Nice place for a cheap pint, and something to eat. Plenty of seats over two floors . Good efficient table service using the app.

Another very interesting Wetherspoons building, plenty of information within the building. Great value, what you expect from Wetherspoons, good coffee. Amazing architecture. Credit to the team, mens toilets at 8.05am were spotless. Partner said ladies were too. Town centre location.

Yummy foods extraordinary atmosphere ,I love it and yet tables need more lightning maybe it’s not combining with other decorations Idk, def will come back again xx

I am very disappointed with my experiences at Samuel Peto in Folkestone. On several occasions, I have felt disrespected and poorly treated by the staff, particularly by a staff member named Tom. Despite previously being given the excuse that he was “going through something,” his behavior today was completely unacceptable. I understand that everyone has challenges, but this does not justify the consistent lack of professionalism and poor treatment of customers. Unfortunately, these repeated negative experiences have left me not wanting to return to this establishment. Customer service should be a priority, and I hope management takes this feedback seriously to ensure other customers are not treated the same

Beautiful old church building on the inside. Service friendly, food ok.

As an 82yr old I was part of a local art group who came in here to do a quick sketch. We were made most welcome and served well by the staff. After completion of our sketches I found the food fulfilling and satisfying. Thankyou Spoons.

Breakfasts are lovely. Vegetarian breakfast is particularly good. Baked beans are not always very hot, but other than that, it is fine. Traditional breakfast and vegetarian breakfasts are very affordable. Refillable hot drinks make it very cost-effective. Good service and staff very friendly and helpful. It is kept very clean both inside and out.

We had a reasonable experience. Our table was dirty when we arrived and a member of staff said they would clean it but never did, I ended up removing empty glasses and cleaning up a spillage. Food is fairly priced and decent, as per Wetherspons

Outstanding two storey pub. A beautiful Wetherspoons pub! It's one of the better ones I've been to. Well worth a visit just to experience the surroundings.

One of the more unusual spoons, despite the fact that most are in buildings with interesting histories. The food and drink is standard spoons fare. Mostly very good and all good value. This particular building is a great place to visit due to the interior - it used to be a Methodist church. It has retained much of the church feel, minus the pews. They've even kept some organ pipes. A great place to visit for the unique interior for a spoons.

The staff share a single braincell which has unfortunately been misplaced.

Can be hit and miss here in terms of atmosphere, service and quality. Sometimes it's pleasant and buzzing - next it's a dive, grubby, rammed with antisocial behaviour resulting with police visiting to escort people out. Patrons all smoke outside by the steps so you get a good old waft when walking in or out of the building. Probably the cheapest drinks in town as you would expect from many spoons.

Lovely spoons as it's in a converted church. Steps to gain access, don't know if it's wheelchair accessible. Just called in for a drink while on tour of the area while on holiday

What a stunning building. It didn't disappoint. Visited folkstone especially to go to this whetherspoons Just a shame my food came out cold. Better luck next time.

Last few times ive been in the Abbot has been spot on. Very good value for money.

Really nice looking wetherspoons, came for breakfast food was hot and didn't take long also came here the next day too, end of the day it's still a wetherspoons but didn't have anything to complain about.

Place was dirty, last persons food all over the floor. Food arrived at different times for each of us, was cold in some cases and the staff didn't wish to engage with any complaints even when food was missing. Went elsewhere in town and will not return again.

Spectacular building. Good value for money. Good real ale choice. Food served in good time.

We love this pub. We park at the car park behind. The tables are clean and the service quick. We always order from our table via The App which works great. The Curry is our favorite

The restaurant in the former church has its very special atmosphere. The price-performance ratio is very good.

One of the most spectacular Whethers in England no doubt. Looks like a church inside, so nice. Food is ok, nothing specials, same old as always, but good value for money and nice for families.

Like most weatherspoons the cleanliness is pretty low but for the cost of a decent meal and drink you can't complain.

Was in Folkestone for the weekend and visited Spoons. OMG what a lovely venue, big church converted into Spoons. It's located in the city centre. Building front is like a museum or art gallery. Very nice stain glass windows and beautiful ceiling art work and like a paint hall. Staff were very friendly. Not a bad serve. A lot of local ales on tap. Every corner of this building was classy. Plenty of seats in main hall and upper in gallery. Must visit place to enjoy a pint and interior.

Very nice setting being an old church . Staff very nice . Get what you pay for in spoons. Can't fault the wait time for food . One of the nicest spoons we have been in.

Like a lot of weatherspoons, in a beautiful building, toilets very clean. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit if in the area.

Definitely one of the nicest wetherspoons I've been to, some drinks are cheaper than how they are here than in others, and incredibly friendly staff, Rachel (a staff member) was extremely friendly and helpful and her customer service skills are on point

No disabled access, toilets are downstairs also. Came here with my family for our dinner and almost every dish was wrong apart from the pizza, missing sausages, missing mushrooms, missing paid sauces from two meals and there was chicken in with the scampi! Thank goodness she's not a pescetarian. 3 requests to wait staff for missing items. The food was still enjoyable and after we finished we went and spoke with a manager who was the saving grace, offering a round of drinks or partial refund for all of the missing items. They were helpful and apologetic so I think 4 stars is fair solely due to the managers handling of the situation.

Greatime with old and new friends

It was great to see an old building refitted as a Wetherspoons but retaining the character of the building. The photo shows the view from the toilet up to the bar and beyond. Great service, and we all enjoyed our curry night.

Beautiful Weatherspoon's but service appalling. Only two members of staff serving during pride weekend. Gave up trying to get served and left.

It's a large weather spoons that has the usual beers and menu. It's a spectacular building, but possibly lacks atmosphere due to its size.

Interior looked as if it needed a freshen up in places, a coffee machine upstairs would have been nice, other than that a great Wetherspoons ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Staff are the usual overworked and underpaid mostly very happy people. Greeted with smiles all round but you could tell even with the building on half full they were very busy between them. Nice to see the boss mucking in as they should and the guys are the bar we're lovely. Building is insane, old, pretty, and absolutely bursting with character. Place was well laid out and going upstairs wasn't too much of a hassle with the nice shallow big steps. Really nice to sit up top and organised into booths. Food was as you'd expect, cheap and tasty. Could do with a bit more effort from the kitchen though, didn't look like the effort appeared on the place. Admittedly steak and mash on their own are harder to present, but it did look like it'd be thrown and caught from across the room. Usual 'Spoons report, but defo the higher end of the multi chain Again , A+ to the staff 👍

A converted late 19th Century Baptist Church ⛪ and a certain amount of charm still maintains within the building.

Table's we're extremely dirty we wiped the table with a wet wipe and the wet wipe was black. Building is falling apart it has great potential. Out dated. At least the food is Ok.

Great pub in an old church. Quiet on a weekday evening. Food was ok, staff were friendly and served quickly.

The staff members were quite impolite and spoke to my husband and me in an aggressive manner. The tables were very dirty, and even after I requested that they be cleaned, there was still sugar and stains from glasses. I'll never go again there.

Just went in for coffee. Was beautiful the best Wetherspoons I've been in. Was a Baptist Church. Must go to see it fantastic

Raw eggs, dirty table, dirty cutlery, just awful 🤢 the staff were minimal and rug ragged, taking back half of the food they served as it was so bad

Dirty tables, food sent back as eggs well undercooked, paid for extras had to request these as didn't receive them, no clean cups for coffee had to use take out cup. Not somewhere I will go again

We order our meals all together through the app and it said a 17 minute wait to be told by the staff there was up to an hours wait on the food, they served 2 people on our table there food while they left a diabetic waiting for her food and still waiting 30 mins later im absolutely appalled by this

Interesting interior that looked like an old church. We wanted to grab a light dinner after a day visiting the beach. We had the chicken curry and some wings. Price was unbeatable. Helpful servers. Clean washrooms. The only thing that bothered me was the table. It was sticky and seemed like it was not cleaned properly. But with that price in mind, I was not expecting much.

the food was edible (just) but dreadful. presentation was poor (especially the kids menu food) and the menu did not match (burger just completely missed the mark) - tasted awful. It was also the most filthy place I’ve ever eaten, it needs a jolly good clean. Why would you not clean it? It’s a lovely building, but it’s obviously run by a complete crack head.

Lovely day was there from lunch time apart from manager who was very rude when my girlfriend went down stairs to use the facilities. I went to order some food the she said she could not serve my girlfriend who she claimed she was wobbly while she watched her go down the stairs to the toilet which was opposite the toilet. I spoke to the manager that she was okay and had vertigo and clearly doesn't understand that was a medical condition terrible service and customer service and we had been there for the day and repeat customer would expect better treatment.

Singed pizza half size staring down my girlfriend to see if she was drunk weird customer service not the first time halloumi fries burnt.

The food is lush is hot served and presented well price is very reasonable perfect for families love it
