The best restaurants serving Default food in Fenland East of England

We visit The Hippodrome very regularly, and it is always quite busy, which means finding a table can be quite difficult. What makes things worse is that the tables are rarely cleared, so you usually end up putting everything onto another table, which is usually stacked high with every one else's glasses and plates. However, yesterday, a lady saw us about to sit down at a dirty table and actually took away the used glasses and plates and wiped the table. The pub was busy, and so our drinks took a while to arrive, but the food came out soon after and was very good, as usual. However, by the time we left, there were spare tables piled high with used glasses and plates again. The pub is quite good but the service can be a bit slow, when busy.

Easily one of the best take aways in March! Food is brilliant, always hot and quick delivery with great staff!! You won’t go wrong with this place, I did see a comment about portion size…. I can say I’ve never had an issue with portion size, always plenty, it’s a struggle to finish sometimes. Thanks Eastern Promise!!

Have ordered quite a few times from this place and hands down the best indian food ever!

Ordered via uber this morning Drinks tasted of washing up liquid, two coffees with two different flavoured syrups, so must have been the utensils used. Couldn’t drink them and both of us felt sick afterwards. Ordered two almond croissants and got two plain (and also stale!!) and two other cakes we hadn’t ordered were in there, maybe a bonus but the black hair was a put off. Won’t be ordering again

Went in for a meal arrived about 6.30, shown to table. Took drinks order, waited a while for drinks. Took our order , which Took ages as new staff couldn't find things on menu. Waited, and waited and waited best part of an hour and husbands soup arrived, then they bought main course out while husband was still eating his soup, my starter still had not arrived. When I commented on this they said didn't we want our meal all at the same time. Told them we would like to finish our starter before we got our mains. My starter arrived. We were then served our mains. Food was no where near the standard from our last visit

Had amazing food. Our waitress was a lovely woman called Julia who gave exceptional service, truly a credit to the restaurant and had such a great time.

Good food. One of our faves. We’ll be back.

What I like about the PETROU Brothers Fish & Chips store, is that they focus and have done for years on the best quality Fish and Potatoes' using the best vegetable oils, having a great Dutch equipment the oil fryer, prices are good and the portions are over generous, all together with really happy and friendly staff, including the home deliveries, on time and still very hot, ensuring good quality in all the fields of service. Several evening I had completly forgot about their closing times, I turned up late, door was closed they were just cleaning up and closing, but they opened the door and cooked and served me my take away fish and chips, that's customers dedication for you at its best. Well done the Brothers and the staff get a 100% score from me.

Went for a family meal here last night really disappointed the steak was over priced and then the chips was fat and frothy in side the stir fry was not good no mention it being spicy the short rib we had better home made at Christmas the prices was shocking for the quality of food would not recommend the restaurant but would recommend the butchers won’t be going back in a hurry.

Absolutely delicious , just as I remember back in the day . we will be returning very soon for a bigger selection.

Went Friday for the fish and chip special. One was overcooked but problem sorted quickly and efficiently so no complaint there. Otherwise nicest meal I've had for some time, great value and friendly service. Definitely would go again

Awful from start to finish - Service was awful, would be nice if they actually acknowledged you Absolute rip off!!! Paid £9.60 for a chicken wrap that had more salad in it than chicken to make it look fuller, probably because they had ran out and i got the scraps and the smallest bag of chips, I wish I didn't bother Won't be going back, absolutely terrible!

Rambos is a good establishment. While the menu itself is basic, you can rarely have too many complaints about the food. Yes, you get the odd delivery with something cold or wrong, but is that as much on the delivery roure as the restaurant? All in all, it's good for an easy takeout.
