Very small pub, slow service, no food & too many children running around being so loud. We just wanted a quick drink after work

1st time of going since it has been re done and taken over. Interior done very nice. Lady who served us was very chatty smily and helpful. Was very quiet though for a Saturday night.

We went for a pool match, the folk we met were pleasant, drinks good, didn't have food

Lovely evening at The Men of March for the reopening night under new management. Absolutely packed but the staff did a great job. Can't wait for them to start doing food. We'll done

Service was terrible . Didn't buy a drink as couldn't get served . They new around 80 people were coming it was arranged and only one person serving. No other staff at all

I'm never one to leave reviews but in this case I feel I must, if I could give a -10 star then that would be too much to give this absolute shamble of a place. I have been to the Men of March a few times in the past few years and every time I go its worse than the time before. I went on Monday for my partner's aunt's wake, they were pre-warned of the amount of people expected to turn up (around 70/80 people) however only had 1 member of staff on. I felt sorry for him at first as He was on his own, but then when we finally got served (waited well over half an hour) he was extremely rude, didnt seem bothered that he was serving drinks that were wrong, never seen a pint with such a head on it there was no point in it being a pint! Wasn't bothered about changing the barrels/post mix for the soft drinks, he didn't seem to know what drinks they actually had. The place was filthy! You could write your name on the dust! You could see the footprints of where people had gone up and down the stairs to the toilets! The glasses were dirty! Quite a few people ended up going over to the shop to get a drink! We got better service at the shop! When someone phoned them up the day after they didn't seem bothered at all. If you want extremely poor service then I definitely recommend 🙄

Pretty shocking place to be honest.. had a wake booked here with around 60+ people turning up to find only 1 bar staff behind the bar taking nearly 20+ minutes to get a drink even then they couldn’t pour a drink properly watching so much drink being wasted the selection soft drinks was diet only coke and when asked if they do normal coke I got the answer of yeah maybe when I get a chance to go to the cellar and get one, bar staff has a right attitude on him and even when saying about having more staff his answer was well I got everyone served didn’t I and said yeah but took a long time to get a drink and he didn’t care and said we’ll at least they got one in the end, the place need a bloody clean it’s a shame really as the place has good potential

Does not even deserve 1 star. Absolutely terrible experience, had a family wake here and there was easily 50+ people attended, only 1 member of bar staff on. Took over 30 minutes to get served, when I finally ordered 2 lemonades and a southern comfort and lemonade I received 2 pints of soda water and a southern comfort with soda water, no offer of ice and fruit slice, I would strongly avoid this place.

We had a group of 70 people booked for a wake and with only 1 member of staff on we were all very disappointed having to wait for over 30 minutes for a drink and to add to this soda instead of lemonade for a larger shandy was disgusting, yes we did complain and was told the managers will be down soon to help after which never happened most of us left after a while to find another pub to get served a lot quicker very disappointing on our very sad day

Well what can I say . I have never been to a pub with such poor service . One person on the bar serving around 80 people. They new we were coming too , it had been arranged . Stood at the bar intially for an hour couldnt get served, Understandable as we were a large party of people That They New were Coming !!! and one person on the bar !!! So waited an hour and went back to the bar Queue was shorter . Great or so I thought , then waited and waited and waited , the queue was not served in order which was very annoying. It wasnt the person serving fault !! He was doing his best Why did they not arrange for other people to serve ? When they new we were coming ?? No proper til , using an ipad , and a small peice of apparatus to take your money I wish I could give a better review , but the service was just too poor

Really a good place to be. Above all the good customer service needs to be mentioned.

Wow! Congratulations to Mark and Jess. They have recently taken over the Men Of March and they have done wonders with it. It's all smartened up. We've been several times and it's getting better all the time. They already have great Karaoke and Snooker and they are working to prepare to do meals soon. If you are anywhere near March it's a must-go-to place.

Lovely pub with a real family feel to it

This on nice pub the reviews are as they say. Pleasant and friendly, the facilties are spotless and the locals are a pleasure to chat to, I wonder the UK and this pub has a good feel to it. Still a couple of days left to wonder around this town and will call in again.

Amazing people that work there easy 2 get on with very polite clean organised n very proffesional but make u feel at home recommend the men of march every time my best pub in March *****🥰❤

The landlord Ash is an absolute legend! Not only did he give me a free Birthday shot he helped me win the jackpot on the fruity!!

we went there for lunch and was surprised by the quality and the value of the food .Mara & Ashley who run the pub are very friendly and welcome you with a smile. Jo who is the chef produced wonderful food with probably the best salad I have had anywhere. Everything is reasonably priced and we will definitely visit again. Well done for making it a very enjoyable experience.

Absolutley dreadful place to take your family with children foul langauge used by other customers food dreadful too when you order steak and are given pork will not be visiting here again

Very warm and welcoming landlady very friendly

Just moved to March and wanted to try the pub out. Not the best experience I must say. We went at 6:30pm and they didnt even know if the kitchen was open. Our 'napkins' were a square of kitchen roll and the food was dry and chewy. I had half a cocktail stick in my steak so they didnt forget what steak was well done in the 5 second walk from the kitchen. However, staff were pleasent and we would probably return for a drink just not the food unfortunately.

Top food .total satisfaction on all visits.freindly staff and good menu's to suit every one and a price to suit everyone. 5*.

Sirloin steak and mixed grill for £12 - freshly cooked and served with peas, onion rings, tomato and chips. The food was cooked to order and hadn't been sitting under heat lamps. We def need to visit here more often

this pub is small but brilliant. nice atmosphere really good value for money. clean, very pleasant staff beautifully clean. we eat here regularly. 2 3 times weekly

It’s been a few years since we were last year . Not very busy but it should be . Food is low priced and of good value . Large menu and delivered hot . Pleasant surroundings . Polite staff .

Going food , good beer, nice pub

We had lunch there today and we will not be returning.....food was not good and the beer was flat!!!........caveat emptor

Was OK for a quick cool drink in this heat while waiting to pick kids up, haven't tried the food so can not comment.

I think it was really good espacially the vegie burger☺☺

A very welcoming pub, food and service was good and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. This pub was also wheelchair friendly. We have all ready booked a table to go again.

Was a very good place to eat But over the last 3 month 6 out of 10 times we have gone we are told they not doing food even though menus on tables and we are not the only locals let down Very frustrating to see a pub advertising food and not doing it Won't be going again our other friends who come with ourselfs no longer going What a let down

Typical chain pub, decent beer and friendly staff, pool table, dart board and food a plenty. It does what it has set out to do.

Food is good and good for price

We went as a family of 8 and have been a few occasions. This is just good old fashioned pub grub with no pretentious above there station ideas. They do what they are good at and that is good quality pub food at a great price with good customer service.

Average cheap food but the atmosphere is good when it gets a bit busier. If you want a drink without going to the centre of town then it is a good place to go. When a sport event is on then the atmosphere is really fun

This pub is definitely worth a visit as it is one Marston's chain pub that really makes an effort for its customers. The food is well presented and offered at a very reasonable price, with a number of lunchtime and steak deals on offer. Management here are trying a second real ale right now to go alongside Pedigree, too. It's been a while since I last visited this pub - what an improvement.

This is part of Marstons chain so ordinary pub grub ,clean and tidy ,cheap meals , wine ok nothing special but drinkable .

This is a group pub without the frills. Found it disappointing was going to stay for lunch but decided a drink only. Looks little tired and not up to an eating establishment. This is a landlord run pub via the Marston Group.

Have eaten here many times and have always found the food to be excellent. Staff very friendly and good service.

On my way to Norfolk last Friday, my party of four strayed upon this superb Pub in March as we looked to satisfy our lunchtime hunger, and satisfy such we did ! The Men of March did us proud with main courses of sirloin steak, mixed grill, chicken chasseur and grilled chicken, and together with one starter (garlic mushrooms) and some drinks, the total bill was ridiculously cheap (£41)! The food was freshly cooked and the young staff were attentive and interesting with their conversation. 'Non', the chef was eager to explain the virtues of her Pub and how right she was to do so. Please do not be put off by the cheap prices - the food and service was excellent and I can only hope 'Non's plans for the future come to fruition - she and her staff deserve it. Well done 'Non' and Co and thank you for a very memorable meal.

Today we waited full hour to get our food and we were disappointed when it arrived.

Good foods & friendly staffs. Asked for a medium rare steak and it was cooked to perfection. I will def be coming back in the future.

Whilst it is a chain pub the Men of March do it really well. Food is well cooked and presented, portions are fantastic and it's a lovely location

Excellent lunch, wonderful hostess, highly recommend this place. A great find, we will be back. My three year old had fabulous time as well. Great family meal out for a Sunday lunch.

Had lunch today. Had the Lite lunch. Wow what a lot of food! All very tast and grwat value for money. Super service. And great atmosphere.

Lovely food and friendly service ,varied menu for all appetites and tastes. Lush desserts especially caramel cuppuccino torte !! Not far from march town centre easy to locate. Would recommend :))

Lovely to see our local thriving with such a lovely atmosphere.The new manageress is very serious about customer relations and excellent service .The atmosphere is friendly and hospitable for all the family . The pub is well kept and a pleasure to visit ..The food is excellent and lots of events to look forward to
