Well, it was our final visit to the Lakeside Cabin last week. What a wonderful hidden gem this cafe is, and it is going to be very much missed by so many, now that it has closed its doors.
The food exquisite, so tastefully presented, especially all those gorgeous cakes, mouth watering! The location and setting, along with the amazing family who ran it made it a very happy place to be.
Thank you ‘A’ team, for making our trips an unforgettable and enjoyable experience. So sad that you have gone, but we wish you all the best in your new venture. We will DEFINITELY come and find you at Pydar Mews in Truro.
we had amazing food served with friendly, professional service. Despite being fully booked the attention to detail was wonderful. Well done to Ceri and Matt for running Restaurant Four so well!
Fat Apples Cafe is one of our favourite cafes anywhere - fresh honest food served with a smile and always utterly delicious - there’s something for everyone at sensible prices - it’s such a treat to enjoy food created with love and care - thanks so much Fat Apples Team x
We have eaten here many times, but have just very sadly read, that Taste has closed permanently at the end of April. We wish you all the best with whatever path you take in the future x
We visited Lizard Point on April 2nd and Wavecrest was a must do on our list. Their tea and scones are delicous and the view is outstanding. While enjoying our tea and scones watching seals play in the water below. Highly recommend. This was our second visit and can’t wait to go back again.
Amazing, Ben, staff. Local and used by locals. A local young man and family paid for our breakfast today.Thankyou . My friend and I moved to give them more room . They had 5week old 🐥, and young son. Xx Breakfast again next. ENJOY 😊
We were really impressed!
Very tasty food and really chilled and friendly service.
We’ll be back later this week and we’d highly recommend you doing the same :)
I stayed at the Old Mill House and the whole experience was 5 🌟. The breakfast choices were delicious and locally sourced . The most perfect scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.
Dinner was amazing, again local produce cooked to perfection. I had Scallops and then Hake followed by the best tia Maria liquor coffee (no canned whipped cream here, hand whipped)
Would also recommend the local beer, pink cider, and wine from Padstow.
Service and atmosphere were great and nothing was too much trouble. I felt comfortable eating alone.
Would highly recommend.
We booked a table for a large family gathering. Service was spot on, efficient and friendly. Food was fantastic. Lots of veggie options and sensible prices. Good coffee. Overall, great experience.
A really friendly welcome this morning.we were first in for breakfast shortly after opening time. The staff were really nice and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and coffee so good we had a second cup, this set us up for our day on the next stage of the South West Coast path. A great find.
A friend who lives locally suggested we have lunch here and it was a great choice. We were lucky to get the last table upstairs on a Friday lunchtime. She had a ham and cheese toastie with salad, I chose the frittata with the smoky beans and everything was delicious. You have to pay in another building next door but one on leaving, and the very pleasant girl there offered me a 10% voucher to use in the bakery opposite. As it was Valentine’s Day we chose a couple of heart shaped brownies and they were gooey, chocolatey perfection.
An outstanding experience! The service, ambience and food were exceptional. Classical cookery with superb flavour combinations. Thank you so much for a fantastic evening to the team, we will be back.... soon!
I originally come from this part of Cornwall and Jumunjy had been recommended to me by several locals that I know. The food, the service, and the decor did not disappoint and we had an excellent evening. Before visiting I had looked at the menu and thought it looked a little on the expensive side but the actual bill at the end of the evening seemed reasonable, particularly given the quality of the food.
So sad to hear that our favourite tea rooms has closed. Thank you to Suzy, Dave, Ryan and Teresa for being so friendly and welcoming to our family over the past few years. As mentioned by others your scones were simply the best and all food, cakes and drinks so lovingly prepared. We were so glad to have been able to make one last visit during October. There was nowhere else we would have made a 180 mile round trip to visit for sure. Wishing you all the very best for the future.
