Big Blue Cafe in New Forest

Took an elderly friend in for some brunch. We both throughly enjoyed our visit. The food was fresh and lovely. I got the biggest breakfast baguette I’ve ever seen! Was lovely. My friend got a jacket potato and he said it was lovely. He really enjoyed getting out the house and into the great atmosphere at the cafe. Even better that dogs are allowed! Thanks guys.

First visit this morning. Very cheap prices here and the food looked very good! Only had a black coffee which was a cheap £2.50. Good to see it quite busy. I will try the food next time for sure

As always the food was fabulous, the cafe is always busy which is a credit to everyone who works there. We will be back again next week.

This place is tucked away and hard to find but definitely worth it when you get there. The service is friendly and helpful, prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. Good portions and v tasty! There was a good mix of customers from families to workmen. The cafe is dog friendly and has a small play area for kids. Absolute gem!

Best breakfast in the New Forest area. In the corner of an industrial estate so not obvious but well worth the visit. Very reasonably priced, local ingredients and they love dogs and have a lovely little wooden kitchen for children to play in. Staff are so friendly. Couldn’t ask for more!

A great chance find when travelling in the New Forest with my campervan. Just Googled 'breakfast near me' and there I was! Went back for brunch next day. Cheap and very cheerful, with friendly staff. Good variety of dishes. Shame it's only Monday to Friday.

We’ve been trying different places to eat when on our dog walks and found this one in the middle of a business park , we both had a fell English breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the food , great price and dog friendly too!

A terrific cafe tucked away on an industrial estate. Very nicely cooked breakfast at a great price. Staff very friendly and efficient. The seating is basic but good enough and the tables cleaned between guests. Well worth a visit if you're nearby.

This review is based on my experience on the day and could be different for you, but I doubt it. Have a friend who works on this industrial estate and she is always raving about this cafe in the corner of the middle section of the estate. I was down there having my car repaired and I went to see her and this cafe she raves about. One out of two ain’t bad, she wasn’t working the day I went to the estate! I went in and once inside this cafe it opens up and is quite large with plenty of seating and very clean with regular cleaning if all surfaces. Ordered of food is at the very end of the opened area on the right. Ok, I didn’t go for the full breakfast, but the options were many, as shown on the wall and menu, even I believe for vegetarians and vegans (pretty sure) all I had was a bacon/sausage sandwich on white bread, a couple of hash browns as a side order and a Caramel latte. Superb, tasty, very substantial and on very nice bread as I have said previously. Coffee was equally tasty with a caramel sause. There is an area where you can get sauces, sugars (brown & white), unsure about sweetness, probably, mayo, salad cream etc. Believe they also do cakes but I did not have one as I was quite full at that stage. The service was first class, polite happy even at 8.00am in the morning, spacious with plenty of seating. Before you arrive, or have any eating disorders, can’t eat certain things or have any doubt about how they prepare the food, eating requirements etc etc etc I would call them in advance and check to avoid disappointment or upset or illness. I have warned you!

Top notch breakfast at a reasonable price. I just wish the burger rolls didn't disintegrate while you eat them.

Sadly bacon was pre cooked and dry as hell. Shame, as its the quickest item to cook and so much effort went in to all the other parts of the breakfast, it really let it down

Loved the idea of trying a new place to me. But my bacon sandwich was very poor. Virtually cold bacon, and very dry, appears to have been standing under heat lamps too long and not freshly cooked

What a fab diner. Open Mon to Fri to serve the trading estate business'. We parked on Ibbotson road and walked into the trading estate. Great menu selection, including options for vegan / vegetarian / gluten free. Our son loved the brownie milkshake! We came for cooked breakfast. Good value. Fab area for youngsters to play.

Super little café in a busy complex. Very friendly staff that are always welcoming. Cannot rate the food high enough, from homemade cakes to yummy specials throughout the year. Dog friendly, which is lovely to see when they are eating the doggy breakfasts. I have recommended to a few people and will carry on doing so.

Had a full English and cup of tea. Clean, friendly, excellent high quality ingredients cooked perfectly. It was a bit cold ( not food) but it is winter😁. Keep your coat on.

Absolutely fabulous place! Friendly staff, great food and good prices too. My son had the breakfast and I had smashed avo and poached eggs and it was all absolutely delicious. Shame we live so far away, but next time we catch a ferry from Southampton we will definitely be calling in.

Great service and fantastic food. Had the brie, bacon and cranberry sauce toastie. Great quality produce cooked to perfection. My wife and daughter had the gammon, mozzarella and dijon mustard toastie. We all loved the food and hope to be back soon with our dog.

We had our morning meeting with our manager in the Big Blue Cafe today, the staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was amazing, lots of food at a reasonable price. 5 star, can’t wait to come back again!!

I dropped my wife off swimming and me and my dog would go to the cafe id have a gluten free full breakfast and doggie would have a puppychino. Good friendly service yummy breakfast we went 3 times in a week says it all.

Only open Monday-Friday and I believe they shut around 3pm, but what a hidden gem. Delicious and fresh home cooked food, vast menu, very reasonable price. Dog friendly, family friendly and seem to be very community focused. Also love their little selection of food and craft products you can buy

Easiest review I have had to make. "BEST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER HAD!" I have a fry up every Friday as a builder and this has everything... quality, big portions and very well priced!! Love this place. Staff are lovely. When it's busy they lack in clearing the tables quickly. We had to clear dirty plates to sit down. Unfortunately the card machine was down which meant they wanted Bacs however there is no mobile service in the restaurant. Food was lovely...

Travelling back from our camping trip we wanted a nice breakfast for our journey home and decided to stay away from motorway services. Researched cafes nearby and The Big Blue Cafe came up with 5 star reviews 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩. The breakfast was so tasty, the staff were so nice and friendly. Service with smiles. We’re one happy family. The tea was also great!! New forest tea Co. Oh and they even butter your toast! So no faffing with little packets 🤩

What a little treasure this place is. Just a minor detour from our route to Calshot. Situated in an industrial type park. There was an extensive menu. We were there for breakfast, obviously, the most important meal of the day. The food was hot, fresh and tasted amazing

Great Café, great value for money. There is a large breakfast and lunch menu on a chalk board. They provide delicious freshly cooked food using great locally sourced produce. Try their yummy Welsh Rarebit! There's a great selection hot and cold drinks as well as lots of cakes and snacks too. Really nice people! Parking is free on site and the entrances are wheelchair friendly. There are toilets in the business centre.

Don't be fooled, by the name "cafe" or being on an industrial estate. This is a whole different world away from a greasy spoon. The food is excellent, well cooked, delicious and locally sourced. The staff are efficient, friendly and accommodating to your needs. Their menu is wide, varied and includes items for vegetarians and people with allergies. The food is also excellent value for money. We were looking for somewhere to have breakfast on the way down to the New Forest and this came up on a search and had good reviews Don't be fooled by the fact it is on a business park - this is no greasy spoon cafe. It's basic food done at it's very best and at a sensible price. We both had a massive fryup which set us up for the entire day. The sausage rolls (they are MASSIVE) are amazing as is the cake. If you are living near Southampton forget Greggs!

We found this place via trip advisor, and so glad we made the effort to come and find it, it’s tucked away in the corner of a business estate. If you’re staying up here for family peppa pig holiday this place is well worth your visit for breakfast. This is the perfect example of a business that needs and deserves your custom after lockdown.... the staff are so attentive, there is a little kids toy kitchen and chalks to keep your little one happy, and the food is great. We had the bacon pancake stacks and a chocolate banana toastie for the little one... all were very hot and tasty. There’s a great selection of breakfast items (lunch meals also available) food is available to eat in, take away, click and collect or local delivery Staff can’t do enough for you, and after having Facebook strip all their reviews they need your business.

This was an afternoon Tea delivered to my home. All the ingredients were fresh, there was plenty of it , very filling. The lemon mousse was Devine. I would definitely recommend this as a gift or special treat.

How has this little treasure been on our doorstep for sooo many years & we didn’t know!! Food extremely tasty & much locally sourced. Extensive menu, had difficulty deciding what to choose! Super friendly service - not at all just for the surrounding workers, very welcoming to families. Couldn’t have been more friendly & nothing too much trouble. All COVID measures in place. Have been back a few times since August & could have written this review each time! My only criticism... BLUE 😱 surely it has to be Red in this part of the South 🤣🤣 Forgiven as sooo good 😇

Been coming to this cafe for years and was glad when it re opened after lockdown. The COVID measures in place are very reassuring and the food continues to be good. If you can’t find something to suit then you must be very fussy. I have commented in the past about the food and those comments still apply but I think that the excellent measures I place need mentioning especially for those that are apprehensive about eating out.

Increíble experiencia de café.¿Mi novia me llevó a un parque industrial ayer a la hora del almuerzo? y sorprendentemente obtuve algo que no esperaba.Era un aguacate muy sabroso sobre tostadas de granero con huevo escalfado y tocino rayado.Esta fue mi primera experiencia en Big Blue Cafe y el propietario cambió las mesas y la decoración interna, y el lugar es esencialmente un café de mercado con un menú muy amplio para elegir.Se está llevando a cabo una desinfección y marcas de piso claras y extremadamente seguras para la corona.La calidad de la comida era excelente, el precio era excelente, el personal era amable y servicial con todo, incluso nos atendieron después de la hora de cierre, que era a las 3 pm.Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita descarada de nuevo, ya que hay tantas opciones de comida deliciosa disponibles.

Staff are lovely, food outstanding!! Todays home made hock pie was huge, had to take leftovers home, it was too good to leave. The best bit is that it doesn't break the bank so you can go more often and not have to cook for yourself.

Ok, so it's on a small industrial estate, but DO NOT let that put you off, on the edge of the New Forest. For those of us lucky enough to have found the big blue cafe, know you can park out on the main road and stroll in. The service is always top class, friendly chatty staff happy to help. All the food they use is locally sourced. The sausages are to die for! Home made cakes and the best home made shortbread I've ever tasted comes with our coffees.We have a full house, customised to just what we like and the staff have put a note of our breakfast on the wall so no matter who's working we get our 'usual'. What can I say?! Fantastic. As well as regularly eating here with my colleague I have also been here with the family, including 3 kids! Absolutely great for all of us, everyone left stuffed and content! I would recommend popping in here if you're passing and if you're not, it's so well worth the trip too.

Pensé que aprovecharía la oportunidad de probar este restaurante local. Habiéndome hartado de Ronald McDonald, pensé que un cambio sería tan bueno como un descanso y pedí un té y un té inglés completo. WOW no podría fallar, muy buena relación calidad-precio. Bonito, limpio, ordenado, comida cocinada a mi gusto y mejor y muy amigable ambiente y personal. Parece una comunidad muy agradable para los comercios que trabajan en el estado, me alegro de haberlo encontrado a solo un kilómetro y medio de donde vivo, volveré, ¡y aparentemente tengo que llevarme a mi esposa la próxima vez! ! ! !

We visit once a week at least for our breakfast sometimes more and can honestly say it is the best cafe in the area. Everything is cooked fresh, great quality, quantity and excellent value for money.

Fantastic cooked breakfasts, friendly staff, local produce THE place for a top notch English breakfast. Go here most weeks for the obligatory fry up. Highly recommended.
