the food only took 20 mins to get here when waiting time said 45 -60 mins food was warm and looked like had been microwaved didt have no taste to it very bland won't be using them again

the chicken ball were so over cooked that we couldn't eat them so had to throw them out.

Duck was so tasty! And noodles were lovey! Will order again!

Really unpleasant food. Greasy & most of it looked like it had been cooked 3 times. Burnt, overcooked chicken balls, greasy noodles & dried triple fried rice.

I have never had such a bad experience with a restaurant on Just Eat. Ordered at 7.30pm.. My order was late and I was told by you that I could request some money back and it WOULD NOT cancel my order. The restaurant then cancelled the order. So I rang them and was told you had cancelled it. Was told I then had to re order but my order would still take another 20 minutes. Finally arrived 2 hours after ordering and I’ve been offered no compensation and I would certainly expect some!

Food ordered around 7pm. For a delivery 8.15pm several phone calls saying 20 mins or haf hour longer.. food eventually arrived at 10.10pm Not happy at all !

Good was cold so had to reheat everything when it came

Don’t often review but I felt I had to. Probably one of the worst Chinese takeaways that I have ever had. Massively over sweet in all dishes and what wasn’t over sweet was bland and congealed. Won’t be ordering again

When I read the reviews here, I initially hesitated about ordering. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service I experienced! I placed my order on Friday at 5mins shortly after the opening time at 4:30 pm and was informed that delivery might take an hour due to the usual Friday rush. To my delight, my order arrived in less than 30 minutes. The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. I am extremely pleased with the outstanding service provided and grateful for such a positive experience

Quite possibly the worst Chinese I’ve had since I’ve lived in Folkestone in 4 years. Don’t bother

I had the salt and chilli chicken and chips , a bit too spicy for me but a dollop of sour cream fixed it ! The salt and chilli spare ribs were the best I have had from a Chinese takeaway . Will be ordering again.

WOW! After munching our way through, yes, this is the best Chinese takeaway we have found in Folkestone thus far! The delivery time was extended a wee bit longer than ideal but delivery with a smile and very tasty grub, all is forgiven. 😋

the chicken in my chicken fried noodles and chicken fried rice looked and tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave couldn't eat it sadly was not nice.

Ordered the salt a chilli lunch box, I enjoyed very much, the only down side is I couldn’t eat it all, it was so filling.

Placed order on just eat got a call just before the delivery time saying they had run out of items on my order so had to cancel the whole order, very poor considering they new once the order was place an hour previous the items I wanted, I will not order again and will not be recommending them to anyone

I ate it, so it was ok…but definitely not the best Chinese we have ever had . Vegetable dishes were nice but chicken balls tasted like they had been cooked in really old sesame oil that had already cooked other meats perhaps?

The courier delivered my order to the wrong person at the hotel without verifying the identity of that person or asking at reception for me. I had to speak to the restaurant by phone and they agreed to re-make my order but I had to go there to pick it up in case the same thing happened again. They also gave me a complimentary can of Coca Cola for the inconvenience. Problem resolved but very irritating that our food was delayed in this way.

The ribs were too salty, Cantonese chicken wasn’t very good either and the satay sauce was very runny with too much sugar. The noodles and egg fried rice was good. Sorry but will not order again.

Food has always been very good from Peking House, but this order was really top top notch! And it's always the icing on the cake when the delivery is done with a friendly smile - I even got a "Sir"! 😄

Wait time when ordering was 30-50 mins I received my food after 2 hours! I spoke with restaurant and was told was ready and waiting on a driver, half hr later it arrived. All cold. Satay sauce tastes nothing like satay. Majority of chips were burnt or shrivelled up.

Food was excellent would purchase again but from notification that food was on its way it took over 15 minutes to deliver disappointing

Just had a takeaway for 11 of us and I can honestly say there wasn't a single dish that redeemed it. The curry was powdery, the sweet and sour chicken was simply sweet, and was Day-Glo orange with a weird tang: goodness knows what flavour the 'tangy' mutton was supposed to be; the meat on the spare ribs was dry. I could go on, but suffice to say, we won't be returning

The flavours are very good! The portions were huge and very patient in answering my questions. Delivery was also fast, ordered many times and it was delivered in about half an hour. Recommended to come and eat.

Ordered food for collection to get there and for them to tell me cash only ( tax dodgers) then to get home my beef in black bean sauce was like mush with no green peppers in the dish!! The sweet and sour sauce tasted like the red sauce you have a rios On the your 99s , chicken balls must have been dropped in the deep fryer for its 100th time! Only thing they got right was the crackers and they were FREE!! Avoid this

Not nice at all. £24 straight in the bin. Stale prawn crackers Sweet & sour chicken balls with noodles and what I thought would be a separate pot of curry sauce but it was all together in one tray. Soggy salty messy. It just looked wrong to start with. Pink chicken. Crispy shredded beef,lots of it but very bland.

Best chinese I've had in a long time .. tasty not salty , not greasy . And the spice box was high grade.

I haven’t had a Chinese for an ages I ordered a collection order and a delivery. For me to collect and the old lady I look after to be delivered. I was starving 5 pm so driving to my friends I ate a chicken ball. Nice had another I looked inside was a big dark curly hair. I chucked it out the window. When I got to my friends I didn’t mention it just plated it up. The rice was stodgy the sauce was gloopy and pancake had not much batter round it so thin. Curry was good. But looked very dark dark. I asked my old lady friend what her takeaway was like I didn’t like it she said: were did you get that from ? Not good I agree I said. Do you want the left overs ? 😂 no thanks I said.

What’s going on has this changed hands ? Our egg fried rice arrived brown and oily ! The kung po chicken was awful no flavour just chicken with chilli sauce over it Food arrived nearly cold We always use this takeaway but the last two have been bad especially tonight I messaged you last time but you didn’t respond Really disappointed waste of money

I popped in for something hot & savory on my way home from shopping. Just for myself to save me from cooking. I purchased a large Singapore Fried Rice with some Hot & Sour Soup to go with. I requested extra chilli in both. When I got home & I put the soup in to a bowl & made sure it was hot with a good zap in the microwave. The soup was a bland, gelatinous let down. It was neither hot nor sour. One or two peas, an underdone carrot strip & some indeterminate meat was suspended in the brown gel. It should have been called arrowroot stock. The Singapore Fried Rice (lge) was dry, uninteresting. Really it was just yesterday's rice re-heated in a wok with the sparsest of frozen mixed veg & some strips of dry, leathery, unidentifiable, chewy meat all stained brown with soy sauce. It was so dry as to be inedible. I was given some "free" prawn crackers. These were the best part of the whole experience! For a little over £10 this first time visit to Peking House in Cheriton will be my last.

Do not purchase a takeaway from this shop, the food was awful - meat was gristly, sauce was gloopy, who has chicken satay skewers & gets sweet & sour sauce! I called to let them know that the food wasn't pleasant and the manager just argued down the phone, appalling. I have ordered in the past & they have got orders wrong, when i fed back to them, they replied oh you live here and complain, but my response was if you get the order right then i wouldn't have needed to! They obviously can't take constructive feedback, they liked to talk over you on the phone! If I had been offered this standard of food in a restaurant I would have sent it back! Don't order from here, try the other Chinese takeaway!

I’m sat here waiting for my order to be cooked now. Ordered it for collection at 7pm. Arrived at 7pm and they seemed confused, then ran off into the kitchen without telling me what’s going on. Still sat here and finally told its going to be another 20 minutes. Looks like they forgot about me. My whole family, 9 people waiting at home to eat… That said, when the food did arrive, it was very good. Be aware that some dishes have lots of small red chillis in which are too spicy for some people! I liked them though.

Worst Chinese ever literally forgot my chicken curry took them 25 mins to re deliver so when I got my curry the rest of my food was cold witch is not Evan the worst bit when I got the chicken curry it was tasteless oily watery and literally black

Ordered takeaway to be told 45 mins to an hour wait, ended up calling back . Was told order on its way. Meal arrived , what a disappointment the worse chicken balls I have ever had, not crispy ,cold and doughy. Ask to speak to who was in charge was told nobody there. I then ask to speak to the chef, and then heard oh he’s just come back. Sorry Peking House will not order from you again.only good thing was the free prawn crackers which were crispy.

Ordered for the first time through just eat. The menu looked good. Excited to try this for the first time. What a let down. 45 mins and 6 calls to the we find out the restaurant owner was the driver. Took 3 orders out for delivery, we were told. Got lost on number 2. We were delivery no 3. 45 mins after the just eat app said enjoy we were still asking where it was. I would prefer they told us the truth, and kept our good hot

Ordered a takeaway from here, really impressed. All very tasty and really enjoyed.

Not a great looker from the road, so the fluke of ordering online is what got us here... We got the name mixed up from one of our go-to places... but, and as we drove to our normal place which was closed for the day. to my wife, I said "Oops.... turn on the GPS!" Well, we went to pick up at this place, not knowing how the dice would roll, and to our pleasure every dish was a treat. The "Salt And Chilli Spare Ribs" were not sticky at all, but moist and flavourful in a light gravy surrounded with crunchy vegetables. Our "Fish with Ginger and Spring Onion" turned out to be King Prawn with Ginger and Spring Onion; but flavours in its gravy again were awfully nice. (not what we expected, a bit wetter, but great to mix with our rice or noodle dishes) Dish after dish were a pleasant surprise. A Quarter Crispy Aromatic Duck The duck was separated for us, not as crispy as expected, but clean tasting. The hoisin sauce seemed fruitier than others, with perhaps hint of plum sauce... Udon Noodles with mixed meats - yum Chow Mein Fried Noodles with Vegetables - a bit dry but no problem - I was going for crispy fried noodle, but chow mein can vary from place to place. Crispy Fried Shredded Beef was larger chunks, and more sweet and sour, still good flavours. Overall, really pleased with this. And our error, now gives us perhaps, a new favourite... My wife's favourite the Spare Ribs... so I guess we'll be back. Of course, we still have several servings that went in the fridge for leftovers for the next day or so... don't worry, we'll eat it all... Thanks. And it was my birthday takeaway, so a nice result.

After A long trip stop of to get some Chinese. The food exceeded my expectation! Good flavour, amazing and friendly staff . Would highly recommend!

Tried to order food online but would not go through. Called instead and eventually with reluctance they took our order. Gave the number and the name of dishes we would like. Told to pay when picking up food. Arrived to pick up and food was not there. They first did not know of the order and then they realised they had sent it for delivery. Then had to speak to the person delivering food as their Sat Nav not working. Paid the bill. The young lady and man were very apologetic with the mix up. They have us 2 cans of pop and some fortune cookies. Arrived back home and started to dish up food. This is when we realised not everything we wanted was there. Called them to ask and they said everything we ordered was there. The noodles were tasty. The chicken sweet and sour balls had tender chichen breast but to much batter and were greasy. The rice was bland and the pork Cantonese was not pleasant, meat was very grisly. This was not a very good experience. The mix up of ordering the food can happen. But the food was not great. So therefore we are giving a mark of 2.

1st time for me tonight, as I always go to Dover for my Chinese, But I must say Peking House yes I will go back and if it is the same as the last one (tonight) I will not be going over Dover for a Chinese

Despite being midweek and minutes before closing, the front of house guy and chef in the kitchen couldn't have been more helpful, providing us with some delicious food which really helped make my partner's birthday trip to the seaside.

Not good ordered chicken curry swimming in fat really dark colour binned it rather than eat it !!! Not going back.

Salty, oily, flavourless, gloopy - very disappointing. Wish I'd bought a microwave meal. Sweet and sour was ok, the rest went in the bin. Not sure where everyone else has been eating as ithought from the reviews it was going to be the best- far from it. Don't normally leave reviews but had to for this.
