The best restaurants serving Default food in Shepway South East

We were so looking forward to this meal and was extremely disappointed, I was more upset that I had pre-paid otherwise I wouldn’t have! The service was great it was the food, tasteless and veg undercooked. The hotel is amazing it’s such a shame the food let it down. Save your money and book the Waterfront down the road.

We ordered on a Saturday, didn't mind waiting. The special chow mein.. I thought would be loaded with chicken, beef ect. Was 3 prawns, a few bits of meat that was hard to find, not tasty. Overpowered noodles to bulk up

Order food from here for the first time. Food was two hours late on calling the restaurant the man was rude and appeared rushed told us the food was 2 minutes away. Just eat app information stated food had been delivered. Called them back to be told they forgot our order absolutely shocking 😲 20 minutes later food arrived cold and disgusting. Never will we go here again

I took my elderly father to Waitrose cafe in Hythe, Kent for a light lunch. Not good. The cutlery in the self serve drawer was not clean, wet and actually had previous food smears on it. I mentioned this to the staff member filling it while I was trying to find clean cutlery for my father and myself. She continued adding the mucky cutlery wiping it with her thumb which was not impressive. I’m sure it’s no coincidence that even though we live apart, my father and I both have painful stomach upsets and diarrhoea. All the cutlery needed to be re washed or sterilised in boiling water. I wonder if the general hygiene of this kitchen and cafe is observed and taken seriously enough as it didn’t appear to be. I don’t know how they/Waitrose get away with it. Just to say, the fleeting menu is not possible for the elderly to easily read. My ham and cheese toasty was with rubbery white bread, barely toasted with very little filling. We won’t bother to visit again.

Very good food, just what is says on the menu. Good quality. Nothing more to say. Generous portions, £30 worth does us for about 5 meals, I freeze any left over and it is excellent, I let it defrost then cook it thoughly.

It's OK

I went there after my niece's funeral and we were treated with respect by the staff. The family had a buffet in the pub garden and we were left to have our family time Thank you everyone.

We waited over an hour for our food, when it came out it was cold and well over cooked. Advised staff they didnt know what they were doing! The food cost well over £100 and not eaten or even given a refund. POOR SHOW!

Surly and moody barmaid.Had to ask her to top up the pint because it was 15 percent froth Then she refused me tap water which I believe contravenes licencing laws

Very tasty fish. We choose large portions which were really big. Nice chips. They serve beer, ale, and wines which is big plus.
