Visited this pub and carvery lastnight for a family meal !!! Well what more can I say ! It was out of this world the ribs are to die for and the carvery was hot and fresh !! Just a great place to eat out with a good feel factor

We went here for a carvery and would like to take the time to acknowledge Harry, one of the staff. If it was not for him the queue for food would have been out the door, tables would have been left dirty and the bar would have had yet another queue. He jumped in and served everywhere professionally. The other staff could not even be bothered to ask us what we wanted when we were being served our carvery.

Very disappointing, worst meals ever. 3 half chicken and a burger (ribs not available). Food was dry and inedible. Cutlery dirty. Total waste of money, no Customer service, no one appeared in charge. Floor and table was sticky, I would avoid.

Decided to go out for lunch today for a treat. Went to Neptune as close by and not been for years as had bad experience in the past but friends said they had new chef and we wasn't disappointed. The carvery was lovely and although busy the staff worked really hard. I don't normally write reviews but felt Codie, Jess and Karen should get a mention, as kept smiling though busy. Hats off to Ian the Chef and to James. See you next Sunday guys.Anna

came into today with my family when we first arrived was unsure whether we would be seated due to the volume of people (we hadn’t booked) but was pleasantly surprised when told that we could be seated. the young waitress her name was jess,she was absolutely incredible and could not do enough for our table nothing was too big of an ask especially as a “fussy” table. she was also really good with my two children. the food was beautiful and much better quality compared to past visits we were really surprised at how much things have improved since last year and will definitely be returning! 4 happy people and 4 full tummy’s.

We visited on Sunday 27th june. It was really busy but the staff were very helpful nothing was too much trouble. Tables were constantly being sanitised, we felt very safe by the cleanliness that was being carried out. Now the food well what can I say we had carverys and food from the main menu and they were all delicious they came out hot and well presented. We went up and got our carvery and was told we could go up again for more veg if we wanted it was lovely piping hot and and spot on. We will be returning

Terrible service and awful food. No cutlery, food was cold and tasted reheated. Very limited menu. Would not recommend!

Absolutely brilliant food and service! Our waitress cody was fantastic! So bubbly and positive. The food was delicious! We all had carveries, meat was cooked to perfection, and the veg was amazing.

Visited with my family as was staying in a nearby caravan park , service was outstanding , chef was friendly and the food (roast dinner) was superb ,can't wait to go back. Thank you Neptune

Amazing service watching football in the busy pub.it was full on and I was impressed with Karen,Harry,Marion and jess with how they dealt with frustrated customers. Due to having to having to have table service thanks to Boris.a professional way they calmed customers and continued serving being happy great atmosphere. I take my gat off to them as I couldn't do it.will ve back for next England match as confident of a good night.

The Neptune had amazing food the carvery is great value for money. Even when busy food arrives quite quick. Staff are lovely Karen, Harry and mason were great servers and catered to all our needs. Would highly recommend and would eat here again. Thank you for makes our night so enjoyable!

Service was slightly slow but staff tried very hard especially Gary who was very attentive and gave great customer service!!

I hate to say this the food tonight (16 June) was appalling. No chicken ( not told by waitress husband had to queue up at bar to be told) , so ordered roast beef and burger. Also children's fish fingers. Sat down staff member hady to come and get a reorder as no roast beef. Asked for children's meal to be brought quickly as 2 yr old was starving. Fish finger were grey. Chips were ok. Roast pork was a disgusting mess. Flavourless tepid overcooked. Looked like it was cooked last week. Burger horrible. Onion rings cold - chips were ok. Left before we had children's dessert was concerned that would ruin the ice cream. Honestly what is going on. Poor staff were run off their feet not their fault the good was crap.

Absolutely fantastic service and amazing staff. Would recommend this place to anyone. Food is outstanding. Such a welcoming place to visit 🙂

We didn't have the carvery as they didn't have some of the meats when we went, so we ordered pigs in blankets & quesadillas for our starters & two of the Angus burgers for the mains off of their menu. They were absolutely gorgeous!! I would definitely recommend to anyone they where really lovely definitely have them again. The burgers where really well cooked, barely any grease the chips where perfectly crispy outside but lovely & soft/fluffy on the inside, the corn on the cob on the otherhand with slightly overdone but otherwise overall the food tasted amazing, probably one of the best meals I've had in awhile. Apparently it's a new chef he's only been there about 3 months but he's doing a really good job all the food that was coming out smelt amazing & made me want to try everything but I didn't have the money & my belly was already too full.. The only downfall I do have to say the service wasn't fantastic we had to wait a while to order because the bartender kept disappearing & leaving the bar with a massive que, I don't know if he was new possibly was & was just trying to do too much ar once so maybe it could do with some more stuff for rush hour or a self service screen or tablet that's at the tables so there's no need to get up at all then the barman could just concentrate on people at the bar while someone else deals with the table orders etc.Otherwise I will be definitely visiting here the next time I'm in Dunchurch.

Arrived at 8.00 O’clock on Wednesday and shown to a table. 10 minutes later we tried to order our food only to be told that the Kitchen had shut for the night.This should have raised alarm bells.We returned the next night at 6.30 to make sure that we gave ourselves plenty of time to order food.We were shown our table and told that there was Pork ,Beef and Gammon for roast dinner.We ordered four Roast Beefs and a Burger.Half an hour later we were approached by a young waitress to be told that the Beef was no longer available and there was a choice of Pork or Gammon.When I approached the Bar and questioned the Manageress and Bar Man they both looked at each other and proceeded to tell me that the waitress had Mia informed me.So we sat back down expecting our Roast Beef.Half hour later the young waitress brings our food out.Pork and Gammon!!!!!I explained that we ordered Beef and not Gammon and Beef. The waitress then started to tell me that I ordered Beef and Gammon.Excuse me you g lady but I didn’t even order my food with you I ordered at the Bar.The managers and Barman came over and confirmed this.Anyway I could go on.Finally the food arrived and it was reheated processed meat.AWFULL FOOD.Oh and the Angus Burger looked and tasted like a plain burger from Iceland.It came with a chips.When I asked where the corn on the cobb was I was told that they had run out but they gave me extra chips.Whoopy whoopy. Extra chips.We did complain as you can imagine.Save your hard earned money and avoid at all cost.

We visit quite often and there have been changes each time throughout the pandemic as staff try to comply with government expectations. Even when things have not run as smoothly as they would hope, the staff have always been polite and friendly and apologetic if needed. Our visit this evening was extremely positive even though staffing seemed limited. Smiling , friendly staff who were relaxed, happy to interact without letting it interfere with their work, and management who recognised their locals; always good! The roasts are always very nice with very generous portions and expertly cooked meats. The young man serving at the bar is always upbeat and happy to have a bit of a laugh and keen to help. It has been a difficult time for everyone in hospitality and it has taken some time for establishments to regain their momentum especially when the public demand is high. Well done Neptune staff! Tonight felt more normal! Thank you and see you soon!

Amazing time at the Neptune pub the staff was amazing and very friendly Karen and Ian was very helpful and very approachable and chatty

My partner and I decided to visit a local pub as have not been able to get out for a while due to covid. We popped into the Neptune Monday 7th June 2021 for a bite to eat. We were pleasantly surprised by the great atmosphere and it felt more like a restaurant than a pub. Karen the bartender was very friendly and helpful and the meal was lovely. They took care to ensure tables were wiped down when other guests left and seemed to be on top of covid guidance. Would definitely eat there again.

Avoid this place came on a quiet Monday had to queue for ten mins to be served a drink whilst over bar staff having chat and serving there friends first drinks came out wrong so had to wait whilst over tables had our drinks so reordered food was cold and quite bland lady who served food had her hair down not tied back and gave us wrong food order then started to put back sauce condiments back into tray from unused previous tables yet I couldn’t take my own drink from bar due COVID restrictions this place was quiet and run by kids who clearly seem uninterested would not be visiting again I dread to think how this place will cope in the busy summer holidays so many nicer places that are family run in the actual town itself

Firstly, the staff could not be any friendlier or do any more for you - despite the fact they're suffering with staffing shortages.The food was AMAZING, as we're the portion sizes - in fact we were all defeated. We have 5 fussy eaters and ALL their needs were catered for and better still they all actually are the food!The adults in the party love a good roast, and the carvery did not disappoint. The meat melted in your mouth, the veg was cooked to perfection and they actually served good Yorkshire puddings.It was a beautiful first venture out since lockdown, will definitely return and would definitely recommend to anyone. In fact, the children have asked if we can reform for their birthdays even though we live nowhere near and it's not McDonald's. Thank you all to staff, you're doing an amazing job, we're thoroughly impressed with your service.Cam and Family x

Mouth watering food, had the Carvery. Omg Toby should visit here to see how a carvery should be served. Excellent food adult and children’s menu. Very friendly atmosphere & service. Will definitely will visit again & advice all to try.

We were really looking forward to eating here as my partner used to go here all the time growing up in dymchurch. We payed £9 for a chicken burger meal and a huge disappointment it was. It was two over cooked chicken dippers in a bun with very minimal salad. It didn’t even come with Mayo in as stated in the menu so very dry. The chips were the cheap fires you’d get from a kebab shop. I could have got this meal for a fiver elsewhere. Honestly don’t bother wasting your money. The only good thing about this place is having a little play bit outside for the kids and the staff were lovely. We waited over an hour for our meals and the cue to order was very long and very slow moving. We will not be coming here again.

Great for a family meal we had the carvery as it was so busy and we all wanted our food as quick as possible. We wasn't disappointed the meats are spot on and lots vegetables. The roasties where very good. And the team didn't stop cleaning and working when it was so busy. Well done on such a busy day. We we see you again soon.

It was a very busy Bank holiday weekend but all the team didn't stop working, cleaning the tables, taking orders and checking on the guests. We had the roast and it was spot on again. Well done Katie and the team at Neptune. We will see you again soon. Hopefully when it's not so busy.

Popped over for a meal with my family. The food was so nice and our server ‘Jess’ was just great! Big congratulations on the job! the location is great, lovely walk after the meal. I Will most definitely be back

Great food, great value! The roast at £6.95 was exceptionally, and served hot outside, which was greatly appreciated.

I don’t normally feel compelled to give a review for a local pub but: Wow! What a difference. Last visited a couple of years ago and vowed never to go back. Went today for a family get together, (only place locally that could fit us all in at short notice) and what a pleasant surprise. The food was great (special mention to the chef Ian, whose home made Yorkshire puddings are amazing) and the service was really good. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially with the COVID precautions needed for us to stay safe now we have been able to return to eating indoors, which must make their jobs just that little bit harder. Nothing was too much trouble, they even helped us serve a special cake we had brought for the 60th birthday we were celebrating. Our server Karen went the extra mile to make our visit superb, even drying the rain of the slide for my little one. I can’t praise them all enough. We will definitely be going back again soon. If you pushed me to find a negative, it would have to be the toilets, not the biggest or most up to date of facilities for such a large venue, but as they say, ‘you can’t have everything’. Please, long may this level of food and service continue. Thanks to you all.

My husband and I have just had a lovely carvery with my parents. First time we've been able to go.out together in 9.months. Generous food portions and the staff, Karen, Ian and Rhys, were lovely and despite being run off their feet kept smiling and were very friendly and courteous. Will definitely go back again soon.

I was very impressed by the service from Karen , she went above and beyond . My friend and I eat there on Sunday and the meal was delicious.

We booked 3 tables as a group booking to celebrate 4 birthdays. Due to current restrictions we had to sit outside.The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was really good and came quickly. They also cleared tables quickly to deter seagulls. Really enjoyable afternoon at the Neptune.

Having been to the Neptune a few years back we thought we would give it another go. Well glad we did we had a family roast wife and kids had £6.95 ones which was plenty, I went for the Real Roast for £9.95 it was spot on and worth every penny. I then have cart dor ice-cream for the kids and me and the Mrs had the Mile High chocolate all well priced especially when you compare to the local area. Fully recommend giving this one a go the new chef knows what his doing. We will be back!

2 waitress just walked straight past us ! We had to say excuse me do we just sit down she said yes . We Sat there for a while no more came out so had to go and get a menu ourselves wasn't told chicken and ribs went available . Then when we ordered sorry we don't have any of them !! Teriible service but overall food was good

Tuesday (13) evening we visited to order our first roast that we didn’t have to slave over for a year and with 3 young children I cannot tell you how amazing that is. Outside was lovely the kids loved the little park that had been added it was a great addition to the outside eating. The two girls behind the bar told us how good the HOME MADE YOURKSHIRE PUDDINGS looked and I can confirm that chef has some talent. Now onto the best part Karen and Ellie let me tell you those girls deserve a raise! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfy and that the kids had everything they needed nothing was too small or inconvenient for them to do even as the kids made the most out of the bottomless drinks (as it was a special occasion). They worked in such harmony together and were like a well oiled machine together not only behind that bar but in bringing out our food and again taking it away. Ellie came back at the start of the meal to make sure the kids like it. We honestly could not have asked for more on our first meal out of the house. So I just wanted say thank you from Jay and Ella we can’t wait to come again.

Looking forward to the reopening going to have outside cover and entertainment good friendly bar staff

We went to the Neptune for a birthday meal with friends. There was a bit of a wait for food and drinks to be expected in current circumstances, however once seated nothing was too much trouble for our server RYAN who even brought out the surprise birthday cake as requested for us good night had by all! went here today 22nd october 2020,the carvery now due to covid you get your roast dinner come out to you it's all table service we really enjoyed roast as not been to the neptune for months, for the price £6.30 each you can't beat it. Nick who took our order was very friendly making sure we had everthing we needed we always visit here when we fancy a nice roast dinner overall excellent just missing a few veg like mashed swede brussells

Been here quite a few times now and I really don’t understand why the bad reviews. The food is such good value for money £6.30 for a roast is an absolute bargain. Katie and team are lovely and friendly and can’t do enough to welcome you in. Yes things have changed due to COVID19 but they have adapted well and have all necessary precautions in place. Give this place a try, it’s actually cheaper than eating at home! Kids Eat Free when the offer is mentioned Monday-Thursday.

Atmosphere was as good as it could be with masks, social distancing and hospitality taking a pummelling of late.The place was clean and waitress very pleasant.We arrived a few minutes before our booking for 6:30pm and were seated and immediately ordered our drinks via the QR code. Only some of the menu was available to order but the waitress helped us get ice cream.The food took around 35-40 minutes to arrive and damn!Prawn cocktail my son ordered was literally swimming in loose sauce and became a game of fishing for prawns. Tasted out of a bottle but ok.They say: House Burger - Our famous *6oz Abterdeen Angus burger, grilled and topped with cheese slices, lettuce & tomato, served in a brioche bun with chips and corn-on-the-cob.I say: No tomato, a bun so dry it sucked ALL the moisture from your entire body and no sauce in the burger... a few sachets offered for the table. Corn on the cob not warm enough to melt butter.They say: Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich - Lightly coated fillets of chicken in a brioche bun dressed with mayo, served with chips and corn-on the cob.I say: Tough chicken nugget looking things that could have been from Iceland, a bun so dry it drank my beer and laughed at me trying to swallow or chew! No mayo. Putting butter on the corn on the cob was my very first action, even before abandoning hope of eating the bun and still after working so hard on the chicken the butter had not yet softened.My poor wife struggled with the same meal.They say: Hile High Victoria Sandwich - salted vanilla flavoured buttercream and raspberry compote between three layers of vanilla sponge dusted with icing sugar.I say: Really?!? This is out of a box from the local budget off-licence for sure! but they did go to the trouble or smothering it in the kind of syrup you put on ice cream! it's messed up. It's clearly packet rubbish, not 3 layers and like everything else, not worth having. We had it to go at the insistence of my wife - I was going to just leave, I just knew it would be grim and it lived down to my expectation!I'm glad it only cost me £54.30 to make my wife and son miserable!

Very disappointed with everything. The starters and main course arrived together after a 45min wait, by the time I got to my main course it was cold. I was told I should have requested the starters and main course to come out separately. The special offers on the app only applied to park holidays next door, so having requested and paid for 4 bottles for £12, we then had to pay extra for what we requestedI have never ordered in any restaurant and had to request for the meal to come in stages ie starters and mains. We tried here on friday and found it wanting but thought it was a one off. I'm afraid there will not be a third visit nor can I bring myself to recommend it

Came here on saturday, food was ok so decided to book for the carvery on sunday (bad mistake). The chicken was as if it had been sitting there for hours, very dry and the veg was cold. Not salt, pepper or sauces were offered. Told the waitress that we wasnt happy with the meals but she obviously didn't relay this to the manager as no more was said about it. Wouldn't recommend

We came here as a family , hardly anyone in restaurant , waited ages for service , when food came it was cold , no cutlery !!! Asked ...waited ...asked again...waited asked a third time ...gave up and found my own in a draw , all in all very dissapointing

Absolutely disgusting service always say ring and book but never answer the phone, then when you turn up and ask for table they say fully booked and should of rang, this has happened twice now!

The type of venue to avoid, cold food, cremated dry chicken, given pork when they were told im allergic to pork, rubber joke yorkers, gravy one lump or two, I cannot emphasise how bad this place is. Dont go you will regret it.The only thing done right was a refund.

On arrival at Neptune me and my wife was greeted by a friendly young lady. She showed us to our table. Politely asked what drinks we would like. It was a lovely atmosphere. With all what is going on in the world very flowing organised friendly staff. I defo recommend booking very soon. Thank to all the staff especially Micheal couldn't do enough for us.

Michael was an absolute legend, super funny and made our trip very comftable, deffo coming back!! This may be our regular pub now

We travelled for 3 hours to surprise a family member for a meal as they live in Kent, we have ate and drink many times here over the last 30 years through different owners and different styles . This was the worst experience ever we had,we had a reservation and were seated quickly then waited 50 mins to have our drinks order taken and further 20 mins for them to he served . The waitress was visibly stressed and so her customer service tact was lost and so made her snappy and slack ( She also wasn’t wearing a mask).Our food order was taken after 90 minutes of sitting down the restaurant was not busy . And then our food was bought out within 15 mins !! But our chips were mostly overfried and mine undercooked , the corn on the cob chewy and cold the buns wet! And the taco meal was stone cold. We complained to the waitress who just said it was the chef that was on. We never got offered a pudding menu after being there 2 hours and 15 mins and also had to ask for one of our party to have another drink.We witnessed a large family over 2 tables being treated the same with a rude waitress..The toilets were not clean considering we were the first flurry of guests as the restaurant only opened at 12 midday and we were there at that time.

We have visited this pub several times since purchasing a holiday home at New Beach resort, and have always found the food to be reasonably priced and the staff are extremely helpful and eager to please and are coping well with the present covid restrictions. We will certainly be eating there whenever we are at our holiday home

Whilst I try to stay balanced in my reviews, when looking for positives for this place its difficult.The pool table perhaps? The food however is worse than medieval slop. The so called carvery roast is abysmal with thin gravy and chewy meat accompanied with frozen veg. Visit if in the area and have a full belly.

We had to wait for our meals and the attitude of the waitress is disgusting i would understand if it was a full restaurant even though it wouldent be acceptable

We all had something different and they were all very tasteless Dry and the vegetables were very hard, The chicken was so tasteless i was not sure if it was me or the chicken that had coronavirus, luckily neither but Yes it was that bad ! The staff did there best to avoid us as we were clearly unhappy and nobody checked with us to see if the meal was ok.I would say one to avoid.

Went for the sunday carvery The meat was so hard we couldn't cut into it the veg was'all watery the roasts were not cooked propley the only thing we ate was the pigs in blankets .such a shame considering we go to next door camp every year and we have never complain befor. We Won't be coming for Sunday roast again .

I have had a few weekend breaks at New Beach and have visited the Neptune on most occasions. Varied menu with reasonable prices, a short wait, happy staff and well prepared nice food. My last visit was made even more special with a cabaret by Hannah, one of the resident Park Stars, excellent entertainer. More visits planned.

we ordered from the menu , the food was well below average and we did not eat what was served. That said the customer service from the bar staff and manager was great , dealt with it very well.Suggest you dont order from the menu on carvery day as the chef gets the hump !!

Eaten here twice first time could not fault food went back second time had two Cauvery burger with bacon and lasagna.Lasagna was fantastic nice and hot Burger with bacon and cheese The bacon was stone cold.The two Cauvery come out with frozen roast potatoes the stuffing was sludge pork was hot vegetables served up in a dish but was stone cold Yorkshire pud could have used as a paper weight as it was rock solid would not recommend the food here as was poor

Had a car very. Steak pie on menu, it had been reheated in the microwave and had gone hard in places. The vegetables were frozen and over cooked but cold. There is never any excuse to use frozen vegetables in a pub. Would never go back or recommend it

Food has got better but it’s too much for staff to handle if there are groups had to wait for ages as paying at the till we did get a takeaway before that and was actually hot this time but forget some stuff but not the end of the world as I wasn’t expecting it to be right but better than I thought

Queuing at the door and still managed to find us a place without reservation. All covid protocols in place added to a very polite staff and a super carvery.

What a great pub and restaurant, we visited the Neptune several times whilst we was staying at New Beach holiday park. They have a new menu which we had the Ribs and Wings both where delicious and we followed up with a cheeky Carte Dor icecream outside in the beer garden whilst they had a live singer and the kids where happily playing in the new play park. If your in the area well worth a visit Katie and Nick both served us and both where very helpful serving with a smile on there facies even though it was very busy.Great value for money as we found many of the other pubs where much more expensive and didn't have the same great atmosphere as the Neptune.

Nice setting inside, cosy, stone floors and wooden features with log fire place. Had a carvery here, choice of meats and good selection of vegetables, the chef is a little over enthusiastic and really piles the food on plate. Great if you like it like that, but it was just too much for us. Food was good. Staff very friendly, if you eat outside beware of the the seagulls. There was a problem with the beer one night, flat.

Food was cold and not what we ordered. A shame as the staff and pub were lovely. Friendly and helpful staff but quality of food wasn’t great!

We came for the carvery but were disappointed. There was a choice of dry beef or dry chicken with vegetables drenched in water. The chairs, tables, cutlery and floor were dirty. The staff serving the carvery were friendly but improvements to cleanliness, quality and service are much needed. Plastic screens were installed at the bar but seemed pointless as the space between them was used for ordering and serving.

Haven’t been in here for about 2 years - was so impressed with the new menu very similar to Harvester and the choice of food was great.Was nice to see the actual rotisserie being used and the smell was very inviting - nice little touches of the extras like pigs in blankets and the sauces were perfect, the refillable drinks were served by Cody who took our orders served us and was very professional a real asset to the pubVery impressed and will return soon

We went not expecting much but we were proven wrong! We booked as we thought it’d be busy due to it being summer holidays and a Sunday. I’m glad we did!! The person carving the meat at about 1:15 today was friendly and talked to our 5 year old child instead of talking through us adults. As we were waiting the man said they had 240 bookings! The staff coped very well with the pressure of the amount of people there. Social distancing was also very well maintained!! Will visit again soon, without a doubt. Thank you Neptune staff

The new menu at the Neptune is very nice. I recommend the ribs the burgers and the carvery, the staff are very friendly and welcoming

Had a very enjoyable buffet on saturday evening for 80 people and even better carvery on sunday for 91 people .The food was excellant and service first class .

dinner for 8.ALL food was overcooked or dry. The only fresh bit was the chips.what a waist of money.

our whole experience was awful. food inedible. rude staff except for the lovely Maddie who went above and beyond despite the rudeness of the chef (who quite frankly should be ashamed of themselves for bullying a really fantastic waitress witnessed by several customers) this angered all of us including my 10 year old and other guests children who found the waitress in distress in the toilets. my husband and son both have dairy allergies which was told to "manager" when ordering food and still cheese was on their burgers. the state of the disabled toilet where I had to change my 3 month old nappy was disgusting. bin overflowing. filthy considering we are in a pandemic. the Scottish lady was rather rude on our arrival too. yes i got a refund. yes we heard several customers complaining all evening. will we come back? never!this will be reported to park holidays as they advertise this restaurant and feel it is my duty to prevent another family from experiencing this.

We took our Daughter here for our last meal before heading home from a short break away. The reception we got was amazing! The meet and greet we got when we walked in was the one of the best I have ever experienced. The young lady was so friendly with a lovely smile and such a happy attitude, so nice to be treated this way after walking into the restaurant lobby. The food was very nice too. We wanted sauces to go with our meals so I then asked another young lady if any were available, she was also so friendly and helpful with a really delightful attitude and quick service. Will definitely visit this restaurant again when we stay at the Caravan Park next time.

Last Wednesday evening my wife and I enjoyed a visit to the Neptune while @ New Beach Holiday Park. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the food was excellent (the gravy was exquisite), the meal was very good value for money. I wish to thank Sarah, Maddie, the person who carved our meat and the person who served our vegetables. They were a great team. I would recommend The Neptune Carvery without a moments hesitation to anyone, as a place to get a great meal at a very good price,( even without the Chancellor's help).

The food that we were served was pre cooked and then I think they forgot to put in the microwave to heat it up. This place is in a fantastic location on the holiday park and they get busy due to this but they need to seriously improve the quality of the food and bring it out warm. We saw people leaving there meals and walking out. We were eating outside and the table next to us left food and the seagulls were loving it. We asked the staff to come and remove the plates but they didn’t the whole time we were there so had to deal with the seagulls.

Great food and fantastic price. About £25 for a family of 5 with drinks and dessert. Staff were friendly and approachable and even stayed late to make our desserts. As the food was running low my partner didnt want the 2 meat selection so was given a chicken free of charge. Definitely be eating her again and again.

It was fantastic here. Me and my family all had a roast dinner/carvery (as we'd arrived very late and the other food had run out) and we were very satisfied with what we got. mentioned his love for meat and was even provided with extra, free of charge! The prices were very low ,especially since the eat out to help out deal cutting the price in half. We paid around £25 for a family of 5 roast dinners, two desserts and drinks for everyone! On top of that, staff were lovely. They were all so helpful and actually stayed hours after their shifts were supposed to end to ensure that everyone there had finished at their own pace and were completely happy with their meals. The man running it (I think he was the manager) was particularly amazing, he made our visit feel very personal and welcoming and stayed very late. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome (theres a lot of bad reviews on here but there was no downfall to our visit). Perfect service, great food and fantastic staff! Will definitely be eating here again on our next visit to Dymchurch!

Had a family meal at the Neptune and must say one of the waitresses is a credit to the team. Codie you coped extremely well even when a very rude table. And other waitresses sitting down at a table whilst you worked? Your help was gratefully appreciated throughout our meal. We all felt totally relaxed and nothing being to much trouble for you. My children loved their puddings and we will definitely be back very soon. Take care.

Expensive and horrible food. Reheated pork ribs and chicken wings with lots of feathers. Perfect to ruin a family dinner! But friendly waitresses!

We decided to go down to the Neptune for a meal with the family. We had been here 10 years ago and loved it then. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had an amazing time. Seated straight away, served straight away and friendly staff the entire time. The meals were to die for! So amazing and we left stuffed! I wanted to stay a big thank you to Cody for serving our table and doing a fine job at it, from start to finish there was nothing she couldn't do and dealt with our difficult requests. We done, you did incredibly well!

Me and my family went to the neptune as my dad's friend said it would be good but it was the complete oposit of what he said are meal took an 1 hour and ten mins for 4 of us and the burgers where very dry there is only ice creams for pudding and we got there at 7:30 and came back at 9:30

We came for a meal with family and we were seated in the side part of the restaurant. Service was quick and the staff were so friendly. We had a toddler with us so we’re always a little cautious about noise etc. We got sat next to a group of older people that although didn’t cause us a problem, were incredibly rude to staff and as I work in customer service, proceeded to see how the young member of staff worked it out. The young lady had come over to see how the table were getting on with their food, very polite and warm. They then decided that without saying a word, looked at her with an evil look and did a “shooing action” before continuing to eat and you could see she was very upset and just walked away. If this was me, I would have reacted so good on her. I believe her name was Maddie. If you see this Maddie, please don’t be knocked by these people in the world as there is so many horrible people out there. Just remember there’s good ones too. You’re doing amazing Well done Neptune, the food was delicious!

I came down for a few days with the family and ate at the Neptune. The burger tasted as if it was cooked hours before and had absolutely no flavour to it what’s so ever. The chicken was so dry it got stuck in my mother’s throat. When she took the chicken back to explain she was met with a very rude and unprofessional member of staff who changed it for ‘but only for a quarter because you’ve eaten most of it’ (she has not). She also said ‘well you can’t have your money back’. The second chicken was equally inedible. My daughter had the lasagne which she said was yummy so that’s something! So disappointing and will definitely not be returning!

Where to start! We had the great misfortune of dining here last night during our stay at the neighbouring caravan park. It was, without a shadow of a doubt, the worst meal we have ever paid for. Two steaks were so badly cremated, they were inedible. Two rotisserie chickens were so tough, you could have bludgeoned someone to death with them. The onion rings were particularly heartbreaking - flaccid and aneamic. Service was also very, very slow - just one person behind the bar, taking all the food and drinks orders. Our complaint was met with rudeness and disbelief, before the manage begrudgingly deducted £20 off the bill. Even one day later, we can't believe quite how bad it was. Absolutely shocking.

I visited on Sunday instead of usual carvery which is fantastic value for money i decided on rack of ribs absolutey delicious. I really appreciate the safety aspects set up due to covid 19 well done to all the staff there. I would definately recommend it any day of the week.

Great value for money, very friendly staff and child friendly . A very varied and extensive menu, with some lovely desserts to choose from
