Really uninspiring food, tastes like from a cash and carry, real low quality food here

With friendly staff and a good choice of snacks on the menu, this is a bright spot in the dour Bouverie Place Shopping Centre. Obviously popular, as could be seen by the number of people both inside and outside, our freshly made drinks were very good. Although we did not eat, what was on display looked tasty.

Stop by for a quick coffee break and sadly was not a nice one. The atmosphere was not nice, there was no music playing for a long time, until someone decided to turn on. The space felt very depressive. The staff was not very welcoming or that nice. And the coffee was not good either.

A panini ordered and I was given a stale baguette which contained plastic processed cheese. The tea arrived less a tea bag. My partners toasted cheese and ham sandwich was again adorned with plastic processed cheese which was tasteless. The toilet left a lot to be desired. On complaining in fairness I was offered a refund but I refused as that is not why I complained. I would not return or recommend this place. Too many coffee bars around to suffer below standard of food or service.

Panini was luke warm and very expensive Waitress bought our coffee out for us and I asked for some sugar anyone would have thought I had asked her for £50

We wanted a change from using a Costa or Starbucks. This fitted the bill nicely.

I came for a take away coffee, thinking I’d try somewhere new. I asked for a flat white, was offered a size choice, which made my mind up about the place. I of course opted for the smallest size. Think it was £3.25, which was an okay price. I was served a 12oz cappuccino.. very frothy, very weak coffee. It was fine, but I wouldn’t visit again

Disappointing visit this time round, prices have risen quite drastically. I ordered two paninis, both were overly baked, not much filling. Two drinks as well, which were alright. Service was good, very polite and friendly but disappointed in the food.

Two drinks one wrong, not cheap. Only go here if you love the smell of cigarette smoke.

Food tastes disgusting I've had better at McDonald's and it cost cheaper, salad and cheese was left in when we opt out. Pastry on Pasties taste bad and greasy. Don't waste your money here.

Fantastic locally owned cafe with lovely personal attentive service. The food is well priced and tasty, the coffee is quality and all arrived in good time. Definitely recommended.

Will not use this place again. The service was NOT with a smile and had to wait a long time after paying for our drinks to arrive. No aplogy for the delay.

Yum tagliatelle. Was offered mushrooms with my salmon. Good idea. Not as cheap as it was ( nowt is) but darn good value. Left alone to enjoy it and read my Metro. Perfick.

Had both dine and delivery excellent every time. Fresh baguettes beautiful paninis and cakes just awesome. I feel the places decor on outside doesn’t do it justice because food and drink here is fantastic. Only had lunch time bites but always brilliant. Better than the Costa and Starbucks next door definitely don’t miss out on this gem!

We coming from London to spend some nice peaceful time with my family and friend in the city of Folkestone one of the morning we found this coffee shop as our intention was to support the local business, the man who took the order in the shop was so nasty and rude to us, we fell so very much disappointed with the way he have spoken to us, even with my 11 year old daughter he was so rude. To avoid any stress when you come to Folkestone don’t come to this shop I took place to do this review based on the trust that here we can be heard and share with other the bad and good experiences for knowledge of us all Thank you

Popped in for breakfast during a flash visit to Folkstone. Choose the delicious salmon and cheese muffin and a lovely latte and I made a good one. The staff was very attentive and nice.

Awful visit!! I ordered a coffee with oat milk and was given normal milk. I’m lactose intolerant. I asked for a new drink and the owner refused to give me a new one or even a refund when I asked. Not even a sorry was said. Then kicked me out. All I wanted was a new drink. Don’t waste your hard earned money here

AVOID!!! Possibly the worst experience I have ever had in a cafe. We decided to try this place out as we prefer to support local buisnesses than a chain (there was a Costa across the street.) The panini was nice but the bread for the baguette was stale. We ordered a frappé and a banana milkshake, had to send it back as the frappè tasted nothing like coffee and oddly had the taste of banana... where as mine just tasted like milk. The replacement drinks were even worse, frappè was flavourless and my banana milkshake tasted like gone off milk with banana added. It was awful. I kindly asked if we could just have a refund for the drinks but the owner then decided to get very rude and aggressive telling me over and over that my drink tastes like banana, and lecturing me about how long he has been making milkshakes.... regardless of what he thought it was still awful and tasted off, at £5 a drink I wanted a refund. He only agreed to refund the frappè but continued being rude and talking down to me making comments such as "if you wanted a mc donalds banana milkshake you should have gone there" to which I replied "have you ever heard of Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares? Because that's what this place reminds me of." Just a horrible rude and unprofessional man. He should have just refunded the drinks! It wasn't a big deal, companies like that dont deserve customers I would recommend to support another local buisness instead.

Perplexed with the service as I asked for an iced Americano and I got a warm one with ice. I am not an expert but I would have followed another procedure. Not to mention it's been the first time I saw an iced coffee served in a cup. I politely tried twice to get what I paid for but the waitresses didn't pay too much attention. Not sure if I want to go there again.

Nasty Rude man! My 5 Yr old daughter was desperate for the loo, I took her and my 3 yr old into the cafe to ask if she could use their loo but there was no one at the front till. My daughter was starting to wet herself so I quickly took her into the toilet. Both children wanted a treat which I had said we could get once finished but upon leaving the loo, we were met by a very rude, blad, angry man that told me I was not allowed to use their toilets, as they are only for his customers and I should have asked,I explained the situation and that there wasn't anyone around to ask and apologised but he wasn't having it. We would have been your customers and you would have made 3 more sales but your vile attitude stopped that from happening.

Popped in for a takeaway sandwich. The young women serving were very friendly and polite. The sandwiches are made fresh to order and the bread was lovely - doorstep slices, not sliced bread.

The breakfast was very tasteless and bland. For £9 per breakfast I’d expect a little better. The bacon was tasteless and rubbery, sausages tasted of nothing but hot mush. They also charge £4 for a single piece of toast with some beans … the coffee was the only redeeming thing.

Just tried cheese and onion pasty from here, tasted very burnt. Not pleasant at all. paninis are better. Quite expensive too £5.50 for a panini £3 for a vegan "sausage" roll. Service could definitely be better. Waited to be served and one lady walked out with an order and the other turned round to make coffee, both without acknowledging me. Didn't wait. Customer lost

Good coffee, staff always very friendly

This is our second time to visit this coffee outlet, 1st time had 2 Americanos sat outside people smoking was a nuisance but we sat there anyway..popped there again today this is 2 weeks later, again went inside to order two Americanos with milk on the side, they were £2.80 each which was fine BUT was told that we had to pay 25 pence each for the milk on the side...this well is a new one for me!! Every place I've been I've never been charged extra for milk with an americano.... being dairy intolerant also cant have cappuccino or latte so like to add little amount of milk to my coffee!! Also that made it a total of £6.20 for two coffees absolute top up!! So will not be going back again...plus staff behind counter were not very understanding and were just yeah that's it you want milk you have to pay extra!! Never had to anywhere not even Costa charge you for milk...still in shock....

Visited with my wife and stopped briefly for a coffee and croissant. The coffee is excellent, I mean *really* good, and the croissant and pain au raisin were fresh and delicious. Total bill for two coffees and two baked goods came to about £9 which we felt was excellent value. Kudos to the owners for competing so well against the multiple chains close by.

Order a Chicken Wrap, had barley any salad, chicken and WAAAAAAYYYYYY too much sauce. Did not finish and threw half of it away as I did not feel like eating a sauce wrap. 🤢

I ordered the smashed avocado on sourdough with a poached egg, the salami, mozzarella and green pesto panini and the raspberry and blackcurrent smoothie. It was all lovely and they kindly gave us a free cookie so thank you!

Delicious food, friendly staff and a great little meet up place. This place has been my go to for deliveries since lockdown and when lockdown is lifted, it will be the place I come to for a coffee and a cake.

We regularly order cakes via Uber eats for a special treat for our hardworking team of staff at Craig & Parsons. Cakes are amazing and bring a smile to everyone's face in a time when we all need a little pick me up. Thank you Caffe la Delizia :-)

One of my favourite places to grab something from in Folkestone. I’ve ordered online too. So many good drinks, and they offer all the different milk alternatives including coconut milk which is perfect for me! I love their Black Forest hot chocolate, & paninis.

Not been in there, just walking past. Usually great when open, but have experienced slow service, that's more due to large amounts of customers, and not enough staff

We went in for lunch, table next to us smoking away, smoking tables should be put in one place and change it as the wind flows, a couple of signs is all it needs. We going to have lunch but after we had a coffee, I had cappachino, we decided not to, I have not heard or used this experession for decades but my coffee tasted like dishwater with virtually no taste and certainly not one of coffee. I like sole owned businesses as used to have businesses and support them, this was the worst coffee that I have had in decades. I don't like McDonalds but their coffee tastes better than this.

We have visited this place last week, after an appointment in town. Place was almost empty, but that's to be expected. I wasn't very well, not virus related, but needed a coffee, a bite to eat and a sit down. We only dealt with one member of staff. She wasn't wearing a mask, which I would expect her to wear. She was quite rude and sarcastic to me, and I didn't appreciate that. Despite this, I decided to stay as needed to sit, eat and drink. Although it was still 40min left before they closed, she's almost refused to serve us, rushed us, and when I asked about extras for my coffee, stating that I couldn't see very well due to headache, she wasn't helpful at all, so I just went without. All in all, good coffee, food could be better, although it wasn't bad, staff definitely need to improve their social and customer skills, and if they don't want to be working during pandemic, they should stay at home. I would not recommend it, and won't be going back.

We were looking for somewhere that sold something vaguely healthy and were pleased to spot this advertising salads etc on their front.The food was cheap and cheerful, and filled us up perfectly.Small issues - smokers sat in the doorway so we were greeted by the disgusting smell of smoke as we queued to order, as well as when we walked in. The place is rather run down and generally looks a bit tired. We’d eat here again if looking to grab a quick bite whilst shopping.

My Father and I stopped here for some refreshments whilst on an afternoon shopping trip in Folkestone,As we live in London surrounded by the usual huge chains and franchises we always enjoy the independent places like this when on trips out of London.We were pretty tired after a long day shopping for all the back to school essentials.We decided to take a seat in the lovely patio area outside , perfect for watching the world go by and especially useful for people like me on mobility scooters, as getting in and out of cafes can be an absolutely nightmare.We were promptly greeted by a lovely smiley young server, whose name I later found out is Gracie, and she took excellent care of us from then on.Nothing was too much trouble, taking my order for me at the table as I use the scooter and my Father has Alzheimer's so hard for him to go in and order.She made us fresh Panini's as the kitchen was by then closed, as quite late in the day.She attentively brought straws and glasses for our bottled drinks of still lemonade.She then patiently waited whilst we finished those to bring our freshly made Moroccan Mint Tea, which was easily as good as Marrakech.The whole time she smiled, had a lovely light air about her and was so attentive and kind.A real asset to the Cafe.I later very briefly met the owner, who seems equally lovely.The Panini’s were great , and the choices were plentiful, even that late in the afternoon.The place was very busy and catered for families, solo visitors and friends as well.I would highly recommend this place, it’s great food and fabulously friendly service.this was service how it used to be.Perfect and will definitely be back again next time we are in Folkestone.Thank You!

Didn’t even get in there. Went to walk in. I asked politely if they were open as they had “we’re open” sign up. Just got a ton of abuse. All I said was why is there a sign saying “we’re open” if you’re clearly not!!!! Will not be using again. Disgusting.

An Independent Coffee house with excellent service and high standards. The meals I have enjoyed include the salmon pasta with cream and cheese, ham & cheese toasties, brie & tomato baguette and of course the excellent smooth coffees and Moroccan (Mint) Teas to accompany my chocolate croissant or danish pastry or scone with jam. There is little queuing and the staff bring the food and drinks to you - beats the long queues at Costa or Starbucks. The place is spotlessly clean. It is a popular haunt for many regulars and Delizia have now introduced a delicious Afternoon tea available from 12 to 4pm - scrummy homemade scone with cream and jam, selection of finger sandwiches, cakes and pastries served with unlimited tea and coffee. There is also a wide selection of hot pasta dishes, hot paninis, baguette fillings, sandwiches etc. I can thoroughly recommend Caffe La Delizia, which is also family friendly.

A lovely sit down chill & watch the world go by, drinking a lovely fresh Latte. There counter is always full of a feast of delights, served by lovely & friendly staff.

Finest coffee in folkestone by far

The coffee is the best in town in my view and the food offers are excellent, not least the salmon cream & cheese pasta, the ham & cheese toasties and the many light snacks available. All great value, freshly cooked, served by friendly staff. Very pleasant place indeed, warm inside, covered outside and a good toilet too!

Heart radio playing very loudly. Smoke from the smokers outside filling the cafe. Bought a cappuccino and the froth was terrible, wasnt asked if i wanted chocolate powder but he put it on anyway.
