Pass by many times but this time I have decided to give it a try and do my usual coffee break here. The space is alright, the service was okay and the coffee was good. The atmosphere was not the best but the location compensate. I will come back for another coffee breaks.

It's OK for a drink before a show. Snacks are on offer but these are limited and, to be quite honest, not cheap. The staff are friendly, some of the seating is very comfortable but the coffee is only served in fibre cups, there are limited toilet facilities and it is a cashless establishment (and don't expect a credit card slip)

Nice coffee but be aware that the cafe has a policy of not allowing disabled customers use the disabled toilet inside at certain times of the day. If you don’t have a key for the outside public toilet, you will suffer from this discriminatory policy.

The choice of food is limited and drinks and food are quite expensive. They now refuse cash and don't give out receipts. As they don't have parasols on any tables outside, we had to sit inside. There seems to be little thought for the customer.

On a boiling hot day I nipped in to buy a couple of sandwiches and water to take to the beach. First impressions not good as display fridges were more or less empty. After what seemed an age (the person making coffee was slow and did not acknowledge me) I was served by a lady. I asked if they had sandwiches and she showed me a menu taped to the side of a display unit. Chose 2 egg mayo ones. That and 2 waters £12.20. Ouch. Sat down to wait. Then a delivery man arrived and at least 3 members of staff were backwards and forwards out of the kitchen for at least five minutes sorting out an issue with one of them carrying tomatoes in her hands as if she was mid-food prep. Eventually I asked if anyone was making the sandwiches and the lady who’d served me said “yes”. I then saw her go to the fridge and take bread out of a bag to make my sandwiches without washing her hands - bearing in mind she’d been serving on the till until then. At that point I asked for my money back which was done begrudgingly with a mumbled excuse, but no apology, that there’d been a problem with their delivery. The man refunding me had to ask the lady who served me what she had put the sandwiches through as and I ended up being refunded £12.40, 20p more than I’d originally paid. I had to ask for a refund receipt too. Utterly appalling. I work in the catering industry and this place failed on EVERY level. Marked one star out of five because you can’t submit a review with zero stars …

My husband and I attended the café a few weeks back with our 2 sons, 9 months and 2 years old. When we were ordering my son was asking for a jam sandwich which was not on the menu. Upon hearing this Georgia behind the til went 'off menu' for us and made such product available for us to purchase, much to my son's delight. Georgia was then so helpful with carrying everything to our table as we had our hands very full. We were absolutely bowled over by her attentiveness and wonderful customer service; she will mostly definitely go far in her career! Thank you so much Georgia for your wonderful service.

On a terrible day with lashing wind and rain, this should have been shelter and succour. It was impossible to get warm as the doors on both sides either blew open or were left open as people went in and out. the baguette and sandwich ordered were just about edible, not impressed, sorry.

This is a good place to have a snack before going to a show in the Leas Cliff Hall. There's a good choice of snacks and my wife's Gluten Free diet doesn't cause any problems. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The coffee is very good but only thing is, price of cakes are a tad expensive.

Always a friendly welcome from the lovely ladies serving. Delicious coffee, & its a regular stop off for our dog walking group, because the dogs are always welcome with a big bowl of fresh water & sometime the odd treat! Sitting outside is the best. Only 'nit-pick' are the prices of cakes, overly expensive, in our opinion & not always as fresh as they could be. Otherwise, we love the Cafe Bar & will continue to visit. All the best to the staff at LCH.

I stop here most mornings for a wonderful cappuccino made with Italian Illy coffee beans. The staff are so welcoming and obviously enjoy theeeir work as there is always a wonderful happy atmosphere. There is a good range of hot and cold food and drinks with food allergies catered for. It is also a dog friendly environment. When the weather is good you can sit outside or up on the viewing platform overlooking the English Channel. There is also a lower balcony overlooking the sea which is open later in the year. Great place to meet friends and family and have a leisurely drink and a chat.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything in the Cafe bar at Leas Cliff Hall is homemade. They cater for all allergens, serve gluten free products as well as vegan and have the most delicious range of coffees (best around if I may say). Everything was fresh, the staff were polite and friendly and there was ample seating for all despite being busy. It is a gem and well worth a stop if you are strolling along the Leas. I was particularity impressed by their commitment to recycling and bio degradable products and non-plastic products. I will be visiting more frequently.

Located high above the beach, the Less Cliff Hall Cafe is a definite stop off on any stroll along the Folkestone Leas whilst taking in the impressive sea views and the glorious sea air. On a fine day there is plenty of outside seating and they even have bowls of water for your dog. Serving very good coffee, accompanied by some of the nicest home made cakes in the area, the Less Cliff Hall Cafe has friendly, attentive staff, who are always, it seems, genuinely happy to see you. You can also choose from a range of great sandwiches that are made to order and are served with a small salad on the side There is also a good Wi-Fi connection, ( good enough to stream Netflix with no buffering). Happily there is no sign of any plastic cups nor cutlery, so there seems to be a conscious commitment to being as eco friendly as possible.

The Leas Cliff Hall is an iconic entertainment centre for Folkestone. I sometimes meet up with a close relative there and we enjoy the atmosphere, activity and views of the Leas. There are now lots of comfortable, leather seats to lounge on while enjoying refreshment. Tempting cakes and lunchtime snacks. I can really recommend Leas Cliff Hall coffee ( especially the cappuccino ) and their hot chocolate. At this time of year, I would advise warming up at this cafe.

Called for a takeaway as my friend was feeling faint. Nice cafe on the Leas, opposite the back pedestrian exit if an underground car park. There is seating inside including small armchairs and outside seating and tables on the coast side. The menu isn't extensive but the sandwiches I ordered (ham and cheese, smoked salmon and cream cheese) were made to order, with really fresh bread, and came with a lettuce leaf, cucumber slice and tomato quarter and some crisps. Also in a cardboard box so a recyclable carton, a plus point in this world full of non recyclable rubbish.

This is just what you are looking for if you are walking out of town along the Leas, as there are almost no places for refreshment along the cliff path. We were hot and thirsty and were very glad to sit in the cool interior enjoying Frappe's - strawberry and banana flavours. 2nd visit to the Leas Cliff Hall, not the fanciest inside, nice sitting area outside in the summer. Nice coffee but the cake is the real show stealer and my tip is anything with a Victoria style sponge as they are really smooth and tasty cakes. Decided to go in the little cafe above the theatre for lucnh, and it was a bargain. £10 for two sarnies/crisps/salads, and huge pot of tea for two! The theatre is built into the cliff, from the beach it is quite a feat of engineering, and from the top you can walk right over it, and think it is just a viewing platform! Didn't actually go inside, as it's only open when there is something on. But hopefully will book tickets to see something next time.

I bring my disabled mother here sometimes when the weather is good and we can sit outside. The staff are friendly and the coffee OK, but it really is pretty disgusting sitting outside. The ground needs a good scrub where stuff has been spilt and its usually strewn with cigarette ends. Admittedly, there were ashtrays on the tables last time I was there, which should help. It just needs to be scrubbed down first thing. Its a wonderful position and they have a captive market. Luckily my mother's eyesight and sense of smell isn't what it was!

Just popped into the cafe Bar to get a round of drinks for my family, a gentleman I'm front was placing a large order for his family. I waited over ten minutes for him to be served, there were no other customers waiting and the staff had clearly seen me and my mother in law waiting next to him. Once his order was completed another five or six people had began to queue at the counter. The server said 'next' to another part and turned to me and literally grunted at me that I had been queuing the wrong end. Get behind everyone else she said. I told her she knew I'd been waiting and why didn't she mention it before, she rolled her eyes and said 'you have to join the queue'. Maybe she didn't like the look of us or maybe she is better suited to a non customer facing role. Plenty of friendly places in Folkestone to get a great coffee, we certainly won't go here again to be treated like that .
