We booked a table for 9 people for my dad's birthday. The food was great and the service was very fast.

Meli was amazing, such an efficient young lady. Really enjoyed this place 2 years ago, went again last weekend, keep improving

Just tried to order food and was greeted by whom i think was the manager who was extremely rude. Zero customer service! She then let us order food at the bar but was told we could not order until after 9:30pm. We ordered a drink and then saw her serve 2 gentlemen who were told they could order food straight away. We were with our 10 year old son who was tired and hungry. I appreciate they were busy but there is no excuse for rudeness!!!

I had lunch here with my daughter. The food tasted disgusting, it just slapped on the plate then briefly warmed up in the microwave! The service....there wasn't any! Grumpy staff who just managed a grunt when serving / clearing the table. It was honestly the worse meal we have ever had. Avoid this place!

As regular visiitors,pleased to say staff , especially Meli, Lou and manager Mel, attentive and friendlyj, nothing too much trouble and fishand chips tasty andsatisfying. Reasonably priced and the usual enjoyable experiece.ĺ

Food was average. Definitely nothing great to say about it. Food was warm. Scenery was better than the food! Dessert was nicer than the main course. 3/5 stars

Decent food and drink served to us by Scarlett who was doing great as a new waitress.

Arrived Sunday afternoon waited to be seated was extremely quiet … bar man didn’t acknowledge us waiting after ten minutes a waitress walked past us and smiled but was serving customers after waiting for 15mins and no one acknowledged us being there we left and went elsewhere !

Second time here for lunch. Party of three. Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere and good food at a fair price

My wife and I eat here regularly and for good reason. The food is lovely, there’s lots of choice. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Tonight our waitress was a very nice young lady called Scarlett who made us feel welcome and was attentive.

Excellent quality and value. Server Scarlett was most helpful and polite.

So I understand restaurants get busy but when it's quiet why leave tables piling up with plates until they leave then wipe them down. I wasn't impressed

We came for breakfast on Thursday. The food on the cooked side was delicious and hot the cold side was excellent aswell. There was so much choice. The restaurant was very busy but it was constantly topped up and all tasted fresh. We will be back. Excellent value for money.

We returned here for our 10th wedding anniversary as we've had some lovely meals here and we were sorely disappointed with not only the food but our server also. Missing items on my meal which were not rectified by the server, half a jug of peppercorn sauce which when mentioned to the server caused her to laugh no apology. Took her a long time to get three cokes and we're still waiting for our son's straw! Won't be coming back again in a hurry.

Just visited Cookhouse and Pub in Folkestone, food was very good and hot. Very friendly and well mannered staff, fabulous service ,had some delicious fresh food and a lovely experience overall . Would highly recommend . Well done cookhouse and pub Folkestone.

Despite being briefly quiet in the restaurant, the atmosphere Ethan created was, as always, pleasant and enjoyable and he was efficient, thoughtful and enhanced the atmosphere and experience by his very good service. Well done.

I use this place quite regularly without problem. However, the last time our food was cold. 2 people out of party of 5 had their chips changed, by then burgers were cold also when the food came back.

You get what you pay for...shame but the food served on 2 meals offer..chips tasted like yesterdays or been kept warm not fresh, burger OK, but only warm too,

Food was awful. With my overcooked scampi I was served a tiny portion of chips and an even smaller portion of overcooked garden peas. Avoid eating dinner here if possible.

It’s good for a cheap meal but noticed corners have been cut. The house salad with chicken/avocado has no avocado’s in it. The chocolate sundae was supposed to have Cadbury’s chocolate in it but only came with a profiterole, ice cream & sauce Dessert menus are looking tired & need replacing but overall it’s a ok place to eat Hot Dog 9/10 Jam Roly-poly was 9/10 Waitress 10/10

A live SLUG in the salad. Salad was wilted and old anyway, but this was just horrendous. I was sick in the toilets at the restaurant after this grim discovery and cleaned up as best as I could. I informed the staff, but the toilets remained uncleaned still! Please avoid.

We came to The Brickfield for a birthday meal. Our server Sharon was amazing and very accommodating. Lovely experience.

Sadly for me personally the place is not as good as it used to be, as a family or a group of friends we used to regularly visit however over time we feel like the standard of the food compared to the pricing is no longer worth it & we tend to not visit any more, the staff have always been nice, friendly & welcoming whether it was at the bar or in the restaurant & it's always been clean & tidy but if the food is not of a satisfactory standard for the price your paying then we wouldn't choose to come back when other options are available

Gosh such a rubbish experience! Waited 45 minutes for our orders. No child desert. Did not accept blue light card as I had no app.

Stay around here often, nice to have a good friendly pub near by with well-cooked pub classics. Meli was our server and she was really nice and attentive!

This was our first visit but definitely not the last. We weren't sure if we could sit anywhere or had to be seated by staff so approached the bar to ask. Thank you Siman for your warm greeting and courtesy. You set the pleasant atmosphere immediately for us. The food was great. We both had steak which was perfect the best we have had in ages. Thank you again and see you soon.

Party of 8, had lunch. Service was excellent, our lunches all came out together. 5 had lasagne, looked lovely, served in individual dishes. 2 had chicken, tasty, moist a well presented on plate. Only small complaint, was jacket potato, which wasn't hot enough, but looked lovely, value for money, served with chilli & salad. No problem, our waitresses soon brought out a fresh jacket potato, which looked steaming hot. Followed by pudding, was rushed, must had spent couple hours, chatting and eating.

Dined alone as work trip but was made to feel so welcome and looked after I didn't feel alone. I had Louise W and she was a really good laugh, respectful and prompt service.

Dropped in today on the off chance of a table for two. We were met with a warm welcome by a gentleman. The waitress was lovely and very helpful. The food was excellent. Nothing negative about our experience today. Will definitely be returning

Very unusual poor service. One order arrived 20 minutes after the other. Had to ask for knives and forks 3 times. Breakfast poor, no orange juice and only a very surly response when asked why.

Our experience on Sunday was extremely disappointing. Table booked at 1pm to be told two of the meats had already sold out for Sunday lunch...possibly one hour into service! How ridiculous! As a low fat meat eater I asked if the chef could do me a chicken breast as not allowed to eat Gammon - yes it was possible but I would be charged an additional £1.50 on top of my roast dinner meal as they would have to sell it to me as a different dish! Roast potatoes looked awful, two burnt parsnips, the swede/butternut squash mash was running off the plate. Three people paid for extra meat and they had no more meat than the small plates, pigs in blankets had no blankets - Three puddings were not edible - one was sent back as you couldnt even cut into it with your spoon. Not a great birthday meal with five of my friends for me!

We popped in on Tuesday, the 24th of April for a bite to eat abs a cup of tea When the cup of tea and cappuccino came out it was Luke warm The food we ordered also come out all so the same The place on the out side look like greasy hands are being on them I said to Lady service all this food is Luke warm and so is the drinks which I gave us 20% off but it’s not about the money. It’s about the standards. Food needs to be piping hot and the same for drinks. This place has always a problems over the years , I need to be sorted ASAP

Great place for meals or just for a drink or two. I have had many breakfast and lunches here the service has been great ,staff are nice and welcoming ,food has been tasty , definitely worth a visit, free parking on site as well.

Nice enough place but could do with a thorough clean.Had a cheese and bacon burger which when it came was burnt black. Was given another which arrived exactly the same. The standard of food is dire and the service not much better, waited over 30 minutes for a replacement meal. The burger are the cheapest going and coleslaw obviously comes in a bulk discusting. The problem is no one cares not even when you complain. Avoid like the plague!

Restaurant associated with a travelodge. Has lots of tables and a large bar. There is a large menu that is mostly pub food. Special burger and grill menu. The kids menu was decent and my children ate most of it enthusiastically. Well worth a visit

I think the chef was having a bad day, I didn't think you could mess up fish and chips, it had probably been sitting around and was reheated.

Staff can’t cope with the pressure of a busy place. Was told at 20.00pm last orders for food is 20.45. Ok, at 2020 I asked to order food to be told by a very rude lady sorry the kitchen is closed, I asked for the manager who served me but reluctantly, in the meantime people were ordering food, all the tables were full of rubbish and unclean. Never again. Stay away, they don’t want you here.

The food was delicious 😋 the staff were friendly and pleasant.

The food was awful. It wasn't edible, and it was cold. None of the four children ate their food. Not even the chips. They were some of the worst chips I'd ever eaten. Our food order was messed up, and food was left off. My daughters starter was brought out (after having to reorder it as it didn't come) 20 minutes after she'd finished her pudding. None of our food came out together despite being asking for it to. The staff said that it was the way that their system worked and that it couldn't be brought out together. The stuff we're arguing amongst them their and to top it off, the 'manager' was rolling her eyes at us. Honestly, it was the worst place I've ever eaten. I'd recommend avoiding at all costs

Stayed at Premier Inn prior to travel to France, the Brickfield evening food was to us was luke warm and very bland at best. The service was great with our server a lovely lady very attentive. All in all after a long drive it was convenient if staying at the Premier Inn to use this restaurant but not sure I’d make it a regular visit if I lived nearby.

Food was disgusting. I couldn't eat it, it was luke warm, tasteless and chucked on the plate. Gravy was vile too. Tables was slimey and service mediocre. I absolutely would not recommend. They really need to up their game.

Great staff and food is lush.I would advise to book the Premier Inn next door in advance and taxi's are very reasonable

Disability discrimination and terrible service. Do not go to The Brickfields if you have a disability and expect this company to meet their legal obligations. Absolutely disgusting!

Really underwhelmed & very disappointed. Glasses were not cleared from tables when finished just generally sloppy. Never again

We just walked out as staff ignored us waiting to be seated. Waited 15 minutes and they chose to seat a lady who came in behind us (which they all acknowledged and spoke to her) and leftus standing at the door. Clearly our business was not welcome there by the three ladies on shift.

If you haven't been then go for the unlimited breakfast, great price for all you can eat. Had dinner there for my uncles 60th tonight and the food and service was top notch.

My wife enjoyed her meal, which was "smothered chicken ", and l had a Thai green vegetable curry, my mistake, it was the worst Thai curry l have ever had. If anyone goes here, l would not recommend it.

I joined up with Laura June Dina and The Ex Home link gang for a surprise reunion for Laura’s lovely mum Dina we all were so comfortable in great venue with a fabulous atmosphere and the meal was very very tasteful and well served by wonderful staff x I had chicken tikka and rice followed by banana New York cheese cake 100%

Great service for a table of 13 food was mediocre was a good atmosphere and value for money

Food was not bad but not as good as other premier inn restaurants. Mixed grill seemed small. Service was mixed but missed a few items. Music was either too loud or not on at all during the visit.

Service was friendly and quick. Great main meal options and dessert, too. Just passing through, so I may not be back but I recommend to anyone staying nearby.

Oriental breakfast ….Ranzig/ Walgelijk eten. Smerig, koud . De bediening maakte met 1 doek de tafels stoelen en de foodcounter schoon. Smerig / niet hygiënisch restaurant.

Busy in the run up to Christmas, but was welcoming and food was better than expected for a linked pub/restaurant to Premier Inn. Will use again for sure.

Had lunch here today with my wife and kids and really enjoyed our visit, the staff were welcoming and kind. Very helpful and the food timing was great. The food was beautiful and tasted amazing. Unfortunately our first choice of fish and chips were not available today but this certainly didn’t put us off. Went for the toasted club sandwich and it was delicious. Definitely re visiting here.

Went for a meal with my work colleague, food was rancid, garlic mushrooms over cooked the outside was rock hard had to pick up with my hand as the fork kept sliding off as they were too hard on the outside, the double stack burger was over cooked, was really crunchy. Was asked if we wanted any sauces we said yes they all came after we finished our food. Was ill for a couple of days after, needless to say I wont be returning there. Not a good experience for me.

Had breakfast here Christmas Day, top notch. There was plenty of choice at the buffet style breakfast and veggie sausages were brought to our table on request. For just under a tenner, it was very good value. UPDATE DEC 2023... Had breakfast Christmas morning again, same good quality and service

It's ok for a meal, popular with tourists and anniversary parties. Plenty seats ,good service and a reasonable menu to choose from.

Positives : friendly staff, good beer, great steak and ale pie. Didn't have to wait too long for food. Negatives: all the tables (bar) were sticky where they hadn't been wiped. Chips and peas were lukewarm at best. Husbands steak was overcooked. (Asked for rare got medium). The unwiped tables unfortunately was probably due to the staff being very busy... understaffed maybe?

Had dinner on a Monday evening when it was fairly quiet, food was good value, the service was a little over excited and American style. If want to go on a Friday or Saturday I suggest booking as I have been turned away

Avoid. I sat with my Brother tonight looking at our dirty plates for 20 minutes: after finishing our main. Empty glasses, dirty plates in front of us. I chose to leave rather than make a complaint. Unfortunately my brother had paid for the combined meal of main and pudding so he chose to stay. I texted him when I got home and asked how long it took and he said that he was left for a further 15 minutes on top of the 20 with no offer of drinks, tidying of plates or anything. And no, the area we were in was not overworked, the waitress had 4 tables to look after.

Very friendly staff and very prompt, clean, well organised, food cooking times and serving are spot on! food is well cooked and all ingredients are fresh and of good quality.

today we had the worst fish and chip that we have ever had, Thw haddock we had was dry because the batter was so thick we needed a depthcharge to get into it. the chips were pathetic and the peas were dry...I did eat the fish after a lapaotomy on the batter.

A nice pub which is "table table" but has a brewers fayre menu. Quite a nice looking pub and feels quite cosy. The food was good and arrived within a good time as they were extremely busy. The waitress who was serving our table was very efficient, seeing as she had a lot of tables to deal with. She worked extremely hard and was very friendly and helpful. Good prices of food and offers. We got a table without booking, but i would recommend booking as it did get very busy, very quickly.

Christmas meals for 8, turkey was dry, gammon had no flavour, vegetables were very limited and had to ask for peas that were missed on 3 plates.

Good selection of pub food served quickly in comfortable atmosphere with good service from friendly staff.
