Colloseos in Brighton and Hove

Wonderful, warm welcome upon arrival. Large, interesting menu. Food beautifully presented and very tasty. |Service first class. Great value. Recommended

I treated my family to a lovely meal at colosseo restaurant and absolutely everyone enjoyed theire food . We had 3 grilled filet steaks cooked to perfection 1 medium 2 medium rare with sauce on the side,. 2 grilled salmon with tropical orange sauce, Both my wife and niece loved the salmon. I would highly recommend to give a try to my friend&family Thank you Billy and team, specially for looking after and being patient with my 2 year old baby girl. God bless, See you soon

We three girls were meeting up for a bit of a reunion, as we went to school together, many years ago. We decided on Colosseo as it was central for us. None of us had been to the restaurant before but the reviews all suggested it was worth visiting…..we are so glad we did. We were warmly greeted, given our menus and were left to settle down, chat and peruse the really great menu. Each of us ordered a glass of wine, one rose, one red, and one white….all were very nice indeed. Eventually, as we were (to be fair), chatting a lot, we ordered our lunch. My two friends both opted for the chicken Milanese, a huge escalope accompanied by a generous portion of spaghetti in a tomato sauce. Both friends said it was delicious. I opted for the Risotto Pescatora. It arrived with fabulous fresh seafood, so delicious! I skipped dessert as I was absolutely full. My friends opted for a traditional Nonna’s tart, and Mango sorbet. We had some coffee and a tea, a perfect end to a perfect meal. In addition I ordered two portions of lasagne and some bolognaise sauce to take home and freeze. Absolutely perfect meal, great company, and superb service. Thank you…..we will return

Beautiful restaurant. Food choice and value fantastic. Staff,especially the fabulous Audrey waited on customers with style and charm. The owner engaged with all customers not just his returning customers. It was a real pleasure to dine here. I have no reservations in recommending this restaurant and advise that you book well in advance.

We were a group of seven just on a night out. The welcome was warm and friendly, it’s a very pleasant restaurant. Cosy with a lovely atmosphere but immaculately clean. The food was amazing, we all managed ( just ) three courses and each plate went back totally empty. Really good choice so all of us were well catered for. I would highly recommend.

Having read the amazing reviews and being recommended by a friend, my wife and I visited this restaurant for lunch. It was amazing. The food was really, really good, well presented and was incredibly tasty. Nothing was too much trouble for Billy, the owner and we had a really enjoyable lunch, with fantastic service. My no salt diet was not a problem and we would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant and look forward to going back. An absolute gem of a restaurant.

We had a brilliant meal at the Colosseo in Boundary Road Portslade today celebrating our wedding anniversary. I recommend you try it. I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

As always, the food was outstanding and so was the service. Linguine with clams and spaghetti bolognese simply delicious; the wine list offers a good selection and the prices are very reasonable. We wish we lived in the area but even so it’s worth the journey across town to visit Colosseo.

Had our Anniversary meal here on Saturday night and had an absolutely wonderful meal thanks to Billy and his amazing team. As always the food is amazing, the staff are fantastic and there is just such a beautiful atmosphere in this wonderful Restaurant. Thank you Billy and Team so much. Rose and Jim.

What a pleasure to be heartily welcomed into a family run proper Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was magical and the food excelled in every way.

During our visit to Hove for Valentine’s Day, we had a recommendation to dine at the Colosseo and we were not disappointed. We were greeted as long absent friends and enjoyed a most amazing experience. All the staff were most attentive and friendly, the food was spectacular, the ambience and humour, unique. Our only regret is that we don’t live in the area but we plan on making future visits to Hove, if only to relive that experience.

This was our 2nd visit. Our first to the restaurant around 4 months ago was by chance following a long walk. We were most impressed by the food, and also found the staff personable and engaging, and researching later we were not surprised how highly it was ranked on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. This was a totally fulfilling experience, and I would go so far as to say that if was perfect. I've been eating Pollo Milanese for many years and I would say that this was the best I've had. Soft and delicate throughout. This is the first review I have done for over 10 years, and I felt compelled to reregister with Trip Advisor to post it.

I have visited here several times over the years and am always met with a warm and friendly face. The service is great, the food fantastic and authentic Italian. In my view, it is the perfect restaurant, small, local and home cooked food. Very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend. In my most recent visit, two of us had a starter each, main (one pizza, one pasta), shared a desert and have two alcoholic drinks, it came to £60 which I think is more than reasonable for what we had. 5*

My first visit since the summer. Went for dinner with Christmas party of 17 people. Everybody chose their starter and main course in advance. The food and service were both excellent. 5 stars! Billy and the rest of the staff were brilliant. Food was excellent...

Went here for lunch with 7 girlfriends, great food and service , would highly recommend the owner / waiter very attentive and great fun . Will definitely go again and recommend. Thankyou for a lovely lunch .

Our experience was fantastic from the start (greeted by the owner by the booking name), gorgeous piping hot food at a very reasonable price. The restaurant was buzzing, every customer was smiling/ laughing and enjoying their dining experience. The best customer service we’ve found anywhere....

Great spot, the food was excellent without long wait times. Staff were very welcoming, one of the waitors (Billy) remembered me from my phone call and made the experience really enjoyable. Great vibes, definitely recommend!
