On a recent trip on the Norfolk Broads, we happened upon The Dog and had some lunch. Nice welcome and really good food! The Dog Menu was a particularly nice touch, bought some treats for the pooch, which she loved. The food was so good that on our last day, on the way back to the boatyard, we did a little detour and returned for another meal. Highly recommend, will definitely return! Thank you.

We walked here from our hire boat which was moored at St Benets Abbey during our trip on the Broads. We were made very welcome, the staff we lovely and friendly. They made a fuss of our dog, brought him some treats. We clear outside in a covered area, they had dog beds and dog water available. We both enjoyed the Veggie chilli with rice and garlic bread. Happy to recommend.

We've eaten at the Dog before for lunch which was very nice, So we decided to go again a couple of months later for an evening meal. The food was lovely, two of us had the double stack burger and the other was a battered fish. Part of the order was wrong when it came out and we said it would be ok but the waitress insisted she take it back and get it sorted. My only negative is 'smoking on outside tables', We had decided to sit outside as it was a warm night but we didn't expect people to be smoking on the tables next to us. If we go again we would definitely sit inside.

I telephoned the dog pub/Resturant to enquire about a table for four, the gentleman I spoke to said there was a table available but they did not reserve tables, and it was on a first come first serve basis. We stopped what we were doing and went straight there only to find two tables reserved for different people at different times, one of which was for two and a half hours time. Also the resturant was not that busy all the time we were there, it was clearly a ploy to get us into his restaurant The food turned up promptly and was well presented albeit the portions were on the small size especially considering the price. The staff were very friendly, and I would recommend the dog pub to others, I would advise on portion size and cost as well.

It is a bit of an understatement to call this place dog friendly. Pooches are the focus, humans are tolerated😂 It feels a bit untidy, but we had a very warm welcome from the lovely barmaid who instantly made a fuss of Bella. The food was very good, locally sourced sausage and mash with a delicious onion gravy and plenty of veg. Maybe slightly overpriced at £16.95, but eating out is expensive these days. Dog beds are available inside and out with plenty of water. There is a nice walk available to an old monastery close by, maps are provided in the pub. We would return again, but if you don't like dogs, I wouldn't bother...

Lovely welcome and picked a seat in the sunshine indoors. Great menu. Food was great and all our special requests were accommodated. Value for money for sure. Great pub and location. Sadly we didn’t have our doodle with us but she would of loved it for sure! I had the prawn Marie-rose baguette and hubby had haddock. We shared halloumi fries. I would of loved to have had the chocolate cheesecake for dessert but sadly no room!!!

This was our third visit this year but we have been coming here for years. It has great welcoming and friendly staff, beautiful seating inside and lots outside. The choice of beers is good and the food delicious. If you have dogs they are well pampered here with their own beds to settle on instead of the stones and their own watering station. Play area which is safe and camping if you need it. Try the nachos starters they are tasty.

We visited the pub on a few occasions and we were impressed with the cask beer selection. However, although the food prices seemed a bit steep we both ordered a meal. I was pretty unimpressed with the condiment sachets on the table, and should have seen this as a warning sign. My burger was something I would have expected at a cheap cafe, really disappointing. Not good enough quality for the price.

Being a chef myself I was disgusted at the price for a part baked baguette, a handful of salted crisps. £8.75 Atleast a side salad, or some thought into either a decent local bakery for the bread. The tuna mayo was just that. Tuna and mayonnaise. Bland. I would personally be embarrassed to serve that.

Disappointing. The website looks very inviting, in a modern gastro-pub way. Could not be further from it. Very ordinary. If egg and chips in a tired slightly grubby cafe is your thing you’ll love it. Staying in the area for a week and this place...

Probably unfair to judge too much on the first day back. The pub wasn't taking bookings, so it was a first come first serve basis. We had a short wait for a table, but I believe they were understaffed, which is understandable due to the...

Have popped in occasionally and had the most delicious pie and gravy. Was in the area Saturday and thought a lovely pie and gravy will go down a treat on such a cold day. Saturday luch time, no pies on the menu, just a very basic baguette, omlette, baked potato menu, really disappointed. Should have guessed, very sparse of dinners. Ordered the egg baguette, to be told a minute later 'we can't get hold of any eggs'. So all the omlettes were unavailable too. I've just been to a farmers market down the road that's full of eggs and pies! Cheese baguette ok, very cheap colesaw on side( sorry being really picky now). It has changed hands and don't believe the menu online, we won't be going back.

Wow what a find. the best place to eat for miles around if you have dogs with you as it is very dog friendly. We went for Sunday lunch and sat out on the covered terrace next to the lovely garden. There was a choice of 4 roast meats and a vegetarian option. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The cost was also very reasonable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The whole place has a lovely atmosphere.

Great staff, amazing views, nice range of beers. They continue to do a great job on the pier, we are so lucky to have it. It's a treasure that has been beautifully maintained.

Not a lot of choice, too fancy food not cooked brilliantly, over priced. The pub needs to serve more traditional pub fare. Service not great, we were forgotten about on numerous occasions during our sitting.
