A great evening. Well thought out tasting menu, well cooked and delicious. Lovely waiting staff and chefs. Highly recommended. Very obliging catering for restricted diets.

Excellent, good quality food, cooked, served and delivered by trainees, which would show many local restaurants how to provide food to their customers. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Well... normally I would rate East Avenue as 'excellent', however last night took it to a whole new level! A four course menu for MND and Alzheimer's charity night. The amount of preparation and detail was outstanding. Each course told its own story. My photographs do not do it justice! The portions appear small, but trust me I have a healthy appetite and was completely full by the end. The mackerel took the star prize for me, delicious and just melted in the mouth, the other 3 courses were a close second! So much hard work went into that, well done future chefs !

Wonderful meal - fabulous blue cheese starter, smoked mackerel fish course, sumptuous chicken breast followed by an incredible chocolate tart - great service you really should try this place!!

Although we have lived fairly locally for many years, we had not been aware of this place until some friends took us last night. What a brilliant evening. A set 4 course menu all very well done, with chats with the students, supervisor and the chefs as we went though the evening. We will return. Thanks.

I have enjoyed some very good meals at East Avenue restaurant but this was not up to their usual standard. The service was excellent. My first course was tortellini and there were only a few of them without any discernible sauce. My second course was fish pie. Whilst the dish arrived hot and I enjoyed the hispi cabbage accompaniment I thought that there was too much potato and not enough fish or varieties of fish in the pie. The dish needed more colourful vegetables accompanying it too - carrot or roast red pepper would have been good. Finally, the panna cotta which was supposed to be cherry flavoured didn't really taste of anything. It definitely needed something to lift the flavour.

Guest chef night.... Alistair Lawson from The Montague Arms. Absolutely first class meal as always (sorry if the menu is a little blurred, it looks fine in the photo!). Although we thought the portions were a little small, we were surprised we were full at the end, so they obviously had it right and we were being greedy! Looked after well by the waiting staff, lovely atmosphere and the meal was cooked to perfection. Sadly our last visit for this school year, but we'll be chomping at the bit for next September. We've really enjoyed seeing the students grow under the careful eye of Sue. A few are absolutely stand out stars of the future and we can't wait!

What a wonderful place! We had a 4 course Christmas meal, and the food was amazing. It did not disappoint. I wish I had taken photos of the meals, they were beautifully presented by polite, knowledgeable and extremely professional students. The prices were so reasonable and I feel this place is a secret gem. We loved it so much, we have booked to go back in a few weeks.

The food here is excellent. It is cooked by students training for a career in restaurants, but the standard of food is that of a high quality restaurants. If you didn’t know if it was a college you would have no idea it was cooked by students. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also nice.

It's always a pleasure to go to East Avenue - the restaurant run by the Hospitality students at Eastleigh College. The food is excellent - prepared, cooked and served by the students. Great atmosphere and the meals are a terrific price....very good value.

Simply amazing food and service. High end quality food at a fraction of the price. Especially recommend the Broccoli and Stilton Soup and the Liver was cooked and served to perfection. Will definitely be returning.

I was a student at eastleigh college,decided to come back with my family for lunch. All the food we had was amazing and looked incredible. Couldn't fault it. Definitely will be back soon for another fantastic meal.

Fabulous 3-course meal cooked by the Junior Chefs. The tomato soup (which is always my favourite) was the best I've ever had, really wonderful. I also had the roast chicken which was packed with wonderful flavours. Following all that, I just manged to eat the beautifully made pannacotta. Everything cooked fresh and made in their kitchens - even the wonderful vanilla ice cream and tagliatelle pasta my daughter had! Couldn't ask for anything better than this!

First evening service o of the autumn term, and everything was superb. The fish was spot on! The land was even better! In fact better than, a couple of restaurants with stars that I've been to.

Seeing our future hospitality stars was great. Being able to give the students first hand experience in a restaurant is so important. Being able to practice and perfect their skills. Great food and service, keep up the fantastic work.

Just had our first dinner here, and it certainly won't be our last. Excellent set menu all served to perfection. Waiting staff were polite and attentive. Drinks were very nice, we enjoyed a couple of mocktails. Food was very impressive!

We had the 4 course tasting menu, which comprised of a goats cheese tartlet, followed by a cod fillet, then a rump of lamb, followed by millionaire shortcake cheese cake and tea or coffee. Each course was beautiful and we would highly recommend a visit....
