The welcome was very warm and inviting, nothing too much trouble, Food was ordered and cooked to order. Ham was off the scale yummy, real ham, cut thick. Food was delicious. very good value. We will drop in again when we are this way.
Had the most wonderful experience here. Food was superb, presentation was beautiful, the ambience excellent. Service first class.
A gentleman called Mark took my booking. He actually greeted us too, even helped me wheel in my disabled sister. What an Ambassador for this establishment.
Visited on a walk into stalham. The bar maid was lovely and friendly , good range of drinks and a very quaint feel to the pub. Good value for money and a good hearty food offering.
We had pre booked for a group of 4 for Sunday Roast - the beef being one of the best roasts I have ever had. Our table was busy when we arrived, we waited patiently with a drink.
As soon as we sat down and ordered as soon as we were able to get some attention - the time pressure began and we were reminded of our time to leave and handed a card with our departure time. We were reminded again before our first course had even arrived, then again before we ordered a second course - all with odd attitude. We couldn’t have been quicker - it was all on their schedule
A wonderful meal and venue, marred by odd service!
No taste to the chips some chips were rock hard and I would not recommend your family/children to go here you have to pay £1 for sauce and it's the little ones and the cutlery broke
Impromptu stop off for a meal while in the area .. Cod & Chips with mushy peas for hubby & myself .. £19 each .. meal arrived and was so shocked at the portion size .. the fish was mostly batter and so small would say 1/4 of a fillet .. not worth the money at all, total rip off and very disappointing.. we told the waitress when she cleared the plates, and were told thats how they buy the fish in .. err really .. well as so small serve 2 pieces.. will not return ..
£8.50 for a coffee and a scone. This cafe is in a great spot and is clean and pleasant but the staff are little cheerless and the prices are too high. I remember it was a lot better many years ago. Will not return.
Lovely pub with a warm friendly welcome. Good well kept beer. Food exceptional. I can only think that the two poor reviews from last year say more about the reviewers than the pub and lovely staff.
We had great food my son had pork tomerhawk it is fantastic , I had fish and chips great and my husband had soup he said was really good. . Service was really good .
Takeaway, previously was okay, and a favourite of the adult kids who are fussy, but very disappointed in the meal, szechuan chicken, Chilli chicken ordered, very gloopy, thick sauce but more vegetables than meat, Black bean Beef, hardly any beef and just not cooked the normal way, again all very yukky texture wise, not enjoyable at all, the chicken balls sweet and sour, greasy, not enjoyable, we placed order for a couple of hours into the evening and still had to wait 20 minutes when we got there which seemed pointless ordering, but you think okay busy night, its a Friday, and would have been forgiven if food was half decent, the special rice was okay but again limited to the 'special' extras in there, they have done much better rice before, even the crackers were tasteless, Tescos own brand more flavour and will not want next time, in fact, as a treat night this was a let down, so sorry will not be going again just in case its the same.
Stayed in Stibbard for a week, hardly any places do delivery, so all agreed on an Indian. My daughters soooo fussy, but she loved it! The chicken was probably the most tender chicken I've ever tasted!!! Ordering and delivery was first class! Would 100% return for another cracking takeaway 😋😋😋
This was our second consecutive Friday visit for the early evening bargain menu. We both had the excellent smoked haddock, leek & asparagus risotto followed by lovely mango panna cotta. Where else can you do this and (should you so choose) watch a bowls match at the same time? The bar staff are friendly and welcoming. We have also been here for our wonderful garden club annual dinners, our weekly yoga sessions and occasional coffee & sausage roll meetings with friends. How do they do it all so well? I'm glad they do. Warwick Jones
