Warm & friendly atmosphere, staff very helpful, food very good

Although it was very busy. The young waitress was extremely polite and friendly and is a credit to the company.

After 2 hours, waiting for a scami an chips and got prity much got a kids size not happy paying £12 for it

Lovely meal, quick service, very comfortable and staff great

Had a lovely Sunday lunch today. Really generous portions and very yummy. We also had a lovely waitress,Holly, who was super helpful, very smiley and has an amazing memory!

food & drink were served quickly the food was nicely presented & hot the staff were very pleasant

Christmas dinner was absolutely beautiful. We were served by Grace she did a fantastic job very Professional and welcoming. Food was prepared and cooked by Ryan it was top-notch . Timing was perfect between causes. The food was delicious, hot and tasty.

Food took ages and took 1 hrs 30 mins for Mains to appear after we sat down. The pre-ordered food with specific instructions was ignored, as they weren't on the ticket for the chefs! All in all not a great experience

Overall a very good customer experience. Great food, good table service, nothing was too much trouble. Staff were very polite and courteous. Will definitely come back again. Well done everyone involved

Polite and friendly staff. Went here yesterday for lunch had a absolute laugh with the staff. Food great value for money Mix grill definitely worth every penny.

Food was OK, took an hour and a half for it to be served to us.

We booked a table for lunch at 12.30. The service was awful and we waited far too long for drinks and food. The starters were over cooked and the main wasn't hot. I feel the delay is to encourage you to purchase more drinks. We went for lunch and didn't leave until almost 4pm! Definitely understaffed and feel for Ryan. The management agreed to 10% off our bill but we won't be returning.

Nice staff but woefully slow food delivery, from arrival to main courses being served was about 1hour 45mins. Had to ask twice where food was as we got no feedback, kids got fractious, no offer of drinks or discount to compensate. When food arrived items were missing and had to ask for them. Starters overpriced for quantity. We were looking forward to this as it was my wife’s birthday and disappointed. Not up to previous standards and obviously understaffed. Will think twice about returning again

We decided to take our Grandsons out for a meal on Friday 19th December, booked a table for 4pm as neither boys like hanging around too long, There was no table service which wasn’t a problem so ordered food and drinks and waited for our food, an hour later it arrived, fish was over cooked and everything seemed panicky, my husband and I regularly go for lunch but definitely won’t be going again at tea time, there were only two staff on plus the Manager, Sorry but this was a really bad experience, Ryan was running about trying to keep things pleasant but I’m afraid this wasn’t.

A meagre Christmas dinner cooked badly. Service was terrible, we had two courses then coffee and it took two and a half hours to complete!

Excellent food went back for the mixed grill, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

A very good dining experience, we had a School Christmas lunch and it was very well managed, staff were fantastic especially Katie she was a star and took very good care of us. Paul

Our table was booked for 1pm and our food arrived at 2.45pm. It was cold, overcooked, and not at all apertizing. Admitted we got 30% off total bill. But not a good experience

We went to.the christmas elsa morning our 2yr old granddaughter loved it.

Got there for 7pm, and food arrived at 8:25. Chewy steak and very small amount of peas on the side.

Had to leave with no food. Waited almost 2 hours and no food, no updates. Terrible place. Used to be good but place has gone downhill.

Lovely cosy atmosphere, friendly & efficient staff

Went to Cobblestones when it first opened many years ago and wasn’t impressed. In the last month I have been three times and each time, it got better and better becoming really quite impressive. However tonight’s visit was like going back years. Table booked, we arrived early and was pointed to a table that was so close to the next table I hear their entire conversation. Strangely enough subsequent customers arrived who hadn’t booked, they were allowed to pick their own table. Food arrived after a long long wait. My mixed grill was average, with cold sausages while everything else on the plate was warm not hot. Ordered more drinks one being a sparkling water, the waitress brought over just a bottle of sparkling water without a glass. I asked her for a glass. She returned with one that was filthy. I took it to the bar and asked another member of staff for a clean glass she looked under the bar but couldn’t find one. A whole bar without a clean glass? Shockingly poor. A clean glass was found in the kitchen and eventually brought over to our table. Sorry Cobblestones just when I thought I had underestimated you wrongly, you proved tonight to be lacking.

The pub is always a joy to eat at. Food is very good.

Nice place to have a meal and it's child friendly but please check what you order as you don't always get the hole order food was cooked to order and was happy with it.

Lovely staff service good clean toilet will back in summer with my daughter and little dog I wish all staff happy chirstmas and thank you all food very 👍

Distinctly average food now. It used to be a lot better, but when you get a Yorkshire pudding they seems so thick and dry like a piece of bread left out for three days, then you can't enjoy or eat it. Waitress said she would send over the manager, didn't see hide nor hair off him. Well I shall be voting with my feet and going elsewhere to spend my money on a Sunday roast in future.

Waited 40 minutes for a drink and one and a half hours for a meal Only had a quarter of the menu and not much that either of us wanted so had to chit from the restricted menu on offer Use to go 2-3 times a week now will have to find alternative place to dine Very disappointed In answer to your reply to reach out to you Every meal we asked for was not available We did complain but where informed no one was available as you where very sort staffed Within one minute of walking out as so disappointed with the lack of service If you doubt my integrity then I will happily meet to discuss

Came this Wednesday, ordered hunters chicken menu states it’s smothered in bbq sauce…. None at all on mine or my friends and chicken was as dry as anything. I did ask for some sauce to be bought out but this must of been too much to ask as none came . We won’t be returning again

Came for a meal with family. 10/10 experience all round , couldn’t fault the staff and food was exceptional. Will definitely return.

We ordered our food. Which came in a timely manner. Unfortunately I have an allergy to peppers, re, green, yellow etc. I ordered scampi and chips with mushy peas. The waitress said the scampi had been cooked in a different fryer due to risk of peppers, but not my chips. My scampi, looked pale as though uncooked, when eating one it was soggy, and barely cooked. The mushy peas, we're quite thick I could have picked them up like a biscuit. Nothing appetising about the meal at all. We left needless to say we will not be returning. This pub used to do some lovely foods, such a shame. I have told a number of people not to use Cobblestones

It was awful the worst food I have ever had it shouldn’t not have been served the Yorkshire was as flat as a pancake and not throughly cooked the veg hard and stuffing broke my tooth although why you have stuffing with a roast beef dinner is beyond me they need a new chef that’s for sure should have stayed at home at least I would have had a decent roast dinner totally spoilt my wedding anniversary

Great atmosphere and very welcoming feel about the place. Warm and cozy we were a table of 6 ,ordered drinks and they came quickly and once the food order was taken it wasn’t long before we got our food. Everyone said how fresh and hot there’s were and very tasty.

Service was slow. Table was sticky. Soup was only lukewarm. Food felt like ot had been nice once but had been reheated and was dried up. Sundae was served in a small bowl and seemed to be a small portion compared to the menu image.

Great meal, the assistant manager could not do enough for us, he was fabulous, Def recommend visiting . Food was delicious and came very quickly.

We were disappointed on our arrival. We had pre-booked and we directed to a table close to the entrance and bar. Reluctantly the member of staff found us a better placed table. Our order was taken by an extremely sociable member of staff and we enjoyed a delicious meal

Just had a lovely lunch service was excellent the only thing that concerned me was the lovely man and lovely young lady serving were on there own as so called cut backs on a half term and busy day were rushing around a lot and they still managed to smile and be polite and friendly and helpful

Granted the food has improved from the buy one get one free days. But last night I was charged a ridiculous £9.75 for a single glass of red wine. So I shall not be going again.

Like Cobblestones, close to home, and usually have a very nice meal, staff polite and resturant clean, good value for money

Stopped here for a meal with kids on way home. We had a good time service was good and food was decent enough by far. Had a lovely time. Worth stopping by, located outskirts of town though probably better for food than drinking a lot

I've eaten here a few times now. Beautiful venue, friendly staff, lovely menu. Lots of parking & outdoor tables too.

The staff are lovely, friendly people and were welcoming. After reading recent reviews on the local Facebook page, and although they were mixed it did appear to be more positives, so we thought we'd return ourselves. We haven't been for a few years following some poor quality meals. However, our visit this week only left us very disappointed. Unfortunately both our meals were below average, and although much was left on plates, we weren't asked if everything had been ok as the bill was presented after declining desserts. The Steak & Ale Pie top crust was rock hard - it was as if the pie had been kept warm all day. The garden peas were dehydrated as been overcooked and kept warm. Some of the chips were rock hard. The steak was dry and tough even though cooked as requested, medium rare, so our guess is the meat was of cheap quality. All our family wanted to know how it was as also thinking of trying again. So, whilst we were hopeful that Cobblestones had changed for the better, we cannot recommend as we won't be returning ourselves.

Spot on the steak roast dinner was awesome, service great will be back for sure. A great meeting place with good food, will not be driving past again that's for sure.

Booked a table for 12 on a busy Saturday afternoon, to celebrate a family birthday, staff were lovely and informed us of a slightly longer wait on food due to them being extra busy. Food was delicious and good value for money. The only criticism is that the app didn’t seem to show everything on the menu so we had to go to the bar to order. Thanks to the team

Hi Went for lunch and everything was great. Didn’t wait too long for food. Watched the large tv …Our little Jack Russell was made very welcome. A special mention to Grace who was very customer friendly and we had a lovely chat. She loved Pippy. Happy birthday for next week Grace. Will return soon.

We often come to the cobblestones and enjoy yourselves but tonight was really great, our server Tara was absolutely brilliant, fun, bubbly and made our experience so worth coming! The food was excellent and the services is impeccable, will def be back and if we have Tara again it will just make the experience better, thank you for having us and would highly recommending Tara😊

Gluten free menu great but the staff adapted the Sunday roast so I could join in with the Sunday roast dinner. I didn't feel I missed out and had plenty to eat. So many places say they adapt it but you end up paying full price for half a meal because they just don't give you anything with gluten in it. The staff were lovely and didn't make me feel I was being fussy for having a serious medical condition, which is a rarity. Highly recommend for people needing gluten free food!

2 of our party had the same meal (chicken) both became valiantly sick within 2 hours of eating. Continuing to be very poorly for 24 hours. Clearly food poisoning. Do not eat here!

Wow, 1st time visiting, the restaurant & bar was tasteful decorated, staff were friendly & polite, food was served quickly, hot, good value for money & delicious, my overall experience was amazing, definitely will visit again 😊

Fantastic place for a night out with friends and family alike.

Very poor, no draught bitters available, food either over cooked or such poor quality it was inedible and slow service despite being quiet on a Saturday lunch. Even had to get own cutlery from a tray near bar -brings all sorts of hygiene issues. No checkback on whether we enjoyed meal and as they take payment in advance no opportunity to discuss with staff how bad it was. Some dishes served on chipped crockery. If you do risk it, don't have the sirloin, it was gristly and tasteless. Edit, just had a reply telling me that I was placed in the non-problem service area implying that was because we were a walk in. We were not, we had booked well in advance so the reply, I'm afraid is an excuse.

Overall fine, friendly service. Portion size of the chips and sauce with the fish & chips was small, sauce didn't even cover the bottom of the pot and the option to double the chip portion for a cost shows that it's to small in the 1st place. Nevertheless still tipped and would try going again.

Stopped here for lunch on our way home after a break away. Food very good and staff very friendly and obliging.

Went to cobblestone Saturday 21st September for lunch with friends so disappointed the wait for our order well over an hour portion size wasn’t the. Biggest difficult to understand the delay as it wasn’t busy . Staff seemed very stressed felt sorry for them doubt we will return.

What a horrible place to eat now, 20 mins before we was even asked if we wanted a drink, not busy today either.

This visit was really good. The food was tasty and Tara was professional and attentive and very friendly.

I visit the Cobblestones a couple of times per month with my Mother and her Auntie whom is wheel chair bound. The staff are always so helpful and attentive. We visited on Thursday 12th September at 2.15pm and I have to say the young lady that greeted us and served us yesterday (Freya) was absolutely outstanding , she was so polite and helpful , nothing was too much trouble. Freya is a credit to the team.

Decided to try Cobblestones again after a long break and things have changed. Service was very good and it was busy when we were there mid week. Food is still good and staff checked for allergies before taking our order and were attentive and helpful.

Would have liked more veg with Sunday roast and a little less potato.

I liked everything. Quiet place. Convenient parking. We've been here twice. The first time we sat inside, and this time outside. Good service and nice people

Staff were great. Table numbers missing and tables sticky but staff sorted this out. Enjoyed our meals and very reasonable price.

Nice and relaxed. Staff very helpful and at the time they were running a coupon offer which is always a bonus.

Meats on mixed grill were cold. Extra chips were ordered for 2 meals but these had to be prompted as not with meals on delivery to table. One meal was also poor size for the cost.

We were made very welcome and seated near a window with plenty room for a wheelchair, as requested when we booked. The meals, drink and ice cream were lovely and the staff was very attentive.

Lovely food had a great time staff was amazing especially the lady called Tara really looked after me and my family will definitely be coming again

WE NEED & INEXPENSIVE TO USE. SO VISIT, REVIEW & ENJOY AS WE DO.

Dog friendly, so I called in to break up a long journey and give my dog a break. We were made very welcome by the friendly staff, and my lunchtime veggie burger was very tasty. I will call in again in future, because of this positive experience.

Went because your term's stated children eat for a £1. No where did it mention it had to be off the children's menu. This is misleading.

We were visiting the area and meeting a relative from nearby who has a medical condition which makes travel difficult. Having spent time with our relative we decided to have a meal. A search of the internet and a telephone call provided a solution to the meal requirement. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a clean table. Drinks were ordered followed by the meal. Both were served with care. The food was of good quality. Having spent a relaxing and enjoyable time we parted knowing that this will not be the last time we visited this establishment.

Nice and quiet Tuesday night. Full helpful service, peaceful atmosphere. 3 incredible courses, perfectly cooked chicken wings and the ultimate spicy burger was the perfect mix of spice and sweet. Very much impressed by the chef, Sam. Service was quick and efficient too. Compliments to the staff, Alfie, Holly and laney. Definitely worth the 5 stars.

I am totally dismaid that you have a Christmas tree and decorations displayed already. I understand that you want to be booked out for Christmas but it is four months away, and we have just had the late summer bank holiday. It totally takes away the magic and excitement of Christmas
