Not as good as it used to be, 40 minute wait for a luke warm piece of cod. Now a waiter service bringing your drinks, what was up with the way it used be, if its not broke don’t fix it. Such a shame.
Only 2 sandwiches to choose from. Queuing for20 mins, as 2 staff which is the normal. Several people gave up waiting. Hot chocolate drinks watery and barely warm. No gluten free available. If no improvement possible, should be closed. Terrible advert for Costa!!
We were celebrating a family member’s birthday & had a gorgeous meal, Each course perfection! Fantastic chef Angela & lovely bar staff💕
Thank you all !
There is a shop & a cafe here, both super friendly and it overlooks the railway station so you can see the trains pull in. We turned up literally 5 minutes before the last train was due in & then they close. The cafe staff were clearly cleaning everything and packing up. We asked for 3 takeaway teas and the lady served us, which i was very grateful for as we were cold and a hot drink was very welcome. I also managed to squeeze a quick purchase at the shop as well. We also saw the last train draw up which was good timing on our part. Friendly and really nice people. Thank you.
The food was old, cold and crusty. Was so not worth the £21pp!
Majority of the options were empty so there was even less to choose from!
My partner raved so much about this restaurant but he swears it’s gone down hill so much and will not be returning.
Visited this pub and carvery lastnight for a family meal !!! Well what more can I say ! It was out of this world the ribs are to die for and the carvery was hot and fresh !! Just a great place to eat out with a good feel factor
We popped in after a long walk on beach and found a little gem of a pub! Very busy but was greeted by Henry who was very attentive and chatty decided to check out menu for the noodle bar. Glad we did! It was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely return
We popped into the Leon restaurant before boarding the train to France. It was a Friday around 18:00 and we waited around 7 minutes to be served. The staff were pleasant and took our order.
When the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised as it was very tasty.
I will most definitely go back when travelling to France.
Some of my reviews may seem unforgiving but I come from a time when everything was not “Awesome” and “near enough was not good enough”. So, if I say something is “Excellent” that is because it is somewhere better than most others… and well worth considering visiting.
I hope this review was of help, please consider following my travels & reviews in the autumn of my life.
Waiting 15 minutes to be seated, very expensive for what it is and to top it off ordered chips x4 and all came with salt without request and a dirty folk to eat my chips with! When confronted no opology just sorry mate. Not your mate I'm a customer refer me to sir... Won't visit again!
Pass by many times but this time I have decided to give it a try and do my usual coffee break here. The space is alright, the service was okay and the coffee was good. The atmosphere was not the best but the location compensate. I will come back for another coffee breaks.
Quite simply the very best chinese takeaway tasted in all my years - twice
Two separate orders on different days and both were wonderful. Not mass produced and quantity over quality.
Just the right amount for one or two either way - thank you
Nothing golden about this place anymore, since new ownership the quality has slipped astronomically. Missing item in order, refused to deliver them up the road. Dry and inedible if you ask me, no good Chinese in Hythe anymore. New wok in cheriton is the only place to go for good Chinese in our opinion.
