Went for a family meal here last night really disappointed the steak was over priced and then the chips was fat and frothy in side the stir fry was not good no mention it being spicy the short rib we had better home made at Christmas the prices was shocking for the quality of food would not recommend the restaurant but would recommend the butchers won’t be going back in a hurry.

Very quiet pub when we arrived however very welcoming and the food was outstanding for the price. Met a couple of locals who made our evening one to remember. All in all we had one of the funniest nights and definitely would recommend the food. This is not a lively pub but landlady and landlord along with staff member couldn't have done more.

Moved to the middle of nowhere a few years ago and found the Butchers Arms in down town Parson Drove, Cambridgeshire. Popped in with the misses because we were ‘Hank Marvin’. Opened the door, it seemed slightly dark inside! As we entered the lounge area, all the locals stopped talking and stared long and hard at me and my misses. “Hello” we said, “Stay off the moors” they said! Boom, my misses and me are now one of those happy locals welcoming strangers into the pub and telling them to stay off the moors! OK, let’s talk food. On the whole, the food is excellent with amazing flavours flowing from the meals carefully prepared by Chef Julian along with his misses Jan who can be usually seen hovering around the bar area. The steak meals are awesome as are many of other choices available. I’m going to say if you are around the area, and it’s open, pop in for some nosh! Oh – cash only I’m afraid, other than that bartering may be an option!

The food is first class, a lot better than you would expect in an out of the way village. The owners are very friendly as are the staff. The place is a typical old English pub that has not been spoilt be being modernised like a lot o.f other pubs you find in the countyside. If you want a pub that has a lot of noise and has been modernised with flashing lights and loud music go to a new pub built in towns. Go to the Butchers Arms to see what a real pub is like

This is our new local pub, lovely friendly staff with food that is simply fantastic. If you are in the area you have to try the steak! Always wanted a local pub and we have now found one. Look forward to trying the rest of the menu over the next few months, can't wait to sample the rest. #amazing food.

Outside looked wonderful but inside it was very dark and dingey, in need of refurbishment. Food is cash only which isn't ideal and perhaps lose lots of custom due to this. Not much food choice, drinks over priced. No atmosphere. It could be a real gem if they did it up and opened it more with more food choice and some life

Dropped in for Sunday lunch due to a mess up with another local pub with aged Mum. Shown flat access into restaurant due to her wheels. Pub appears in need of a spicing up with very dated decour and fittings. But the welcome from the staff was very friendly and obliging. The roast lamb and beef Sunday roasts were some of the tastiest we have had with a lovely gravy and lots of it. Well worth the £6.95. Tiramisu to follow - tasty and again a very generous portion. Jam rolly polly and tonnes of custard. Brill. So two course meals with drinks for three for under £40. Excellent.

Love our local pub. Friendly and cosy atmosphere in the Winter - especially with the wood burner roaring away! Great food as always. We were a party of six and sampled the fish and chips (with mushy or garden peas) also the fish cakes and steak and kidney pie. All very tasty and generous portions. Will def be back to sample more.

Always a warm welcome; the food is wonderful and very reasonably priced. They are very welcoming to children and dogs. It's not a lively pub, but if you are after a quiet drink and a nice meal, then this is the place to go.
