My wife and I have been here a couple times including this evening and find the food and service to be excellent value. This popular pub has a friendly atmosphere and I would recommend a visit.

Esta fue mi primera visita a The Salmon Leap aunque he oído hablar de ella durante años. Había pensado por el nombre que estaba cerca del río que no lo está, así que eso fue un poco decepcionante! Como otros han dicho el valor es muy bueno, yo tenía pastel de conejo y tocino que era encantador. El personal era muy amable y servicial.

Solo quiero dar las gracias a Heather y conseguir un equipo increíble. Tuvimos el mejor día con ellos ayer. Desde la primera vez que llamé para reservar y sonar a Heather hasta que nos fuimos anoche nada fue demasiado problema todos los que trabajan allí fueron muy útiles. Toda la experiencia fue increíble. La comida era deliciosa y a un precio razonable. Quedamos para seguir adelante con nuestra familia y quedarnos podridos. Booked a table for breakfast with family and friends before going for a dog walk. Staff were great, food was excellent and it was dog friendly. Ideal place to pop in before or after a walk if you're in the area. Looking forward to our next visit 👌

De entrar por la puerta la bienvenida fue increíble nada era demasiado problema. Paramos a tomar un café antes de un pequeño paseo y pedimos reservar una mesa. Had Sunday lunch there today excellent and price very good thankyou

So as a group of four we spent new years eve evening at the salmon leap. It was a good value evening ran well. Everyone enjoyed themselves and were made to feel welcome. We were a group of mixed ages and all agreed that it was a great night. As a business you can spend and train but you can't buy the personal touch and this place goes above and beyond to apply it. Well done all involved.

A great evening with friends for a last minute work do and it did not disappoint! Food was amazing and staff were friendly. What a lovely atmosphere and great pub. We will be back soon! Thank you!

The KP on sunday during dinner was absolutely rubbish. Dirty plates and glasses everywhere. It's a great pub however they need new cleaning staff. And i have been told the KP has been leaving the kitchen a state aswell.

Visitamos aquí el domingo 27 de octubre para el almuerzo dominical. Por suerte habíamos reservado ya que era muy popular con un gran ambiente. 2 de nuestra fiesta tenían hígado y cebolla, los otros 2 tenían los Asados. Todos salieron calientes y se presentaron bien. Las verduras estaban perfectamente cocidas, no una papilla y la carne estaba tierna y suculenta. Una mención especial debe ser para Heather que nos sirvió. Ella tenía un encantador sentido del humor y hizo nuestra experiencia aún mejor. Sin duda volveremos y recomiendo encarecidamente el Salmon Leap, solo asegúrese de reservar. Gracias Katrina.

What a lovely lunch highly recommend the gammon roast. And the desserts are to die for my only complaint is they are to yummy

Had a wonderful Sunday roast with the family at the Salmon Leap today. Food was wonderful and great value, staff were amazing and made our Sunday lunch very pleasurable. Will definitely go back. 🤩

Lovely Stuffed Trout and other Fish Friday specials this lunchtime. Pub was fairly quiet. Good service as usual. Puddings were good too. Real ale is always available.

Only stayed for a pint, whilst waiting for my son to finish work. A decent pint, a sd a bubbly atmosphere.

We went here for lunch recently. It was very lively and friendly when we went with a large group of people in, however the service was still excellent. There were a couple of cask ales on plus the usual drinks you expect from a pub. We had three courses and all were good (especially the roly-poly) with generous portions. Main courses were about £10-£15 I think. There is a nice circular walk from right beside the pub and a car park. There is a decent garden at the back and the pub is dog friendly.

Lisa served our table, the service she gave us along with all the other tables was absolutely outstanding, she makes a lovely pub even more special. Very nice pub. We only had a couple of beers but the staff were friendly. Also, they were helpful when my elderly father thought he'd left his wallet behind. Fortunately, he hadn't.

Our family and our dog visited this pub for lunch recently whilst staying in the area. We received a friendly welcome and we advised where we could sit with our dog. The waitress was lovely and polite - she explained all the specials available and discussed any intolerances/ dietary requirements we had. Our drinks came quickly as did our food. It was lovely to hear that my chips were cooked in a GF fryer, so no chance of contamination. Our food was all really tasty - we all had a variety of sandwiches (mine GF) and they were nice and well presented. I would recommend this pub to all.

The Salmon Leap is a great place set back in a residential area as opposed to Totton High Street, great food, and sensible pricing and an extensive menu, good beers on tap, well worth a visit, the staff are really welcoming.

Went there for Sunday lunch as we heard good things about the place and we live a few minutes away. Loads of options for Sunday roast meats, portions are huge and moderately priced, pork roast had no crackling or crispy parsnip, the lady explained that they sold out and had none left. We did enjoy our visit, and probably will be back for a visit next time.

Been a couple of times recently and each visit the service was very friendly & welcoming and the food did not disappoint! All freshly prepared & excellent value. A traditional local pub serving fresh local homemade food. Thoroughly recommend & will continue to visit in the future.

Good quality home made food. Good selection on the menu as well as a specials board and kids menu for the little ones. Not the cheapest but you do get what you pay for and not cooked by ping chefs.

We came for a family lunch, having different taste we found the menue very accommodating for us and reasonably priced. They also offer gluten free options and made sure any allergies we had were noted. The restaurant area is very clean, bright and well laid out and would be ideal for a function venue as it can be separated off. The service was great, nothing too much trouble for them and special thanks goes to Heather and Sarah Jane who were very friendly and helpful. The food arrived quickly and together, no long waiting and was delicious (especially the chips). So thanks to the chef. This is the 2nd time we have been and most certainly not the last. When we arrived we were wandering aimlessly through the pub and it took a while to be greeted. When sat down we were given menus and they were quite clean however, slightly overpriced food. Service was quite quick however after ordering, we waited 50 minutes to get our food even though the pub was pretty quiet and the people in there were just drinking. When we received our lunch we were shocked. My partner had ordered the egg ham and chips and the ham was like it came from the sandwich meats section of Tesco. I had a fish finger sandwhich was quite nice however it was accompanied by some vegetable crisps not listed on the menu. The condiments were strange tasting, especially the black pepper. Overall was not a pleasurable experience and wouldn’t go back. However the staff were lovely and very chatty.

My family and I come here for every occasion, best pub around! The pub is modern and clean and the staff couldn’t be more helpful, friendly and lovely. We always book a large table of 14 with children and a wheelchair, they couldn’t be better with children and they are very accommodating and accessible for my mum in a wheelchair. Would highly recommend their roast dinner but all their food is delicious. Great portion size and always fresh and hot, served with a smile. Thankyou Salmon leap, see you again soon!

Toilets are a disgrace. At a function up the stairs. Licensing should have look at this. Not one single door locked on the cubicle. Would definitely put me off returning.

We love everything about the salmon leap, near to our home, warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Eric has been landlord for many years. Big shout out to Heather, Lisa and team Food is amazing, home cooked and great value for money, quite often come here for a breakfast on the weekend with friends. Then we tried the roasts!!! Wow, I am fussy when it comes to a Sunday roasts, been here now for three roasts, highly recommend and again great value, feel so privileged to have the salmon leap right on our doorstep

The small roast cost me £10 which could easily could have passed as a large roast ! Exceptional and friendly staff members Will be coming again asap

Absolutely fantastic pub! Great staff so friendly and so welcoming. What really topped it off was the Roast dinners they are lovely and extremely reasonably priced 😊 I don’t think you can get a roast at that price anywhere nowadays. Even had cauliflower cheese and not as an extra with lovely seasonal mixed veg and perfect meats… Really worth a visit 💯!! Oh and forgot to mention the crumble and custard pudding! 🥰

Just entered there for a coffee. But the location is good and the pub seemed really nice. Unfortunately I cannot comment the food but when I entered there some customers were eating a nice looking breakfast (5 stars ). I could leave my car parked there after I had my coffee, so I went to visit the near River (the path for the walk is more or less next to the park). You can really have a nice day if the weather is good 👍

Visited for Sunday roast today and both the food and table service were first class. The gammon was succulent and cooked perfectly. The home made cauliflower cheese and gravy were to die for. Highly recommended.
