Lovely Chinese food with some extra choices on the menu for a Chinese takeaway. I love the little crab claw starter and the salt and pepper squid. Fast delivery but not alarmingly fast!

This is the first time I’ve ordered from these guys. I read the reviews, as I always do. My order was taken and I was told it would be about half an hour. It was delivered on time by a very friendly guy. The food was really good, non greasy. I’ll definitely order again. 😀 I wasn’t really expecting much as the price was so reasonable. I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality.

Nice but there is better in the area all the sweet and sour balls have a bland batter pork is hard chow mein had nothing but noodles and chicken in it and was given no vinegar with dumplings. Just all very plain and bland. I recommend windy hill instead.

I've had better microwave meals. Front of house lady was busy on a social call, kept forgetting what I was trying to order. Food was awful. I won't be using it again.

Just tried to place an order over the phone here, but was forced to cancel. The man taking the order was so rude to me and my card didn't work so my friend took over the call and said I'm so sorry i order from you every week, I'm just looking for another card give me two seconds and his response was 'I don't care if you order here every week, I've got customers waiting in the shop' so she said okay I'll call back in a sec to place the order. She called back he answered and said give me two seconds I'm just with a customer (fair enough, no problem). But he didn't mute and we could hear him talking to the customer telling them how rude I was and something about patience being a virtue when he was the one being impatient! He was really rude again and said well cancel the order then so we did. So silly because my two friends and my parents order here regularly so they've just lost 3 regular customers.

Staying at Delacres Camp site.....THEY DELIVER HERE! in my level of importance... Sweet and Sour Chicken balls were good, which is pretty much how I judge a Chinese lol. Arrived hot, and at the time they gave. Phone call saying "I'm 2 minutes away" and he was. A well deserved 4 star!

Tried here for the first time, the egg fried rice it was just cheap plain tasteless white rice with about a table spoon of egg mixed in, and was not fried just boiled. The chicken curry tasted like curry powder in hot water and was spicy but also tasteless at the same time, hardly any chicken in, just huge chunks of onion. The chicken balls were not crispy and were similarly completely tasteless. Would not go back here again, the food seems cheaply made and not good quality, really disappointed with everything we got. Never before have I been to a place where they can't even be bothered to fry the egg FRIED rice!

Under new management good food very friendly people give it a try you won't be disappointed

Forgot half of our order and then got funny with us on the phone then hung up the phone with us trying to charge us for something we already paid for never ordering from here again

Absolutely zero customer service Sent wrong food and refused to rectify Poor customer service from owners not the phone handler !!!

We have ordered quite regularly over many months & been very happy with the quick delivery & really lovely food. However this evening we are beyond disappointed! We rang up at 9 pm this evening with our order. At 10:15 we still hadn’t received our order. So we made a phone call to ask where our order was. Whoever the person was answering the phone call had no idea what was going on and where our orders was and said that they had 24 new customers. He could not give us any reassurance when we were going to get our food or any knowledge about our order!! We ended up asking for a refund. If we had not phoned to chase our food we would have been none the wiser & still waiting for food that was never going to arrive!! Whoever you have working for you & taking orders this evening was very incompetent!! You have lost our business now and in the future & we will not be recommending you either!! Appalling!! From now on we will go elsewhere!! Very disappointed loyal customers!! We will never recommend you and you have really let yourself down this evening!!!

I have been ordering from Chens Garden for 3 years now, sometimes I collect and other times I get it delivered, I have never had any problems with the food, its always been amazing. As far as price goes, they are by far the cheapest in the area, the next nearest one has extortionate prices, they do also deliver to New Beach holiday park, they will meet you at either the main entrance or the swimming pool, they appear to only take cash though and they don't accept card payments which is a pain, so if you want delivery you have to have the cash available to pay with.

We ordered 2 pancake rolls, ribs in BBQ sauce, house special chow mien, Singapore chow mien and a chicken curry, OMFAG way better than the last time we ordered and head and shoulders above the other local Chinese delivery. Would recommend highly.

Beef curry was lovely. Very tasty and a generous portion. The duck in Black bean was greasy, and not really very tasty. I also don’t like egg fried rice so pale. Delivered on time and was piping hot.

I ordered food there is was soo rubbish!!! Their services are a joke They offer you food from the day before! The chicken was sooo dry And they try to make an excuse that you came late! The rice had soo much salt And the chips where soooo dry

First time I used Chens and it'll be the last,expensive for what you get, food arrived nearly cold and minus prawn crackers the only good thing was the crispy chilli beef...

We had spring rolls , King Prawn Noodles and Vermicelli vegetable noodles. My partner and I both agreed how delicious all the food we had was and that it was one of the best Chinese cuisine we had ever experienced. Thank you so much! I’ve eaten some food but this was truly foul cold inedible crap which we paid over £28 for and waited 55 mins for. The pancake roll supposed to have carrot, chicken pork shrimp and bean sprouts all it had was greasy pastry plus loads of off bean sprouts and fatty pork. Total waste of money when I phoned too complain told return and re cook no flipping way too disgusting waste my hard earned cash !!!! Not even worth my 1 review

Love chen's garden best food ever

Had three takeafrom Chen's Garden, and all of them have been delicious. Ingredients as on menu, and sweet & sour chicken pieces are twice the size of most other takeaways.Szechuan prawns really taste of prawns with a nice chilli bite. For Siane G to give such a poor review very unfair when you look at the cheap dishes she bought.

Sorry but this was the worst chinese meal I have ever had. I had a pancake roll and it was just packed full of beansprouts. I think I managed to find 1 small shrimp and a miniscule piece of pork which wasn't even as big as my finger nail. It was tasteless. Also ordered special fried rice which looked and tasted of just boiled rice and again the pork bits were hard to find and again not as big as my fingernail, a couple of shrimps. No veg or beef nor chicken which you would normally get and they advertise as having in the ingredients and again was so bland. Would never visit again and would rather travel further for a good meal next time I am in the area than eat from here again.

Sometimes when on a later shift I pop in on my way home from work for a quick takeaway dinner fix. The food is always lovely but the service is even better. The lady who is usually on the counter is very funny and I actually look forward to chatting away with her whilst waiting for my order lol. Keep up that smiley customer service :)

Have always enjoyed our meal from Chen. Usually choose set menu but always happy to make changes to dishes.

I am a huge Chinese food fan! I love it, and if there comes an evening when my boyfriend and I either have nothing to cook or can't be bothered to, Chen's is almost always out go to! The staff in there are lovely and we can always have a good chat whilst waiting for the food to be cooked, and there are a few seats if you're anything like me and hate being on your feet for too long (especially if you're hungry!). Chen's is a clean environment and the food is almost always delicious. The reason as to why I say almost always is because the last two times my boyfriend and I have visited, the food has a strange taste to it. We simply agreed that it was perhaps a little burnt and it happens. We haven't gone back just yet, but I'm sure when we do, they will be back to 5 stars in my books!

I used Chens Garden for the first time yesterday and I am pleased to say that it was the nicest Chinese food I have tasted in a long time. Full of flavour, delivered on time and piping hot. I will definitely use Chens again

It all looks nice enough, but the take-aways are unattractive visually - i.e. the meat is interspersed with the noodles etc, so it is difficult to see what you are eating. Then the meals are over salted and have a taste unique to this take-away, certainly unlike any other Chinese meals I have had. They have a massive menu - so perhaps they should reduce it by 66% and concentrate on something they can do well.

Absolutely the best Chinese takeaway we've ever eaten. The food is so fresh and is delivered locally. Please don't hesitate - order NOW!
