We would certainly make a point of visiting this establishment whenever we are next in the area.

Lovely fish and chips (curry source was good as well), kids loved there battered sausages etc. Friendly and helpful service.

We received a warm welcome & friendly service - Richard was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Food was also excellent & the lunch special a good sized portion. Loved it all!

Welcoming staff, delicious fresh food easy to find location . I would 100% recommend this for value for money , good quality food served by friendly staff . Wow. I cannot emphasize what an amazing place this is if you like your fish and chips! The line caught haddock was amazing, as good as I've tasted, as were the fishcakes. The chips were bang on too. The best bit was the service though, kudos to Dan who made sure everything was perfect for us. If I'm ever in the area again THIS is where I'll be eating.

Lots of food. Ended up throwing halve it away as too much. Staff were friendly. Food was ok and price was ok for a takeaway. Had better.

My husband and l had lovely fish and chip’s for lunch. We could not fault the service and the food (which was cooked to perfection).

Myself and family dined in here on 19th June 2024 and from as soon as we walked in until we left the staff were excellent and made sure we was happy with food and service . The food was very big portions and good quality and if we were to stay near here again we would return.

Beautiful quality food avd very reasonabley priced, top top top quality in all aspects, really enjoyed the food and service and will definitely be going back asap

Lovely food and the staff were so friendly. Great that they allowed us to wait inside for our food with the dogs as it was so cold outs

We've been here several times and it's really good value. The fish is absolutely beautiful and it's good to have the pot of tea with it. Unfortunately, they forgot our rolls/butter today, which are usually lovely, warm and crusty, but they were busy, so that's probably why. The staff are lovely, friendly and the service is efficient. We enjoy going there and would thoroughly recommend it.

This place is terrible. Greasy soggy chips are not the one. I’m guessing this place is only still open due to its position. I was disappointed on my first visit but thought I’d give it another chance but the second visit only confirmed what I learnt of my first. To sum it up, average to poor fish and terrible chips served with a smile.

Visited here last Friday for lunch whilst in Lyndhurst. Wow! Excellent lunchtime deal - cod/haddock, chips, mushy peas/curry sauce, roll and butter and a drink all for £11.95. Bargain. Good sized portion, excellently cooked food and delivered with a smile. Would highly recommend and will return when staying in the Forest again. Thank you!

Excellent fish and chips. We don’t live near here but visit Lyndhurst and surrounding area a few times a year. We have eaten here each time and the food has consistently been very high quality. Cannot fault it. Very highly recommended.

After being tempted by wafting aromas of fish, chips and vinegar. We opt for the set meal Cod, Unlimited Chips, Mushy peas and drink all for £15.95. Amazing food well worth the diversion of our original plan of pasty. Excellent, food, service and relaxed atmosphere 😋

Are second time here on holiday .we didn’t think it could get better and it did .there was 8 of us in the restaurant .professional staff excellent fresh food and will definitely be back .5 ⭐️

Lives up to its name! We came in for a late lunch, 2 adults 2 small children. All portions were generous, the kids’ especially so. Food was excellent, tasty without the the usual dose of grease that you get in lots of chippys! We ate in and the service was good too, the person who served us couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you very much, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

A clean and tidy, dog friendly establishment. We were greeted and seated by a young man who was very polite and professional. He brought water out for our dogs within a few minutes. Food orders in, food was delivered promptly and was delicious! Crispy batter and succulent white cod. Curry sauce was tasty too! We all enjoyed our meals! Highly recommended!

So many fish and chip shops are closing due to costs - this one is superb fantastic food and amazing service. Truly one of the best.

This fish and chip shop has one side serving take away and the other being a sit down restaurant. In the restaurant side you could even take your own bottle of wine! We had some delicious cod/haddock and chips which were excellent. All served by a very attentive and friendly young man. Even when the place filled up the young man continued to look after everyone with a smile. Thoroughly recommended.
