Telephone booking so easy and the operator so friendly and efficient. Delivery driver equally so. Food was delivered in under 25 mins and was delicious. Pictured is the lamb madras with special fried rice which cost £12.45 including delivery. This is only half the portion! Excellent.

Cracking little curry house, the reviews were a bit mixed but to be fair everything we had was delicious, good portion size, great flavours, not expensive at all and all in all a really good place for a take away, would certainly go back.

The whole experience from making the phone order with a very polite and friendly person at the counter, through to receiving the food was really quite brilliant. The delivery driver was patient and punctual, arrived before the estimated delivery time as well. The food was hot when delivered, delicious in flavour, and very healthy servings too. For two starters, two main dishes, and two orders of special fried rice, including poppadoms and sundries for under £45 is exceptional. A credit to the village.

The best Indian/Bangladeshi takeaway for miles. Food is tasty, good portions, and well-priced. Takeaway only or home delivery - no restaurant dining area inside. Home deliveries start from £1 and are usually very quick (25 minutes for me on this occasion from phone order to knock at the door with well-packaged piping-hot grub). Phone guy at the restaurant was great as was the delivery guy; friendly, efficient and professional. Brilliant service, brilliant product. Thanks all.

Sorry but the chicken ticka musala was too sweet balm bread cold rice foul won’t be coming back anymore and £40 wasted . Money for a cold curry disgusting,it made me feel sick and I won’t have curry again.

Great local takeaway. Very reasonably priced! Quick collection time! Indian food that tastes amazing!! We recently moved to Briston and I can honestly say that this is some of the best Indian takeaway we've had, and we used to live in Bradford so we k ow a good curry. The paneer tikka tika masala dish is incredible. The best I've had. The naan breads and starters are amazing!! Portions are very generous and is now our go to takeaway. Even when we've ordered on a Friday night we've inky had to wait 20 mins to go collect our order. 100% recommend!!

Very tasty yummy food! Fresh and succulent meat. Great portions and reasonable price. Will definitely use from now on. Had a delivery to fakenham and it was lovely and hot.

Best Indian within 30 miles, I live locally BUT wouldn't consider anywhere else. Have tried almost every Indian restaurant/takeaway within last 12yrs, this is the place to go

i ordered a delivery meal from this restaurant for the first time yesterday after their leaflet drop to Bawdeswell. The food was very average. This was a phone order and they confirmed they would deliver to Bawdeswell. The charge for this was £9!!!! which was not advised at the time of placing the order. When the meal arrived, set meal for three, two nan breads were missing from the order. The order was placed shortly after the place opened not at peak times. Really disappointing. So average food, some of it missing, no invoice to check off the food- Beware

Very tasty, delivery was quick and much cheaper than at home. Would definitely recommend. Gutted that we have not been here before.

Really good food well cooked and levels of spice to suit everyone's taste. Collection or delivery. Even the usually non curry eaters can find something that they would enjoy. Portion sizes are also generous.

Garlic naan had no garlic flavour and barely any garlic smell unless you stuffed it incredibly close to your nose! Prawn korma far to thick and tasted dreadful! The onion bhajee had red peppers and courgette in… what place do they have in a ONION bhajee! ALSO had uncooked batter in the middle so was not edible! Worst food I have ever had from a takeaway, so much so I didn’t eat it! Will never go there again! And to top it off charge £16 for one person meal is unbelievable! Shop was dirty and smelled musty! Absolutely unacceptable!

What more can I say? Called at 19:10 on a Sunday. Was told it would be an hour and a half. Reluctantly accepted and waited 2 hours. Tried calling multiple times without reply. Here i am at 22:10 eating buttered toast. Never EVER has this happened to me. They had my number so no excuse for these appalling manners.

We had it delivered and we are really in the sticks and 1 call from the driver and he was here. The delivery was not in 10min from ordering but hay ho it’s Sunday. The food tasted more than up to any other restaurant on the better side. But not as good as the first Indian restaurants I visited in late 70s early 80s a madras was nearly dry but not quite. Tastes changed you never appreciated the meal then now they have changed I do long for a old curry but that’s getting away from Melton spice. The dishes were full of meat and I do mean full not filled up with-half cooked onions peppers tomatoes. Or Gravey and it is not swimming in oil .The rice was good as was the bread might be me and I do like salt I did add a little but that’s not bad to have to add salt as to many take away put to much on even for me . Was with my daughter parter and deb and all enjoyed it that’s why I did bother to leave this . £42 delivered so what do you think

The sauce for the Korma was really runny and tasteless, the chicken tikka masala tasted like nothing, sadly the whole order was under par Won’t get food from there again

Nice curry nicely served and open on a Monday, unlike many restaurants in this area. Lamb tikka biryani super.

NEVER AGAIN. Absolutely furious. We have given Melton Spice SO many chances to get things right. We’ve had pieces of chicken in vegetarian dishes, orders arriving nearly two hours after placing an order, items missing from orders on many occasions etc etc. These are all terrible service, but forgivable during busy times and the distance they cover. BUT, and it’s a HUGE but, what they have just done is an utter disgrace. They just arrived on my elderly mother’s front door step the day after ordering and paying online accusing her of not paying! She was forced to get her mobile phone to show the man to prove she’d paid. VERY upsetting and absolutely out of order. NEVER, EVER, AGAIN.

Our first take away after lockdown and not disappointed, one of the best curries I have had. delivered to our holiday accommodation, easy to order excellent choices. Highly recommened

Good food, shocking service. Over 2 hours to receive a chicken korma and Pashwari naan?!? Dissapointing...

Ordered a takeaway and they forgot the onion bahjis. We rang to let them know and were told they couldn't deliver for 1 1/2 hours. We didn't want to go back for them because our food would get cold. 3 phone calls and over 3 hours later they eventually turned up. It is 22.10 pm, bit late to eat them before bedtime . Won't be using them again. Make sure you check your order!

I love Indian food and used to live in Leicester where they have some of the best Indian restaurants in the country. I am therefore well used to what constitutes a great meal. I also cook a lot of Indian meals myself from scratch using authentic ingredients. I was SO looking forward to our meal. It arrived on time and it looked good but sadly the sauces were watery rather than creamy and they definitely lacked the lovely spicy taste we are used to. The Peshwari Naans were the best part of the meal but overall I was disappointed with the rest. No longer is a takeaway Indian meal a cheap meal.

The food is always lovely, especially the tarka dal. They are one of the few places that deliver in the area. We had a takeaway this evening, and unfortunately they mixed up one of the curries and put in a very spicy Naga something or other instead of my husband’s favourite CTM. They were so good about it and delivered the tikka masala free of charge! Thanks so much guys.

My husband and I were recommended to Melton Spice by a friend. We had our first meal delivered, ( something rare in the area ) and it was piping hot and fresh. I tried the Chicken Malaya, it was gorgeous I have to say one of the best meals I have ever had from a curry house. My husband was equally impressed with his Chicken Curry.Would recommend without reservation.

Ordered some dishes yesterday. I just feel that the food lack flavor and love! This is the second time we had Indian takeaway from Melton Spice and both times we were quite disappointed. The dishes all kind of taste the same. One of the dishes we ordered said 'spicy' but it wasn't at all! I know this may be down to personal taste but it really wasn't spicy at all. Food was bland in general. two of our dishes were lamb; one was quite tender and the other very tough! Management might want to think about putting more authenticity into their food.

We collected our food from Melton spice, but on arrival home the order had been provided wrong. I called and asked for replacement, but was advised it would take hours because they were so busy. Don’t bother.

I have been using this curry house for several years now and I simply have to write this review. The food is always absolutely delicious, without fail. The portions are generous and the produce used always fresh. When you go to collect your food (though an excellent free delivery service is available) you can see the kitchen which is in full view. you can actually see all the authentic spices etc and aroma coming from the cooking is intoxicating....makes you feel even hungrier as you stand there. the owner is an intelligent and very pleasant guy and is very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The long serving delivery guy, Marcus, is such a lovely guy and is always super helpful. All in all, this hidden gem produces, in my humble opinion, the very best Indian and Bangladeshi food for miles. In fact I can't think of anywhere to compare, locally or otherwise. Do yourself a culinary favour and try their food. Simply divine.

Received a delivery of our Indian takeout & the food was absolutely piping hot and so delicious, & delivered within time scale, my plus was I do live in the village where located .. Recommend for Friday night friends, curry & wine night 😁👍

No takeaway after 2 hours, they lied when I called asking where it was, now ignoring phone calls! I am shocked and disgusted

Driving home from Kings Lynn, clocked the new takeaway and thought why not. Premises was very clean, the menu had a large selection and the food was cooked to a high standard. Simply delicious! The winning point was the delivery charge. We lived outside the delivery radius and still they accepted the order. Much obliged and thank you again for some great customer service.

Tried the set meal for two glad we did was very good and loads of food ! Was very tasty Chicken tikka and lamb Bhuna excellent! Only a little place but well worth a visit

Friends tried it first so we gave it a go . Cannot fault this take away . Have had about 10 takeaways and all have been amazingly good . Tender chicken tikka , lovely jalfrezi and many more, soft and moist meat with lovely side dishes . None of that warm dried out salad always fresh and tasty . Staff very polite and premises clean . We do a telephone order & then collect .

You don’t hear much about this Indian takeaway which is a shame as it’s a really good one! Value for money, prompt delivery, hot, fresh, tasty curry and service with a smile. I prefer it to the Holt Indian for taste and the ease of the delivery, more people need to know about this takeaway! They also now take payment over the phone by card which is very handy. Strongly recommend you try it and maybe swap your allegiance, we go where the food is good, the wait is short and the value for money is good, if that’s what you are after then try these guys!

We used to love Melton Spice and was always our takeaway treat. But this time was such a disappointment. The chicken tikka was brown and spicy and was inedible. I don’t know if it’s changed hands but sadly will be a while before we go back, if we do.

Had 2 meals delivered from Melton Spice in a recent 1 week stay in Briston. Excellent food and very efficient delivery service

I use this place a lot. They have a good range of curries, with substantial portions so if you've a small or medium appetite, bear this in mind. I sometimes just buy pilao rice, dhal and a nan if I've made my own curry - they are quite happy to do this for you and real pilao always tastes better than home-made. Ignore silly comments about the parked car from other reviewers, it's perfectly safe and acceptable

We’ve tried most things on the menu now and all are brilliant. Personal favourite is chicken makhani. Also love the prawn puri, tikka masala, lamb bhuna, chicken dhansak. Also chicken tikka bhuna is beautiful as is the vegetable curry. Naans are always incredible, popadoms are good too. We have a curry most weeks. When I lived in Norwich there wasn’t any apart from MOS (which is a different league) to compete.

Always good. Always ready in half an hour if you collect. Always generous portion sizes. Lucky to have it in the village.

We didn’t get what we ordered. The food was bland. The meat to sauce ratio was disappointing. The naan and poppadums were quite nice. We wouldn’t order from here again as we have been disappointed here previously.

Very bland. Ordered the butter chicken so sweet it was like a dessert. sauce had started to split and was very greasy threw half in bin never again this is the second time I've been truly disappointed

Visited the nearby shop and was going to order our food until we spotted the 'chef' standing outside in his apron smoking! It's bad enough that he thinks he can park his car on the pavement making the road dangerous to cross for all the schoolchildren.
