The Stables Bar & Grill in Fenland

Went Friday for the fish and chip special. One was overcooked but problem sorted quickly and efficiently so no complaint there. Otherwise nicest meal I've had for some time, great value and friendly service. Definitely would go again

4 of us tried somewhere new for Sunday dinner and were so pleasantly surprised. A top class carvery with a selection of each meat, a good selection of perfectly cooked veg was spot on! The staff were helpful and pleasant and the restaurant is clean and tidy. Definitely going back without fail!!! 👌🏼

Family visit with a baby. Staff organised a high chair for the baby. The staff were generally very attentive and friendly. A reasonable choice of food to choose from. Excellent cheese board for dessert. All of the party agreed it was good food at great value. We will be using this place again.

We were so looking forward to going to The Stables Bar & Grill as the facilities at the Golf & Country Club are very good, unfortunately the restaurant lets it down badly. It was the usual Sunday Carvery - meat quite good but usual watery vegetables, no mashed potatoes just roast potatoes & cauliflower cheese. The room itself needs a good make over as it's very dark and old fashioned. What would have made it look more cheerful is if anyone could have been bothered to light the log burner, which might have made a difference. Bar staff/waitresses were efficient & friendly but the chap serving the meat wasn't friendly at all. Could someone please bring it into line with the rest of the facilities.

We were looking forward to our night out here, it was our first and last. It was easy to find the complex from the road but once on site the Bar & Grill was not well signed and in the dark was difficult to spot. It was a Saturday evening, the place was almost deserted, the reason for which I would put down to poor food and uninviting surroundings. What I can say is that the lady behind the bar was friendly and the food itself was inexpensive but I could not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent little country pub, good grub, fine local ales, & very friendly staff. You can't go wrong!
